--ACTEON-- Yeah, I DO have a problem with you. It was quite the sudden change of pace, hearing the steady rhythm of echoing hoof beats give way to the sound of sliding metal as the hinges swung freely from beneath the swordmaster's feet. It was quite the surprise, to lead his mount into the turn of the maze roughly ten yards away from the warrior's sudden fall, only to hear her proud voice scream for help and mercy.
Quite frankly, it gave him the shudders.
Bellerophon reared, his wings flapping and carrying him a few feet into the air before Acteon had gathered the reigns, leading his mount down towards the Swordmaster and smiling sweetly down at the woman as he got his steed to land, his hooves just out of reach if she tried to grab them to pull herself up. Dragging himself down from the saddle and keeping the lance close at hand, the Pegasus Knight smoothed back several of his violet locks and looked down his nose at the woman screaming below.
"Heeelp! Oh, heeelp!" Acteon's voice taunted, crudely imitating her very real cries for assistance as he wiggled jazz hands on either side of his face to make his pantomime more dramatic. "Oh, please, won't you help me, sir Pegasus Knight? Won't you help me, sir? I am but a poor maniac, chopping my way through the maze!"
Stepping forward and looking as if he was going to offer his hand to her for a moment, he seemed to suddenly reconsider, pretending to think for a moment as his green eyes stared down at the swordswoman with undisguised glee.
"Here, let me help you. You're so far from where you need to be..."
He pulled up her right hand so her palm would be able to rest on the floor, but he didn't give her time to savor that sense of escape.
Even if she was to grab his ankle, at this point, it wouldn't matter- he had the advantage, and agony would render one of her hands useless to hold onto much of anything, let alone pull herself up. Keeping his foot there for a moment, he soon rolled it backwards and forwards, pretending to ponder something again. The rasp of his half-shaven stubble rang audibly as he ran his gloved hands over the rough edges, and he soon let a smile that was none too nice split his features in two.
"Why, what a predicament we find ourselves in! See, a nice person would pull you out of this mess... no problem." Knowing she wouldn't be able to move, he slammed the spearhead of his Javelin into her unwounded hand, striking the back of it between the metacarpal bones dividing her hand in two and listening to the scream he knew would come. Had he not 'tried' to pull her up earlier, why, the palm would be impossible to skewer! And that would be such a shame. Such a crying, crying shame.
"We can't well have you falling, now, can we?" Grabbing a dagger from his saddle bag, Acteon watched as the pegasus just stared disinterestedly in another direction, more than used to this routine. Twirling the dagger a few times and watching how the light dealt with the steel, he smiled, stooping down in front of her to look at the woman who dangled above certain death.
"I know many people like you, you see. You... you remind me of home." His grin was perfectly content as he rested one side of the dagger against her pinky, lightly tracing the flesh so that she could barely feel the metal against it. "I know many people who look at me with those... condescending eyes. I know many who turn the other way, and don't once look back at me!"
His eyes flashed.
"Do you know what happened to them, my dear?" Slowly, agonizingly slowly, he applied more pressure as he ran the blade over her pinky, watching the blood well up and bead beneath the tip of the cold, merciless metal. He let her sit there in silence for a moment, then looked over, all pretense of innocence gone.
"They ended up quite like you."
With one strong pull, the knife meant to cut boars' tusks for hunters sliced through her finger in one clean motion... relatively speaking, of course, as her veins loosed blood and the bones seemed to weep marrow onto the uncaring labyrinth floor. The air reeked of blood, now, but he didn't care- he saw too many people in Jen.
"I killed them. The worst of them, I mean. The ones that thought I was nothing but garbage." Slamming the knife down quickly like a butcher's knife around her ring finger, he made swift work of it, feeling his shoulder shake from the impact as the steel powered through the bone and more blood spilled onto the ancient stone. Though she might have thought he was satisfied, he just smiled to himself, making a thin cut at the base of her middle finger- something that would feel like nothing compared to the agony at suddenly losing two digits.
"I did it. To every..." He trailed off slightly, making two slices down either side of her finger.
"Last..." He deepened the first incision, then shoved the tip of the blade under her skin, severing it from the muscle.
"...One." With a sudden rip, he tore the skin from her middle finger, leaving shreds of fat and connective tissue hanging as he felt the blood-stained tissue flap uselessly in his hands like some dirty, flesh colored rag before throwing it down, making sure it fell into her hair as he kicked her two dismembered fingers into the abyss below. He could hear the eels flailing and splashing in the water, each sliding over one another's slick bodies in an attempt to reach the delectable flesh they had been deprived of for so long.
