MISSION- Herbology class (Attempt 6)

There’s a lush garden located on the outskirts of Violet City. Residents say the area is home to an old and powerful Meganium. There must be some truth to the rumors, because the garden stays in bloom, even during winter.

However, we’ve gotten word from the Monks of Sprout Tower that a band of poachers were asking about the garden. Head to Violet City and stop the poachers!

You’ll face 3 poachers with 2 Pokémon each, and their leader with 3 pokemon. Don’t let them capture that Meganium.

Pokemon: Any shiny, basic-stage Grass type
Rewards: 1800
Item: Up to 3 Berries awarded by the grader.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
You gotta proof read. Until you learn this you will not pass this mission. BUT it's getting pretty close. I can feel it in the writing.
I'm gonna make one of the proof read spots super-obvious for you: "Go, Fearow!" Kadabra used Trick.

Other notes:
- Go through the amount of hits Treecko takes, is it reasonable?
- Zen headbutt on Lairon? A bit too easy in you ask me.
- Swords Dance's Effect
- Tangela battle seems a bit...off. Can't place it but it seems a bit odd to me. Maybe give it a quick once over if you have time.
^ Maybe it's because he used Hyper Beam on a pokemon he intended to catch? Just a theory.

After receiving his latest mission on his TADS, he closed it rather quickly, got ready, and headed out. According to the briefing, he was to head to Violet to head off the poachers before they reached the garden. I really need a flying type… Tommy thought as he headed out on his Ratchet Board. Hitting Mach 3, he stayed at that speed, and soon reached the outskirts of Violet, where the Garden was said to be, accidentally passing over the town itself too fast. Trying to turn around, the gravity switch turned off prematurely, and Tommy plummeted into the town below…

Tommy woke up, sprawled out on the floor, his board had been returned before he hit the ground. A group of people had gathered around him, albeit maybe only 5 or 6 people. Three of six included a lady holding a pot of flowers, actually quite covered in dirt and sweat. The second and third guys were the same as the lady, probably workers or assistants. The fourth, a man, had a weird look on his face, wondering “who this brat was”. He was garbed in a black suit, with a bit of brown patched in to it in a spiral design. The other two men were dressed in… whatever monks wore. Tommy immediately jumped up, much to the surprise of the others.

“Are you ok?” The Florist and workers asked.
“Yeah, I’m fine. What happened?”
With a bit of awe, one of the monks responded. “Well… you fell out of the sky!” he exclaimed pointing upwards.
“I’m not surprised…” Tommy muttered.
“Huh?” the Florist and two other men asked.
“Anyways, what are you here for?” The man in black asked.
“Ah, yes, about that, I was sent to go… do something... at the garden. Think you could point me in that direction?” Tommy asked the group. Everyone in the group did not know. Except for the monks.
“Can you step over this way? The monks asked. Tommy obliged, and followed them away, leaving the group in a puzzled state. However, little did Tommy know, the man in black started to follow them.

Close to the Outskirts of town, Tommy and the monks stopped. “To answer your question, we do not know exactly where it is, but poachers have been asking around. Are YOU a poacher?” they asked suspiciously.
Tommy shook his head vigorously. "Are you sure?" asked the other monk. The boy nodded.
As soon as the monks saw a nod, they pelted Tommy with a barrage of questions. "NAME, PLACE OF RESIDENCE, FAVORITE POKEMON" Etc, etc. Tommy was dazed as he answered every question thrown at him.
“Ok then, well, what we DO know is that it is somewhere in this direction on the outskirts of town.” Both monks said at the same time.
“Thanks! I was sent to do something, to prevent…” Tommy said, the monks now with a quizzical look on their faces. “But anyways, Thanks!” Tommy said as he rushed away.
The man in black had heard, and went to inform a twenty-ish looking woman standing near the gym, who had a large scar running down her face, wearing a black, tattered robe with tears and claw marks, with a red three claw insignia, running from her right shoulder to her left hip. The other two with her were wearing the same thing as the first guy, but one with purple, and the other with blue, instead of brown swirls like the first guy. The small group followed Tommy into the outskirts of the town.

Tommy arrived at the entrance to the garden, a small, hidden path... somewhere. Out of the corner of his eyes, he sees four blurs race across the trees to his left. "Hey, Stop!" As soon as Tommy yelled, his luck kicked in, resulting in a double fist slam, causing Tommy to fly backwards. Tommy got up, ready to do whatever he had to. One of the two assaulters stepped forward, a purple spiral design on his shirt. Standing back up, Tommy stared the guy into blinking, and two Pokéballs flew into the air, and Tommy's marathon began.

Order: Charmander, Treecko

The Charmander used a Fire Blast, unexpectedly, right off the bat. Treecko saw it coming, however, and he jumped out of the way. Then, the small gecko/lizard/whatever-it-is dug a small hole, avoiding yet another Fire Blast!
"This Poacher is pushing his Charmander pretty hard..." Tommy muttered as Treecko pushed his way up through the soil to super effectively slam his tiny fists into the lizards jaw, sending it hurdling backwards, as well as a few feet up in the air. This time, the Poacher was smarter, and called for a Scary face, slowing Treecko down as he stared at the Charmander's scary face. This didn't stop Treecko from climbing up a tree. Reaching the top, he jumped off, and used his gravity powered Pound to smash the fire lizard into the ground as if the grass type were a large mallet and the Charmander as a small wooden peg. The Charmander stuck out of the ground, a little dazed, then it performed with a Scratch with its free arm, striking Treecko. Treecko went right up to the small fire type and instantly Giga Drained it, restoring not much of Treecko's health, but KOing the small lizard from a critical at close quarters.
"Argh! Ok, go, Kadabra!" the Poacher shouted as he simultaneously returned and threw out his Pokémon.

Order: Kadabra, Treecko

Kadabra used a Trick. As the items swapped, Treecko received a Black Glasses that the Kadabra had been wearing to look "cool", though they did not help much at all. Treecko, on the other hand, gave up his Dragon Scale, which slightly angered him. Putting on these glasses, he quickly attacked with a Crunch attack, and with the Black Glasses, an extra powered super effective attack smashed the psychic Pokémon to the ground. Not liking the Dragon Scale, the Kadabra switched back using another Trick, ignoring his trainers orders. Now came a Dragon Breath, powered by the scale. This caused the Kadabra to fall backwards yet again. Now completely ticked off, Kadabra used a Psychic to hurl Treecko into a nearby tree. Severely weakened, Treecko used an Agility, only to be Psychic-ed to the ground. Treecko lay defeated on the ground.

Chiko popped out of her Pokéball and instantly Body Slammed the poor psychic type into a near KO, but was paralyzed at contact. Chiko then quickly Mega Drained for the knock out.

The first grunt drooped his head in shame and stepped back as the second stepped forward, this time a silver swirl with a black shade as the backdrop color. Tommy called back Chiko, only to call her out again. It was time for round two. By now, a small crowd had gathered behind the tall bushes on the inside of the town. The battle commenced as the grunt tossed out his Fearow.

Order: Fearow, Chiko

Fearow started off with a Fury Attack, only to have Chiko jump out of the way. Chiko countered with a Sleep Powder. Fearow instantly fell asleep from the powder, crashing to the ground. Chiko then took her time to use Ancient power three times successfully, one STABing all stats once from the Ancient Power. the Fearow woke up angrily, and also well weakened by the onslaught of Dinosaurian rocks (or whatever time period), and used Mirror Move to hit Chiko with an Ancient Power of its own. After that attack, Chiko effectively wrapped her vines around the bird's body, wings, legs, and beak to Wring the Pokémon Out, Fearow now Knocked Out.

"Gah, Kirlia! Take this runt out!" the second grunt yelled as he returned his Fearow.

Order: Kirlia, Chiko

The Kirlia first went with a Calm Mind. Chiko used a Sunny Day.
"Now, Hypnosis!" shouted the grunt. Chiko fell asleep. Then, Chiko slept talked, letting loose a Razor Leaf, striking the Psychic type. Kirlia then Future Sighted, foretelling an attack. Chiko again Slept Talked, now firing a Magical Leaf, striking. Kirlia let out a powerful Psychic attack, striking Chiko at full power, sending her a couple dozen yards backwards. Now waking up, and very tired, Chiko rushed up close and fired a Solar Beam, KOing Kirlia. Ironically, the Future Sight struck home as Chiko too slumped to the ground.

Defeated, both grunts were now smashed into the brambles surrounding Violet City, by the first man's Poliwrath and Charmeleon.
“Surprised?” the man called sneeringly.
“Not really, I probably expected more, if you ask me.” Tommy responded calmly, clearly upsetting and angering the guy.
“NO MORE TALKING! LET”S END THIS!” screamed the man.
“You started it…” Tommy laughed, sweatdropping. This angered the guy moreover. Both sent out their pokemon. It was Poliwrath vs. Flaffy.

