Damn! She'd missed! Honestly, she was going to have to beg someone to spar with her, or take fencing in her spare time. What spare time? Screaming in frustration at what should have been an easy double steal, Linarite almost drowned out the sound of a senshi attack being directed at her!
However, the flash warned the bluenette Lieutenant what was coming, and she managed to just barely get out of the way, the blast grazing her leg and forcing her to twist painfully in midair. A surge of quick triumph flowed with the adrenaline through her veins, and suddenly, her world erupted in a slicing pain.
"Aieeeeeeeee~~" Her side lunge was interrupted as her momentum suddenly fell off as her body curled in onto itself in pain, hitting the cement with a heavy thud. Where had that come from?! Looking down at herself and hissing with the pain of it, she saw dozens of shallow cuts all over the center of her body, covering her torso and mid-arm area, seeping blood slowly.
The second attack hadn't come from the redhead. From who then? Lifting her head, it was hard to miss the glowing gold and white male figure. "Another senshi?! Another male senshi?! What happened to all the girls?!" The comment was incredibly inappropriate for the situation, but it was all she could think as her skin shivered with the pain of the razor cuts.
Sliding to stand again, her hands gripped the hammer as tightly as she could. She wouldn't be caught again! "No matter. I'll just take your seed too!" Or this would hurt quite a lot.

Even just the slight hit of her attack was enough to satisfy Pegasus, who was still trying to recover from the giant hammer attack. It hadn't been the most well-aimed attack ever, that was for sure, so the teal-skirted senshi was surprised to hear a cry of pain in the direction of the lieutenant, her blue-green eyes flickering towards her in surprise. Those wounds couldn't be from her. Her attack was just a basic energy blast, something more likely to throw you around and maybe make a lieutenant sore -- it was a pretty weak attack. Effective against youma's, not in the least deadly for a full blown nega-baddie. That attack looked more like horizontal claw marks...
'Another senshi?! Another male senshi?!'
Following Linalite's line of sight, Pegasus stared at the other, newly-found senshi, looking none too relieved at his presence. The help was welcome, certainly, but there was an air of reservation about the senshi of dreams. This was something new, something she hadn't counted on, and she was always wary of situations like that. She didn't know this senshi, and until she got a better feel for who he was, she was going to keep her distance a little.

All. Freaking. Right. Fifty plus ego points, he'd actually -hit- her. Probably even looked like he actually had some idea what he was doing! Pride, no small irony there, made his approach a bit more confident, lifting a hand in warning to try the attack again. How many times could he do that anyway? Preferably without setting something on fire. Well... it wasn't like Psycho-roof-chick needed to know.
"Yeah yeah, the only thing you're gonna take is a boot to the a**." He snorted. "Or you could do us all a favor and run. Melted rubber just -stinks-." He added, with a nod toward her huge hammer. Not that he was actually convinced he -could- melt it. But when you were going to bluff, bluff like hell... and for that matter hope that Tallulah had maybe maybe MAYBE forgotten she wanted to film this.
He had no idea how he was going to explain to her that, no, he didn't really have any plans to come to her campus just to transform into some kind of fire throwing fighter in boy-scout shorts.
Pants. Why couldn't it have been pants?
His attention fixed on the fight, and perhaps to a certain degree on trying to look good for this "Pegasus" character, his functional audience, he didn't even register the more concealed Tallulah, even partially emerged from cover.

Tallulah frowned. Star seeds? What were star seeds, and what was she talking about stealing them? She tried to get the camera to zoom in further, but it wouldn't. Still, it would be dumb to try to get closer. Tallulah sighed and stayed put for the moment, looking to see what these three uniformed warriors might do next.
She had the distinct feeling she was out of her league, but that didn't mean she was going to pack up and go home.

