Persephone retrieved her toad and set it on the table. She practiced the professor's wand motion a few times, just to be sure she had it right. She pointed her wand at the toad, and imagined the watch clearly in her mind. Vertos lamnis, vertos lamnis, vertos lamnis she thought to herself. She wanted to get the words down in her head before she spoke them aloud, but when she opened her eyes, the toad was gone. In its place was the watch she had imagined. Persephone was surprised for a moment, and then sighed as she picked it up. She was practicing nonverbal spells for her N.E.W.T. examinations, and she must have done it nonverbally on accident. even though she transfigured the toad perfectly, she felt a little frustrated...sometimes her nonverbal spells worked, other times they didn't. she couldn't figure out how to make it consistent. "Mine's ticking, Professor. You might want to look at it to make sure everything's right, though," she said after a moment.

Will was very happy to see all of his students progressing. He was surprised to see that so many had managed to do so well upon the first try. Will walked over first to Laurel and picked up her watch and examined it. He chuckled slightly at the backwards ticking and then simply said "Expected. It would appear that you have a rebellious toad. Do not forget that even though it is a watch it is still a toad by nature. I can't dock points off for the nature of your toad."
He then moved onto Ryu and saw his watch. "Ohh...excellent." He lifted up the watch and placed it against his ear to see if it ticked but then felt something odd. He removed the watch from his ear and then saw a lone wart. "Not a totally perfect Transfigurations but the beast ticks. Excellent work Ryu."
He then moved onto the Persephone girl who had performed a nonverbal spell, quite impressive. He walked over and picked up the watch and everything was perfect. Not a hand was out of place. He looked at her and then smiled saying "Excellent work. You're a Seventh Year, aren't you?" He said curious as to it. He needed to accommodate to the more advanced students as well as the younger ones.

Delila looked down at her toad and took a deep breath. She leveled her wand and closed her eyes envisioning a small brass pocket watch. Carefully she announciated each syllable "Vertos lamnis". As she whispered the words she copied the professors wand movement and watched as the toad before her began to transform. When it was done, the only think that she noticed was different from her visualization was that the watch was lighter in tone than she had intended. Each of the hands was ticking properly, and the nobbs fully adjustable. Carefull she raised her hand. "Sir, is this correct?"

"Yes, Professor," Sephie answered the professor's question about her year. She secretly hoped this meant he'd give her something cool to work on, not that she wasn't enjoying the lesson already. She was happy to find that her watch was perfect.

Will looked down at her and then gave a mischevious smile saying "If I offered to you a class where I taught newt leveled stuff would you be interested you think?" He then held up his finger signyfying hold that thought and walked over to Delila and then said "Let's see...." He picked up the small watch and then listened to it tick. "Sounds nice, excellent work."
He then walked back to Persephone and awaited her answer.

((I hate writing characters in late its cliche after awile XD))
Mitsu smiled from amidst her seat, she was in the third row, sitting three seats away from the other students. She had arrived sometime before Ryu. She had taken out her toad, shivering at how it felt. She sat it down, looking at the toad and then picturing a silver pocket watch the fron had an engraving of London, and the inside was smooth, the numbers were roman and the hands were delicate and reminded her of arrows. She envisioned the cogs working together, moving as one and causing the watch to tick.
Taking out he wand she did the precise hand motions and spoke the incantion, of course with her accent it sounded a bit off and this put her off as she looked at her watch. It was definitely a watch but it had eyes on the casing of it and had a leg still there but it was ticking.
"Curse my accent." She said pouting, annoyance clouding her murky eyes. Then she did the wand movements again and spoke clearly this time, tapping the toad as it finally became what she wanted.
"I think I got it" She said holding up the pocket watch by the chain hooked to it and smiled as it went tick, tick, tick, ribbit and that was when Mitsu rolled her eyes and grinned.
"Guess even when i try ridding my accent to say it correctly it still goes wrong at least there aren't any body left this time!" she said cheerfully to herself

"Thank you, Professor." said Ryu. He then sat in his seat and his thoughts strayed out onto the Quidditch Feild.

They were supposed to turn their toads to pocket watches? A slightly hint of doubt crossed Ginger's eyes. As she went to retrieve her own lab-rat, her eyes slid over to the other students. Most of them were successful at first or second try. She bit her lip. She was excellent at transfiguring herself, but she couldn't get her competitiveness out of her system whilst transfiguring things the whole class should.
Looking threateningly at the toad in front of her, she metamorphed her left hand into its exact green colour, warts included. It was still a hand, of course, but could easily be mistaken for a toad if she let it lie very still on the desk. With a chuckle and a facial expression as if she were concentrating very hard, her hand turned back to normal.
"Vertos Lamnis," She muttered to herself a few times, more to get the hang of the spell than anything else. Waving her wand she repeated the incantation, the same pained and concentrated expression on her face as she had when she transformed herself. She tried to will the toad to look like a grand, antique pocket watch more than anything else. Something that looked really special, not just any watch to throw a glance at for the time, but something to admire.