Order: Poliwrath, Flaffy

Poliwrath started off with a Rain Dance, an entourage of drumming sounds echoing off of nothingness. After an attack-lowering Growl, a Double Slap ensued, slapping Flaaffy continuously for five slaps, before getting a Thunder Fang, paralyzing it, and slowing it down. Flaaffy then used a Shock Wave, hitting the water type without fail. Poliwrath used a Submission to try and take out Flaaffy, and ended up hurting itself with its own recoil. Flaaffy took the Poliwrath out with a Rain Dance accuracy boosted Thunder. The man growled loudly as he sent out his stronger pokemon: Charmeleon

Order: Charmeleon, Flaaffy

Charmeleon started off with a Flamethrower, but it was weakened before it hit Flaaffy due to the pouring rain. It still hurt Flaffy a little, though. Flaaffy retaliated with a Shock Wave, coursing through rain drops as it sped towards Charmeleon. Even though it had made its best attempt, Charmeleon was hit by the electric pulse of energy. Charmeleon then used a Sunny Day, giving his Fire power a lot more… power, the rain suddenly stopping. “Flaaffy, Thunder Punch.” Tommy said casually as Charmelon was socked in the head. Charmeleon retaliated with a super strong Fire Punch. Due to the sun, it had enough power to knock out Flaffy, who was hurt anyways from the first fight with Poliwrath. As soon as Tommy sent out Marshtomp, Charmeleon and Marshtomp locked gazes. There was a small staring contest between the two, and both trainers sweatdropped.

Order: Charmeleon, Marshtomp (my pokemon are slow…)

Charmeleon used a Rock Smash, which lowered Marshtomp’s defense, but was otherwise not very harmful. Pushing Charmeleon away, Marshtomp yelled “EARTHQUAKE!” as soon as Charmeleon hit the ground, and the fiery chameleon took calamitous damage, KOing it instantly.

Cursing loudly as he sank to his knees, the man was kicked in the head by a hard heel, sending the man into a sprawled heap near the other two poachers. A bunch of poaching weapons fell out of the man’s bag. The woman stepped up to challenge Tommy. She had a look in her eyes…..

Meanwhile…

Pretty much the whole town had come to watch the onslaught of fighting. It was apparent the gang of poachers were losing badly. They wondered if Tommy would stumble and fail. They also doubted that. Whispering could be heard.

"And we bring to you a most exciting fight round here today folks. This out of nowhere trainer, whose name is Tommy, has taken out three trainers already. Now the leader steps out, ready to kill Tommy if nothing else. What's this?... We have received word that Tommy has bad luck. I hope nothing happens. And to the fighting!" blabbered on the cameraman. Nobody paid attention after the "and to the fighting." part.

“So what are your reasons for stopping us, Boy?” she scoffed angrily. “Why? Do you hate us or something?” she sneered.
“Because I know you’re after the Meganium.” Tommy said calmly.
“And why do you think that?”
“Well for one thing, you were heading in that direction. Then, you decided to fight. It was only a matter of time.”
The women was as composed as ever, showing no disbelief. “Oh, and because of those poaching weapons over there.”
The woman couldn’t help chuckling a bit. “Ah, well, those fools were ignorant anyways. When I was threw here I planned to dump them in the wild to die, more likely eaten then starved."
*chiiiiiiii* Tommy stared at her unbelievably. “Well, anyways, shall we just stop and you surrender, or are you gonna' go out on a li--?” Tommy pressured, who was almost immediately answered by being rammed, by a Rampardos, in the stomach. Tommy was thrown 30 feet to the back. Staggering, he coughed up some blood. He sent out his Lairon to take on the big, ancient, hard headed rock of a pokemon.
Order: Rampardos, Lairon

Screeching, Rampardos lowered Lairon’s defense harshly. Lairon retaliated with a Metal Claw. “Rampardos, HEAD SMASH!!” The woman cried, Rampardos charging toward Lairon. Another Metal Claw takes on Rampardos head on, sending Rampardos reeling backwards and slammed into the ground with a thud, knocked out. Lairon, slid backwards, receiving some damage, only because he had managed to quickly throw up Protect, only seconds after the mini explosion, which took the brunt of the attack. The women sighed, returning her Pokémon, and muttered a few choice words. She sends out her next pokemon, a Politoed.

Order: Politoed, Lairon

Politoed used a Perish Song. Lairon used an Iron Defense. Then, Politoed was told to use a powerful Waterfall attack. Luckily, even though it’s super effective, Lairon manages to hold on, thanks to his crazy defense stat. Lairon then KOes the second pokemon of his battle term then with a Metal Burst, doubling the damage given. The woman is now enraged, and sends out her last pokemon, a Zangoose.

Order: Zangoose, Lairon

Zangoose takes down Lairon with a Brick Break, due to double super effectiveness, and an already super lowered HP. Tommy next sends out his Marshtomp: The final battle (hopefully).

Order: Zangoose, Marshtomp

Zangoose uses a Swords Dance, raising its attack. Marshtomp used Muddy Water, hurting the Zangoose, and washing it into its trainer. Zangoose countered with a Crush Claw, scoring an attack raised, super luck critical hit, as well as lowering Marshtomp's defense.
“Marshtomp, finish this! Jump to the side of Zangoose and use a Superpower!” Tommy said loudly, assured of victory as Zangoose was smashed into a KO, hitting her trainer (again), and sending her into the group at the side, giving Tommy enough time to gag and tie up the four poachers and the Zangoose.

As the battle ended, a Sandstorm ensued. As the sandstorm died down, one could see a Trainer lying on the ground, his Marshtomp next to him. There were also four people (and the Zangoose) tied up, and gagged (including Zangoose). As the people swarmed Tommy to help, Tommy was accidentally trampled.

After much needed medical attention, Tommy was standing up, his stomach was bandaged, and his nose was fixed back in place, also bandaged. As Tommy walked back to the fight sight from town, a Meganium appeared. It was the old shiny. It nudged Tommy in the side for it to follow. He let Chiko out, his shiny Chikorita, who immediately ran beside the older plant pokemon. They soon came... to a garden. The Garden.

Tommy and the two shinies arrived at the Garden where the Meganium apparently resided. A bunch of Shiny grass types were scuttling about. As Tommy’s eyes glimmered at the sight, the shiny Meganium nudged him in the side again, now showing Tommy that he could catch one. Looking around, he starts off at full speed into the depths of the garden ignoring the searing pain in his body as he ran.

Suddenly, he trips. He looked back to see a Grass Knot, and a little to the left, a chuckling Tangela. He decided to catch the little bugger. He sent out Vibrava, and the match unfolded.

Order: Vibrava, Tangela

Vibrava started off with a Supersonic, confusing the foe. Tangela then slapped itself, doing some damage. “Vibrava, Sand Tomb!” Tommy said loudly as Tangela was encased in sand, hurting it some. Tangela got through confusion, still confused, and used Sunny day, lighting up the area. The confusion was evaporated. Vibrava used a Sonic Boom, sending the vine pokemon into the brush. It came out and used a Wring Out, hurting Vibrava pretty badly. “Vibrava, Dragon Breath!” Tommy shouted. The breath seemed to flare over the vine pokemon, leaving it limp on the floor. Or so it seemed, as, Tangela took the chance to KO Vibrava with a Power Whip. Vibrava seemed to faint, only to release a quick Screech, lowering the grass type's defense considerably. Tommy made a quick fluid action of recalling Vibrava, and sending an enpty Aqua Ball into the air, which hit the Tangela upside the head. Tangela was absorbed into the ball. One… Two… Three…… Click. The Tangela was caught!

With the ball teleporting away, Tommy waved goodbye to all of the shinies that he could see, now ready to leave. Petting the Meganium, letting the Meganium give a small pink flower to Chiko as a goodbye present, and after Tommy returned Chiko, he set off back to HQ.

As he walked into the very edge of Violet, some flowers in line with him bloomed. As he walked, the blooming did the same. People watched in awe as Tommy walked, obliviously through the town. He stopped to scratch his back, and the flowers stopped too. As he exited the town, all of the flowers disappeared, and then all burst out in bloom at the same time. Tommy finally noticed as the people oohed and aahed at the sight. Puzzled, Tommy rode away on his Ratchet Board, and was soon at HQ. He sat down, and started typing up a report, just like this one. Freaky, eh?

Sunny wandered round the HQ, trying to find an unoccupied corner to sit down in peace and sew up her backpack, which still had a hole in the side that Gulpin had made when she first caught him. She finally found a large blue sofa that was situated near an equally large rectangular window. Rain was pelting down outside, stinging the glass noisily as it hit the pane. Sunny loved that sound; it reminded her of home. She settled herself on the sofa and began to patch up her bag. As she worked, she glanced up. Opposite the sofa was a mission board. One of the missions caught her eye.
"Any Aqua member is needed to travel to Johto and catch a Slowpoke for Kurt, the pokeball maker, in Azalea town. He needs it as soon as possible to train for the Slowpoke festival. He has hurt his back, so he cannot go himself. Either a bug pokémon or 5 of any kind of ball offered as a reward." it read. Sunny smiled. She had wanted some more balls for a while, since she wanted to catch herself some new pokémon. She hastily finished fixing and packing up her backpack, before slinging it on her back and dashing out of the HQ.
The rain was still slashing down, but Sunny didn't let that put her off. She leapt on her bike and rode off towards the harbour.

