Putting his bag off to the side after Belwen used the Genista, Khamsyn shifted slightly so she would be even more comfortable resting against him. He wrapped his arms around her, just holding Belwen and smiling sweetly. "Oh, I always try to finish what I start." He replied with a mischevious like quirk of his smile. He let her decide just exactly how she wanted to take the meaning of that statement. He was just really happy to be this close to her, holding her and virtually alone. It seemed to be a rarity and he intended to make the best of it. "Just let me know when you're ready to continue where we left off."

Belwen smiled slightly and took full advantage of the warm resting spot she found, chuckling slightly at his remark. Closing her eyes a moment she let her body relax and let some of the soreness and pain leave her. After a good ten minutes of quiet resting she opened her eyes and glanced around, "alright I think I'm ready to try that again." Laying back just a few moments longer she started pulling herself away.
"Plus don't want to get too comfortable, not sure I want to be found asleep in the arena," a slight grin touched her lips as she pulled herself up to standing and stretched out. "So lets try this whole jumping thing again.

Belwen spent far too little time in Khamsyn's arms. Or at least that is the way he saw it. He was going to protest when she stood up, but he understood she wanted to get back to training. How does that old saying go? If you fall off the horse, you need to get right back on. Or something like that. With a bit of a sigh, he pushed himself to his feet and smiled like he wasn't a tad disappointed. "Okay, let's try this again then. Same drill as before." He took up position in front of her and waited. "Nod when you're ready. Maybe try jumping a bit earlier this time. Just a bit. You'd be surprised at how a split second earlier or later can make a huge difference."

Taking on the same sort of stance as before she steeled herself and then nodded to Khamsyn, "alright lets do this." Waiting for Khamsyn to kick at her she stood on the balls of her feet, once she saw the kick coming she jumped as quickly as she could hoping it would give her enough time to miss the kick this time, she didn't relish the idea of falling on her head again.
Unfortunately she was just a little off and the kick got her again, luckily her balance held better this time and she took a hit to the leg instead of just falling over. Chuckling slightly she looked over at Khamsyn and wrinkled her nose, "who would think I'd have so much trouble with just jumping."

Khamsyn cringed as his kick connected... again. This time Belwen didn't fall however, so at least that was good. With a look of that contained a splash of pity he sighed apologetically. "It's the timing that is the part that takes getting used to. Maybe we're approaching this the wrong way. Maybe we need to do what I my first impulse was to do. Give you no warning and let your instinct guide your action instead." Khamsyn launched another kick, this time with no real warning, at Belwen's legs and hoped that her instinct to survive would trigger. "Forgive me." He pleaded in mid-kick.
((Hehe, now try. I'll laugh if it works this time.))

Belwen's eyes opened in surprise and seeing the kick come toward her she attempted to jump into the air to keep it from connecting. She heard Khamsyn's plea but didn't really have time to answer at the moment.
She landed and grinned slightly, she had actually made it that time. With a triumphant little sound she moved foward and gave Khamsyn a tight hug; the idea that some trust of some sort had been broken didn't even cross her mind. "I did it!" She let out an excited laugh stepping back.

Khamsyn chuckled as Belwen celebrated by hugging him tightly. He also breathed a sigh of relief. It seemed he was right about instinct taking over. Now she had a bit more of her initial confidence back. "Congradulations! You did it. Now, the question is, do you wanna do any of that again, or do you think you have it now?"

Sighing slightly she pulled back and glanced up smiling before pausing and considering her answer. "Hmm well I think I likely do need a bit more practice." Glancing down she seemed to consider before speaking, "lets do like we did with the tumble, two low strikes without warning in a row and I'll attempt to jump them...then we can move on after that depending on how well I end up doing."
Smiling a bit she stepped back and looked over to Khamsyn, "that sound good to you?"

