Yoh entered the room and looked around.Once he noticed the teacher he made a respectfull bow:
"Please forgive me for coming so late I promise it won't happen again may I please be seated!"

He was listening to Kaede and behaved nicely.

Remlik stood in the circle listening to the teacher. He could understand what she meant, but had no idea the applications of the principle. So, what do you want us to do with this? I can't speak for everyone, but i don't even know how to control my, reiryoku you called it, yet. Let alone form it into a weapon of sorts he said the voice nagging in the back of his head. His eyes scanned across the circle, taking in every detail. The voice in the back of his head, just repeated it pointlessly.

Kaede looked at John, with her eyebrows slightly raised, and replied with a voice full of doubt: "Well, it is rather strange for a shinigami to have memories of their human life... But it does happen so," she added, not quite convinced. She attempted to continue her lesson, when another Senbei student entered the open training place the class was held, and asked to be forgiven for coming late. The teacher was getting rather annoyed by students popping in from time to time, but repeated the mantra It's the first day, it's the first day, it's the first day... in her mind several times, and convinced herself that giving detentions or punishment for being late to the first lesson was pointless. She only motioned Yoh to find his place among other students, and concentrated on the class instead. As she said before, she didn't intend to repeat herself, so those that came late will just have to catch up somehow.

As Remlik voiced his concerns and complaints, miss Yui listened to him politely, and although inside her everything was boiling at his remark, she answered him perfectly calmly, not showing any sign of emotion. "To control your reiryoku is exactly what you will learn today. But first, you must know what it is, and how it is demonstrated, and some basic information about kidou in general. Normally, a part of the students won't be taking further classes in Kidou, but a basic overwiev always comes in handy when faced with your job as a shinigami." She hoped that her explanation why they had to learn so much theory before actually learning to control their power was clear and satisfying enough, and decided to proceed with the lecture.

Kaede strolled across the grassy plain in front of the students, speaking whiled she walked slowly. "So, let's continue at the point where we took our little detour. The manifestation of the reiryoku. The reiryoku, or spiritual power, can not only be used in the various ways I mentioned, but can as well be directly manifested. One of the forms of direct manifestation is what we call reiatsu, which is basically your reiryoku dispersed in air. As such, other spiritually aware beings can sense it, and estimate the level of your spiritual power; it can as well affect beings with a lower level of spiritual power in various ways." Kaede stopped with her back turned to the students, and for a brief moment, she allowed her spiritual energy to disperse into air, creating an area of highly condensed spiritual pressure around them. She wondered how the students will react to the power of her reiatsu to which they have been exposed for merely a second, but still enough to experience it briefly. However, she didn't show any sign that she was expecting something, or that she did something unusual, but merely continued her lecture after the pause.

"Another way of manifesting reiryoku, is concentrating it and shaping it into a certain form, condesing it to achieve it's full manifestation. This is what you will learn today. Any questions?" Kaede had the habit of asking that after every larger chunk of data she poured over to her students, and she developed it to see whether the students were paying attention or not in the first place; however, it soon lost it's original intention as the students actually proved to be interested in the subject, and asked well-formed questions.

Lilyth listened intently so intently that when Kaede released a bit of her spiritual pressure it made her jump. She blushed slightly but quickly regained her composure and her concentration on the teacher though she did wonder what had just happened. "How do we manifest reiryoku?" the simple question was bugging her, if they were supposed to manifest it, shouldn't they at least know how it was supposed to be done?

The wave of spiritual pressure rolled over him, knocking the breath out of him. His amulet glowed faintly and twitched on his neck. But Remlik absorbed all the information like a sponge. None besides that one He said smiling Lilyth had taken his question but it didn't matter. He moved his hair out of his face, listening intently to the teacher. He had decided this should be interesting. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

"Indeed, how do we manifest reiryoku is the question of this lesson," Kaede continued slowly, satisfied with the display of student's eagerness to learn. This year's Senbei are different. They're not just uncivilized brutes only eager to fight... I'll might have to change my opinion on the house... She continued, and even though she was restraining herself from putting emotions into her classes, an undertone of satisfaction and excitedness could be heard in her voice, something that probably none of the now former Senbei students have ever heard in her lessons. "First, I'd like to emphasize that each and every one of you has a unique kind of reiryoku; this is most obviously demonstrated through the colour of it, but it also has a temper of its own, to put it slightly poetically. What you will be required to do is this." Kaede held out her hand, and without any obvious strain, a swirling sphere of her spiritual energy condensed appeared hovering above her hand, shining in the royal blue colour of her reiatsu. "Onozuka-san, could you please do the same," she then requested of her assistant, in order to show the students two different examples of a shinigami's spiritual power.