It was getting on towards evening when Sunny arrived in Johto. All the way, showers had pelted the boat she had been on. To her surprise, it was raining even more heavily in Johto than it had been in Hoenm. Still, she didn't worry about it, as she was intent on getting to Azalea town. She rode the rest of the journey on her bike, and stopped when she arrived at the city's gates. Outside stood two guards. One of them walked up to her.
"Evening. Beware of the well, miss, won't you?" he warned her.
"Why? What's happened to the well?" Sunny asked, curiously.
"What with all this rain, half of the cave below the well has flooded. The ground down there is slippery, and it's making the slowpoke annoyed in the fact that they slip every time they try to move around. I don't want you to slip and hurt yourself, or get attacked by Slowpoke."
Sunny didn't say anything. She didn't want to make any promises, when she'd come all the way out to Johto to do a mission. She strolled into the town, having left her bike behind a bush. The first building she came to was a pokémon centre. She went into it and bought herself a coffee from the cafe machine, while asking Nurse Joy about the well.
"The well is North-east from here," she explained. "It's easy to find because it's just outside the forest, and Kurt's house is right next to it. It's the only well in the town, and it's very large."
Sunny thanked her and gulped down the rest of the coffee, feeling very warm and looking forward to completing the mission.

As Sunny went back outside, the rain was letting up. The sun peeked round the thick blanket of grey, and it cast its warm glow over Sunny as she walked, drying off her clothes slightly. When Sunny reached the well, she saw a man standing in front of it. He was just trying to put one of his feet over the side of the well, to enter into the cave below. Sunny's eyes widened and she called out to him.
"Wait! You can't do that! You might hurt yourself!"
At the sound of her voice, the man lost his balance. Sunny wracked her brains frantically. How could she stop him from falling?
She suddenly had an idea. She could use Gulpin to keep him stuck to the well!
"Gulpin! Battle position!" she called, as Gulpin's pokeball opened in a flash of light. Gulpin landed on the lip of the well, opposite the man. "Gulpin! Grab hold of one of the poles in your mouth, and stick to the man's back!" Sunny commanded. Gulpin's large mouth closed around the pole supporting the shelter over the well. His sticky skin stuck to the man's back, and held him in place long enough for Sunny to rush over and help the man out.
"That was great, Gulpin! Now, return!" She congratulated him, as he returned in a red beam of light to his ball.
Close up, Sunny saw the man was quite old. The back of his neck was bright red, like he had a large sore on his back. His back! That rang a bell in Sunny's mind. The mission had said that Kurt, the pokeball crafter, had hurt his back, and that was why he needed assistance catching a Slowpoke.
"Are you... Kurt?" Sunny asked, curiously.
"Yes, I am. Thanks for saving me." replied the man, slightly embarrassed. "I was attempting to go down the well myself and try to catch a slowpoke since no-one came to help me, but just as I was trying to find the second step down, I slipped. All this rain plus my bad back has made it unsafe for me to go down!"
"Don't worry, I've come to help you catch a slowpoke." Sunny grinned. "I'll go down the well for you and try to find one."
Kurt sighed with relief. "I'll be in my hut, then. Come to me when you have one." and with that, he turned, and walked slowly back to his house, opposite the well.
Now alone, Sunny carefully climbed onto the well and lowered herself over the other side. At once, she found the first step. She stood on it, and scraped her foot across it to see how slippery it was. She almost lost her balance at once! Drenched with water, the stone was incredibly slippery and not very safe. Sunny had an idea. She reached up and grabbed hold of the rope which once lowered a bucket down the well. She used that to steady herself as she walked down the three steps. Once she got to the bottom, she looked around and found a low archway. She bent down and went through. At once, the well widened into a cave and the ceiling thankfully rose. Sunny looked about her. The floor had had rainwater flowing over it a few hours ago, and when she walked, she had to hold onto the walls in case she slipped with one hand. In the other, the opened her TADS, using the light from its screen as a kind of torch. She explored the cave thoroughly, and at last found a ladder leading downwards. From down the hole it lead to, Sunny could see a strange blue light. She was able to shut off her TADS and climb down the ladder using the light as a guide. When she reached the next cave down, she found the light was caused by phosphorescence on the ceiling of the cave reflecting light from puddles on the ground. It was quite pretty, really. As there were no slowpokes in this cave either, she hunted around for a possible third ladder. She did eventually find one, but what a surprise she got! All of the rainwater that had drained into the well had still not drained out of the third cave down, and the water down the ladder was almost up to the floor of the cave she was in; she could see by peering down the hole. She was about to turn and search for another ladder, until she heard a surprising sound.
"Sloow-poke!"
Sunny froze. There was a slowpoke down in the water! She could leave it and search for another, but then again, she might not find another... she made up her mind quickly. "Piplup! I need you!" she called, sending a pokeball flying into the air. Out of it came Piplup, her first pokémon, in a shower of silver light. "Piplup, go down into the water and try and lead the Slowpoke down there up into this cave. There's no way I can fight it when it's submerged in water!" Piplup dived down the hole at once, and spotted the Slowpoke in one corner of the flooded cave. She swum over and called to it.
"Piplup! Pip-lup!" she called. The Slowpoke, obviously tired of being under the water, followed at once. Piplup leapt back into the cave above, where Sunny was waiting patiently. After a few seconds, the slowpoke leapt out too. At once, Sunny ran round to the hole that it had just come up, blocking the exit so the Slowpoke could not escape. Piplup ran to the ladder leading up to the first cave, the dark one leading off from the well, and stood in front of it, blocking that escape route too. The Slowpoke made a weird growling noise.

"Ok Gulpin, go! I need you to fight for me!" Sunny called, tossing Gulpin's pokeball. Gulpin appeared again, and hopped about, sniffing a battle. "Gulpin, sludge bomb!" Sunny commanded. Gulpin at once opened its mouth and sent a jet of foul-smelling sludge through the air. The disgusting liquid hit Slowpoke on its shoulder, sending it flailing backwards and taking some of its HP. Slowpoke made another angry noise and performed a slightly slow but very strong tackle attack on Gulpin, landing an unexpected critical hit. Gulpin was tossed backwards and it hit the cave wall. Gulpin stood, in bad shape, in front of the enemy Slowpoke. The Slowpoke suddenly recoiled and clutched its fat pink arms across its stomach.
"It's poisoned!" exclaimed Sunny. "It must have been poisoned by the sludge bomb attack! Now's our chance! Gulpin, use rollout on Slowpoke!"
Gulpin used it’s perfectly round body to launch a well-aimed rollout on Slowpoke, but as Gulpin was weakened, Slowpoke was able to dodge the attack, despite its slow nature. It returned with a tackle, hitting Gulpin hard for a second time. Seeing that Gulpin was low on HP and not wanting to risk letting it fait, Sunny ordered it to switch with Piplup, to take over guarding the other exit while Piplup finished the battle. Full of energy, Piplup leapt between Sunny and the slowpoke and Gulpin slowly crawled to the ladder and sat there, panting.
"Piplup! Use bubblebeam to weaken it slightly!" commanded Sunny. Piplup fired off a bubblebeam, and Slowpoke tried to return the attack with a tackle but it was too low on HP to do much damage and as the poison hurt it the attack missed. Sunny thought now would be the time to use a pokeball. She threw the red and white ball at the Slowpoke, and it was sucked in at once. One click came, and then a second. Sunny and Piplup fixed their eyes on the pokeball. If all eternity could be trapped in a second, Sunny finally understood how it felt. Finally, the third click came and Sunny cried out.
"I DID IT! I caught Slowpoke!"
Piplup and Gulpin crawled to her feet, both looking tired from the battle. Sunny held out their balls. "You two return, and take a well-earned rest." she grinned. They nodded gratefully and vanished in two beams of red that pierced the cave's darkness for a split second. Sunny picked up the pokeball containing Slowpoke and put it in her Backpack, before making her way back up the ladder, through the first cave and back up the well. Kurt was standing outside to greet her.

"Well done!" he congratulated her. "I can tell from your expression you accomplished what I asked. In return, I shall give to you 5 of a certain pokeball. Which kind would you like?"
"I'd love 5 colour balls please," smiled Sunny, and nodded her thanks as Kurt reached into his pocket and pulled some out for her. She took them and put them in her bag, before thanking him again and handing him the ball containing Slowpoke. "I'd better be off now, I don't want to be caught in any more bad weather, now the rain's stopped!"
"Take care!" called Kurt, as he turned and went back into his house, the precious pokeball in his hand. Sunny sped back to her bike and leapt on, eager to get back to HQ now her mission was complete.

MISSION- Herbology class (Attempt 7)

There’s a lush garden located on the outskirts of Violet City. Residents say the area is home to an old and powerful Meganium. There must be some truth to the rumors, because the garden stays in bloom, even during winter.

However, we’ve gotten word from the Monks of Sprout Tower that a band of poachers were asking about the garden. Head to Violet City and stop the poachers!

You’ll face 3 poachers with 2 Pokémon each, and their leader with 3 pokemon. Don’t let them capture that Meganium.

