Cody flinched as Edes seemed to suddenly remember his hate of water. "Edes... It's fine, really," he called out, wandering over to where the child was and crouching down next to him. "Edes, please don't be sad. Come, why don't we feed the fish?" he asked, wishing he could have suppressed his discomfort to keep his friend happy.

He suddenly noticing a dark patch of water and what looked like eyes staring at them. Yet, as he turned his head to look, nothing was seemingly there... Frowning, the spawn continued to watch that same section of water, remaining completely still.

"I thought I... Never mind, come on Edes, lets go feed the fish," he muttered, shaking his head. He didn't think he had been hallucinating when he saw those eyes and how the water darkened as something came close to the surface.

Melan was a little amused by the fact that Edes was feeding the cheese that he'd brought along to the bubble fish, more so that the creatures seemed so eager to take it from him. Then again who didn't appreciate a free meal? He hung back for a moment to watch as the fish seemed to follow after the boy with the curly hair even as he left the water to try to placate his friend.

So... Cody was afraid of the water enough that the other was trying to make him feel better by leaving the water and inviting him along. He blinked a couple times as he watched the way that Cody looked toward the water, claim that he thought something but never bother to finish the thought. He was about to ask when suddenly he was distracted greatly by Pepper rushing back and forth like some sort of cat on speed, gathering up as many of the fish as he could without popping them... though a few of the fish ended up back in the water despite his attempts to be careful.

Strange boy... nothing like 'him' he thought to himself as he crossed his arms over his chest and gave a bit of a smile as Pepper turned to show off all that he'd gathered. He had actually done fairly well in catching some good sized fish as well inside of those bubbles.

Behind Pepper in the water a small pair of purple orbs floated to the surface of the water, swaying back and forth as though caught up in the waves created by Pepper's excited dancing, sparkling in the light like a couple of gems, and looking rather pretty and enticing to those that might catch sight of them.

(( Does the 'Random Number' Thing. Edes = 1 Cody = 2 Pepper = 3 The one that the number comes up as is the one that spots the 'gems' first.

Also roll a D6 person who sees it then edit and do your post but with an outcome is the following:

1-2 Nothing, you just see the gems and you post as normal

3-4 Distracted by them, you can talk but your sort of spacing off as he stare at the pretty gems.

5-6 Drawn to them, must have gems. OMG PRETTY!

^_^ For the sake of story if you WANT do default to the 5-6 results you can. LOL ))

Cody shook his head, wishing Edes would just drop the subject of his discomfort. A little bit of discomfort was worth it to keep his friend happy. It wasn't like he would die or anything...

Upon hearing Pepper's shouting, he couldn't help but laugh. Pepper looked like a small child in candy store. He even had his arms full of what could have been considered at a distance. "Going to keep all of them, are you?" he called out, grinning. Perhaps he would catch himself a fish to keep as a pet. Melan did say some would make interesting pets...

"Come on, let's go catch some too. Or you could feed them cheese if you want," he added, completely forgetting all about his distrust in Melan. Pepper had caught several and he was ok and Edes had fed a few and he looked alright. Nothing looked dangerous so far... for now.

Melan was quite as he turned to look toward Pepper as he gave up ownership over most of the bubble fish that a moment ago he had been so proud of catching. Perhaps he was bit more like that one then he'd first thought. He watched as he moved toward deeper waters to reach out toward... wait what were those? He tilted his head to the side before giving a little gasp that was closer to delight then it was surprise as he saw the gem like item. He was quiet and seemed to be waiting for something instead of jumping in to intervene.

He'd almost thought that it was going to take more time to draw the Lake Guardian out but it would seem that he was more eager to make an appearance then the little, blue haired boy had expected. He took a step back as he wrapped his arms around himself and pulled his aura more tightly to himself to make himself less likely to be noticed by the guardian.

The two purple spheres twitched a bit before they rose up out of the water and set to swaying back and forth in front of Pepper, glimmering with a sparkling light that was all their own as they tried to draw the red skinned boy in closer to them.


(( If Edes or Cody spot the Gems they will need to make the same D6 roll like Pepper did but it will only apply to this round of posting. Pepper doesn't have to roll again. ))

Cody watched as Pepper ran off, chasing something purple-ish in the deeper waters. He recognized them as the same thing from before, but they didn't quite capture his attention like they had Pepper. Perhaps it was because he saw how much water lay between them...

Fluttering his wings irritably, the child looked over at Edes and giggled softly at how he essentially had made the fish his friend. The small orb floated rather close, yet seemed to pose no true threat and looked rather friendly so far. However, he had noticed the familiar tiredness sweep over his friend as he laid down. Edes would fall asleep eventually, unless something sparked his interest to keep him awake.

"Come on, let's go catch some fishes," he said, grinning and holding out a hand to his friend to help him up. Unlike Edes, Cody wanted to do something and sitting around wasn't exactly one of the things he wanted to do.

Melan's grin spread into something that didn't match with the innocent and child like face that he sported. He looked over at Edes who looked as though he were about to nap and Cody who seemed interested only in the curly haired boy. He gave a chuckle before he raced forward as fast as his little legs would carry him, "Better get ready! Things are about to get really fun!" He called out.

It was a at this time, and at the tugging of Pepper's hand on the glowing orbs that the water seemed to suddenly erupt into a huge tidal wave. Pepper was sent flying backwards due to the rush of water as well as a pretty good headbutt to the chest and in hot pursuit of a tasty meal of foolish children that had wandered to where they shouldn't be was the guardian of the lake, Torekane...

Cody gasped and stared, a grin quickly forming on his face. "That... is... so awesome!" he cried, looking much like Pepper had when he was chasing after the little bubbles earlier. He glanced over at Melan, noticing a similar excitement on his face at the sudden arrival of the gigantic creature.

Although, seeing Edes so close made him worry and rush forward. Sure, it was cool from a distance, but being up close and in striking and or eating range was a big no-no. "Guys, come on!" he hissed, grabbing Edes's shirt and Pepper's strange bone structure, attempting to pull them back a bit and failing miserably. He might have been able to drag Edes had he been the only one, but Pepper was far too much for him.

"Uhm, unless you wanna be fish food I'd suggest you MOVE!"
