ZAFT ZGMF-601R GuAIZ R Description: A minor update to the GuAIZ introduced in the last stages of the previous war. Its R designation stands for Reinforced. Instead of the extensional arrestors of the original version, the GuAIZ R is armed with a pair of railguns for greater medium-range firepower, and the dual beam claw in its shield has been replaced by a single beam saber. This upgraded machine served as the main mobile suit of the ZAFT forces until the introduction of the ZAKU series. WING GUNDAM ZERO
Designed fifteen years ago - but never actually constructed - by the same scientists who sent the five Gundams to Earth, this immensely powerful mobile suit is the ancestor of all the Gundams. Whereas the five later Gundams were made for use on Earth, the Wing Gundam Zero is designed for space combat. It can transform into a "neo bird mode," and is armed with a twin buster rifle more than twice as powerful as that of the Wing Gundam. With its superb performance and immense firepower, this antique design would surely be the ultimate Gundam... were it ever built.

Gundam Geminass 01 &02 Pilot:Odin Bernett 01, Odel Bernett Description: In AC 195, five teenaged boys use Gundam mobile suits to wage a guerilla war against OZ and their oppression of the space colonies. Far removed from this conflict, new Gundam type mobile suits are being secretly constructed at the mobile suit factory asteroid MO-V. Developed by Dr. Berg, the OZX-GU01A Gundam Geminass 01 and OZX-GU02A Gundam Geminass 02 represent a change in mobile design philosophy. These two Gundams (or G-UNITs) are modular in construction, allowing them to change nearly every part to adapt to specific environments. Aside from the modular design, the G-UNITs also feature another new innovative feature: the PX system. The PX system takes advantage of the increased adrenaline a pilot feels during combat and also increases the performance of the mobile suit. However, the PX system has a time limit which if passed has serious consequences for both the pilot and the suit. Gundam Atrea Pilot(s): Ruido Resonance, Chall Acustica Description: A prototype mobile suit, which serves as the intermediary design between the 1st-generation GN-000 0 Gundam and the 3rd-generation GN-001 Gundam Exia. It is a testbed for a number of experimental technologies, incorporated in pursuit of a greater general utility versus the 0. The GN Drive control mechanism differs from that of 0 Gundam, and benchmarks with both higher output and higher instability. The two ear-like protrusions that extend backwards from the sides of the head structure appear to be a design feature unique to the Astraea, but their purpose is thus far unknown. In AD 2292 (00P), when Astraea was initially introduced, its paint scheme is white with blue and red highlights. By AD 2307 (15 years later, 00F) in the 00 continuity, the unit has been enhanced and renamed as GNY-001F Gundam Astraea Type F; the scheme has been altered to red with grey highlights, and the face has been covered with a black mask, in order to disguise the fact that it is a gundam. A second sensor shield is mounted on its right rotatable shoulder dock, but no weapons are presently known to be equipped. The unit remains incapable of active participation in combat. Later, the Sadalsuud shows the ability to use the same kind of Sniper Rifle that Dynames used before. Gundam Abulhool Pilot: Fon Spark (aka Roback Stadd, Jr.) Description: Fighter Mode:Gundam Abulhool's fighter mode resembles to a F-22 Raptor, fast and highly maneuverable. Abulhool alone has only GN Vulcans for dog-fighting, but it can carry missile pods (seen in the manga). The nose of its fighter form has head for visual sensors. One feature that the Abulhool possesses that makes it unique among the Gundam units is that it has a secondary propulsion system that utilizes plasma jets instead of the standard GN vernier. This is likely a feature installed to help hide the fact that Abulhool is a Gundam when in fighter jet mode. Mobile Suit Mode:Abulhool's melee combat capabilities are limited to only kicks and relying on it's weapon(s) packages for defense/offense. Abulhool is the only mobile unit with two heads. The chest area of Abulhool is also the nose in its fighter jet form, there the extra head can provide additional sensory data for the pilot to use. Gundam Plutone Pilot(s): Fon Spark (aka Roback Stadd, Jr.), Chall Acustica Description: It sports a number of armor-plated devices fed by partially external conduits linked to the back of the GN Drive. Openings in the plates reveal several GN condensers, notably on the unit's shoulders, hips, and elbows. There are also vents on either side of both legs. The purpose of this equipment is to create GN field. The Plutone is also equipped with a core fighter that contains the Solar Furnace when detached from the suit. Currently known armaments include a GN beam rifle, a large GN shield,two GN beam sabers, and the ability to generate a GN-Field. The Plutone is also the first Gundam to make use of the GN Composite Armor and a GN field that would encircle the whole unit. Mercurius Shuivan Pilot: Luna Armonia Description: Like the Mercurius, The Mercurius Shuvian was designed with defensive strategy in mind, and was armed with a small beam spray gun and a large shield, called a "Assault Shield Defensor," which had a powerful beam saber integrated into it. It was also equipped with a set of twenty planet defensers, which were small disc-shaped objects which projected an energy shield to protect the Mercurius or another mobile suit(s) from virtually any attack. The shield is powerful enough that it could even block a shot from XXXG-00W0 Wing Gundam Zero buster rifles, but a subsequent shot would would prove too much for it. They were stored in a rack on the back of the Mercurius, where they were charged by the suit's reactor. Both the Mercurius Shuvian and Vayeate Shuivan were used as testbeds for the OZ-00MS2B Tallgeese III. As the Mercurius and Vayeate were painted red and blue respectively, Mercurius Shuivan was painted in all white while Vayeate Shuivan was painted in black with red accents. Vayeate Shuivan Pilot: Solis Armonia Description: Whereas the Mercurius Shuvian was designed as a defensive mobile suit, the Vayeate Shuvian was designed primarily as an offensive unit. The Vayeate Shuvian, built on the same basic frame as its Mercurius twin, was armed with two large beam cannons. These cannons were designed to provide a damaging blow almost equivalent to that of the XXXG-01W Wing Gundam's powerful buster rifle. To overcome the problem of the buster rifle's limited charge, the scientists designed a large energy collector, providing the Vayeate's beam cannon with a virtually limitless "ammunition" charge.