Pokemon: Any shiny, basic-stage Grass type
Rewards: 1800 1100 PD
Item: Up to 3 Berries awarded by the grader.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
There are a few spots where it's a bit sketchy still, and where the grammar is still a bit awkward. Yet in terms of battle content and flow it seems ready to be passed. Although the battles don't flow as well anymore with the added content.

I am going to pass this. But know that if you attempt a lvl 4 or 5 mission I will come down on you with a real red grading pen and a damage calculator. Or a makeshift calculator if I don't have a real one.

Keep 1,100 PD, taken some off due to the severity of attempts made on mission, and 3 Oran Berries.

Can I get a Mu-wa-ha-ha-ha?
I have your Mwu-ha-ha right here. Has nothing to do with Aqua though.

Beep. Beep. Beep. The noise went from a faint almost whisper before resounding heavily off the walls until the whole room was blaring with the beeping noise. The slumbering girl merely rolled over, muttering softly in her sleep.

Kage awoke from beside the girl, his ears flattened against his head. His hearing was much more sensitive then the girl’s, and so the sound was deafening. Slamming a paw on the Snooze button, the grey dog pokemon yawned. The sound had stopped after pushing the button, and some faint music started playing in the room. Who knew exactly what today was going to bring? A faint vibrating noise came from the girl’s jacket, and so he leapt from the bed to the floor. Nudging around with his nose, he finally found the source. It was the girl’s TADS glowing, meaning that they had been given a mission for the day. Well it seemed like now was the time to wake up. The dog crouched low to the ground, creeping towards the bed. A mischievous smirk crossed his maw, as he then leapt onto the girl’s back growling in mock fury.

The ten year old had been peacefully dreaming of the day when Kage would evolve into a Mightyena, when the dream suddenly took a shift for the worst. A huge black and grey demon emerged and tackled her. Fighting and scratching, the girl yelled incoherently. Eyes flickering open, the girl realized that she was tangled in the blankets with Kage seated smugly on her chest. “>Time to wake up.<” He said smirking, tongue lolling teasingly out of his maw. “>You have been assigned a mission.<”

“What, really?” the girl replied, managing to untangle her arms from the blanket. Pushing the dog off her chest, she then managed to disengage from the rest of the blanket that had ensnared her body. Getting ready quickly, the girl tossed on some clothes and grabbed her pack. Racing out the door of HQ, she stepped into one of the transporters leading to outside. After a few mere seconds, she walked out into the crisp day air. Taking a deep breath, she closed her eyes enjoying the fresh air go into her lungs. Nothing was as good as being outside, and she loved it. Getting onto her bike, she began pedaling off towards Celadon City.

:: On the Way to Celadon City::

Kisumi had one headphone in her ear, humming along to some songs.
“It’s never enough to say I’m sorry,” she hummed, giggling slightly. The girl pedaled at a leisurely pace, Kage perched on the passenger seat she had installed, tongue lolling out of his mouth. He let out a bark of pleasure, enjoying the fresh breeze that was intense enough to flatten his fur against his side. The girl decided to continue onward at a slightly faster pace, seeing the sun rise higher and higher into the sky. Travelling downhill, she held her hands out, going downward with no hands. But suddenly there was a slight rumbling, and several green blobs of pokemon were swarming the area. They were running panicked circles, running into each other. Obviously something was horribly wrong in order for them to act this way. Putting her hands on the handlebars, she skidded to a quick halt. Placing her bike in some nearby bushes safely hidden, she rushed towards the group of pokemon.

“Oh, I know what to do!” she said, glancing at Kage. The pokemon tilted his grey and black head to the side curiously, wondering what she was going to possibly do in this situation. The girl smiled and she tried to get to a place where she could see most of the pokemon. She gave Kage a reassuring wink, before focusing back on the pokemon. “Okay, I saw this on Code Geass before…I know its an anime, but maybe I have the power he does.” She focused her eyes intently on them, before letting out a loud yell, so that all attention was on her.

All the pokemon looked at the girl’s brown eyes for a brief second before they resumed running. The green pokemon had already been panicked, but total chaos erupted at the sight of the human approaching and the sound of her voice was just too much to bear.

Kage looked at the intense focus visible in the girl’s liquid brown gaze and burst out in a barking laugh. He fell over rolling on his side, tail wagging from side to side. He felt like his sides would split, since he was laughing so hard. Kisumi shrugged sheepishly, before a hesitant grin spread over her face.

“Well…it worked for Lelouch. Guess I don’t have the power. But what was really supposed to happen was a weird red shaped bird erupts from my eye and causes me to have control over anyone that it possesses. But I can only do it once to any person or pokemon. Oh well.”

“>Human, human!<” they yelled in unison. The chaos and pandemonium increased, growing to a dangerous level.

Kisumi didn’t know what to do, so she pulled a pokeball from her belt. Kage wouldn’t be able to handle this group by himself. Maybe if he had help herding them together, then there was a possibility that they would calm down. If they would listen to reason, they would find that the girl had stopped in order to help out. She rolled her brown gaze, because they acted like she couldn’t understand what they were saying. Clicking on the button in the center, the pokeball grew to double its size before she tossed it.

“Kasai! Come help Kage gain control of these pokemon!”

A bright, blinding red light flashed before revealing the appearance of a Growlithe. Paws digging into the ground, he let out a loud snarl. It ripped from his throat to reverberate from all around. The group of Gulpin froze for the briefest of seconds, before slamming into each other once more. This time the frantic pace was not just circles, but zigzags as well. The fire dog growled annoyance, before leaping into the huge, green writhing mass of pokemon. He let out his loud snarl, and this time all the Gulpin froze motionless. The fire dog had his jaws clamped firmly but securely against a certain pokemon. The figure in question was the same breed as the rest, however his leaf was orange and his body was pure blue. The Growlithe was experienced in getting a crowd’s attention, obviously knowing to attack the leader to get the others attention.

The girl had never seen a Shiny Gulpin before. This must have been the leader of the group, since none of the pokémon were moving. The Growlithe walked over to the girl, dropping the pokemon unharmed in front of her. There wasn’t even a bite indentation on the Gulpin’s neck.
“>Go ahead and say what you need too.<” Kasai said, gruffly. His eyes remained on the pokemon, muscles rippling down his back. It was obvious he would fight any that got in his way, or kill the leader. Nobody moved an inch, so there were no problems.

The Shiny male Gulpin cleared his throat noisily. His eyes were wide with fear, but he turned to the human. “>Well we have a problem. The Scyther of a nearby forest have decided to invade Gulpin lands. They have kidnapped my daughter and threaten to kill her, if I do not surrender my lands or become his slave along with one other term. He wishes for me to find a dog or two to become his servants and serve him.<” The girl crouched low to the ground, so that her eyes could meet that of the scared pokemon. “Well Kasai and Kage can help. We’ll save your daughter, don’t worry. We’re here to help you.”

The pokemon travelled deep into the forest, the Gulpin leading the two dog pokemon. They hung their heads submissively, playing the part of the captives. It wasn’t long before the trio of pokemon reached the forest. They were greeted by several of the bladed Scyther, who escorted the Shiny Gulpin to their leader. The creatures taunted the poor, terrified Gulpin to no end, tormenting him mentally. But soon they came to a clearing where several Scyther were gathered as one. But the biggest was the huge green Scyther standing cockily upon a log. He was obviously leader, not only visible by the abnormal crimson gaze, but also because of the heavily scarred body. There was not an inch of him that did not hold a scar of any sort.

“>Blade, I brought you the two dogs like you asked,<” the blue Gulpin said, his eyes focused on the ground. “>Could I possibly see my daughter now?<”

The Scyther grinned evilly, but nodded. “>Sure.<” Motioning to one of the Scyther, the prisoner was brought forward. She was also a Shiny Gulpin and raced over to her father happily. The Scyther rubbed his bladed arms together, and laughed bloodlust visible in his eyes. He grinned, before disappearing and reappearing next to the Shiny Gulpin, prepared to end their pitiful lives. But a red and black flash slammed directly into the pokemon, thrusting him backwards. The Scyther looked around angrily, his crimson eyes flashing. “>Who was stupid enough to want to pick a fight with me?<” he stated, malice dripping with every word.

The Growlithe let out a loud snarl, the striped dog’s ears pinned flat against his head. His fangs bared, showing lethal white points connected to a powerful jaw that could crush through a pokemon’s skull. “>I believe I did.<” he said calmly, tail cricked slightly in annoyance.

The Scyther’s face contorted into an unrecognizable expression, before grinning. A sadistic glimmer reflected through the crimson orbs, as he placed his bladed arms slicing easily through the air.
“>Excellent. Now I finally have a challenge!<”

The Growlithe let loose another rumbling snarl. “>Here are my terms. We battle one on one. If I win, you let the Shiny Gulpin leave with me. If you win, you can have them and do whatever you want.<” A ray of sunlight reflected off the white fangs making them seem almost to glow. Fur bristling, he waited patiently for the Scyther’s response.