At the sound, he sat back for a moment, just laughing to himself- a stifled sort of chuckle, as he didn't want to be caught laughing like an idiot! No, he needed to stay dignified. He represented Ilia, after all!
"We Pegasus Knights of Ilia pride ourselves in being good with animals. Did you know that?" Leaning forward one last time to trail the already stained blade up the back of her hand, he smiled at the splitting skin as he traced the path of a vein that ran towards her last finger, ringing around the finger again but stopping just before he hit the bone- the cut was shallow, though it still bit into the muscle. Dropping it down slightly so it ground against her bone, he twisted it between his hands almost like a novice fire-starter first grinds two sticks to make a spark, making sure that the grinding was so slow, so deliberate...
"We're in touch with nature. The beasts of the air, the land, the sea. Perhaps you should be just as conscientious to those beloved beasties below you!" Standing up, he literally kicked her finger as hard as he could, hearing the bone shatter and the flesh part with a sickening shredding noise as it bounced off of the cavernous walls and into the pit below. All that was left now was her thumb, her skinned middle finger... and the Javelin that held her hand to the stone.
Holding out the dagger so that her own blood dripped onto her face, Acteon stood up, his other hand grasping the Javelin embedded into the stone.
"How does your own blood taste, you crazy b***h?"
One more snap, one more thud...
And the Javelin broke free, leaving her to fall into the spiked pit that spelled her end.

Jen knew once the Javelin was in her hand that she was going to die.
"I guess this is what I get for killing people for the taste of blood. Oh well I knew I was going to die. I just never knew when or where." She thought though all the pain. She never made a sound or even look like she was in pain at all. She didn't want him to get any more enjoyment out of what he was doing to her.
"Oh well, my only wish is that you die next and that you die in a way more painful than mine." She seemed accepting of her fate. She licked her blood that dripped on her face and smirked. She knew what her blood tasted like. It wasn't new to her.
"Karma is a b***h!" Was all she said right before she fell. As she fell that smirk was still on her face. Even as a spike went through her back, heart, and chest there was still some traces of that smirk. Then the eels got to her body. Oh they were going to have a feast with Jen's body. ZAP! ZAP! ZAP! Her body was roasting and being devoured by the eels. After a few shocks once could start to see her body start to become alot less like her body. Over time the number shocks would be enough to make her body become a pile of ashes and maybe some bones.

٭I have no use for sentiment. That is a fool's emotion.٭ +Nadia+ The valkyrie was caught completely off guard as she was slammed into by the lion that was in a big hurry. Nadia wasn't surprised or angry, but that did hurt. That second of reaction she had disappeared fast, she'd need to focus to keep her balance. She wanted to freeze him so very badly, he was lucky that her magic wasn't working at the moment! Her mount, taking that as a challenge went charging in his direction, and at the same time the ice-hearted Nadia was thinking that this foolish attempt to limit her weapon usage would end soon, because all had limits. It was doubtful at their speed that the mount would catch its 'challenger'.
All but my desire has limits.
Her desires were to win and be the best, but deep down, there was a sort of fear that had been long repressed by the emotion-freezing fimbulvetr. The fear of dying, of losing all that meant anything, for pride didn't keep anyone alive.
But that was repressed, long repressed.
As long as it stayed under the frozen surfaces of her heart, Nadia would gleefully let her mount continue charging throughout the labyrinth. No traps so far except the magic seal. So far, so good.٭All that matters is if one is perfect in everything they do.٭

♥ ~ BLISS ~ ♥ Bliss blinked, looking around for a few moments. Nothing to her right or left. In front of her seemed clear as well. She grinned brightly, twirling the Mend staff in her hand and whistling quietly to herself. The druid made an effort to go her own path, not wanting to cling to anyone else for survival and victory. After all, she didn't need anyone else but her love. She only needed him...
Focus, girl! You have to win this! She giggled softly to herself, taking a moment to stretch up to the ceiling. No more hesitation. She had to keep moving. Her goal was in sight and she was going to win!
And well, Bliss kept moving. It wasn't because of her own two legs, though. Instead, it was because someone decided to slam right into her from behind! She was knocked forward, nearly flat on her face. Her staff jammed painfully against her abdomen and ribs and she was sure she was bleeding from at least one of the scrapes she now had. "Ngh..." Bliss shook her head slowly, pushing back strands of pink hair that blocked her vision. First she was rejected, then she was slammed into so rudely, and now her nice, white robes were torn and dirty! Were things ever going to get better?!
