The young girl disrobed, and stepped into the new clothing. It fit her perfectly, and it felt like it weighed nothing at all. It made her feel kind of giddy, swishing around in it like a child. When she heard the door open, she was expecting to see Jin, and was going to thank him for allowing her to wear such a beautiful outfit. However, this person was not Jin. She watched as Chou was smacked away, and was about to go over to her to help when the Lord came over to her. If looks could kill, Tatsuko would be dead right now. As it was, she could only look up at him in shock. She could guess that this man was Jin's father. She gulped a little, rather startled by him, before she started to speak. "Jin isn't worthless. He's a wonderful person, who cares a lot for people, even if he has only just met them. If your son gave his life to save him, then he must have seen it too. Why can't you see it?" She didn't even confirm that she was the Priestess of Seiryuu. She highly doubted it was a real question anyways, and more of a rhetorical one.

The Lord pulled a dagger from his belt and unsheathed it, his face murderous. "You don't know anything, how could you!"
Jin heard the commotion down the hall and ran for the room, moving between his father and Tatsuko. The man still slashed down, but instead of harming the priestess, the knife dug deeply into Suboshi's forearm. He kicked out, sending his father flying, an indignant look on his face. "How dare you raise a hand to a guest in the house! You are no longer fit to rule here! We all know it, you're a loose cannon. Retire!"
"Never, then you will gain my title, and I can't have a piece of trash ruling my land! You're good for nothing!"
"The palace guard will be on their way... you can either abdicate and leave, or you can go to the dungeon. You assaulted the Priestess of Seiryuu." Blood was leaking down Jin's arm and making a small puddle on the floor, but nothing about the injury took away from his fierceness. The Lord got up and left, only then did Jin seemed to sway just a bit, grabbing the dagger that was still lodged in his muscle to try and pull it out.

She was expecting this to be purely verbal. She should have expected a knife, given he had threatened to kill her, but she really hadn't. A look of fear crossed her features as she watched it pulled, and started to try to back up. Tatsuko didn't have much room, as she had been right near the bed when she had been confronted. She shut her eyes, wincing a bit at the pain she knew was going to come. But, it didn't. Instead, she heard Jin. Her eyes popped open, and she stayed behind him, popping her head out to see what had just happened. The Lord just seemed to leave, but the knife was suspiciously missing... until she found it lodged in Suboshi's arm. She gasped, worried for him. He had gotten hurt protecting her. Putting her hand on his other arm, Tatsuko slipped past him, heading for her bag.
Luckily, it had come with her when she went into the book, so she still had some things. Quickly, she dug through it, pulling out a small medical kit. Given her fainting spells, she had a tendency to fall and hit her head on things. It was not uncommon to find new cuts and bruises when she woke up, so it was just easier to bandage herself up afterwards. Moving back over to him, she sat down on the bed with the kit, giving his uninjured arm a slight pull. "Here. Let me help. You got hurt protecting me, so it's only fair I help patch you up."

Jin let her pull him down, and it seemed the Chou was alright, but she didn't leave the room, instead to immediately when to fill the basin on the side table with water from the spring out in Suboshi's garden, then returned to help Tatsuko.
The warrior managed to get the dagger out of his arm, which only renewed the blood flow, but he sat still. He needed to get Tatsuko and Chou out of here, and he was sure that the handmaid would want to come with them. Before she'd become a chamber maid, she'd been a wet nurse, and had taken care of Jin more then even his mother had. "Chou, let Tatsuko do this. Go to my rooms and fetch me some clothes, and put them in the trunk with Tatsuko's things. We can get her top mended later. We can't stay here, and you should stay..."
Chou shook her head. "I am Lady Tatsuko's handmaid, I will not leave her, nor will I leave you without some help either. Where are we going to go?"
"The palace, the Emperor will take us in, I'm sure, once he knows who we are. I will tell him of what my father has done."
"What of your mother?"
"Father has never hurt her, she'll be fine. If the Emperor decides to arrest Father, then she'll become the Lady Dowager, and she'll stay with us. If the Emperor won't have us, I know many other nobles, in Kutou and in Konan. We'll be fine."

With the bowl of water taken care of, Tatsuko grabbed a clean rag, and carefully soaked it before wiping up the blood on Suboshi's arm. She didn't know where exactly the Palace was, but she knew that meant she was going to be dealing with royalty. She didn't say it, but it was rather amusing that Chou had put herself as her handmaid, even though they had only just met. Being loyal to Suboshi, she could understand, but to her... it was strange. Was everyone going to be like this. Everything was still so overwhelming to her.
She did her best to push it aside, focusing instead on cleaning up Jin's wound. The cut looked very clean, meaning that the knife had been rather sharp. It should heal rather easily, though it was deep. It would need stitches. She pulled out a small bottle of hydrogen peroxide, putting a rag below the wound. "This is going to feel a little odd. It'll help clean out the wound." She started to pour it, watching the bubbles fizz on the wound before she wiped it down with a little water again. Her hands went back to her medical kit, pulling out a needle and thread, as well as a pair of gloves and a anesthetic cream. "It's going to need stitches. With this, it shouldn't hurt." She carefully rubbed the cream into the area around the wound, giving it a moment to soak in before she started to stitch him up.

Jin managed to not even flinch, a testament to his self control, but he also didn't watch her sew his arm up, instead focusing on her face. "You're very good at this," he said softly, his face tightening just a bit at the strange sensation of the pulling thread.
Chou had left to get some clothes, but was now back. putting more then enough into the trunk. One of the stable boys came in to take the trunk to Jin's horse, and the Chou went to retrieve some of her own things in a satchel.