The Scyther agreed, before launching into the first attack! He vanished, zigzagging in disappearing and reappearing, faster then the human eye could see in a Quick attack! Appearing beside of the Growlithe, he slammed into the fire dog’s side sending him flying through the air.
Kasai flew through the air, hitting the ground roughly. The Scyther was indeed strong, for every fight power is gained. Snarling annoyance, he then raced towards the flying bug and leapt over him. Turning around quickly while his paws skidded slightly over the rough earth, he then slammed into the bug as well, feeling the satisfying crunch of the earth and the sound of a pokemon’s breath being knocked from their very lungs. But the Scyther merely laughed as he coughed up some blood. He then glowed slightly, as he raised those bladed arms once more. Suddenly and quickly, he sliced down with both blades making an X.

The slice bit deep into the Growlithe’s pelt, blood flowing freely down his side. Snarling, he rose staggering slightly to his feet. He must not lose, this fight was to protect others. Concentrating all his power for the briefest of seconds, he let the fury fuel his inner fire. Upward, it surged through his body, pulsing his blood more rapidly then ever before. He could feel his energy rising, and an almost giddiness rose to his head. Then there was an overpowering strong fire that flowed strongly throughout his body. It became increasingly powerful, growing harder and harder to keep in by the second. It flowed, before completely surrounding his body in a Flare Blitz attack! It was burning his fur in the process, but the adrenaline rushing through prevented him from being bothered. Without a second thought and with the fire continuing to surround his body, he pushed off the earth heavily with his paws and took off running. Slamming into his foe, he could feel the fire that was surrounding his body burning his opponent severely. Growling, he panted as the fire died from around his pelt. The Growlithe had been burned as well, but the fire still burned strongly on the Scyther.

Everyone was forced to watch as the Scyther continued to burn even in unconsciousness. The other Scyther looked pleadingly at the Growlithe before splashing their leader with water frantically. Picking him up, the gang of Scyther scattered in retreat. Kisumi burst out of the bushes, hugging Kasai while tears were flowing freely down her face. “I was so worried about you!” she sobbed, burying her face in his fur. “Y-you were s-so brave and l-look at you now.” She hiccupped. Pulling out a potion and a burn heal, she saw the immediate relief in the Growlithe’s eyes as the burns healed and he felt some of his strength return.

The Gulpin were gathered around, staring in awe of the fire pokemon. The Shiny Gulpin leader looked at him, and informed him just how grateful he was. The Gulpin would forever worship the Growlithe who had saved their leader and his daughter. With a wave of goodbye and many grateful thanks from everyone, they left.

Kisumi smiled, returning her Growlithe to his pokeball. He deserved a good rest, because the day wasn’t over yet. Kage led her back to where her bike was, and she climbed up and began pedaling off once more.

::The arrival to Celadon City::

The sun was still high in the sky as she arrived at the city. Staring at awe at all of the shops, she smiled happily. So her mission was to obtain party supplies for a couple that were celebrating a birthday for their child and who wanted it to be special, but the trip to the city was too far. Kisumi had promised to get the child’s party supplies so that the party on Saturday would be successful. But before the girl could even enter any of the stores, a loud voice erupted throughout the whole city.

“Welcome all to the great Celadon City! In honor of all the booming business we continue to receive thus far, we have decided to turn our shops into something exciting for today. Instead of just buying your items, we will be having contests and battles. Each shop has a unique task you must complete with your pokemon, or maybe it’s just a traditional one on one battle. Either way, the task must be completed if you want the item. This is the only way to obtain any items today, and we are glad to present the winners anything they need free of charge. Good luck all!”

“Well that’s lucky, I guess.” Kisumi said, surprised. Taking a look at her list, she realized that the first place that she needed to go was one that sold balloons. Wandering around lost for a little bit, she finally saw a huge sign that said ‘Looking for balloons? Come to Doug’s Mart! It sells all shape, sizes, and forms of balloons.’ The girl quickly raced down the road, following the signs. Opening the door, she was immediately blinded by a bright yellow light.

“Ah, this is excellent. Alright, in order to obtain your balloons, you must defeat me in battle. Kat, attack with Double Slap!”

A Skitty glowed faintly in the light, tail lashing prepared to lash out harshly at the first object she saw. Kage had leapt from Kisumi’s shoulder to take the attack that had been meant for his trainer. Slamming harshly into the ground, there was a sickening crack as the Poochyena hit the earth. Kage rose shakily to his paws, growls resounding furiously in his chest. He charged in jaws parted, and white fangs glowing in the faint light.

Suddenly the area lit up to reveal an ordinary typical but original battle stadium. The light blinded the dark dog pokemon’s eyes, and he snarled angrily recoiling backwards. The Skitty easily leapt out of the way of the attack, and then charged in with another double slap. Once again, the Poochyena was slammed into the ground. His paws collapsed under him as soon as he attempted to rise.

“This is too easy,” the Skitty’s trainer said, laughing. “Kat, let’s end it here! Go in for the kill!”

The Skitty raced gracefully towards the fallen pokemon on the ground. All the attention went to her head, as she focused all her remaining energy there. Lowering so that it was facing her opponent, she took off running and preparing to slam into the Poochyena with a Zen Headbutt!

Kisumi looked worried as she balled her hands into fists against her side. She hoped that Kage had a plan, or else this would end the battle. However she was more concerned about her pokemon then the actual loss of the battle. “Kage!” she cried anxiously.

The pokemon’s ears flickered slightly, and his dark eyes shot open. He had been conserving his energy, purposely waiting for the Skitty to get close. Closer and closer…just a little bit more. There! The shadows that were building within his body formed into a huge shadow ball. The pokemon thrust it directly into the Skitty’s chest, sending her flying. The pink pokemon soared into the air, landing heavily on the ground with a soft thud. The attack had hit her harshly, and she just laid on the ground for a second in shock. Kage knew this was the only chance he would get, as this time he staggered onto his paws. Panting heavily, the dog pokemon’s gaze was clouded with exhaustion. Digging his claws into the ground, he then pushed off and forced his legs to run. They felt like rubber at the moment, but he could manage to complete this one last attack! Racing forward, he felt a strange power grow from within. His fangs gleamed a deep purple, as he felt the poison spread throughout them. Skidding to a halt, he then sunk his fangs deep into the Skitty’s pelt!
The pokemon squealed in terror, lashing out at the Poochyena. Her tail managed to slap him backwards, but she grew limp as soon as the fangs released her. Kage collapsed on the ground, but his tail wagged from side to side. He had managed to defeat his opponent.

The girl rushed up to him, gently picking him up worriedly. “You deserve a rest,” she said softly, gently stroking his head. “That was an awesome battle. Thank you.” She let the red light surround him, and his form faded from the ground. Tucking his pokeball on her belt, she then turned to the owner of the store.

“Well done,” he said, slightly pleased. “Kat hasn’t been defeated that often, and that was some stamina that your Poochyena has. A reward well deserved for this battle.” He gave her a handful of balloons, and so she thanked him gratefully. Onward to the next shop!

The girl travelled throughout the city, occasionally seeing random passerby. It was pretty crowded, but everyone was inside of the stores instead of meandering around outside of them. A yawn emerged, and she quickly raised a hand to cover her mouth. There were still a couple more battles before she would be complete with this mission. Pulling out the list of party supplies, she crossed out the word balloons. So the next thing on her list was fireworks. “Now where would I be able to find some fireworks?” the girl thought to herself, puzzled. As she was pondering, a Magby walked past her carrying something in its hands. The Pachirisu on Kisumi’s shoulder rolled his eyes, as he spotted the fireworks in the pokemon’s arms. He nudged at her, but the girl was ignoring him. Finally he shocked her hard enough to get her attention, chattering annoyed.

Pulled back to reality and out of her thoughts, the girl winced. “Ouch, Kai. What was that for?” The pokemon leapt off her shoulder, and raced in the direction that he had seen the Magby go. “>Wait up!<” he shouted, before catching up to the pokemon. Leaping over the fire type, he then stood firmly upright in its path. “>Show us where you got the fireworks.<” He demanded.

The Magby glared his eyes sharp like daggers, and piercingly focused on the squirrel. “>My trainer makes these. His shop is right there.<”

It was then that the girl and her pokemon would realize that the Magby had led them to a perfect place to obtain the second item on her list, fireworks.

“>Fight me. Or are you too scared without your trainer here?<” the Pachirisu taunted, eager to battle.

The Magby just looked at the squirrel coolly. “>Our challenge is much different than just any simple battle.<” He proclaimed, scoffingly. “>Afterall our fireworks are the best in this entire city. Come inside and take the challenge, if you dare.<” The words hovered in the air, ominously before the Magby walked inside.

The Pachirisu ears twitched, eyes narrowed in annoyance. “>Like that was really scary at all.<” He growled, before leaping back onto Kisumi’s shoulder. The pair walked into the store, and a bell rang upon their entrance. The store owner greeted the two, a friendly look in his gaze. “Welcome to my shop. I suppose you came for the challenge? It is only able to be completed if you have a water pokemon.” Kai let loose a growl from beneath his teeth, annoyed that he hadn’t been able to battle.

The Team Aqua girl nodded. “I have a water pokemon.”