The snowy girl scowled as the students arrived late. Her thoughts were the exact opposite of Ms. Kaede's on this little display... if it was there first class, shouldn't they have the state of mind to actually show up on time and try to make a good impression? They seemed to yet be coming so apparently not. Hearing her last name, she turned her head and nodded

"Certainly senpai"

She held her hand out at her waist and concentrated for half a second on her energies. A small ball gathered into existence over her hand radiating an intense cold and glowing dimly in the air like that of the moon's glow. Unlike Kaede's sphere, hers hung stagnant in the air, lacking any motion. She let it stay momentarily, long enough so the students could compare the two, and then snapped her hand shut.

"Sometimes the differences are odd..." she muttered to herself as her white face light up red. She wasn't the happiest about her reiatsu's chosen embodiment.

Ren nonchalantly shook her head to when Kaede Sensei had mentioned her name. She was..amazed that her teacher would actually...answer her question directly. Then again, why be in doubt? They are the teachers after all. Almost too soon, a grin pushed upon her cheek as her expectations from this class only began to rise in substantial value. Just listening was really interesting, and really she was glad she lived a human's life. It's only because she's lived through boresome ordeals, while in this one, can have many other following conflicts coming after. Conflicts, happiness, all the like. The teeth all tucked onto her jaws were being slapped by her tongue as she thought about an empty item. A missed item, a bitter twig. Earlier this morning she had one, but the wind blew it away.

Umber chocolate eyes flicked to her one eighty angle of the scenery. The wind complimenting or just teasing the lightning strides of her blonde hair, while her hands continued to comb the grass. This class almost seemed to be her favorite as the peace crawled down to the bone. That wasn't entirely an attention vulnerability, but usually it meant for her lack of care during classes. A total disrespect for the teachers that try, but nonetheless, not trying enough. Though that only lasted for a minute in trance, when some foreign energy made way around. Even if the grass couldn't feel the air's tickle, Ren did. Her reaction to this? Quite unstable. As if something within her wanted to reject this odd phenomenon. After her fingers calmly combed back her air rustled bangs, she gazed over to her classmates. Each were aware of this obviously, after Sensei announced it. When the feeling stopped to linger, her tense composure melted down. Somewhat expectant or just secure when in a class with two instructors. Though that can't be told entirely in truth whether they were or not good people.

Her interest though, was drowning with sleeping temptation, but reverted back to the target again once Niku Sensei had done her example. For reasons unknown, Renkishi could somewhat...feel the minty atmosphere. Only for a moment, just the same time that ball had disappeared. Fascinating. Beyond. Belief.

"Whoa.."

Kaede nodded to her assistant in approval, and epxressed her gratitude simply while dissolving her own energy sphere: "Thank you, Onozuka-san." Then, she continued with her explanation, starting to elaborate the details on how will the students be able to do the same. "Now, as you have seen, reiryoku varies greatly between different people. Mine, for example, is swirling withing constantly, while Onozuka-san's is perfectly still and calm - that is your energy's temper. Of course, there are other subtle differences that can be sensed with your other senses, such as slight change in temperature and even smell, but it takes a sharp sense for spiritual energy to notice them. The most obvious difference is naturally, the colour. You could have seen that mine shined in the shade of royal blue, while my assistant's was glowing faintly white, like a moon on a clear night. The colour of your spiritual energy reflects your soul; your character, your inner strength and the type of it."

