I never wear a corset underneath. It's too uncomfortable. xP Although I do have a lovely white one that I'll occasionally wear with some outfits. :3

spuntino KimChi Panda spuntino KimChi Panda spuntino The Sabine is the exact one I want, actually. (: I also love the Lyric Corset dress and the Veruca corset.
Ahh! J'adore thr Lyric Corset dress. I must have overlooked the Veruca corset, because it's awesome and I hadn't noticed it before. Oh and I like the Ravenna alot...and some of there blouses...and the Jinx pants and...oh just forget it I want everything x__X *looks in empty wallet* Ahh...if only I had more money. Someday *wistful* Time to save up.
Custom-fit clothing is expensive. XD I'm thinking that I may order the Lyric corset dress come the spring and summer convention season. It'd be really great for an edgier take on classic or gothic lolita, I think, with the right colors and coordination.
I think it would definitely look fantastic. And from what I can tell (though don't quote me on this) you can choose the colors of the dress to fit the needs of your coordinate. If you get it, you must let me know how you like it! (though I am sure it will be excellent)
They're all made to order, yes, so that's definitely something I'd do. I really like the idea of it in a burgundy corduroy or a black brocade of some sort.
I wonder if they'd make the Veruca or Sabine into a dress version if requested? That'd be pretty gorgeous...
Also, I found this seller on eBay who stocks factory second corsets now and then: Rockabilly Girl Clothing.
They're $40 plus shipping, factory seconds from Corset Connection.com.
Oh that isn't a bad price at all! What's there quality like, have you heard?

I'm asking around, trying to find out, but haven't gotten anything conclusive, yet. Corset Connection's pieces look great, so even if there are some minor cosmetic flaws on the factory seconds that shop sells, they should be a really nice corset for forty bucks. I'm thinking I may buy one, just to find out. I mean. 40 instead of 150 isn't a bad risk.

I should say so! Let me know when you purchase one....my wallet would be thankful for a more affordable option. xp

Yes yes yes yes yes! Inside and out! I like the way they make me feel, physically and socially.
One of my qualms with this fashion is that I feel like I'm 12. Corsets make me feel like a woman while still wearing a modest frilly dress. I also feel more aristocratic and a little snobby while wearing one. > smile
Physically, it just feels...right? Then again, when I was a little girl, my slightly older cousin refused to wear her training brassieres so I'd take them and wear them all the time, even though I didn't have any womaness to wear them over. I just loved being a little woman! I couldn't wait until the day I got to wear my first underwire! So maybe I'm weird like that. Most women I know hate the constriction, but I just love the structure of it.
Unfortunately they are EXPENSIVE!!!

After having watched Gone with the Wind once more recently, I have a strong urge to dress like Scarlett O'Hara... She does wear corsets and such, but I know her style isn't exactly Lolita >.>

That's true, there are only a few minor differences between the two, so they're not totally incompatible. Skirt length and that whole deal with the hoop skirts, of course, and some of the necklines are a little less modest than Lolita's, but other than that... 3nodding

Like that red/white shirred blouse she was wearing when Ashley was about to leave, and he asked her to look after Mel. I soo want that one >.< Plus the construction of it looked relatively easy

If you try on a corset and it's uncomfortable, it doesn't fit and you shouldn't buy it. Now, the first time you wear a corset it will feel weird, but that's not the same thing. You'll probably feel in more in your back than your stomach if it fits properly.

I'm getting one from *gasp* bodyline in a day or too. Thought for the price, it's def worth a try. I liked it because it's just a corset, no full bust coverage, so I can wear it with simpler outfits and under my work blouses. (my old ones like that are long gone T^T) So we'll see how it turns out. So far, I've been happy with the items I picked from them. Not everything is great, but some stuff is amazing for so cheeeeeeeeeeep!