The man led the way, where there were two separate buildings. “Now here is your task. Inside of each of these buildings is a pokemon. I want your pokemon to set out the fire, and save the pokemon from harm. You have five minutes per building, and each building has three floors. I suggest beginning now. Alright, Blaze, start the fire.”

The Magby from earlier nodded, and then flames shot from his mouth to slowly start to set each building on fire.

The Aqua girl quickly pulled out a pokeball. “Kei, hurry and start rescuing the pokemon.”

The Buizel appeared out of his pokeball, and automatically took off at a run towards the nearest building. Did he volunteer for this? No. Did he get a say in whether he wanted to do this stupid thing? No. Sighing, he raced through the door of the first building. He was overwhelmed by the cloud of gray smoke, and coughed. His sharp eyes glanced around the room, but he didn’t see any pokemon. Pausing for a second, he then listened intently. There was a sharp squeal from a pokemon upstairs, and he raced up the stairs. There were three doors, all closed. Sighing, he barged through the first door. Racing around the room, he realized there was no pokemon in here. He gathered his breath, and quickly shot water from his mouth in a water gun attack. The water managed to extinguish the fire, and so he ran onward to the next room. Time was ticking, but he was going at the fastest rate possible. The second door was harder to open. He slammed into it, but it didn’t budge. Growling frustration, he then used an Aqua Jet attack, and this time the door gave way. Water extinguished the fire in this room and there was a baby Cyndaquil on the bed. The Buizel grabbed him by his scruff, taking care not to touch the flames that were flowing against his back. Jumping out the nearest window, he landed heavily on the ground. Dropping the Cyndaquil by his trainer, he gathered some of his strength to finish putting the fire out.

One building down and one left to go. Panting heavily, he then raced through the door once more. This time there was no noise to alert him to the place where the pokemon was. Growling frustration, he had to locate the pokemon. Racing upstairs, he was relieved to see that all the doors were open. Racing from room to room, he found only emptiness. Great. The smoke was getting thicker, making it hard to breath, but he trudged onward. Heading downstairs, his eyes grew wide at the intensity of the flames down here. It blazed, rising higher and higher, eating all in its path. Rushing from room to room, he found the pokemon cowering against a wall. It was a Chikorita, and if he hadn’t found her, then the poor grass type would have died. Growling annoyance, he quickly tossed the pokemon onto her back. He focused his remaining energy from within, and water burst from his mouth. It started swirling quickly, before rising and becoming a whirlpool. The water extinguished all of the flames, and the building was flooded. The water burst out the windows, with the Buizel floating on top. The Chikorita was unharmed, as she was placed in front of her trainer. Kei stood stubbornly, legs quivering as he refused to lie down and rest. Fatigue clouded his eyes, as he glared at the shop owner.

Kisumi returned the Buizel for his well earned rest, praising him happily. She turned to look at the storekeeper wondering what he was going to say. The store keeper gave her some fireworks and informed her that there was a pokemon center next to the cake shop. That way she could heal her pokemon, before heading to her final challenge.
“The Cake shop owner’s pokemon is currently undefeatable. I suggest using only your best.” He replied, before waving goodbye.

The girl headed down an alleyway, considering what the Fireworks shopkeeper had said. She spotted the pokemon center and walked through the door. Nurse Joy smiled and greeted the young girl. Taking the girl’s pokemon, she then placed it on the healing machine. Kisumi impatiently waiting, pacing back and forth. The nurse handed her pokemon back fully healed, and smiled. “Thank you and come again.” Kisumi practically ran out of the door, bolting from the Pokemon Center like wild packs of Houndoom were after her. She was anxious for this last part of the mission, ready for whatever challenge was next. The girl let the Pachirisu stay on her shoulder, as she entered the cake shop. A friendly cake owner greeted her, with a Pichu on his shoulder. The small pokemon looked so small, innocent, and cute. “Call out your pokemon.”The male said.

Kisumi thought about what pokemon she wanted to use, and decided on Akito. Tossing the Hoothoot’s ball into the air, she yelled his name. “Akito, come on out!”

The Hoothoot hovered in the air, wings flapping slightly as he glanced around for his opponent.

The Pichu on the male’s shoulder leapt down, and smirked. Her gaze focused intently on the bird, before turning innocently to his trainer.
The bird laughed. This Pichu looked so weak compared to the one that he had been defeated by. Not even truly thinking, he dove down for a Peck attack. His wings were tucked against his body, to help lend speed, as gravity sent him spiraling towards the Pichu.

The Pichu didn’t even move, or flinch when the bird’s beak dug into her shoulder. Blood leaked, and her eyes turned sadistically evil. While the pokemon was so close, she moved into action. Leaping onto his back, the Pichu let loose a powerful Thunderbolt! Electricity crackled through the air, making little ‘zzttt’ noises echo throughout the store.

The Hoothoot crumpled, lying there gasping for air. He couldn’t give up, not just yet. The pokemon had delivered a critical blow, and it would only take one more for him to lose. Whipping upward into the air, and forcing his wings to flap, the bird rose slowly up into the air. Flapping his wings, he flapped them together rapidly, before the air started spiraling into a Wing Attack! The gust of wind spiraled perfectly down to the Pichu. She was hurt by it, but she she just let her small compact body swirl with the wind, and it faded quickly. Akito was barely hovering at the ground at this point, unable to even really put up much of a defense. The Pichu smirked before letting loose yet another powerful Thunderbolt.

The Thunderbolt was so powerful, that the bird went spiraling to the ground. Hitting it with a loud thud, smoke emitted from his burnt body.
Kisumi quickly returned him, before thinking about what pokemon to use. But before she had a chance to do anything, Kai leapt off her shoulder and glared at the female Pichu. “>Give me your best shot.<” he said, electricity radiating powerfully off his cheeks.

The Pichu moved gracefully, her cold eyes calculating on how well this pokemon was going to do in battle. Immediately she darted to the ground, and raced directly towards him. It wasn’t until she was close to him, that the electricity gathered in her paw and she slammed into his face with Thunderpunch! The Pachirisu was sent flying backwards, but managed to twist in mid-air to land on all four paws. Electricity sparks crackled against his cheek from the blow, as he charged towards her. Leaping over the Pichu, his tail began glowing a gray color, before slamming into her back with Iron Tail! The Pichu staggered, and then raced in a different direction. Copying his tactic, she appeared behind of him and then used her stored electricity to hit him with a powerful Thunderbolt attack!

The electricity surrounded the Pachirisu, and he staggered. The Pichu then decided to counter-attack, and continued to keep the steady, but slowly increasing electricity attack to continue. The Thunderbolt continued to surge into the Pachirisu’s body, his figure practically glowing. The air was crackling harshly with the electricity, and the Pichu’s strong Thunderbolt was quite a sight to see. Finally she saw that he wasn’t moving, and stopped. She stood cockily, waiting for her trainer to announce the pokemon’s defeat. Imagine her surprise when the Pachirisu actually stood up and faced his opponent. While the Pichu had thought he had been defeated, he had secretly activated a Bide attack. Now that the two turns was over, his electricity crackled more powerfully then ever. He had stood there against the electric attacks, while absorbing all the electricity and energy that was being put into them. His eyes flashed happily, as he was the one that darted forward. Placing his paws to pin the Pichu down, he let loose a powerful Thunder attack! The attack was enormous, using both his power and combined with the Pichu’s own power! By the time he was finished, the Pichu lay on the ground unconscious. The Pachirisu had barely been able to defeat the Pichu, but intelligence and quick thinking led to his success. Proudly, he leapt onto Kisumi’s shoulder, his chest puffed out slightly.

The cake owner laughed, smiling. “Excellent battle, my young squirrel friend. Seems my Pichu still has a lot to learn. Accept this cake free of charge, and I look forward to meeting you again.”
Kisumi gave her thanks and walked out of the shop, chattering to her Pachirisu and praising his efforts immensely and repeatedly. The girl left the city, riding on her bike back towards the outskirts of Celadon City. There she delivered all of her items to the eagerly awaiting parents, received her pay and left. Today had been a fun, challenging and exciting day. But just like any day, all good things have to end eventually. With that, she biked back towards Team Aqua Headquarters to type up the success of her newest mission.

MISSION- Party Quirks
We needs party stuff for our party this Saturday! So your mission is to go and get us party stuff! But watch out, we aren't the only people who want to have a party!
(You will fight 3 other party people)

Pokemon:
Gulpin
Scyther
Magby

Funds upon completion:
1000-2100

Items:
Ultraball x3

On a long mission like this, one of the things I need to check is how many pokemon are used. More than once I've had to fail a mission because someone used seven pokemon without visiting a PC. I only count five for you, so that doesn't apply, but it's something to be aware of for future missions.

Moving on. I did notice a few problems with the mission. For one, you don't have a contract with CC, so why even attempt Geass? Plus, the power of Geass manifests differently for each person so you wouldn't get the same ability as Lelouch. Second, you need to keep type matchups in mind. Zen Headbutt (Psychic) can't hurt Poochyena (Dark). Neither can Shadow Ball (Ghost) hurt Skitty (Normal). Finally, you didn't get any ice cream!

