Vera followed Estas inside, eyes immediately scanning the room immediately for anything out of place, or dangerous. She relaxed some, leaning against the wall rather than choosing to sit. God only knew what the chairs would do, considering how walls kept appearing. She didn't comment on the other woman flinging a book at Armand, somehow not entirely surprised about the reaction the headmaster drew.

ISAAC armine Out of everything you could have done...
Ah, the one with the superiority complex. - Isaac, Estas, Vera, Lise, and Armand

Isaac chuckled as he followed Estas through the halls. There was a reason though that he didn't mind Armand so much, he was never boring. Never boring at all.

When they arrived at the conference room, Isaac only nodded at Armand. He said sit, and though Isaac planned on it, he suspected another trick. He always suspected a trick. There was always so many possibilities to do, especially in situations like this. "Hello Armand, was the whole thing with the walls really necessary?" Isaac asked as he walked closer. Following the book with his eyes as it flew by. Armand should have been able to stop it, but one never knew. Isaac grunted a little as he sat down, two chairs from Armand on his left side. "Please don't fall out from under me." Isaac thought.

(How is Isaac the thick headed one?)

Armand simply continued grinning as some force stopped the book in mid air before it hit his face. The book conveniently landed in front of him on the table.

As Isaac sat down, he would hear a complaint from under him and feel that the seat cushion was higher than it should have been. "Hey, watch where you're sitting!" Someone was already sitting in the seat, but just happened to be camouflaged in a way that it was hard to notice.

The headmaster sighed and beckoned again to Lise, Estas, and Vera to take a seat. "Really, we have much to talk about. And do check the seats before you sit on someone." He looked at Isaac and shrugged. "Walls, yes. You never know what might pop up, you know!" He winked. "The school itself has its own way of life, and we must work together for the successful ...er... display for the students." It wasn't entirely his creation after all, but there was a method to this madness.

They would start with introductions.

((For now, we can assume there are other teachers in the room. The other roleplayers can catch up this way.))

ISAAC armine Out of everything you could have done...
Oh, ha ha. - Isaac, Estas, Vera, Lise, Armand, and apparently others.

Isaac sighed as he stood up, he turned back around for a moment though. "Oh please, you know you liked it." Isaac said sarcastically as he picked another seat, this was the one closer to Armand. This quite a ways to go to go after some of the newer teachers. How did Armand get them to agree to the camouflage, how did he get them camouflaged? No amount of talent and paint could do that, that was for sure.

"Whatever..." Isaac thought as he nudged the chair, it moved too easily for there to be a person. But just to be sure he prodded the seat with his cane. No one, good. "This is all sorts of ridiculous. Why did I agree to this job again?" Isaac thought as he sat down.

(Suddenly very scared.)

What! Invisible people?!! Lise shook her head at the thought after Isaac sat on... someone. Too bad her book didn't smack Armand. He deserved it.

She sat down carefully across from Isaac and introduced herself. "I'm Lise Illumincroix..." She paused and looked at Armand. "What else are we supposed to say?"

((Erm, we all tied? O_O wink )

((Must there really be a tie? Well, Kyground, if you don't think your character is the thick headed one, vote for someone else.... and possibly break the tie.))

Estas imagined himself rolling his ever so pure eyes in the guise of Armand. He carefully nudged a chair and sat down. He would not be falling for the "heavy weighted person" prank. Last time, somone had commented that he must have weighed a ton despite his slim figure since the chair creaked and broke the moment he sat down. Obviously, someone had tampered with the object.

...the chair did not break. Estas sighed as Lise introduced herself. Apparently, it was a free for all in order.

Armand simply grinned as the others decided to take their seats carefully with the exception of Vera. "Miss, come join the rest of us at the table. We are a community banding together after all." He nodded convincingly, though judging from his attitudes, it was hard to tell if he was being sincere.

To Lise's question, he shrugged. "The subject you will be teaching and maybe a little bit about yourself." He would have said "and how you ended up here," but Armand had the inkling that Lise would have pointed at him and declared him the guilty culprit... even though it was only the short story. Everyone was here because of him in some way or form.

When Maelle had received the letter for Armand requesting her to teach, it had puzzled her. She had spent what seemed like hours just staring at it, her eyebrows furrowed, wondering if it was real, or some sort of hoax.

The letter had been brief, and had left her with many questions. In retrospect, it probably would have been more logical to simply correspond to the letter, but she had felt spontaneous, and perhaps a letter from Armand had pulled her back into her more wild and bold ways, so instead she had had decided to simply show up.

Her supposed reasoning was that if she was likely going to take the job, she might as was just show up and have all her questions answered then. But that was not the reason. She needed this job; she was greatly in debt, and with rent piling up, she was likely to loose her home as well. So she had packed her bags, and was on her way.

