This reminds me of a thing that happened at Kingdom of Loathing... illegally obtained Meat (which is the currency on that site... I know, just go with it) was causing runaway inflation in the marketplace, so they opened a game-run shop that sold insanely expensive "luxury" items to create a massive Meat sink that would rebalance the game economy.

Sorry that I've been gone from Gaia, but now that I'm back, I can actually be involved again.....
Dener Cri is, in my opinion and from what I've seen, basically a "if-you-have-it-you-can-spend-it." Saving up 1mil+ is a gamble if you want to buy something there, kind of like an EI in that you don't know if it'll turn out to be crappy, or really cool (exhibit A: that frog thing. Sadly, I don't remember the name). Honestly, I haven't seen anything in there worth buying yet, and certianly not for 6 million gold. Maybe if it were cheap, kind of like buying random stuff for under 100 gold each. That stuff would be worth someting in the 5-digit range, possibly 6. But millions of gold? For something you aren't even guarunteed to get when you actually DO get the money? From a shop that comes and goes worse than that mirage island thing on some Pokemon game a long time ago? I'm of the opinion that either it is a joke, or the admins thought they were doing something cool for those who actually pay real money for Gaia Gold, to reward them for just that.

I just read over my last post, and I need to make a correction (btw, anyone else missing the "quote" button? or maybe its the school browser?)
Most EI's are awesome. Those that aren't have redeeming factors. Like maybe 1 or 3 poses that make it worthwhile. Failing that, they're still worth something.
Comparing Dener Cri to EI's the way I did isn't fair to EI's. I apologize. I suppose a more apt comparison would be "a box of chocolates..." blaugh