Of course they will! She thought optimistically, a grin coming to her face as she stood back up, though a bit slowly and with a bit of hesitation. Carefully, she brushed herself off and turned to the person who rolled into her, leaning against her Mend staff for support. Though on her feet, her body still screamed in pain. "Uhm... who are you~?"
Even while bleeding, she couldn't help but giggle at Yula.

This maze was, of course, a maze. They only had to get to the end of it, correct? The objective wasn't to kill others; neither was the objective to be there faster than them. The objective was to survive. So, of course there would be traps everywhere. Corvus pondered this for a moment, standing at the entrance. He could try and find them and disable them, or he could simply get rid of them. He thought he would prefer the second option, really. So, the easiest way not to get lost in a maze was to follow one wall. The man simply placed his hand on the left wall and strode off, following the wall.
As long as he did this, he couldn't get lost. Because he couldn't double back on himself; the wall would continue all the way around the maze, and about halfway along, he would find the center. No problem. Wasn't that right? He chose - wisely, he thought - to avoid the downsloping tunnel to one side, which bore fresh scratch marks. The center of the maze likely wouldn't be far down, that would be the bottom, or the end. And besides, having looked at the shape of the formation this cave was contained in, it would be farther off to the side, and have to loop around to get back. No, this was much simpler.
And then here was a room, a large room, with a door set in the wall ahead of him. Blocks were scattered across the room, tall enough to reach his shoulder, and various colored tiles were on the floor. Clearly, these blocks were supposed to be set on the tiles. Simple, but effective; most of the contestants here were not exactly what one would call physically capable, save himself and perhaps that lion. The first few blocks went into their spots fairly easily. It was when he began to push the black block that something went wrong. As he put his shoulder to it and began to shove, his eyes swept the room for the spot on which it was to be placed. There was none. Then, a click came from under his feet, and he looked down in time to see the black tile the block had been standing on before the spike pierced his body.
He was too tall, though. The trap seemed to have been set for someone of normal size, and instead of piercing his heart, as it should have, it pierced his shouder; as he had crouched further down to get the proper leverage. A growl that became a roar burst from his mouth, not registering pain, but anger. One big hand pulled the spike from his shoulder, the other, less capable now, already worling at tearing his shirt into long strips. He fashioned a tourniquet in a few minutes, tying it tight; not very good, but it would do. Then, he strode up to the double doors, spike in hand; and forced it between them, slamming in down into the bar holding them. The spike bent, then broke; and he tossed it away, instead hitting the door with his shoulder. It held for a few tries, then snapped open, leaving Corvus with a now-bruised shoulder, panting heavily, but the way opened.
It was too bad this was a cave, right? Ein coulda got up on those walls if it wasn't, and he woulda just run across the top until he got where he was going. But if anybody with wings was here they'd be cheating right? Wouldn't be fair. So he guessed he couldn't do that right now. He had an arrow strung in his bow. He wasn't going to let that out of his hands, nuh-uh. He'd seen that scary beast-guy, and he'd hidden. Far away. So if that guy came after him he'd have to take him out. And like fast, cause it'd be bad if he got close. Baaaaad. Ein might even get hurt and then he'd cry. And then people would make fun of him, they always laughed when he was crying. It wasn't fair, why did he have to be cute?
Ein pouted at this, unconsciously looking adorable as he did so, but finally started going ahead. And oh, look! Here was a crack in the wall! Everybody else had walked by it, but he could go in it! Neato! Maybe it'd be like a shourtcut or something. So he got on his hands and knees and started crawling, entering the dark crevice with no worries at all. Wheeeee~
Foolish. They all just ran in without a care in the world. How could any of them be so stupid? Celera was different. Celera was intelligent. She had to be, of course. She was the most talented mage that lived. And she rather suspected that the figure she saw in her dreams might be some sort of God or Goddess. Others might say it was wishful thinking, but she knew. She KNEW. It had to be, or how else would she have had these wonderful powers? She was special. Nobody else was like her in the entire world.
So, she had to stay safe. She had to make sure she didn't fall into anything. A tendril of dark magic crept along the floor in front of her, searching and questing. Here was a Silence trap, already set off. The girl chuckled softly; that was one of her rivals that would be helpless for a while. Here was a pressure sensor, that had released some sort of trap from the ceiling; the blood on the floor and wall testified that it had been living. She wouldn't be taken in that easily. Oh, no. It would take much more than silly little sensors and switches to stop her.
