I follow Nine Satanic Statements.
Satan represents indulgence instead of abstinence.
Satan represents vital existence instead of spiritual pipe dreams.
Satan represents undefiled wisdom instead of hypocritical self-deceit.
Satan represents kindness to those who deserve it instead of love wasted on ingrates.
Satan represents vengeance instead of turning the other cheek.
Satan represents responsibility to the responsible instead of concern for psychic vampires.
Satan represents man as just another animal, sometimes better, more often worse than those that walk on all-fours, who, because of his "divine spiritual and intellectual development", has become the most vicious animal of all.
Satan represents all of the so-called sins, as they all lead to physical, mental, or emotional gratification.
Satan has been the best friend the Church has ever had, as He has kept it in business all these years.

Funny thing is, Satanism is kind of like a different form of humanism. All of the Satanic statements are about self-indulgence and self-gratification which is what we, ALL (yes, even Christians) participate in just because of our animal instincts and carnal urges.

I actually like the Satanic statements, and I do live by all except the vengeance one - but that is just because I believe Karma does that for me and I need not worry about them.

It hasn't been officially decided if it is a "Religion" or a "Way of Life" really, but it follows on ethical philosophy with rituals and beliefs that center on human needs, interests, and abilities.

I Know, Wiki is a SHITTY source but it's a starting point... from there google "Religious Humanism" and it'll bring up quite a bit =)

^^;; just trying to enlighten you a bit =)

I'm glad you believe in what you do, and honestly, I do not believe that Lucifer is an evil. More like that to every good there is a bad and it's all dependant on where you stand on that field. Me, I sit in the sidelines watching =)

the same reason behind ANY religion. to give people something to believe, to explain what they cannot explain, to give people meaning in their life. There's no other reason over that than say Buddhism, or Satanism, or Wicca, or Hindu or anything. It's all so the people have something to believe in.

All you people say hail Satan, but if you worship him doesn't that also mean that you have to acknowledge a god? I choose to believe in nothing, that all that exists is this world. However, I do believe in a hell because this world is hell.

for those that claim to be LeVeyan Satanism

the religion is basically atheism, but you're God and LeVeyan Satanists do not...Hail Satan...

The reason we say Hail Satan is because it is our calling card.We like
to say that because in Hebrew it means "the accuser''and "the adversary".
We do not believe in God our the Devil. We as Satanists believe that we
your own Gods.
