"I's not lyin'!" he said to Sammi, crinkling his nose.
The boy readily clasped Alome's hand with his own frigid palm, quite used to being lead around. Still, he moved slowly, stepping carefully to make sure there were no rocks or roots or anything else to trip him up. He hated falling. It was understandable, though- the ordeal was scary enough for a kid that could see, let alone one that had no way of knowing what was coming up.
He plunked down near the water. Frogs? That sounded interesting enough! Maybe if he could figure out what the frogs smelled like and sounded like...he could try and catch his own! Even if he couldn't catch his own, he was still curious as to what these 'frogs' were.
"Yeah! I wanna see da fwoggies!" he said excitedly.
While he waited for the creature, he pulled off his shoes and socks, scooting closer and closer to the water carefully until he was close enough to plop his feet into the pond. Oh, that felt nice! He giggled happily, kicking his feet and wiggling his toes.

Although Alome flew around most of the time, she did stilll wear shoes, deciding that she'd rather have her feet safe. She sat down beside her new Zombie friend, letting go of his hand to pull off her own shoes.
"Fwoggies are so cute~ The go hop hop hop and go 'RIBBET" she continued to raddle on, before slipping into the shallow water, reaching out for Todd's hands once more. "I put gloves on okay?" She smile kindly, gently slipping the gloves onto the other's pale cold hands. "Now when I give you froggie, dun't hold too tight, but don't let go. Okay?"
Alome slipped a little more into the water, searching eagerly for a small frog, "I got one!!" She gently scooped up a tiny frog and waddled over to Todd, holding the frog up to his nose. "Can Toddy smell it?"

Todd allowed the girl to put on the gloves, though he didn't much like them and he frowned down at his hands. Why wear gloves? You couldn't feel things as good! So what if frogs gave you warts (granted, his nonchalance likely stemmed from the fact he had no idea what warts were to begin with)?
He heard the slosh of water as the girl wandered back off and into the pond. The zombie wiggled excitedly at the impending prospect of new information. When the girl returned, he twitched his nose. Oh, he could smell it. He leaned back a little- it didn't smell too good. And then, rather suddenly. He leaned back forward and snatched the frog from the girl's hands. With his mouth. The frog dangled from his mouth, kicking wildly. Todd was careful not to use his teeth (that would be biting and biting wasn't good, right?), even if it was terribly hard to exercise such control.
He spat the frog out quickly though. Gross! It tasted as bad as it smelled. "Yucky. I don't think I wike th' fwoggies."

Alome let out a startled yelp as the frog was suddenly snatched from her, falling back into the water with a loud splash. "Owie.." She whimpered, rubbing her backside with her hands. The water did break her fall a bit, but the rockyness in the reeds still stung her. And now she was covered in mud and little bits of plants that had fallen from the trees above.
Once she recovered from her initial fall, she reallized what had happened. "BAD TODD!! NO EAT DA FWOGGIE!!" She wailed, picking up the frog and holding it close to her chest, sniffling. The frog wasn't happy about this just as much as he disliked being 'eaten' by a zombie toddler. It kicked and struggled against Alome, sending a webbed foot into her face, and she dropped it, watching it hop into the murky waters and swim away.
The little kirin child continued to cry, struggling out of the water, slipping down a few times, becoming dirtier and dirtier. "Toddy.." She sniffed, standing infront of him, though she still was just a little taller than him standing up. "Why you t-twy to eat fwoggie.. Fwoggie hate us now.."

For the first time in Samantha's short life, she was being ignored. The halfling was so used to being spoiled, so used to being center of attention along with her sister, that this caused a serious blow to her ego. She sat down on the grass, and folded her arms. Fine, if they didn't want to play with her. Fine. She didn't care.
But the truth was, she did. Alome had been stolen away, by a boy who probably had cooties, though he claimed not to. He probably had them, and just didn't know it.. It wasn't fair. She wanted to play too. And so thinking, the usually bright eyed toddler began to cry. "Not fair, not fair!" She cried. "I wan play too!"
Why was she invisible? Why didn't other people notice she was there, wanting to play too? It wasn't fair. Not fair not fair not fair! She didn't seem to notice that Alome was upset as well, no. She was too focused on herself. And as every toddler knows, crying is a good way to get attention.

Jaella blinked, turning her head toward the sad sounds. Oh my, what was wrong? Jae left the adult, the conversation forgotten as she went to check on the younger girl. "Sammi, don't cry...." she said, kneeling down to the girl's level, petting the girl's head in a feeble attempt to soothe the child.