And now, a choice. Go down, or keep walking? Unlike Corvus, Celera's line of thought reasoned that since she had not come into a maze that appeared very big, the caves must extend farther below her to be able to have anything worthy of being called a labyrinth. Down was more likely than up. But, there were people this way. So she was careful. She stepped into the tunnel, picking her way between the loose stones that Yura had earlier knocked down. If they tried to stop her, she'd kill them. Just. Like. That.

♫My name is victory!♫ In the process of the few minutes since she had entered the cave, Yula had caused not one, but two mini cave-ins, killed some snakes as well as a rat, and gotten knocked over so that she rolled down a tunnel! Today was proving to be very productive; in terms of being reckless that is. Such recklessness often proved to be fatal, but such wasn’t the case for the one and only, Yula. Rather than bring her trouble, it usually got her out of it. Blessed by the gods? Who knows, but one thing was for sure; such luck didn’t help any with Yula’s enormous ego. It was a good thing egos weren’t physically objects, for if Yula’s was it might very well destroy the entire continent as it is known.
As she rolled down the tunnel, Yula was completely unaware of the trap she had just sprung. On the wall, had lain a single motion detector which activated the second trap Yula had encountered. On the walls, small square shape holes opened up reveling wetted arrows lining each one. Every hole contained four lethal arrows that if struck, would kill the target in mere seconds due to the poison they had been coated with. Luckily for one white haired girl, she had no idea she had triggered such a thing, and continued to roll down the tunnel undaunted; not that she could really stop herself though.
The only thing that pervaded her mind as she rolled down the tunnel was the constant clank her armor made as it struck stone. She would have scolded the armor for doing such a dreadful thing, but Yula didn’t want to risk getting dirt in her mouth. As she passed by the traps activating more motion sensors, arrows were fired, slicing through the air and creating a light humming sound, before they… thudded harmlessly into the opposing wall. Not only was she rolling too fast for the arrows to strike her, but the traps had been positioned a tad too high to hit her while she was rolling. Having failed in her purpose, the traps closed back up shortly after she passed another motion sensor in the wall, hiding the trap until another, unluckier contestant passed by and activated it.
Then out of the blue, Yula felt herself crash into something, thus putting an end to her juggernaut mode. A small yelp escaped her throat as she felt the object give before her body finally ran out of momentum. Well, that certainly hadn’t been a wall; all the walls Yula knew of only broke when she took her hammer to them. By deductive reasoning, Yula concluded she hadn’t run into a wall! But if she hadn’t run into a wall, what had she rolled into?
Her tightly clenched eyes shot open and she was met with the blurry images of something that looked to be a person, and the ceiling above her. Not finding laying on her back very appealing, the white haired girl rolled over before hopping up and dusting her armor off. With her left hand, she rubbed her eyes gently while reached down and grabbing the painted handle of her hammer, which had been wretched from her hand during the impact, with her right.
”WHAT!” Yula screeched as she eyed Bliss like she was the strangest person she had ever laid eyes on. “What are you thinking asking me such a question before first telling me who you are?!” Yula huffed and puffed out her cheeks as she stared slightly up at the taller girl. ”But, since I’m such a nice person…” Yula beamed brightly, a wide grin on her face. ”I shall inform ignorant you as to who I am just this once.”
Her left hand traveled up to her face, and in a single fluid motion flicked her bangs to the side in a show of pride. ”I, miss, am the most wonderful, amazing person you shall ever meet. You are truly blessed to have been graced with my presence. Being as great as I am, one such as me could only have the most fabulous of names.” She paused a moment, letting her words sink into the inferior being in front of her before continuing. ”I am the one known as Yula!” Another pause as Yula glanced down at her hammer a moment before looking back at the girl with pink hair in front of her. Her grin transformed into a frown and her eyebrows furrowed. ”But, what I really should be saying,” she jabbed her finger forward, pointing directly at Bliss. ”Who do you think you are getting in my way like that?!”

Kane wandered down the next hall and saw a trap he wandered into. The Hall sealed off and massive spiked hammers swung back and forth along with random fire spouts. Kane thought to himself, "s**t. The money for this thing better the weight of a cow!" as he jumped through the first hammer and stopped immediately infront of the next fire spout and nearly singed all his hair off. "Whew...that was close" as he ran through the fire and the next couple of hammers. He dropped his bag on the floor not needing anymore clothes and just proceeded forward. "This is going to get interesting real soon." he thought excitedly as he turned the corner and ventured forward.