Khamsyn nodded. "Your wish is my command mi'lady." He replied with a sweeping bow for affect, then when he straightened, he dropped low quickly and went for a Trip attack instead of the normal kick. She asked for without warning, and that's just what she was getting. Of course, Trip attack wasn't his best move and he'd yet to try it outside of when he first learned it, so it was risky for both of them.
((I'm gonna roll for this, just cuz. Success!... barely.))

She had expected him to attack as he had before which he did, she noted that it wasn't what he did before but didn't stop to dwell on what exactly he was doing before jumping in the air hoping to deflect it from actually hitting her.
A slight grin came to her face as she missed being hit by his trip, she didn't allow herself to relax though expecting his second attack to come at any time.

With a mixture of disappointment, in not tripping Belwen, and happiness, in that she succeeded in avoiding his attack, Khamsyn grunted to himself. "Very good." he thought to himself as he slipped underneath her when she jumped. He paused only for a second as she landed then thrust a kick backwards, low at her legs again. Let's see if she can do it three times in a row.

Seeing the kick thrust backward at herself she once again jumped into the air hoping it wouldn't catch her before she could get out of the way. She was hoping that with all this kicking and jumping she wouldn't accidentally land on Khamsyn and hurt him.
She just barely missed the kick when it came at her, the angle and position of the kick had caught her off guard. She somehow didn't end up hit but wobbled some as she landed back on the ground glancing over to Khamsyn with a slight smile. "I think I have it down as well as I'm going to get it for now."

Khamsyn popped up to his feet after Belwen successfully jumped over his kick. He was already beaming with pride as it was his turn to hug her this time. "Excellent!" He praised. He was happy that she was learning from their little training session, though part of him still worried each and every time they tried something new to her. He had no idea how he'd feel if they ever dueled one another. Maybe adrenaline and battle brain would take over, or maybe he'd throw the match. He couldn't tell right now. Though he hated to think how she'd react if he did throw the match and she found out. That was a whole other kind of fight. One best avoided. "I'd say you do indeed have that down now. What's next?"

She grinned again pleased with the outcome she hadn't been doing too badly so far. At Khamsyn's question she considered a moment, "the first move you tried when you went to trip me, how did you do it? Do you think we could work on me learning it?"
A smile lit her features, this learning match was going well. Her muscles were starting to ache a bit but she felt she had just a bit more in her before it would be time for a serious break. Watching Khamsyn a moment she had a quick thought, "not sure I have too much more in me, perhaps we could go over that move and then get cleaned up and have a real rest." Shifting her gaze to watch him eye to eye she continued speaking her voice just a touch playful, "you'd of course be welcome to come join me for that." She let him wonder if the cleaning up was included in that offer or not.
She did want an actual all out duel but after all they had gone through so far she didn't think it would be happening this day.

"That move was a slightly more advanced maneuver called Trip. It can work as a kind of tackle or even a leg sweep but the desired affect is to take your opponent to the ground and stun them in the process." He explained, sounding just a little like he was quoting a text book. And maybe he was. "If you wanna learn it, we can go over it next then, sure." He collected the Phys Ed book she'd taken from the library but the first one was just basic moves by the looks of it, so he grabbed the other. Flipping though pages, he found Trip and showed Belwen the page. "We're in luck, here is the move description." He cleared his voice and started to read it. "Trip can work as a kind of tackle or even a leg sweep... heh." He stopped, confirming that he had pretty much quoted the book already.
When Belwaen mentioned needing a rest after they worked on Trip, Khamsyn nodded cluelessly. It took a few seconds for her words to sink in fully and when they did, he couldn't help but grin from ear to ear. His mind raced as to just what she inferred, but in the end, he didn't much care. Whatever she had in mind, he was more than willing. "Cleaning up and catching some rest sounds... perfect, and I whole heartedly accept your offer. And I offer my services as a masseuse as well. We wouldn't want any of your muscles cramping up now would we?" He let that thought sink into her head with a mischevious and somewhat naughty grin.