Linarite had started with every intention of taking on both senshi. Strategically it was unsound. However, it was better to be absolutely destroyed physically than to run away from yet another senshi battle! However, when she'd gone to raise the hammer, a pain shot through her body, driving her yet again to her knees.
Apparently, the superficial cuts had gone a bit deeper, and now blood was dripping down the inside of her jacket, soaking the lining and dripping over her once-pristine white gloves. Seeing this, she all but dropped her hammer, vanishing it into the magical space it was stored in.
Raising her hands up to her face, the blue-haired lieutenant paled to an almost ghostly sheen, stared at the boy one final time. "You...what did you do to me?!" With this, Linarite turned on her heel, and fled. This was different than that mistake in the park. This was pure, unadulterated PAIN! She could only move at a fraction of her speed, and a parting shot was all but forgotten as she concentrated on getting as far away as she could.
God, she was bleeding! She could really get hurt! It was absolutely terrifying. Never again would she be so stupid! Or so she thought.

A look of bewilderment clouded the teal-skirted senshi's expression, her blue-green eyes flickering to the blood seeping from Linarite's side, even more surprised when the lieutenant fell to her knees. Instinctively she almost moved to go to her side, to see if she were alright, but after a moment she realized the stupidity in that. If the blue-haired girl was faking... but she didn't LOOK like she was faking. That blood looked pretty real, and her weapon was gone, dissolving into thin air, no doubt into some nega-portal or something. Pegasus tilted her head a little, eying her for a few long minutes, blinking slowly as she paled, both of their attentions slipping to Regulus, one after the other.
What had he done to her? And who was he, for that matter?
As Linalite fled, Pegasus kept her eyes on the brown and gold clad senshi, giving him a wary, blank look, taking a few steps back. The danger was over -- Linalite had fled. She certainly wouldn't be looking for the two meddling schoolkids now. There was no reason for her to stick around. Of course, it was unreasonable for her to be wary of other senshi. She should be teaming up with them, helping them. But she couldn't help but feel a little reserved. And so she started to retreat back into the shadows. She had never been sure whether all senshi could do this, or if it was just a side effect of being the Senshi of Dreams, she she always seemed to be able to mirage her way out of things.
Or maybe they just didn't usually pursue her. Who knew?

Jaimie himself felt his sense of triumph washing away in the idea that he had actually -hurt- someone. Not singed them up a little bit or given them a good scare... really hurt, which on some significant level, he really hadn't been prepared for. He'd thought he was, with her threatening himself, Tallulah and this other girl... but the reality was a lot different than the fantasy, and the entire idea that the girl was bleeding, her gloves all streaked in red, felt like it was acid etched onto his mind. Shocking especially for someone who had prided himself on being able to watch any given slasher movie without a flinch, but the people in slasher films didn't yell at you in quite that tone of voice, and the people you were supposed to be helping didn't look at you like that.
without really knowing what the two parties were fighting for, suddenly even Astrea's insistence on the idea of something that was just generically 'evil' sounded limp, and he felt small and sort of childish for biting.
He must have looked similarly stunned, though he didn't have an answer for either of them, and although part of him said he should run after Pegasus, find -someone- that could give him some answers, he felt like his boots had been filled with lead instead.
"I uh..." He answered lamely, though everyone was really more retreating than answering, and he took a sort of hesitant backward step himself. Oh crap...where was Tallulah? What the hell would she think if she saw any of this? "...I was trying to help..."

...And the girl in gray was gone. And her hammer, too. Had she been hurt? Tallulah thought she might have been, but she'd been too far away to really see. The pair in the sailor suits were still there, looking like perhaps the world's mightiest cub scouts. She would love to get closer and get a good look at their outfits, but maybe that wasn't such a good idea. She wasn't sure if they were really good guys, or just the lesser of two evils, or just tonight's winners.
Her phone began to beep, quite audibly.
She swore mildly and looked at it. [Memory Card Full] said the display. Tallulah heaved a sigh. It looked like that was all the footage she'd be taking tonight. Hopefully the pair in the courtyard wouldn't feel compelled to check it out - she didn't fancy having to explain to them what she was doing at school in the middle of the night.
Now, where had Jaimie gotten off to? She got to her feet and began to back-track.