Laurel felt relieved that her backwards watch wasn't her own fault. A rebellious toad... she thought as her mind wandered to an alternate universe where a toad revolution was wreaking havoc...Laurie snapped out of it though with a chuckle and tried again. Shutting her eyes tightly she imagined the same watch, only ticking correctly. With the proper movement of her wand, she said "Vertos Lamnis" and watched the ticking slow down to a complete stop before going in the other direction. Thinking of the toad resistance in another world, Laurel smiled and said, "Not today my warty friend."

Trista picked the toad up into her hands and laid him on the desk. She pointed her wand at him and closed her eyes, imagining a glistening pocket watch; making sure to picture every dial, hoping to get it perfect. She opened her eyes and repeated the motions earlier with her wand, reciting "Vertos Lamnis". Before her eyes, the toad was beginning to transform into the watch she had imagined. She smiled at her work, then picked it up to examine it. She popped open the latch and frowned as she noticed the clock; all of the numbers were jumbled up, and the hands were the same length, identical in appearance, leaving no way to distinguish the hours from the minutes.

Miranda looked down at the slim red watch on her own wrist deciding to use it as a guide, since she was incredibly familiar with it. She untied it and removed it from her wrist, laying it on the desk next to the large toad. She took in every detail of the watch, the cherry red strap with diamond shapes stitched into it. The simple face with red numbers and the red tips of the hands. The faint scratches from when she had scraped it off the walls of the charms corridor. The way the strap was split at the hole she always used.
All the while she thought about the incantation and the image of the toad transforming into her very own watch. Raising her wand in her right hand she focused on the image completely. Then she uttered the incantation "Vertos Lamnis" with the movement the Professor had shown. Despite the effort she had put in she was still somewhat surprised to find the toad transforming before her eyes. As it melted away to reveal what looked like an exact replica of the other watch on the desk Miranda was shocked. She picked up both watches and examined them closely, as though determined to find something wrong. She couldn't believe that she would have done it perfectly on her first attempt. She searched the watches quickly. They had identical straps, the same split at the 3rd and 4th hole. She examined the faces, they had the same scratches but as she pulled the toad watch closer to her face she noticed that the numbers and hand tips were coloured not red like the original, but pink! I knew I wasn't that good at this transfiguration stuff She thought to herself as she replaced her fully red watch onto her wrist once more.

Mark placed his toad on the desk in front of him. Right he thought. Watches. He shook back the sleeve of his wand arm and decided to visualize his mother's ancient pocket watch. It had been her grandfather's originally, and was a treasured heirloom in the Rapp household.
He visualized the watch. Circular, it was no more than 2 odd inches in diameter. Silver letters sat around the edge, and three bronze hands travelled around them, making sense of it all.
There had been a fat crown at the top you used to adjust the time, though it was a pain to get it exactly right so it was invariably easier just not to drop the thing. Dropping it was the usual cause of the watch going wrong, so the watch was handled like precious glass at home.. which, technically, it was. The face, anyway.
Vertos Lamnis Mark hissed at the toad, and watched the toad change. Gold streaks appeared on his visage and it turned over so Mark could see a circular face appearing on its under belly. Mark gasped, then took a closer look. There were no hands on this grotesque clock, and the clock he'd been visualizing didn't include a 42 o'clock, but apart from that, the watch was the same.

Will smiled at Mitsu as he was fairly close to her. He could hear the faint ticks and ribbits and he then uttered "That's alright, try again if you have to but make it quick!" Will passed right by Ginger, it seemed that she hadn't yet attempted the transfiguration, but was deep in thought. Will wouldn't mark down for this, just as long as the watch was transfigured before the end of class.
Will walked over to Trista and then looked over her her shoulder and saw the mess of a watch she had managed to create. "Try again my dear, imagine the numbers more visually then you had previous, imagine the hands ticking away..." Will then walked straight at Miranda and saw her watch, he could hear the ticking and he smiled. He didn't know that the pink tips weren't meant to be there so he just smiled and uttered out "Excellent Miranda!"
Will then walked to Mark who seemed to have a look of confusion. Will took a look for himself and then smiled saying "That would never pass off for a pocket watch. Please, try again." And with that Will continued to walk around the classroom.

Mitsu nodded to the teacher and tried again, at last there was no ribbit it was finally a watch.
"Ha~~ Thought you could outsmart me toad eh? Well i conquered you. And now i have a watch! I won't ever be late again!" She giggled to herself.
