Oh, it is. Neat.
The Long Shot is a GX1.

I was trying to remember the Long Shot, because it was familiar to me, so I looked it up, and called it by the ships model. I always thought it was a neat ship.

I had ran across the article on Wookie some time back while looking at some of the classic tabletop books.
Why does it matter?

It doesn't matter. I was just curious.
First you say "Oh it is. Neat." as though you're expecting us to know what you're referring to. Then I demand clarification. Then you say you ran across this ship before and I asked where to sate some curiosity of mine.

You were talking about the Long Shot, then I said, "The GX1" for my own clarification, which is the name of the Long Shot's ship model , then I answered my own question and said it was neat. Then I stated the Long Shot was a GX1.
I don't see how that's hard to follow. Anyway, theres your clarification.
As for how I knew, I spend hours on the wookie sometimes, just going from one reference to the next. Its how I do research into stuff I haven't gotten the chance to read.

Des, I don't need to know how many hours you spend searching Wookiee. Just say you read it on Wookiee and that's good enough. Now are you gonna make your character or sit this one out?