With a quick glance over the students, she could read their interest in the subject from their faces, and a hardly noticeable expression of content was etched on her face. She surely didn't expect the Senbei students to be interested so much, and actually paying attention, due to their former "fame". "And now, crackers, it's your turn. First rearange yourself in a circular formation around the grounds, please." Kaede waited for a moment or two, to give them sufficient time to move themselves around her, each having enough room around himself, before she continued. "Search within you for an energy flow. Don't worry, it is there, even if you hadn't sensed it before, for otherwise you wouldn't be accepted into the Academy. Close your eyes, and focus, and when you find the energy flow, grab it gently and don't let it go. Just say "got it" when you find it, so we can proceed."

John felt Kaede's reiryoku but believed that is was a manifestation of his dementia.John's eyes opened widely when the 2 teachers showed their reiryoku, he was rather amazed to noticed the difference's between the teacher and the assistant. For a moment John felt determined and optimist about learning his reiryoku. You'd like that wouldn't you??? a voice in his head stroke him like a lighting startling him for a second. The fact that the voice screamed inside his mind didn't surprised him at all since he always heard voices but this voice was very different than before, it was one of the voice's he'd hear most of the time but this time it spoke with a tone of superiority and the message was much more clear.

Who are you!?John asked inside his head thinking this question countless times. In the same time he also aligned in position to start the exercise.
It's me don't you remember but this time I want us to have an honest conversation. You seem rather shocked to hear my real voice for the first time.He voice took a pause to leave John wondering for a second and answered in a whisper.I am that reiryoku she kept talking about...
John was shocked by the answer of the voice and wondered while sweat was falling from his hair.So you're here to help me,right?
The voice laughed hysterically. Why on earth would I wanna help you after you ignored me all these years. It took me 13 years of your pathetic life for me to become noticeable to these loser, to finally be sensed but you Johnathan you refused to listen,YOU REFUSED MY POWER!!!.You can never have it back...
John turned his head to Kaede as he wondered."Yui-sensei I was wondering since the reiryoku was a different temper what fs your very own reiryoku hates you and chooses not be wielded by you...can you force your reiryoku into submission???"

Yoh sat in the circle Kaede asked the students to make like anyone else.He didn't seem interested in the two teachers reiryoku as it would not have been the first time he felt this.
He closed his etes and started looking for the reiryoky within himself. He would concetrate so hard and intense that sweat started falling from his chin.

He could feel rather different like something was trying to touch him but that seemed rather faint so he concentrated a lot on that.

§ Axel Ryukai §

Until my last breath...

Axel arrived shortly, striding calmly into the classroom area, his feet making soft gentle sounds as his feet fell upon the grass. He was rather late, he knew this. He also knew he was likely to be punished. But on the off chance that he should make it off unscathed he would be sure to make up for it by showing knowledge on the topic he was sure he would not be expected to know. For you see, shortly before he had strode into the classroom area he had felt a small release of reiatsu. Due to his distance from its source its effects on him were minimal but it certainly caught his attention. This, of course, intrigued him and thus he stopped at the entrance of the class and began to listen. What could possibly prove more useful than to listen eh? He listened as the instructor began to continue on the topic of reiryoku and educated the present students in the grassy field. Though he had missed out on a significant amount of the lesson, he was able to grasp the gist of things, and a few questions were already formulating themselves within his head.

As Yui-sensei finished speaking, he took the break as an opportunity to present himself. Which brings us back to the present. As he walked forward his eyes drifted over the small gathering of students. He was displeased with his own lateness but he took small comfort in that he did not seem to be the last of his house to arrive. He bowed respectfully to his sensei and her assistant and instead of rudely interrupting any further with his apology for being late as he was sure the others had, he allowed a brief expression remorse and apologetic-ness to come over his face as he looked at his two instructors and mouthed silently the word "gomennasai". He filed in with the other students in a circular fashion and observed what the others were doing. He knew full well what was expected of him, for he had overheard, or more like been eavesdropping prior to entering, but words alone were not always to enough to grant one the knowledge necessary to accurately perform a certain task.

After having observed what he had believed to be a suitable amount, he followed suit and closed his eyes, allowing his mind to calm and clear itself and feel for the energy; much more subtly then attempting to delve into oneself and search for the energy, he felt for it, and allowed it to come to him as he made its way to it.

"There it is...Got it...."
He said softly, almost distantly. This much was easy enough, it wasn't exactly hard for he possessed quite a large amount of reiryoku for a student, but Axel was never too good when it came to control. At least not when it came to his spiritual power. But he could find it well enough. And he had done so within the span of a few short moments.