The fault was clearly on her! Her arms crossed in front of her chest and she pouted slightly. "You would have kept on rolling until you hit something else if I wasn't here! And I have a name." Her eyes narrowed slightly in irritation.
... Moments later, though, all traces of said irritation melted away, replaced by a bright grin. Happiness flooded into the girl, forgetting completely that Yula was irritated with her. Before the Bishop and the Valkyrie could have an introduction, they both heard a sudden noise. It sounded as if there was a carriage rolling down the hill. In addition, the floor was shaking. Tiny pebbles were jumping as the floor was shaking harder and the noise was getting louder.
As the Bishop and the Valkyrie looked around to see the noise, they saw a boulder heading down their path. The boulder was covered with steel spikes as it barely fitted the hall as it continued rolling.
Not wanting to become flat waffles, the Valkyrie and the Bishop ran off. They ran for their lives as the boulder rolled after them. Someone shot a magic at the boulder. However, the magic dispersed as it hit the boulder. It seemed that someone placed magic resistance on the boulder.
Suddenly, the group see an intersection up ahead. The duo raced toward it. It was either survived or become roadkill. The Valkyrie and the Bishop turn at the intersection, narrowly escaped as the boulder continued rolling down. Both breathed heavily. Then someone noticed something on the wall.
The Valkyrie and the Bishop went up to the wall. They saw five levers. Above each lever was a vowel. There was "A", "E", "I", "O", and "U" above each lever. There was a message below the levers. It said:
I may look two, but I am one. When flip me around, I still look the same. Though I sound similar to one of the letters, I am my own individual. Now answer me this: who am I among these letters?
Confused of the message written on the wall, both decided to leave. But when they turned around, a wall suddenly fell down, blocking their only path. Some threw a magic to break the wall. However, the magic was dispersed. Like the boulder, the wall was magic resistance. With their only entrance being blocked and their weapons useless, there was only one way to escape: to figure out the riddle written on the wall.
((Good luck figuring that out. >3 ))
((P.S. We'll answer your result of whether or not you figure out the riddle. X3 heart ))

There was a thunderous noise reached into his ears as well as the growl echoed through the corridors. The sly smile crept onto his lips.
Oh..... How perfect it was to hear that delightful noise. Either someone had stumbled into a trap or had accidentally caused a cave-in. Although the labyrinth was old and ancient, he needed no worry. He knew his way inside the labyrinth for he had picked this place as the contest. Why, he even set some of the traps inside too. He wondered how many had fell into his traps.
But, no matter... This devious assassin would have his fun. Oh, yes. Indeed, he would. This playful fellow would not sit back and let the traps, puzzles, and "moles" take the fun. He wanted to be part of the fun. Oh... How exciting it tinged down his spine. But who to play?
From all the contestants he had seen, most of the contestants didn't seemed to match his strength and skill... Well, maybe that two tall men. They looked pretty strong. Oh, yes. Indeed, they looked strong. Wouldn't it be delightful if he ran into either of them? It had been a while since he had last fought a strong man. Now, who was it that he last fought? ... Oh, yes. It was Rath. The strange horseman with the bow as a weapon. Oh, how he wished to interact with him again. However, he had a mission to do so. Oh, yes. How sad it was.
As he came to the intersection, the assassin stopped. Up ahead of him was a man staggering. There was a strip of cloth wrapped around his shoulder. It seemed that he had nearly fell into a trap. And judging from where the man was heading, it seemed that he was heading for another trap. A mischievous grin curled up in his lips.
Oh, goody. He had his wish come true. He got to play with this actor. Oh, what fun would it be.
Not letting the man out of his sight, the assassin began to stroll up to him. He let out a Cheshire smile to the Swordmaster. "Greeting, dear Swordsman. I am known as the Masked Phantom, a fellow man from Mordache. I must say, this contest is quite tricky. Don't you think? Hmm?"
He then pulled out the Vulnerary from his pouch and gave it to the Swordsman. As much as he wanted to play with him, he knew he had to wait. Why spoiled the fun when rushing in? Oh, no. Indeed, it wasn't fun. It would be tragic if he didn't get to play. Right now, he would just pull this man's strings. Question was: how long would the Swordsmaster be his puppet?
"You don't mind if I tag along with you? Hmm? We can help each other to beat this contest and split the prize 50/50. Not to mention, we can work together with this Gryphon Merchanaries. So, what do you say? Hmm?"