Pegasus paused, the look on Regulus' face enough to make her do so. She gave him a bewildered look, confused as to why he seemed so upset. Was it because of Lina? Or was it because she was running away. It had nothing to do with the situation, nothing to do with him at all. It was just her way... she wasn't good at confrontation, she was shy of other senshi, lord knew why. But that look he was giving her....
Damn conscience. Where was Astraea? It wasn't her job to explain all this to him.
"She was trying to kill you," She replied, "If there is any other doubt in your mind, do not doubt that. She would have killed you in a heartbeat. And not even bothered to look back."

Kill him? With a freaking squeaky hammer? "With what? Her sense of humor? That... CAT said they're 'evil' He noted, making frustrated quote marks in the air. "But no one said anything about people getting killed...or... or SHREDDED. I mean s**t that was... I dunno." What the hell had he been -thinking- anyway. How was he supposed to change back? They could change back right? I mean you didn't see people walking around most of the time jumping off of buildings and throwing fire from their fingertips. "I gotta go find Tallulah." He added, clearly rattled by the entire affair. "Then I have to figure out what the hell I'm supposed to do after -ginsuing- a total lunatic for wielding a giant rubber hammer."
There was the crux of the problem. The only thing he really knew about the "Negaverse" was that they were supposed to be evil and trying to kill people, though if she could jump off a roof he didn't know why she'd be wielding a weapon more fitting to a fun-house. And Star Seeds. What the hell were Star Seeds? Did this 'Senshi' crap come with a manual?? "I don't know what the hell either of you are up to but the cliffs notes on this whole gig SUCK."

"Jaimie?" called Tallulah quietly as she rounded the science wing. Huh. Nothing here. He couldn't possibly have gotten that far... Where could he be?
She frowned and checked the time on her cell phone. It was really getting late. She needed to be getting home soon, but she needed to find him first, or else he might be lost on the sprawling Meadowview grounds forever.
"Jaimie?" she called again, checking the bushes outside the cafeteria.
Where was he?

She felt a little bad for the new Sailor Regulus, although she continued to keep moving backward. Although she wouldn't have put it exactly that way (cliff notes was tragically accurate) she certainly agreed. Being thrust into this situation, especially the situation Jaimie had been in, really sucked a**. Really, she had never had any formal training herself. In fact, she had never even seen another scout until a few nights before. At least he was lucky enough to know there were others around, likely to back him if he got into trouble.
And who knew? Maybe she would watch him a little. Just to make sure he could manage on his own. She was sure he could... but even if he didn't know it, she was hard pressed to throw a fledgling out into the cold. She wasn't that heartless, regardless of what the other girls at Crystal said about her.
Turning on her heal, she leaped over the fence and was gone.

Jaimie ground his teeth, snarling an low curse under his breath. He was briefly tempted to pursue the other Senshi, who was only -marginally- more informative than the cat...but he could hear Tallulah calling.
He wondered for a moment how he was going to explain his change of clothing to her... but somewhere in Pegasus' retreat the issue seemed to have resolved itself as his civilian life came roaring back, and with it what he'd been wearing before.
He swallowed the lump of anger and nerves that were in the back of his throat, and tried to follow the sound of Tallulah's voice, starting a slow jog in that direction back toward where he knew he'd tripped. "Tal?"

Tallulah looked up. That was Jaimie's voice! She ran towards it, not really sure where the sailor-suited warriors had run off to but glad he sounded unhurt. She rounded a corner and very nearly collided with his dark form.
"Jaimie!" she breathed happily, and in the heat of the moment wrapped him in a hug. She was glad he was alright!
Letting him go, she took a step back. "Where were you?" she asked. "Did you see it? I got the whole thing filmed. What do you think that was about?"

His head almost spun at her questions, if not for the reasons she might have expected. Had she really not recognized that it was him out there?? It seemed almost impossible... and nearly as unexpected as her hug, which he returned with one arm.
"Sorry, I got a little turned around... Are you ok??" He was... fairly sure she was. Hadn't he just been in the thick of things? But still... "I saw part of it." He admitted. "No idea what it was all about though. Did any of them look like kids from town? I mean they couldn't have been much older than us..." He started to question, then thought better of it. He wasn't sure he wanted to know. "...Actually, lets -get out of here-... then you can tell me. Just in case they come back..."