In the face of such a brilliantly written mission, I can hardly hold an isolated case of mis-typed attacks against you. The other battles were good (but Flare Blitz doesn't burn the user - and fire types can't be burnt) and the story is fantastic. It's too bad you opted not to catch anything.

Pass. 2000 PD. Three Ultra Balls.
Where on earth are the Tier 2-3 members? They should see missions like this too.

Max was lounging around one day in Aqua HQ. After getting into Team Aqua he hadn't had much to do. Then his pocket vibrated. He took out his TADS and noticed he had a new message about a mission. He was to go to Littleroot and kidnap a Pokemon from the research laboratory there. “Easy enough.” he muttered under his breath and set out for Littleroot town.

Max arrived in Littleroot a little before dusk. He decided that now was the perfect time to go and scope out the place for his mission. He went to the laboratory of a man named Prof. Birch, a leading Pokemon expert. He walked into the lab and looked around. Seeing as there was still light he had no reason to be suspected of anything. He was just another teen looking around in a Pokemon Laboratory. He walked over to one window and opened it. He quickly looked around for something small and preferably metal.

He spotted a paper clip on the desk near him. He went and grabbed the paper clip and jammed it in the hinge of the window. Now it wouldn't shut all the way and he had his way to break in ready. As he was leaving a Torchic eyed him curiously. “You.” he said before leaving the laboratory.

Night settled in and Max waited for things to die down. When the streets were empty he made his way into the laboratory through the window he had rigged earlier. He found the Torchic he saw sleeping and grabbed it quickly, sprinting out the window. When he thought he was free the Torchic woke up, very angry. It bite Max and he dropped the Torchic.

“Look's like you want to do this the hard way huh?” Max asked quizzically. He tossed a Pokeball and Totodile appeared. “Ready...Use Bite!” he said. Totodile launched himself at the Torchic, but the Torchic moved out of the way, counterattacking with a Peck.

Totodile turned furiously on the Torchic snapping his jaws at it like crazy. The Torchic dodged the frantic snaps with easy. “Totodile enough playing around, Use Water Gun!” Max said. Totodile snapped out of his rage and blasted the poor fire Pokemon with a jet of water.

Torchic took the blast head on, though clearly weakened. He tried to land a kick on the Totodile but failed. “Use Scratch.” Max said. Totodile jumped at the Torchic and scratched him over and over again. He was very weak from the Water Gun earlier and it was taking Torchic everything he had to hold on.

Unfortunatly for Torchic, it collapsed, clearly defeated. Max threw a Pokeball. It moved a few times and then laid still. He scooped up the Torchic and headed back to Aqua HQ.

MISSION- A Planner for a Scanner
Any Team Aqua member is asked to go to the Abandoned Ship and get the scanner.
The scanner should be near the back of the ship, but some of the passageways may be flooded.

Back at the HQ Max was taking a nap on a couch in the main room. When his TADS buzzed he jumped , startled, and fell off the couch onto his defenseless Totodile. Totodile responded with a rather unappreciative bite. Max rolled away quickly, not taking any chances to get bit again. “Geez Totodile it was an accident!” he said. He quickly reached into his pocked at pulled out his TADS.

There is an Abandoned Ship somewhere in the Ocean near Dewford Town. There is a scanner in the ship that Team Aqua needs. Go to the ship and retrieve the scanner.

Over and Out

Max read the text and snapped his TADS shut. He looked over at Totodile and said “Time for another mission.” He walked over to the Teleporter with both of his Pokeballs strapped to his belt. Totodile and Sneasel were his companions for this mission. The Teleporter dinged and they were off to Dewford Town.

Arriving in Dewford Town Max looked around and couldn't see the boat anywhere near the coast. He asked around in town, seeing if he could find any information about the ship. One fisherman turned out exceedingly helpful.

“Yer lookin' fer the old Abandoned ship?” he asked in his sailoeresque voice. “It ain't but a few miles of the coast to the east. If ye got a Pokemon that could swim ya out there ye'd be there in no time.”

Max sighed knowing that he would have to use his Aqua bike to ride all the way there. He thanked the man for the information, walked to the shore, got out his bike, and started pedaling. About an hour and a half later of non stop biking, he arrived at the Abandoned Ship.

He got off his bike and put it away, seeing as he would need it later. He walked into the ship and looked around. It was pretty beat up and he could definitely see why they had abandoned it. There was no way you could repair this. He started heading towards the back of the ship, considering that is where they would keep their equipment.

He was almost to the back of the ship when the floor under him started creaking. He dove backward and tumbled back onto his feet. The floor exploded upward revealing a Wailmer. Max smirked. “So you wanna make this harder for me huh?” He asked sarcastically.

Max reached onto his belt and grabbed Sneasel's pokeball. “This should be enough to handle you.” he said snidely. He threw the ball and Sneasel appeared in a red beam. “Sne-Sneasel” it said.

“Alright Sneasel use Slash!” he said. Sneasel lurched at the Pokemon with his claws raised menacingly. He went to slash as the Pokemon blasted him with a Water Gun. Sneasel hit the floor and bounced a few times before landing at Max's feet. It got up and shook the water off of itself.

“Sneasel Sneasel!”

“Okay this time try Quick Attack!” he said as Sneasel started jumping from wall to wall before landing in front on the Wailmer. The Wailmer did something that appeared to be a smirk and blasted Sneasel with a Water Pulse. Sneasel went flying back and this time barely got back up.

“Sneasel Use Shadow Ball!” he said. Sneasel launched a Shadowball from his hands that impaled the Wailmer. It shook of the attack like it was nothing. He sent another Water Gun that Sneasel dodged this time around.

“Good Job Sneasel.” Max said trying to hype Sneasel up.

“Sneasel Use Dark Pulse!” he said. As Sneasel started his Dark Pulse the Wailmer started using Water Pulse.

“Uh oh.” Max uttered before both Pokemon used their attacks. The result was a mass of smoke that filled the hallway.

“Quick go through the smoke and use Slash!” Max said. Sneasel disappeared in the smoke and reappeared on the other side to a very surprised Wailmer. Sneasel slashed the defenseless creature and jumped back to Max's side.

“Sne-Sne-Sneasel.” it said. He looked up for Max's approval as it got blasted with another Water Gun. Max turned to look at Sneasel and saw that he was clearly defeated. He returned the Sneasel and looked at the Wailmer harshly.

“Totodile I chose you!” he said as he released his Totodile. “To-To-Dile!” it said getting ready to fight.

“Break through the boards, swim, and Bite!” he said. Totodile jumped up and dived through the boards. Wailmer looked around, confused, wondering where Totodile went. Totodile crashed upward through the boards and snapped his jaws down on the Wailmer. The Wailmer let out a wail of pain and flung Totodile back, who landed on his feet.

“Okay let's finish this! Use Crunch!” Max said, clearly ready for this fight to be over. Totodile ran at the Wailmer, who used Water Gun to try and blast Totodile away. Totodile jumped and dodged the attack and started running on the wall. He flipped over and Crunched down on the Wailmer. Wailmer slouched over, defeated. Max threw a Pokeball and after a bit of shaking it stood still. He picked it up and looked at it.

“You were a pain.” he said slyly.

He jumped over the hole made by the Wailmer and continued on his way to the back of the ship. He came across a room with a bunch of equipment in it. He looked around until he saw the scanner. “Gotcha.” he said grabbing it and throwing it in his bag. He wiped the sweat from his forehead, left the ship, and headed back to Aqua HQ.

First off: For simplicity's sake, it's best to only have 1 ungraded mission at a time to protect yourself from errors in one not passing. It also makes it easier on the graders, as they're use to one person working on one mission at a time.

Though clearly Anime styled battling, I would like to see more attacks hit Totodile, it just seems that it is dodging almost everything Torchic throws at it. I would also like to see future mission expanded more in terms of plot. This length is okay for a level 1 mission, but some missions will require a very heavy plot.

It's a very decent first mission however, so I'll let you keep the Torchic and the 300 PD.

Another good mission, and much more plot heavy than the previous. I would suggest a quick run through of the mission once more to catch and grammatical errors and such. Keep the Wailmer and the 400 PD.

Mission - Night Raid on Devon

Objective: Any Team Aqua member is asked to go to Devon Corp's Nintendo Store and steal 50 DS units. But you must not be seen be anyone. Beware there are 10 guards in the building. You must enter the building. Then make your way to level 3 were the DS’s are. But get them quickly and return back. All the units are in one box.

Mission Level:
One

Zigzagoon
Voltorb
Duskull

I was fast asleep, until there was beeping form my TADS. “Wait...” I muttered, flinging my hand around until I laid it on the source of the beeping noise. “Hi...” I said, sleepily. “Sorry,” said a husky voice, a voice of a team aqua member to be sure. I smiled. “I know this is a bit late,” the voice continued. I was outraged. “LATE? It’s 2 in the mornin’!” He ignored me. “Well, it’s the best time, and you’re the nearest member. We need you too steal 50 DS units, they are all in one box on the 3rd floor of the Devon Corp’s Nintendo Store. There are 10 guards and YOU CAN’T BE SEEN!” The line went dead. “Bye, I guess!” I shouted down the receiver.

