Curiously, Osu pushed open the door to the apartment. He hadn't been in here before! But.. Yassu had said something about going to see Aly... and the purple man wasn't in the main room.. or in the kitchen bit.. or the bathroom. So, Osu figured, he must be in here! Proud of himself for working it out, he stepped boldly into the apartment, grinning from ear to ear. The concept of privacy and personal space was, apparently, lost on the young Aerandir. He had run on ahead of Yassu, who (as usual) was taking far too long. Why walk when you could run!?
Pausing briefly for a moment, Osu looked around himself. He couldn't see the purple man... Maybe he was hiding! Or..maybe he just couldn't see that Osu was there. So, Osu decided to make his presence known.
"HI!!"

Acia stood in the kitchen, quietly preparing lunch for herself and Alli. And of course a little something for Jorai. Jorai, her little Tupsu, was not letting her forget that he deserved his share, flitting about her head with an energy he usually didn't possess during the day.
Her slim fingers delicately cut sandwhiches into small pieces, the crusts removed for Alli when she heard the door of the apartment open. she started slightly, narrowly missing her fingers with the rather sharp kitchen knife. Placing it down she peered out of the doorway, into the main lounge just in time to see a little bundle of red-orange fur looking around and crying out "Hi". She smiled a little. Fox ears and tail, white and black wings. Osu, then.
He looked quite skinny and tall for his age. Ahh... she remembered helping Alyosha with the artifacts which would become him. Her heart warmed and she smiled as she stepped through the doorway. "Hello" she said brightly, wondering, suddenly, how he had gotten here and why he was here alone. "Who are you, then?" she asked, feigning ignorance, whilst looking slightly warily to the door he had come in from.

Osu stared at the larger Aerandir for just a fraction of a second before grinning brightly. She wasn't who he had expected, but she could be a new friend!
"Hi! I'm Osu!" he replied cheerfully, before launching into a tirade of explanation. "'M looking for the puwple man... Al ...Al...Alie! Yassu said he's gonna show me stuffs.. like fire stuffs!" The little spellweaver gestured excitedly as he spoke. It was obvious that he was delighted by the thought of being shown new things.
Ieyasu, by this point, had reached the centre. Entering the main room, and seeing that Osu wasn't there, he began to look about. Where had that little monster gotten himself to now?
"Osu? Where are you?" the kitsune called, poking his head into the community kitchen and storage area.

Acia let her brain compute the speedy sentence before answering. "Ahh.. Alyosha is out... I think he's gone to Ar'Idil." she knelt down on the floor so she could talk to him face to face. She was delighted by this energetic child, his enthusiasm and energy were cheerful and infectious. She grinned, forgetting that he might be accompanied by an adult and took in his long staff. The staff was longer than Osu was high. "Well, Osu" she addressed him seriously. "If you want to learn about fire then it'll be me who teaches you" she stopped for a moment, considering this. she had realised long since that as the first spellweaver it was her duty to make it easier for younger Aerandir to control their powers. Alyosha had been of no help to her... his magic was different and that had led to several 'accidents'. This could be real fun... and she'd perhaps finally get to meet fore of the younger ones!
"That is... if you don't mind me teaching you" she added, serious faced for a moment. It had to be his choice to learn. Not that she doubted for a moment he'd take her up on it... but she didn't want to force him now.

