Lironax whimpered lightly when Pepper stroked his tentacle again, growing tired of the appendage's continuous pining for attention. He forced it to draw close, wrapping it around his arm and stroking it lightly while he tried to keep his heart from exploding. He looked up at Pepper in curiosity at the question, then looked back down again. He didn't know that tentacles had names. Well, he knew about Reena and Niita, but... that was different? Well, whatever the reason, he had never considered it before. The boy shook his head gently. "No, it doesn't. I... I never really thought of one before..." he trailed off.
His eyes widened when Pepper once again asked him how he was feeling, and he stammered for a few seconds, mind cursing his body and body cursing his mind. Eventually he managed to force the words out, although his face was brighter than seemed possible. "N-N-N-No! N-Nothing's wrong! Just... uh..." he paused, trying to think of an excuse that didn't involve him being sick. When he failed to find one, he hunched his shoulders a little, part of him wishing he could dissolve into the floor. "No-nothing's wrong..." he asserted meekly. To be honest, he already was pretty sure that Pepper wouldn't believe him. But how was he supposed to admit the real reason...?

He couldn't help but give the other a raised eyebrow as she withdrew her appendage and kept it close to herself. Perhaps she is ticklish? He hadn't thought of that maybe that was why she acted so weird when he touched her.
She also was hiding the fact something was wrong. Maybe she was sick but was trying to put on a brave face? The idea didn't seem that far fetched. He looked down to her lap noticing she was squirming a bit. He tilted his head noticing something he probably should of noticed before.
"Um...." He pointed with a claw at her crotch, "...pretty sure girls don't...do that..."

Lironax’s mind drew a blank at Pepper’s comment, and slowly he looked down to where the other had indicated to see his traitorous body giving him away in the worst way possible. His ridiculous tentacle wasn’t helping the situation at all, what with its wiggling and squirming to attend to the… problem. Quickly, his hands rushed to cover the rise in his clothing, looking helplessly up at Pepper for a second before staring at the floor, the most embarrassed that he had ever been in his entire life.
Trembling slightly, he started breathing a little heavily, wondering what on Earth he was supposed to do now. He could try and leave, but he wasn’t sure that he could figure out how to exit the maze-like Facility from Pepper’s room. And he certainly didn’t want to wander about the creepy place in his current state. On the other hand, he was sure that Pepper could lead him back, but since he had finally noticed that Lir wasn’t all he said he was, it would take a lot explaining – painful explaining – to get him to lead him out. And Lir wasn’t sure that he could handle doing that without exploding or, like, catch on fire.
Stuck like this as he was, Lironax began to panic, biting at his lip and trying to keep the tears that had suddenly appeared from dripping down his face. Stupid body… It wasn’t fair! Now Pepper was probably going to hate him, and it had seemed like they were going to be good friends…

Pepper observed the other silently. He wasn't so...stupid that he didn't now realize Lir was...a boy not a girl. And he felt a bit stupid himself for not realizing it sooner. A bunch of things seemed to click into place that suddenly made sense. He could tell this...him finding out, upset Lironax. He wasn't really sure why Lir wuold be upset over that. But he went to join Lir on the bed sitting beside him. It felt weird suddenly having switch from using 'her' to 'him'.
He didn't really understand WHY Lironax was posing as a girl. It really was quite beyond him. But he definantely could tell Lironax was now upset at him finding out. After a moment he wrapped an arm around Lir's shoulder and drew him close to him. He didn't want Lir upset.
"Hey don't be like that. I still like you Golden Eyes." He murmured though he guessed he'd do this for anyone. "Don't be upset." He stated again, with a nod of his head.

To be honest, the last thing Lironax expected from Pepper at this point was physical contact. Or, at least, gentle physical contact; he'd gotten very used to being either ignored or harassed at school, especially by the boys, especially when those who tried to hit on him found out he was a boy. So the half-hug had him gently sitting upright, looking at Pepper with wide eyes. A strange, half-sob half-laugh noise came out of his mouth at the use of his nickname again and he sat a little straighter, wiping a few tears off of his face and smiling at Pepper.
"S- Sorry," he said after a while, looking at the floor timidly. "It was just- Well, you thought I was a girl, and um, well, that's kind of, uh, what I'm going for," he said with a nervous chuckle, "And correcting you would've taken a lot of explaining, so I guess I kind of, er, rolled with it." He laughed nervously again before looking up at Pepper with a smile. "I'm sorry I lied to you, Pepper. Thanks for not beating me up," he said honestly, unaware of how tragic that might have sounded.
Lir sat awkwardly for a few more seconds, before glancing at his watch out of habit and started suddenly. Holy crap, had it really been that long? He was supposed to be home by now! He stood up suddenly, quickly unwrapping his tentacle from where it had circled Pepper's wrist. "Oh no! I should have been home half an hour ago!" He looked around fretfully, lost as he was, before looking at Pepper helplessly. "Um, would- would you mind showing me back out? I mean, I'd do it myself, but I guess I'm kind of totally lost."

Pepper listened and though he didn't understand the draw of wanting to look like a girl though he gave a snort and went to nibble on Lir's ear in a playful manner before replying.
"Why would I beat you up?" He stated before Lir suddenly was standing up he blinked and then went to follow him in suit.
"Yeah of course Golden Eyes," he replied with a grin as he went to unlock the door to his their apartment and then gestured for Lironax to follow. He no longer held Lir's hand but he was still...close by. Somehow Lir being a boy just changed the way he treated him..not in a bad way just in a buddy buddy sort .
"Sorry to have kept you so long then."

Lironax smiled gratefully at Pepper in return, a part of him still squirming in delight at the nickname. It didn't matter that Pepper knew he was technically a boy now; he could still... like him. Nodding, he followed Pepper through the confusing maze of the Facility, for once appearing at ease in Pepper's presence. There was very little blushing or stammering now that there was nothing to hide.
Once they finally reached the entrance, Lironax smiled a little sadly to Pepper, his tentacle reaching out to hug his wrist one more time. It was a shame the interesting boy lived at the Facility; Lir probably wasn't going to see him for a long time... He shook his head at the apology, the persistent blush returning as he moved a strand of hair out of his face. "Oh, don't say you're sorry. It was fun. I... I enjoyed meeting you, Pepper." The transgirl lingered there for a second, almost taking a step forward to hug the other spawn, then deciding against it and darting out the door to his bus stop.
Once he was there, he bounced uncharacteristically as he waited, a goofy smile refusing to leave his face. Even if it hadn't gone the way he would have liked it too, he still was over the moon about Pepper. He couldn't wait to go home and tell Adhara!