Lilyth watched and was intrigued by the balls of reitsu that the teacher and her assistant had produced. She wanted to do that to, she wanted to see her own energy and be able to form it into a physical ball. When they were told to take a place in the circle she did and sat down comfortably on the grass, it was easier to concentrate when she was comfortable. She draped her small arms over her legs and closed her eyes. She concentrated deeply, looking everywhere within herself for the faintess sign of her reiryoku. She did this for a few moments and was almost discouraged when she finally saw it. A faint glow deep down in her, she went towards it and it soon became bigger. When she was close enough she grabbed it gently and it began to wrap around her gently. Lilyth smiled and said "got it" softly, so softly that what she she almost couldn't be heard.

Drone she didn't, and listen she did. Even as the depths of her muddy vortexes slowy phased into deeper curiosity, her intentions of participating lessened near the zero level. Despite her lungs being in a moment of paralysis, Renkishi found herself in that subconscious state. Where everything was blocked out, slowly, splotch by splash as ever step she took to circle with the group. Despite the quiet words 'Got it' from each of them, distraction was weak.

As she entered the blank oasis of her mind, she pulled forward her right arm. Specifically her hand as her fingertips brushed against something damp. In her mind..there was an oyster. Ugly thing it was, chipped, craggy, and roughly plastered by the sea's terrible clashes between current and sand. Outside of her realm, her body was still, and her arm still raised and hand outstretched. As if there were a touchless barrier that prevented her from grasping any further. In her mind, her hand only cramped as it attempted to open the shell. By some odd figment of imagination, the salty water below her began to rise, and the undulating sand wrapping it's scratchy entity around her legs. She was bound now. The moment her eyes took notice of the ground, she looked back up at the oyster shell. That itself, floated above and warped into the cavern's rift.

Next, it was final at that point. Te end. Bye-bye mystery, and hello tsunami. One so direct as it purged into the misty cavern. When her eyes were open from the mental splash affect, it was but the gentle wind that slapped across her face. It made her think really, as she was viewing all her classmates, why she couldn't open the shell. What she had done to prevent herself from even catching up to the shell. And how unbelievably real it seemed to be. Quiet eyes finally shut themselves away. A bit dissapointed as she knew she wouldn't be able to try again any sooner. Almost as if her karma was taken over by the melancholy wraith, she walked a step out of the circle. Too irritated to view the beautiful, rainbow half the class demonstrated. How she may have wished to be a part of that beautiful rainbow.

". . ." As apathetic as she can get, Renkishi said no word and only looked away in disdain. Her mood feeling just as isolated as her body's limiters.

Kaede was watching the students take their place obediently, while another Senbei student stumbled in the middle of the lesson. She only nodded at him to aknowledge his apology, and sighed quietly in disapproval. However, her annoyance soon dispersed when she noticed he obviously knew well what they were attempting to achieve, and proved to be one of the first ones to locate his spiritual energy.

The teacher walked slowly among the students, watching them as they struggled, and giving enouraging comments. As she passed Yoh, she could see sweatdrops on his face, and she spoke to him calmly: "Don't struggle too hard. Let the power find you, and flow to you." She lifted her gaze as she heard two silent "got it", and located the speakers as the late student and Lylith. "Ioma-san and... Ryuukai-kun, well done. Now try to keep control over it, but don't grab it too tighly, just let it flow gently." She didn't want them too ahead of other students, so she would just make them maintain their control - after all, that still proved to be quite a challenge for most.

Suddenly, a student stood up and left the circle. As she watched Ren divert her gaze, distant memories of her own academy days overwhelmed Kaede. How she would always struggle to succeed, but never really did. How she was always left out. How she could never match her schoolmates' skill, no matter how hard she tried - only that wasn't the Kidou class; the Hand-to-hand combat class was the one she could never master. All she ever managed to accomplish was the minimum to graduate, and she had been always shunned for that - a captain, and later a teacher, so weak in hand-to-hand. The old, long-forgotten feelings of being inadequate, of failure, stirred in her again as she approached the student. "Sanabi-san, is something wrong...?" she asked silently, not sure how to express her concern.