Sammi looked up, blinking. She clearly hadn't expected to be noticed by anyone. Her arms went around Jaella, and she hugged the teen. "I inbisible, Jae," she sniffled. "No one wan play wiff me. I all alone." She had the typical one sided toddler logic. If she had been invisible, one would think that Jaella wouldn't have been able to notice her. Do you think this crossed Sammi's mind? Not a chance.
"Not fair.." She muttered, before looking up at Jaella. "Ooo wan play wiff me, Kitty?" She asked hopefully. Kitty wouldn't ignore her. Kitty was her friend.

Jaella blinked, giving the tan toddler a return hug. "You're not invisible, Sammi." she said softly. "I can see you. And I'm here, so you aren't alone." She offered a small smile. "Of course I want to play, Sammi! What do you want to play?" She stood up, picking the little girl up. Wow, this "cheering up people" thing was easier than she thought!

Todd backed up quickly a few steps when the girl shrieked at him, tripped over a small rock and likewise falling onto his butt. He scrambled upright, hearing the girl approach. His own lip was trembling (he didn't like being yelled at! He was just curious!) and his sightless eyes were starting to water. He sniffled and pouted.
"Don't yell!" he said. "I wasn't gonna eat it! Fwoggie tastes gwoss anyways!" he said defensively. "I was just cuwious..."

Alome felt bad. Really bad. She just shouted at her newest and only boy-friend, and even worse, he was bigger than she was. With a cooing voice, she gently went over to him, taking his hand and sitting on him. "I.. I sowwys, Toddy.. I.. I got's scared cause I tought dat you were gonna eat him.."
She let out a soft whimper, nuzzling his chest a bit, her damp wings fluttering back and forth in a meager attempt to dry them off. "So.. What did the fwoggies taste like..?"

He pulled his hand away and tugged the gloves off. They were making his hands sweat and itch! He didn't care if he got warts or not at this point. He flexed and wiggled his fingers afterward, planting them in the moist grass next to him. He squiggled a bit as the smaller girl clambered into his lap. He'd never had anyone so close before! He could smell her good and for a moment...his lip twitched, flashing a little teeth.
But nothing further happened.
"Oh...s'okay dis time." he said. "I wasn't gonna eat fwoggie, weally! Just wanted t' taste him..." To her question, he stuck out his tongue and crinkle his nose. "Icky! Like mud and yuck!" he said emphatically. Ew...he wasn't gonna put frogs in his mouth anymore, no matter how hungry he got or how much he wanted to bite!

"Um.. It icky? Hows bouts chookoolate?" She hopped out of Todd's lap, rushing over to her daddy and snatching a bar out of his 'diaperbag' and rushing back over. She made her self comfy on Todd's lap again and taking the wrapper off.
"Has Toddy smelled this before? It's really yummy!! Lot yummier dan di icky fwoggy~ It taste.. Weally weally weally yummy!" Her soft voice range out in a melodious laugh, as she held up the chocolate to Todd's lips.

He wasn't quite sure how he felt about being a human (or well, undead human to be technical) chair. He half wanted to wiggle away and have his own space. He...wasn't used to having people glom all over him. Plus, having such body heat, such a flesh-smell so close was making him want to bite. Even if he wasn't fully aware of the why.
The new smell was distracting, though, and the toddler's nose twitched. Oh, he'd smelled that before, but never as close, never as pure. He took a deep breath of it. Mm, it was a nice smell.
He took the chocolate from her hands, chewing it. Hm. Hm. It was...okay. But Todd was a carnivore at heart. He liked meat and meat-flavored products the most. He outright disliked vegetables. There were some other treats he'd eat that weren't meat but...it was obvious what took priority.
"Hm. S'okay. Smells really nice." he decided with a self-agreeing nod.

Alome watched the expressions dance across Todd's face and smiled. "Good! Smell much much better den de icky fwoggies~" With a shy smile, Alome hopped off of Todd and sat beside him, shivering a bit from the chill she was getting from the cold wet clothes she was wearing.
"So.. What should we doo now..?" Her infant mind was hopping from one thing to another.. Boredom was creeping up her spine, just like the ants that marched up slowly but surely their hills.

Sammi gave a relieved look up at her friend. "See me?" She asked with a smile. "We play tag? Maybe Lome and Todd play tag too?" She wondered aloud. "Maybe lots of people play?" She asked hopefully. "Lots of new fwiends, kay? Help?"
Thali eventually got tired of talking to someone who wasn't answering, 'Huh, boring conversation anyway.' She thought as she walked over to Maru and Luke. "Hi guys, what are you up to?" She asked, before she looked to Ben. "Couldn't you make yourself useful?" She asked.
"What about you?" Ben demanded. "You're going around talking to people, while you could be getting lunch ready!"
"I'm being useful!" Thali retorted. "I'm introducing myself to people."
