Uzi's golden eyes examined the eels again, the partially already been tasted eels. No , she was not going to touch those germs or not. The animal like alter shook her head " No I trust you that it is not good." Briefly she wondered if they could not pay for it on the grounds that it tasted bad. probbaly not. Ah, at least Lauss enjoyed the food she had ordered.
As they shared the food another question came to Uzi's mind, it was not a pleasant thought but she felt the urge to ask it anyways. For some morbidly perverse reason she needed to know "What will you do when Lee dies?" No part of the huntress had much faith in Lauss skills to take care of himself long term.

What kind of a question was this, now? Lauss sat still for a moment, sitting back and staring at his friend as he tried to wrap his mind around the sentence. "Why would she do that?" Was she terminally ill? Oh, well, sure, she would die someday, but that was too far off to concern himself with now, wasn't it? Lowering his head, he thought about it a bit more. What would he do? "I... suppose that hasn't crossed my mind..." Lee would die someday. Did that do away with his purpose, as well? "And when Eli dies?" Did Uzi wonder the same for herself?

Uzi supposed it was to be expected, after all Lauss didn't deal with death on a regular basis ans it wasn't as if lee risked being bitten or mauled by some sort of wild animal normally either. The combat type essentic has a soft almost sad look on her face as she spoke. " I will live on the edges of the property out in the wastelands and continue to hunt," Uzi's tail flipped flopped while she talked. " I do not think I would be comfortable find a new territory" she admitted. The land would likely not belong to her, even if it was seventy years from now Uzi doubted her kind would be allowed to own property then, humans seemed.. slow to change their ways and opinions if what she knew of their history was correct.
Even if she could not live on the farmland itself Uzi would stay on it's edges though living and hunting in the section of wasteland she knew best. She would always be a hunter and though she was disturb by the idea of no longer having Eli Uzi knew that when the time came she was strong enough to forge forward alone.
