Warui pushed threw the door with a little big of uncharacteristic reverence. Surveying the room he saw a mousy little attendant in the center of the office. A closed door behind her suggested itself to be the Kage's office. "Oi, Maha! We can just beat it right now and come back when they're expecting us!" He managed, a little fear creeping into his voice. The room was quiet and that bugged him. ~Waruis Theme~

Zane just stud outside and looked around making sure that they were not going to be attacked from the outside. He heard what Warui said and saw that both were very nerves about this place. He was thinking as he stud guard being very careful.

Maha said nothing and continued her way towards the door to the Mizukage's office, giving Zane a slight nod as she neared the room. The attendant spoke not a word and continued to what she was doing, lowering her head as the strangers walked in. There, sitting behind the desk was a man who's glasses glowed through the dark, dimness of the room and smiled as they entered. "Ever heard of knocking?" he spoke, his voice sharp but soft through the silence of his cold room.Maha said nothing return, and bit her lip as she stood solid and firm in the doorway, "Y-You're the M-Mizukage?" Her voice was nearly starting to choke. Something about this man sent chills up her spine. Like if he knew her, but never really had the patience to apprehend it as worthy to his knowledge."A friend, at least," he said, "For the moment, I act in his stead. You can call me Lord, if you like, but refrain from ever calling me 'your friend' or your 'pal'. I don't like the type the wavers during business. Now, state it, or get out. I'm not quite in the mood for having my men slaughter a bunch of peacemakers in my office... just when I had it refurnished. The wood's quite expensive, don't you think?"Maha bit her lip and trembled her shoulders as she tried to stand straight and tall in the presence of this new stranger. Where was Asuchi? Why was this a*****e put here instead? What had happened to the Mizukage? She then swallowed her fear and spoke up, louder than before, "We're from the Uzumaki Alliance. We bare a treaty for you to sign, my lord.""Now, what did I tell you about calling me 'your' lordship? Do you know me? Are you from this village? Seems to me like your in hardly any position to call me 'your' lord, dearest. Now let's try that again. What was it you had for me to sign?""..." Maha's fist had tightened and blood had begun to leak down from her lip. She had felt like this before. It was so familiar. The feeling of being small, and insignificant... He was no better than the big Boss himself. No wonder she couldn't speak. She then let out a sigh and spoke her words again, "We have a treaty for you to sign, Lord Mizukage.""That's better," he smiled, his glasses shining as he grinned, "Bring it here. Gently, now."

Was this guy for real? Warui had gone in expecting some devious old b*****d but got this privileged Nancy instead and as per normal Warui had all the tact of a rhino, "Oi! Bugger off you two timin' rim-job! Ima' say this once one once only! This goes beyond "lordships" an' "pals". Yer' own neck at stake as much as it's 'bout the rest of us! So man up and grow a freak'en pair!" He demanded, as he placed the scroll on his desk with a flurish. No one talks to them like this, not after all the bullshit they'd gone threw.
Maha may have been able to stomach it but Warui was vomiting from all the coy little crap the Kage had tried to shove down her throat. ~Waruis Theme~

Maha was apalled that he would say such a thing to the subsitute kage, but had felt a wave of relief hit her as he scorned at the man for his snobbery. True, she didn't have the guts to tell him he was an a*****e, but at least Warui did. That made her feel better. ... But she'd hate to think what he would do next. Now this, he had to snare upon. As his eyes narrowed, wires of sharp steel had wrapped around the two, weaving them tight as he pulled them with his fingers. "Now, let's see..." he said, tugging on the strings tighter as he walked forward toward the two, "Uzumaki Alliance, eh? Well... Do forgive me, but I believe, you're from the Leaf, correct? Yes... Hm. So you're the type responsible for what happened to poor, dear Saa-chan... How cruel... But I guess what's done is done. It's finished, right? Just like you two..."Maha glanced at the kage, then at Warui, then sucked the blood from her lip and said, "... Not that it's of any benefit to this whole situation, but... the wires... are a bit too much. Look, we... got off on the wrong foot. Let's just... get this over with, and--!"

The lug just let the wires dig into him. A little pain was nothing but still he grimaced a little, old scars producing new blood where the wires dug in. However he stood firm against them, not allowing them to constrict him. His stance was wide, no two points on contact were close enough together. "Oi, thought I told you... more's at stake that yer' petty-anny' games with Leaf." He growled. "If you wanna be the only Kage to stand alone against the tides o' war- 'en you've got a hell of trip Nancy." He warned, "Yer' neighbors' houses are burning down an' you aren't concerned your next?" He asked- his gaze fixated on the Kage.

Zane continued to stand watch outside as they did all the talking. He felt something was completely wrong at this point and looked around not leaving the place he was standing his back to the wall. He looked threw the crowds closely and around him the same way to find what was going down. He know someone was watching but he til had a very bad feeling. He pulled out his sword just in case and looked around.