Corvus had simply been walking along, sticking doggedly to the left wall. His shoulder ached; it wouldn't be much good if he got into a fight now, would it? He'd have to use his left arm, and he wasn't great with his left arm. Granted, he'd still probably slice a person in two, but not as WELL. But he gritted his teeth and bore it. The rules had been two items only. He'd brought two items; the blade sheathed at his waist and the one strapped to his back. There was no use in worrying, as he couldn't do anything about the wound. No healing items, of course.
And then there was this man, walking up beside him. Not someone he'd seen in the crowd, maybe a late arrival? That was probably it. Good for him, catching up so fast. He must be pretty good. And the way he moved showed muscle, too. Granted, they both wielded blades, but the Assassin would probably be better at him than slipping under a lance-user's guard. And he was offering him a Vulnerary, which the Swordmaster gladly accepted, using a little of the healing salve to cover his wounds. "Split the prize? Mmm, I don't see why not," Corvus replied, voice deep and rough. "I probably couldn't use all of it myself, and I'll have a job afterwards. It sounds like a good deal."
His eyes slid down to the man, and he smiled. The Assassin seemed like a nice enough person, for an assassin, of course, even if he was a little odd. Corvus felt like he could trust him. "Come along then. I'm sure you're smarter than I am, anyway."

♫My name is victory!♫ Sure, Bliss had a point about the rolling thing, but Yula could never acknowledge such a thing. To admit that she had been incapable of stopping herself until she rolled into something strong enough to stop her momentum would be almost the same as admitting defeat. Defeat, was not something the white haired girl was capable of, as far as she was concerned. Yula had yet to admit defeat, even once in her life, or accept that she was wrong. With such a perfect record, she wasn’t exactly keen on tarnishing it. Doing such was out of the question, even if her life was put on the line. Being the prideful creature she was, she wasn’t about to give up that pride even if she died as a result of it. Better to die a winner than a loser, after all.
Yula let her arm fall back down next to her, as her head cocked to the side much like a curious bird might. Moments later her eyes widened slightly in response to the girl’s sudden change in emotion. It was almost freaky how the girl had been irritated one moment and then bubbling with happiness to the point one might wonder how her body contained all of it. Yula wasn’t startled by this change, nor was she even remotely surprised. Rather, the brown eyed girl found herself being caught up in Bliss’ happiness to the point where she had started grinning once more. Why, Yula liked this person already!
“Alright, Bliss,” Yula chirped, confirming she had decided to remember the girl’s name. Maybe she wasn’t as inferior as Yula had first surmised. Though, she was nowhere near as fabulous as Yula, she was definitely better than most of the people running around this maze. Normally, Yula wouldn’t be too pleased running around with someone, especially in a place she was unfamiliar with. Yula was a loner, always had been and always would be as long as it suited her needs. She had learned early on that people were just extra baggage that might put her in danger. Especially, since, the average person was quite stupid and Yula didn’t exactly like stupid. Bliss didn’t seem to fit this category though, so Yula would tolerate her presence. If another person decided to try and join up with the two though, the berserker would have a few words to say about the matter. A loner tolerating one person was one matter; a loner tolerating two was almost unheard of.
Following Bliss’ example, Yula too took a moment to look around at the tunnels before them. The one behind her was obviously out of the question since she they wanted to make progress, not retrace their steps. There were quite a few other tunnels though, all of varying sizes. Some tunnels were quite large, with plenty of head room; others were too tiny to do anything but crawl through them. The tiny ones were also out of the question, since turning around in them would be nearly impossible and the berserker doubted her hammer would even fit through such a tiny space. ”Either that one or that one,” Yula said quite confidently as she pointed at each of the two tunnels.
The first tunnel was the larger of the two, being as wide as it was high. Even if Yula were to stand on Bliss’ head she wouldn’t be able to touch the ceiling. Despite its size it, was darker than the other, not having much in the way of lighting, and the dark stone that made up the walls didn’t help either. Rather than normal rock, the tunnel was made of some sort of black porous rock which glimmered slightly when a stray ray of light hit it, showing the two girls that it was coated with some unknown substance, probably water or algae. The second one was the more normal of the two, and almost the complete opposite of the first. It had a fairly normal diameter of about 7 feet. The stone the tunnel had been carved out of was an average brown rock, which was easily seen since the tunnel was also the more brightly lit of the two though not by a lot. The first was more likely to travel further down into the maze, than the second, but whether or not it was time yet to down yet was the question.
