He moved forward slightly before forcing her paws to still, no she wouldn't appreciate his nuzzles or reassurances. He wanted so badly to make things work, but he felt strange standing there, confused. This was going to be difficult, but what love worth having wasn't?
"I think thats your choice my love...should I go, or follow..." He cringed as he realized he had used the l word, hopefully she would just allow him to slip with it. He could feel an actual ache in his muscles as they strained to get closer, to curl around his mate and protect her.

Her left lip gave a cautious twitch at his movement closer, but as it seemed to stop him, she allowed herself to visibly relax. The action itself didn't frighten her as much as the second of pulling back, the uncertainty of whether or not he'd come closer. That confused her most, which lead to doubt, straying down into anger in a flash. With any other creature she wouldn't have given her actions a second thought, but he seemed to be different. This damned 'L' word would tear her apart, if it hadn't had her ragged already.
In the process of turning away as he spoke, the wolf felt herself cringe. A growl started to form in her throat, she felt herself mentally preparing for another fight, but held it down. It had been too long a night to end the same way as they all had before, with her always ending up on her back for her foolish mistakes. She(her pride and what was left of her sanity mostly) didn't need that right now. "Follow." Necrala chose, breathing out a soft sigh. The tone was resigned and tired, and turning away she would allow the wolf to do as he may. Follow her or not. Her body still held it's stiff expression, enough to turn the weary word into a command, to show she had indeed made the choice. She would never let herself think otherwise.

His heart lifted and with a smile he moved to follow her eagerly, things could work this time.