... How dare this blue, thuggish ogre spit such insolence and disgrace--!? 'Very well,' thought the man with a smile as he loosened his threads around the two, 'I guess I can let this slide... just for once. Ignorant, loathsome...!' He had then drew back the threads and sat back down, a sour scowl placed upon his face as the chuunin dared to glare into his eyes with such arrogance and mockery. "Fine," he hissed, sitting back down as he glared at the two, "I apologize. And to you, miss." She was speechless. All she could do was stand and stare at what he had said. For a secound there... he looked like... No, sounded like... Asano. Same tone and all. He was never afraid of Honma. But Honma was sure scared of him. And no matter how hard he tried, no matter what kind of money he had, even if he had owned his life, his name, and his contract, he could never own Asano. He had no power over him. No control... Warui Inkei was now her new hero. However way she looked at it, it was his turn to set this b*****d straight and knock him off his high horse... She then cleared her throat and let out a ragged sigh, brushing her hair out of her face as she looked over at the kage. ... Boy did he look pale with hate. No, not hate; loathing. The same look Honma would give Asano when he demanded more money than what the Boss had paid him. A sign of 'weakness', Asano would call it.

Warui produced a small ink pen used to sign the scroll as he unrolled it across the desk. The chunin had very little time for games today. As far as he was concerned Mist was an in and out mission. He planned to get the hell out of dodge as soon as the signature was sealed. Falls was next.

The man then adjusted his glasses and grabbed a pen, signing the scroll with fine ink and elegant handwriting, "Here. Take it and go. Just... get out of here, all of you," he said, waving his hand as he sneered at the two chuunin. Maha flinched as he waved and nodded almost, placing her hand on her head as she walked to the door, quiet and meek as a timid fawn. Highly uncharacteristic of the proud, cool and collective Maha, but she sure as hell didn't want to stick around in this b*****d's office... He gave her the chills. Not the heeby-jeebies, but the bad kind of chills. She didn't like that...

Zane looked around and felt alittle safer as he put his sword out but didn't drop his guard as he put his hand in his pocket holding a kunai in it just in case for good reasons. It didn't seem for it to fit at all the new enemy but he was in a new place. He sighed as he was thinking too much and stud guard again looked around to keep them safe until they were done.

"Really? That was it?" Warui thought to himself but it was written all over his face. Maybe he was a masochist but maybe he was expecting something... more?
Rolling it up he shouldered the strap. The increase in weight was... staggering! Warui immediately fell to a knee with a stifled but surprised grunt. It now weighed the better part of a short ton (2000 pounds). The strap strained itself against the burden, digging into his shoulder as he awkwardly staggered to his gripping the desk to stabilize himself. If he hadn't been caring it all this time standing would have been a challenge. Normally his chakra expenditure was limited. His body was use to the strain but this was something else. He would have to move to Falls, clear across the continent, with this!
Taking a defiant step, he grunted like an ox- resolved to move it regardless of gravity's objection. Warui pumped himself with chakra, alleviating some of the great weight but only enough to allow him to stand.

Maha had stayed silent as she left through the door and walked out of the office, disregarding both Zane and Warui. She then buried her face in her hand and let out a ragged sigh as she tried to clear the small lump in her throat. She didn't do s**t back there. She wished she could. She wished she could've said SOMETHING, but... She then reached for the back of her neck for a hood, but had realized, there was none. ... There was no hood to hide behind. Maha had snarled a menacing growl and had clenched her fists into two, tight balls and punched the nearest thing that stood behind her (the wall), biting back a cry of frustration. Damn this place. Damn this ********, worthless piece of land. Damn the mist, damn the cold, damn the Mizukage, and damn her fear of this stupid village. She then brushed her hair back with her hand and sniffed, trying to appear cold and calm even amongst the build-up of her own insecurities. She'd deal with it. She'd manage as always. She always had. This would be no different. She'd handle it. She knew she would. ... Right?Maha Theme

Zane watched Maha closely and sighed at the both of them. He shock his head and he pulled out a scroll. It was one of the scrolls he had bought 2 months ago to store stuff in and this one had cloaks written on the side of it. He made afew hand sogns and wiped up a sand clone taking the scroll to her. The real Zane walked into the office to help Warui. He grabbed the scroll and focused his chakra into his muscles and full arms taking 1K pounds off Waruis back. His face was not lieing ether. The Scroll was heavy as crap and looked at Warui as some sweat came down his face. The Clone walked up to Maha and held it out to her and asked her with a smile" Need a cloak Maha? "

As Warui strained to move the scroll he stopped as Zane tried to help him, "Oi... 'preciate the thought, but we've each got our burdens kid." He warned sagaciously. "You'll 'ave yours someday but this one's mine." He tried to explain redoubling his efforts and trudging along behind Maha. His footsteps sunk into the soft soil and he began to wonder if the boat would be able to take it. "A while 'go this old man explained 'ow a team has to work. It needs a mind, body, and heart." Warui pointed at himself, "He called me the body. I'm the one who's grounded but... well he said stubborn and blunt... er something like that. I'm the tool the teams uses as it's body." The chunin pointed to his partner, "Maha's the mind. She's got a good head on her shoulders but it kinda plays with itself. Wrapped up in itself an' all. She provides the direction but not directly the action."
Warui stopped for a moment. He didn't want to bring Mikiru up. "The third part of a team is the heart. Someone who watches the other two parts an' keeps 'em in balance. You know... guides 'em and what not." Warui's mind was lost on their ex-teamate. Where was she... was she dead? Was she a missing nin? Why did she leave? A thousand such questions boiled beneath the surface but none showed on his face.
"She was a moral compass..." Warui bluntly said in poorer spirits, accidentally saying "she".
"So this big ol' piece of s**t is my burden." He smiled giving a half hearted flash of teeth as he trudged onward. ~Waruis Theme~