However, since she had arrived that morning, more questions had arose, rather then been answered. Luckily, she had stumbled into a relatively informed teacher that told her how to find her dorm, and told her about a meeting that was being held later.

Even in the confusion, the place seemed quite pleasant, but more importantly, a place she wouldn’t mind working. That was until she reached her dormitory. At first it was small things, things that could’ve been accident. Her luggage toppling over, a vase falling; just generally unlucky occurrences. But then, when she left to find the room in which the meeting would be held, it seemed as if all hell broke loose.

She had obviously dressed formally today. She always dressed nicely because of her love of fashion, so today, when she was making a first impression, she obviously dressed in one of her best dresses today. It had been a soft spring green dress, with a top that constricted the waist and a full skirt.

She had overseen its hand tailored creation from start to finish. She had chosen the green silk and secondary fabric, a white with Braemore Cartwheels in gold, that had been used to create the ruffles on the sleeves and square neckline, and the mock-slit on both the bodice and the skirt. It had been her ideal to add the gold cincher, and extra gold detailing. It was all her. That dress was her baby, like all the dresses she created. And now it was completely destroyed.

Through a series of events she didn’t care to recall, her dress had been shredded. But somehow, she ended up right outside the conference room. She opened the door slowly and silently and peeked in before shutting it in the same manner. She quickly examined herself as best she could without a mirror, and made the split decision to get rid of her petticoat, as it had been shredded too and it looked unsightly. She would rather her clean white stockings and golden slippers be shown, and her legs be revealed by some rather high tears, than keep such a ratty piece on.

She set it by the door, not thinking of when the meeting was adjourned, and readjusted the pearls and fake emeralds in her hair, which had become disheveled, before entering the room. She tried to walk in with as much dignity as one arriving late and in the condition she was in. The hardest part was avoiding looking at Armand. Right now, she wanted to strangle him. She was sure he had been behind the events that had ruined her dress. Her beautiful dress!

Even though anger was bubbling within her, she kept her composure and sat down. She wasn’t really paying attention to where she sat; she was just trying not to look as embarrassed as she felt. She hoped Armand wouldn’t mention her; maybe he wouldn’t even recognize her. But she doubted it; it had only been a year or so since they last parted ways. So she sat their, hoping and praying that her entrance wouldn’t cause some disruption.

ISAAC armine Out of everything you could have done...
This is stupid... - Isaac, Estas, Vera, Lise, Armand, Maelle, and apparently others.

Isaac glared for a moment, the silence was perfectly comfortable. "I guess I'll begin. I am Isaac Armine, and apparently I am blind to others within this room. Playing along with his games..." Isaac whispered, "Anyway, I have chosen to teach higher language. This includes advanced English, and other languages. I am here at Armand's request, though recent events have made me regret considering to agreeing to such conditions. As I am sure to bet the nice young lady who just strode in is feeling now." Isaac remained silent for a moment. "Also, never think about stealing my cane. We're all adults here, whether Armand thinks so or not, leave it be. That's all I ask, even prank-wise." Isaac only said this because he might have to go on a killing spree in order to get his cane back. And if someone went after it, he could lose his wonderful little edge. Pun intended.

(Bleh, crap post. Anyway, I had already voted. I was the first for Vera, tee hee.)

((Mosmoto, not a problem at all.

Kyground, hah... Well, now that we have a "winner," that character will be the "lucky one" later some time...))

Why mention stealing the cane? By mentioning it, he'll be more prone to it being stolen! Well, it looked like Isaac wasn't happy... and neither was the lady that had burst through the doors. A pretty lady with a poor sense of fashion. Or more likely, a sense of fashion ruined by whatever she had gone through. Estas managed to pry his eyes off staring at her whole figure as she sat down. It wasn't polite, and as a gentleman, it was unbecoming.

"Why, young lady, nice of you to join us," Estas heard Armand comment with a hint of sarcasm. "We're just doing introductions. In fact, Estas will be enlightening us next."

Estas, my name. Who told him to pick me? The Angle sighed and looked upon his companions in the room. He did not intend to be as detailed as Isaac. "Well, as Armand has kindly introduced me, my name is Estas Landry. I will be teaching Literature of the World..." For a moment, Estas inwardly cringed. He himself was still learning about the world. He had picked up the language by now, luckily. "... and I concur with Isaac."

A pretty looking lady opened the door as Isaac introduced himself. Lise blinked and looked. If she didn't know any better, she would have flat out called the new person an Angle. What happened to her clothes??? It didn't hit Lise that the girl had been through a worse set of pranks.

Lise waved at the lady and pointed to the empty seat next to her as Estas got volunteered to himself himself next.

((Yays, I'm not the "lucky" one. Finals are coming up soon for me... ))
