Roku smiled back at her. "Well I like to take walks, especially by the beach on a moonlight night, but...that might sound a bit corny." He lightly blushed at what he just said.

Ara blinked. Surprised at his answer and reaction. "What is corny about moonlit walks along the beach. It's romantic but I wouldn't say it was corny. It sounds like lots of fun. Perhaps you will go on one with me?" she ventured, wanting to do something he liked.

Roku was a bit surprised that she wouldn't mind. "Um...ok." He got up and headed off towards the beach. "So...you really don't mind this?"

Ara blinked and looked at him confused. "Why would I mind? It sounds like a good time. Just because a lot of people like to do it doesn't mean it's corny. I like the idea to be perfectly honest. I really do. So please, do not worry about it."

Roku nodded his head while turning the other way and blushing in slight embarrassment at the thought, plus he did think she was rather a pretty fox. Would it be alright to fall in love with her even though his old mate died? He wouldn't mind it, but what would other foxes think of him. "Um...ok." He turned his head back towards her. "So...what type of foods do you like?"
(ok...just because I want this to go a bit quicker, I'm going to make Roku to start to admire her)

Ara blushed. "Well, I do like to hunt a little. I like meat, always have. Rabbits are probably my favorite but I do feel bad during the kill sometimes. Though I don't my berries and such. I have a friend who is a vegetarian. What about you? What do you like to eat?" she asked, wanting to know about him.

Roku chuckled nervously. "Well...that all depends. I like to eat rabbit and squirrel mainly, although fish is good sometimes." He sighed at himself for acting like a complete idiot. "Um...don't you think moonlight walks are supposed to be for lovers?" He bit his lip not sure of what to say next since it was a bit awkward.

Ara blushed, "I guess so, but I think close friends could do so too." Ara suddenly felt self-concious and wondered why she was blushing. Was she falling for this fox? How could she do that to him when he had lost his wife and family? But also, how could new love be bad? This was all confusing to Ara and she was worried because she did not want to hurt Roku.

Roku gulped a bit nervous. "Um...well do you want me to talk about something else besides on the topic of romance. It seems to be making us both nervous." He sighed disappointed at himself. Would he be allowed to fall for someone like her. "It's just...I'm not sure where I stand anymore...I had a family that I loved to death, but yet walking with you and getting to know you reminds me of her all the more....is it..." He cut himself off again. "Did you ever have any male try to propose to you?"

Ara blushed and shook her head no. His words confused her. It was as if he was falling in love with her just as she was falling in love with him. But maybe she was just imagining things as she wanted them to be and he was just being friendly. She needed to be careful or she would get her heart hurt quite easily. "No, I haven't. I haven't hung out with many males outside of the mansion, and most I grew up with." she explained.

Roku sighed a bit upset at himself. "I-I'm sorry...I shouldn't be asking such personal matters." He looked out towards the sea. "It's beautiful out tonight...isn't it?"

Ara laughed. "Do not worry. When you live with a lot of people, personal matters are never personal. And yes, it is such a beautiful night." she murmured as she gazed up at the stars. It made her feel safe inside and happy to be standing there gazing at the stars with Roku.

Roku wondered if he should try to make any mooves on her, but yet...he couldn't she was his friend, but yet...would there be more eventually? He sighed. "Yeah..." He looked up at the stars as well. "Well...if you don't mind me asking...what do you think of me?"

Ara stopped and looked down at him at the question. It was a few moments before she answered. "Well, I like you. Probably a lot more than I should considering what has happened to you. But then again, maybe that is why I like you so much. It is all very confusing." she sighed and looked up at the stars again. "I don't want to hurt you, you've been hurt enough as it is."

Roku turned his head the other way so she wouldn't see how badly he was turning red with embarrassment. "Oh...really? That's n-nice...I uh...I..." What the heck was his problem? Why was it so hard for him to utter those words. "Um...would it sound wrong if I said the same thing about you?"