Tatsuko kept her mind focused on his arm, though she did glance up at him, giving him a small smile. "I've had a lot of practice, unfortunately. Usually on myself. I faint a lot." She hated to admit it, but it was true. She didn't take very good care of herself, which she knew she should. She just had so many other things that she needed to do, that eating and sleeping were little more than nuisences. People wondered why she was anemic, but that was the reason. After a few moments, she had finished stitching everything up, carefully tying the last stitch into place. She quickly switched gloves, and wiped the wound down again before putting an antibiotic cream on it and wrapping it up. It was a little tight, to keep pressure on the wound to stop the bleeding. Once she was done, Tatsuko removed the gloves, giving Jin a small smile. "There. All fixed. It'll be a little sore for a while, but it should heal nicely."

Jin smiled down at her gently, nodding a bit. "Thank you, it feels better already." He stood, putting his hand out for her to take it, and he helped her to her feet. "Let's go, we needn't linger too long, I don't want you to be threatened again. I didn't know that he would do that, or I wouldn't have brought you here in the first place."
He lead her out of the room, and down the hall, and his mother was waiting at the door. "Be careful," she said, handing him a small satchel, and kissing his cheek. Jin looked to Tatsuko, "this is my Mother. Mother, this is the Priestess of Seiryuu."
"I'm sorry my husband scared you, please, help our nation. Things like this are just too common. And keep each other safe." She disappeared back into the house, so that her husband wouldn't see what she was doing.

The Priestess was glad that his wound was already feeling better. She was still a bit upset that his father even attacked her in the first place. She would have to ask Jin about it later, if it wasn't too painful for him. She was curious what had happened, and why he saw Jin as useless, when he wasn't. Before he lead her out, she slipped the medical kit back into her backpack, as well as her torn clothes, and pulled it on. Tatsuko didn't want to leave it behind. Following him out, she nodded. She did believe him. He honestly thought she would be safe there.
As Jin's mother came up, Tatsuko gave her a polite bow. "It's alright. I'll do the best I can, I promise." She was going to do everything within her power to help, as so many people here had been so kind to her, and perhaps it would help those that weren't so they would be.

When they made it outside, Chou and the stable boy where in a wagon with the trunks and bags, which Jin helped Tatsuko place her satchel in there as well, then he got up onto his horse, and helped her get up there. "We should be there rather quickly, I sent someone there to fetch the guard, so I won't be surprised if they are already waiting for us. Once we're in the palace, you should be perfectly safe. The Emperor is a good man, and he'll want you to stay safe as well." He kept his injured arm around her waist to keep her on the horse, and using his good arm to steer the horse.

Yuan saw two people leave the house. One was a girl the other looked like her friend Jin, but she could not be sure as his back faced her. She was rusty on sensing ki but from what she could tell it was him.
"Hay Jin!" she called out

Stepping out of the house, Tatsuko grinned at Chou. The older woman really was very kind, and Tatsuko quite liked her. She hoped things were going to be getting better now. She was a bit nervous about the whole Emperor thing. How was she supposed to act around the man? She didn't know. Sitting on the horse in front of him, she nodded. "Alright. That sounds good. I hope your mother stays safe, though. She seems really nice." However, her attention was pulled to a young woman approaching. She tilted her head back to look at Jin. "A friend of yours?" The Priestess only really knew Jin and Chou, so she hoped that it wasn't another attacker. Needless to say, she was a bit nervous.

Aigou came into his room, grinning, his white robes spotless, but he pulled his head dress off and tossed it to the bed, barely missing the little plushie sitting there.
"Hey Aigou!" The little but guy squeaked, and the Prince spun, scooping up plushie.
"Oh Wind! I'm so sorry! I didn't see you on the bed." He snuggled him, and Wind climbed up on his head.
"So, what are you so excited about, it seemed the wind is starting to whip up."
"The priestess is coming here! And one of the Warriors, who's a noble here! I've heard he's dreamy, I can't wait to meet them!" He ran over to his closet and pulled his robes off, trying to find something new to wear. "Should I wear blue Wind? Or purple?"
"You're hair looks amazing next to purple, but blue..." The little plushie climbed down, using Aigou's outstretched arm to make it into the armoir. The folded robes were all so beautiful, but he started wiggling into the cloth, and came out with a beautiful, purple robe that faded to blue at the bottom. "How about that!"
"Oh that's perfect, great job!" The prince grabbed it and started to get redressed, pulling his long hair into a high ponytail. "Do you think they will like me?" He seemed really eager to make new friends, which wasn't like him."
Wind climbed back up his leg when he was all dressed, climbing inside the top of his robe to hide. "Prince, if they don't, then it's their loss."
Aigou giggled softly, the light breeze getting a bit stiffer as he got even more excited.

Jin pulled his horse to a stop. He turned a bit, making sure to still have a firm grip on Tatsuko, even if it was a bit uncomfortable for him. "Yuan, I haven't seen you in a long time..." He didn't want to be rude, but he was worried about having Tatsuko on the street. He frowned a bit when he felt his mark come up on his skin, like it had when he first met the Priestess.
"This is Tatsuko, I need to get her to the palace, but if you want to catch up, you can come along. Jiang," he called to the stable boy. "Let Yuan into the wagon so she can come with us..."

Once Jin addressed the girl, Tatsuko relaxed a little bit. She had been worried that it was an attacker. Knowing her luck, it might still be one, but she didn't let that thought enter her mind. The last thing she needed was that little tidbit of information. She sighed, leaning against Jin a little bit without really realizing it. He made her feel safe, and she liked that particular sensation. With everything weird going on around here, he had been completely open with her. He worried about her, and cared about her. For others, that might not be much, but it meant a lot to her. She gave the girl, Yuan, a smile, before turning back to look at the road ahead. The fact that she was going to go to the palace was still strange to her. She hoped she would do alright. "Ummm... Jin. How do you act around an Emperor? I've never met one before, so I really don't know."