Osu pondered this for a moment. So it wasn't the purple man then? That was ok! This person was nice! He smiled happily at the lioness Aerandir before nodding enthusiastically. "Ok! Yassu said I need ...uhm..." the young Aerandir screwed up his face for a moment, obviously trying to remember the word that he wanted. "Uhm.. Ken.. Kon.. Kontol...?" He paused again, before deciding he'd be better explaining things properly to the older Aerandir.
"He said I needed to be shown stuffs. Yassu made fire, an' I was thinking how pwetty and cool it was, an' that it would be soo cool if it was all big! Then the liddle fire go 'WHOOOSH' an' it was all big and stuff. Yassu says he think it done by me, but I not know how!"
Seeing that Acia was sitting down, the young Aerandir sat down with a soft thwump, dropping his staff beside him. He took a breath, having made the entire explanation in one go, before giving Acia a slightly sheepish grin.
Ieyasu had looked everywhere in the centre. He had even checked the hot springs to make sure that Osu hadn't decided to attempt an impromptu swim. Seeing no sign of the kid, he frowned. How could he lose someone that noisy? Considering for a moment, he realised that there were other places that he hadn't tried - the ones that were private. Had Osu gone to the apartment area? Heading up the corridor, the kitsune frowned, listening out for Osu.
When his sharp ears picked up the familiar sound of Osu chattering away, he grinned wryly to himself. It looked like Osu had found Alyosha then. He'd need to teach the kid not to go barging into places. Sighing softly, he approached the apartment door and knocked, fully intending to apologise to Alyosha for the interruption.

Acia listened to his explanation. trying to imagine what had happaned. Eventually she got a pretty clear picture in her mind and she wincedslightly. It had been the same for her and Alyosha. Poor Ieyasu. She nodded a little as he thumped down onto the floor.
"I'm Acia, Osu.." she said, finally introducing herself. "I think we can help you with getting some control... It might take hard work, though" she frowned in pretend sterness.
Suddenly her frown was not so faigned as she heard the knock at the door. Her ears flattened backwards onto her head and her throat was suddenly dry as she looked up. "C.. come..in" she wavered, scooting behind the table in the centre of the room and clutching at the hungry Tupsu who still hovered about her.

Osu was intrigued. If he learned this control thing, would he be able to make more pretty fires? Even if it was hard, he wanted to learn. "Ok!" At that point, there was a knock on the door, and Acia suddenly looked unhappy as she moved back. Osu was confused. Why was she doing that? "Atchee...something bad..?" he asked, not sure what to make of this.
Hm.. that didn't sound like Alyosha.. it was distinctly female for a start. Although, given that he was a kitsune, it wouldn't exactly be impossible. Slipping the door open, Ieyasu stuck his head around. "Sorry to bother you.." The kitsune paused. Well, there was Osu, anyway. And, what must be another Aerandir. He hadn't seen this one before. Suddenly a thought occurred to him. This must be the Aerandir that Aly had mentioned. Acia, wasn't it? smiled apologetically at her. "Sorry if the little one there barged in on you. He's a little impatient.. "

Acia sat completely still for a moment, Osu fading in her vision. The usual cold feeling descended over her as she regarded Ieyasu. This strange adult was in her space now and there wasn't anywhere she could really go.
She took in a breath and squeaked "It'sokhe'sreallynoproblem" all in one breath, scotting back a fraction more. She took another breath, let it out raggedly and tried the calming exercizes reccomended to her by one of the archaeological team. She'd been working steadily on being better at coping with humans.
Humans... oh... Ieyasu wasn't *really* a human was he? she thought, as she took slow, long breaths. Ieyasu was like Alyosha, a kitsune. Like Alyosha. She thought of the calmness, the knowledge that this being did not want to hurt her. Her breathing bacame regulated enough that she thought she could speak, but the flutter in her stomach remained.
"It's.. ok" she repeated "he.. came here to be taught about his abilities, he said?" she said questioningly, motioning to Osu and hoping that this was in fact the reason for their visit and their had not been something of greater import.

Ieyasu was slightly taken aback by Acia's reaction to him. He didn't look that scary, did he..? She seemed to calm down a bit after a moment though.
"Um, yeah.." he began, remaining where he was at the doorway. The yellow Aerandir looked like she'd hit the roof if he came any closer. "We had a little fire-related ..accident... recently. Alyosha recommended that Osu get some training."
Osu hopped up to his feet, leaving the long green staff on the floor. Confused by Acia's reaction still, he looked between 'Yasu and the adult spellweaver, wondering what was suddenly wrong.