“Piplup!” I shouted, waiting by the teleporter with my pack and bike. My friend came waddling down in her little dressing gown and eye mask, looking very angry. She glared at me. “Don’t get angry, I have a mission from team aqua, and unfortunately, we need to go now...” Piplup waddled back upstairs muttering.

We set off. Just my luck to go on holiday in boring Rustboro, but I still love getting a mission. “He we are!” There was a guard circling the area. I picked up a pebble and through it at a dustbin, away from the doors, and like I thought, he went to investigate the noise. “Come on!” I whispered. We ran into the building. I had got my DS from here. 'Why am I stealing some?’ I thought, but carried on. Getting to the next floor was easy but on the 2nd floor was no less than 6 guards all with houndooms except one who had a little houndour. I knew the old dustbin trick wouldn’t work this time.

I didn’t need to do anything, as it turned out. The houndooms suddenly ran off wildly to a room except the houndour, who ran in the opposite direction. I followed the houndour and found him eyeing a dustbin where something was moving. I realized I couldn’t let the houndour leave and show his owner where we were. I pressed my ear to the door and heard some voices. “Stupid things thought they smelt something... wait. Where’s my houndour?” We only had a couple of minutes at most. “Go Piplup, use bubble beam!” I commanded. A huge spurt of bubbles hit houndour in it’s chest making fall back, but he managed to recover and used bite, flinging Piplup into the air like a toy. She landed on the floor with a thud. Piplup looked angry.

Piplup charged at houndour without command. “Fury attack,” I muttered. He charged at the houndour with such force it was knocked to the ground, fainted. “Wow you have a temper” I told Piplup, cuddling her. I had forgotten about the noise in the bin. I turned around and saw a little Zigzagoon, trembling. He must have been hiding in the dustbin. He looked hurt, so the houndour must have already attacked him. I through my Pokeball at him, and it wriggled a few times... yes! It was caught!

I carried on. I managed to climb the next flight of stairs without any difficulty - then I saw the box…and 3 more guards all with houndoom again, great! What should I do? A Pokeball in my pocket trembled and I realised it was like Zigzagoon wanted to tell me something. I quietly sent Zigzagoon out and before I showed myself he started running into the crowded room. Darting around so fast I could hardly see him and down the other flight of stairs - and of course all the guards followed. I crept in and grasped the box, it was heavy. How could I run back down two flights of stairs with this?

Piplup managed to capture the box in a bubble and I spotted… an elevator. Piplup and I stared at each other, exasperated. We ran into the lift and just before the doors closed Zigzagoon ran in after us. The elevator pinged, we were on the first floor - then out!

We got back to HQ easily as I teleportered back in, and a Team Aqua member was there to greet me. “Got them!” I gestured towards the big floating box. “Ah, I’ve seen you’ve made a new friend, too,” he said looking at Zigzagoon. “Yeah, why did you want so many DS packs?” I asked him. He grinned sheepishly, “Um… well you were sort of doin’ my Christmas shopping!” I glared at him. “Here’s 1000 poke dollars.” He handed me a large wad of cash. “But with this money you could by twice as many as…” He ran off before I could finish though. I went back home to watch the news report about a break-in at Devon Corp, apparently they thought it was a huge muscled man with a charizard. I laughed.

First and foremost, please don't assume you'll earn anything just because you completed the mission. For all you know it could fail.

Aside from that if you think about it from a logical perspective don't you think the guard(s) would have heard you calling attacks from the next room? ^^ Be careful next time, alright?

What with the Zigzagoon being hurt, I personally have no problem with buy you should at least say that "the Houndour attacked something that you couldn't exactly see" or something along those lines.

And you might want to think over your escape, I would believe their would be guards on the first floor, but I won't count it against you, especially since this is your first mission, or so I believe.

All in all it was an interesting way to go about the mission. I liked the box in the bubble, it made me chuckle. Keep the Zigzagoon, and the 1000 PD.

MISSION- Fair thee Well, Slowpoke!

Azalea Town is getting ready for a festival in honor of Slowpoke. However, they need a Slowking for the opening ceremony. Kurt was supposed to go catch one, but he's hurt his back and can't go.

Your mission is to go to the Slowpoke Well and catch a Slowpoke. Once you have one, take it to either Kurt or Bugsy, the town's Gym Leader. They'll reward you for your work.

Pokemon:
Any Basic-stage Bug-type, if you trade Slowpoke to Bugsy.

Items:
5 of any kind of Ball (Except Aqua Ball, Master Ball or Luxury Master Ball), if you give Slowpoke to Kurt.

Reward:
P$600

Max was lounging around Aqua HQ playing with Ripley, his Riolu. They were boxing to help Ripley with his reflexes. Max went for a jab that Ripley dodged and then Ripley kicked Max in the shin and Max went down. Ripley jumped on Max. “Ok..ok you win Ripley.” Max said patting the little blue jackal on the head. He got up and grabbed a towel, wiping his forehead clean of sweat. He set the towel down and went to get a bottle of water, when his TADS vibrated. He dove for it like a bat outta hell, he was anxious for a new mission. Ripley jumped on his head and read the message with him.

Your mission is to go to the Slowpoke Well and catch a Slowpoke. Once you have one, take it to either Kurt or Bugsy, the town's Gym Leader. They'll reward you for your work.

Max slapped his TADS shut and bounded to his feet, Ripley still on his head. “Read for your first mission Ripley?” he asked. “Ri-Riolu.” was the excited response. Max got a change of clothes, grabbed all the necessary equipment, and headed throught the Teleporter, going to Azalea Town.

He got out of the teleporter and was immediately bombarded with noises and smells. The festival was getting ready for the Slowpoke festival and that is why they needed the Slowpoke that Max was after. He looked around for awhile and found Kurt, the man who was originally supposed to go and get the Slowpoke.

“Hello Kurt. I'm Max.” Max said casually. Kurt turned and saw that Max was from Team Aqua so he assumed he was the sap, I mean lucky member, sent to get a Slowpoke.

“Hello Max, you're here to get the Slowpoke I'm guessin'” Kurt said.

Max nodded in agreement. “Yup, Just need you to show me to the well and then we can get this party goin', literally.” Kurt chuckled and signaled for Max to follow him.

Max followed Kurt to the well where to Slowpoke were supposed to be. Hence why they called it Slowpoke Well. Anyways.....

“I was supposed to go down there and get 'er but I threw out ma back.” he said leaning backwards and producing a rather loud cracking sound. He chuckled it off.

“Well don't worry Kurt, I'll go down there and get you the best Slowpoke you have ever seen. Or just a regular Slowpoke.” Max said with a grin. He liked being funny. Max jumped down the hole and landed on his feet at the bottom. When he looked up he realized it was only about a 7 foot drop.

“Be back later sonny!” Kurt said and went back to the town to help with preparations.

Max brushed the dirt off his pants and headed deeper into the well. He called out Torchic, who he told to use Ember and hold it in his mouth to light the cavern. He walked through until he heard some rocks shuffle. He signaled for Torchic to kill the fire and follow him slowly.

They came upon a Slowpoke who was just sitting there, either lost in thought of his thoughts were lost, Max could not tell. “It's just a Slowpoke, we can handle this.” he said to Torchic, who nodded in agreement.

“Use Peck!” Max said to announce his first move. Torchic sailed through the air and Pecked the Slowpoke, who still didn't even know other beings were in the well. The Slowpoke turned.

“Slow?” it said. It looked at the Torchic angrily and used Water Gun and blasted it into the wall.

“Torchic!” Max said and returned Torchic. Being a fire Pokemon that really had to hurt. “You were very helpful.” he said before grabbing another Pokeball and releasing Ripley.

“Riolu!” it said, getting into a fighting stance.

“The Slowpoke doesn't stand a chance. We are way too fast.” Max remarked. “Focus Punch!” he said.

Riolu ran in a zigzagged line, confusing the Slowpoke slightly, jumped, and Punched the Slowpoke right on the top of the head, scoring a critical hit. The Slowpoke tried using Rollout and it hit Riolu, but for minimal damage considering how weak the Slowpoke was.

“Finish it with Force Palm!” Max said. Riolu already had the Slowpoke right there so he used Force Palm and knocked it right against the wall. As it tried to get up Max used his last Pokeball.

Wiggle,
Wiggle,
Wiggle...Ding!

Slowpoke was captured and ready for delivery. Ripley jumped up on Max's shoulder and leaned against his head, tired. “Why don't you take a rest.” he said beaming the jackal into his ball. He grabbed the ball with the Slowpoke and exited the well.

He walked back over to Kurt's hut and knocked on the door. Kurt answered with a surprised look on his face.

“I didn't expect ya back so soon.” he said astounded.

“It wasn't much trouble.” Max said with a grin. He handed the Slowpoke over to Kurt who set it down on the table.

“Now what kinda Pokeballs ya want?” he asked.

“5 Shiny Balls please.” Max said. Kurt handed him the Shiny balls, they exchanged goodbyes, and Max teleported back to Aqua HQ.
