I wonder if Hiei would kill Hina? Does Hiei even blame Hina? What does Hiei even THINK of Hina? It's true that he went looking for her, but I don't recall any comments he makes about his views on her.
Oh, by the way, has anyone else realized that Hiei and Yukina's names are a split of Hina? : (

I don't know what he thinks of her..He said that the Koorime (kingdom/floating place/village- what should i call it?) land was a place that was dead. So maybe he thought she was seeking some "life"? I don't think he hates her; whatever he thinks of her I don't think hate is it.

I think he's really hurt that they did throw him off, but that he would probably express that through anger and maybe even toss a bit of blame on her, but it wouldn't be hatred, like I said, he would just be wounded on the inside. : (

He didn't even bother looking for his father if you noticed...I wonder why....
He probably didn't feel any attachment to him at all like he did to his mother-since he only had memories of her.
He probably doesn't understand why he was born and sees that whatever his mother did was a weakness...?

I'm really don't think Hiei DOES understand how he was born. I mean, he knows it has something to do with his father, but as to how it happened, I think he's clueless!
And I don't think ANYONE except Hina knows who Hiei's father is/was. : (

Because. That's hilarious. Like. Fo real, I can see him now.
I noticed in fandom, a lot of people seem to assume Hiei's very naive (this is unrelated to the sex subject, Havi xD). Like. "Sweet Snow" and childlike and wouldn't know the function of a straw (Really. I'm not ******** joking. xD), or silly little things that I can't figure out why they'd assume he's a dumbass. xD
I think there was an episode, (and this is me remembering off the top of my head) that Hiei mentioned poker in a reference. You know, like he understands the meaning of poker. So it kinda leads me to think, well, he can't be so naive when it comes to things people do with each other.
But then he didn't know the concept of rock-paper-scissors. >.>
I think what it is for me is - where is the line drawn in canon so that fanon knows? Because...xD I can't tell how out of the loop Hiei is when it comes to stuff like games and food and using a straw. xD
I can't imagine he wouldn't know how to drink, and I can't see why he wouldn't have ever heard of ice cream. But I also don't know why he knows the rules of poker, but rock-paper-scissors was new to him. xD
However...back to the original good laugh I had at how I read Havi's post...I can actually imagine Hiei's at least, somewhat aware of how sex goes down - but in my head, I don't think he's ever done it and I can't figure he'd know exactly what to do if the situation arose. razz
But as for straws...well. Really now.
I guess my question is: How knowledgeable is Hiei, REALLY? xD

The thing is, we don't know.
Hiei's made a few references that I've found to be very...befuddling to say the least. He said to Mukuro once "I've never been the one for bed rest and home-made chicken soup." He also is aware what video games are. However, there are things, such as rock-paper-scissors, that he is unaware of. I think that wandering around Human World for what? A year? Would make him pick up on a thing or two. But we don't know what he did and didn't pick up on and we're also unaware of all the regions of Demon World he's visited, which could shed some further light on his knowledge since it's been showcased numerous times that there are some very advanced, human-like areas of Makaii.
I actually am suggesting it. And imagine how confused he'd be if he didn't.

Truth be told, I don't think Hiei knows how he would have reacted to meeting Hina. Really, I doubt that he knows how he feels on that count. (Or maybe that's just me.) I did notice that their names combined for hers...I wasn't sure if it was a coincidence, or if Togashi-san was messing with us. XD
My excuse for Hiei never looking for his father was that demon fathers are half as responsible as human ones; I figured it as likely that demons don't make good parents in general, so it's not uncommon for offspring to never know their fathers (and in some cases, mothers.) This is all speculation, and totally unbacked by canon, so feel free to call me on it. ^^
As for his knowledge about sex...I've seen people make him completely naive, and completely experienced. Since I'm a subscriber to mary's theory about him being prepubescent (or near enough), I'd probably argue that he does know the basics, but I'd be surprised to learn that he has already created little Hiei-offspring somewhere. (If only because he's been too busy for that sort of thing for the past fifty years.)
For some reason I've always seen demons as baser creatures (it's not fair, and I don't know why I do that, but that's how it is) so I assume that they have basic instincts about how the mechanics of sex works.
Off that subject, I think it's fair to say that most demons don't know a lot about silly human rituals (such as marriage? Good question.) Therefore, it makes sense that he wouldn't understand rock-paper-scissors. My excuse for him understanding poker: either he's seen the others playing it, or it was originally a demon sport. XD As for the chicken soup comment (and the various others he's spouted off during the show), I'd have to say it's either canon error or things that he has picked up in the years that he's been around humans.
Wow...see, if I had to explain it, I'd probably get all scientific, but that would be confusing for someone who doesn't have a clue about anatomy. Plus, we don't know that demons and humans reproduce quite the same (probably they do, since they can inter-breed, but you never know.) So one could be giving him way wrong information...*drifting off-topic*

Anyway, yeah. I would like to think he probably understands what it is but has never had it. I actually don't see him...having too much sexuality. Might just be me, but even if he could and knew how, I can't honestly imagine he has any desire to get on with it. xD

Demons seem more...natural? That sounds retarded. razz You know, they roll with instincts, like I think you were saying - all, caveman-ish, for the most part. Animalistic? Less civilized in the human sense.
xD I think they're perfectly capable of love, they just haven't all developed in the same mindset and general society. And RAIZEN of all nastyass demons, had sex with a human.
So. If Raizen can screw some chick, Hiei can definitely screw someone. >.> Unless he's missing certain parts. Though, he wears pants and looks like a human everywhere else >.> So I doubt he's having that issue. razz

I totally agree about Hiei not being completely sex-driven all the time. I mean, he's big on fighting, and that releases a lot of endorphins & testosterone, so reproduction wouldn't necessarily be a big thing with him at that point. (Plus there's the fact that he's probably prepubescent...or whatever.)
I've never understood mpreg...never. I just don't get it. It's not anatomically possible! And even if it was, can you imagine the repercussions on the child?! Bah! I have wondered whether Hiei might be a hemaphrodite or sterile, given the fact that he isn't really supposed to exist...but eventually I trashed those ideas, since it doesn't make all that much sense.
I wouldn't say that demons being more natural is a bad thing, though. I mean, I find it refreshing given my own attraction to nature. I don't know that they're complete savages, either--they are revealed to be mostly good creatures at the end of the manga. But I would say that they're better tuned in to their instincts & baser natures.