She nodded a little in response, thinking momentarily and glad he wasn't coming any closer. "I see" she said, as he confirmed the accident Osu had mentioned. "He'll have to work on it a lot on his own but I can give him exercizes and show him how to use his powers in a way thats safe until he manages to get some.. co..control" she stammered out the sentence, her mouth feeling dry and a lump hardening in her throat.
"M..Maybe if you wait a little while in the main room he and I can begin to work on this." She said, looking then to Osu. "Would that be ok?" she asked the small Aerandir. He perhaps wanted his guardian close?

Ieyasu nodded. Acia's request wasn't a total surprise afterall. "Thank you. Anything that will stop him from accidently burning down the house would be a huge help." The kitsune grinned.
Osu looked between Acia and Yasu. He then looked at the other Aerandir and grinned cheerfully. "Ok!" He was really going to learn stuff about fire! This would be so cool!
Ieyasu smiled again. He didn't think Osu would be overly fussed about being away from him. As long as he had someone there with him, he was usually happy. "I'll head out to the baths if you're wanting peace to work on this. Just a warning though - he's a bit of a handful sometimes."
Turning, Ieyasu left the room, closing the door with a soft click behind him. It would be nice to get a little peace for a while. He hoped that Acia would be able to cope with the energetic little rascal. She didn't look like she could say boo to a goose. Well, if there was trouble he'd soon hear about it, he guessed. The baths weren't far, afterall.

Acia nodded and let out a deep breath as Ieyasu finally left the room. She was greatful for this space as she wasn't sure she'd have been able to draw out her own abilities nevermind help Osu with his when she was in such a state.
Acia stood, slightly wobbily and surveyed the room and the grinning kid. She realised that Jorai was still at her side, clinging to her shoulder as he was wont to do. "Well then, Osu.... how about we go outside... just to make sure more things don't go 'woosh'" she smiled, using his term for the 'accident'. She motioned towards Alyosha's room, through which they could get to the veranda.
Acia went to the kitchen to quickly grab some matches and noticed the meal she'd been making, completely forgotten. Ack. She delivered the lunch to Alli, asking her to 'babysit' Jorai so he wouldn't end up getting himself hurt and proceeded out onto the porch with Osu, telling him to pick up his staff on the way. Hers was always within arms reach.

"Ok!" Eagerly, Osu ran for his staff, hefting one end of it up. It was still far too big for him to lift fully, so he dragged it over the ground, the trailing end bumping about. Another problem with having such a big staff was that it snagged on things, and he had to maneouver it around them. Finally, he disentangled it, pulled it around and made it out onto the porch bit.
The little spellweaver bounced up and down excitedly. "At-chee, you show me how to make fire??" His bushy tail wagged almost violently. For now, at least, the young Aerandir was thrilled at the idea of learning something new.

Acia nodded and sat down near to Osu, pulling to her one of the large candles that was kept to drve away insects between them. She motioned for Osu to sit down as she thought about how to begin. "First, Osu, I'm going to show you how to work with fire before you make it, ok?" she asked as she set her own staff to one side.
She picked up the matches and struck one of the red-tipped pieces of wood against the rought grain on the side of the packet. This was the only way Acia could make fires. She was rather inept at all of the the 'outdoorsy' methods shown to her. She lit the candle and looked across at the hyperactive little Aerandir, to make sure his attention was on her.

"Ok.." Not understanding the concept of starting out small, Osu was a little disappointed when Acia said that he wouldn't be making fire straight away. He quickly cheered up again when she pulled out the matches, watching her curiously. He had seen the little fire-sticks before - Yasu had used them for a few things.
As she lit the candle, Osu's face lit up in a grin. Sure, it was just a little flame, but it was pretty nonetheless. He watched the candle for a few moments, before glancing at Acia curiously. What was she going to do now?
