"Thank you dearie."
Oni took the bottle and gave it to the youngster before them. The young thing gave out a happy gurgle and began to feed. The purple fae then nodded, pictures would be needed.
"Yes, I'll have that silly nephew of mine and his son and grandchildren help. They're a lively, lovely bunch who love helping."
She tucked several strands of hair behind an ear and smiled at Azzurra. Such a nice, sweet fae.

The younger fae finished her sandwich as she watched, and then cleaned up the mess she'd made. By the time she was done, the baby had finished her bottle. "Um, do you... do you think it would be all right if I held her?" Azzurra asked shyly.

Oni smiled at the other fae's request. She nodded toward the baby suggesting the other fae go ahead and pick the baby up. Oni was just softly smiling as she watched the other fae, glad to meet such a nice young one.

Azzurra smiled wide and gently picked up the little one, cradling her. "She's so adorable..."

There was sudden warmth. Oni loved to see moments like this. She watched Azzurra hold the dear one; glad that the other had usch nice maternal moments.
"Yes, babies are always adorable. Every single one."
Even the baddies. Even the monsters. A baby would never be turned away from Oni, and they would always be the dears of her heart. She walked over and patted Azzurra on the fact gently; motherly.
"And you dear, are just as adorable right now. You'll make a very good mother one day.

The young fae glanced up, blushing. "Really? I mean, I want to... but I haven't really thought about it all that much yet."
She reached down with one hand to brush the infant's hair back, then tickled her gently under her chin.

Oni smiled and sat down in a chair. It was story time, at least to her. She looked off in the distance for a moment and then began her tale.
"A long time ago, I met a fae who was handsome and kind. Sweet as sugar and everything I ever wanted. I fell for him, and hard. We were mates within a few weeks. We had children shortly after that, Ashitaka and his sister. However, my Kokoro took our daughter and they both disappeared..."
She trailed off for a second, the pain a little hard on the purple fae. Oni took a deep breath and continued on.
"I have spent several years with only my brothers, my friends, and my little Ashitaka. One of my brothers died, the other has always been a wanderer. Katherine and Rapture live their own lives with ease, and stop by... but never as much as I'd like. Ashitaka became my world, and he was such a good son. He never complained or asked questions that would hurt me. Always helped out, and took care of me. He became my world."
She smiled again, looking directly at Azzurra.
"Even though I've lived without the fae I loved. Even though he left me, took my daughter, and left me cold and alone... I would never trade my life for another. Ashitaka was more than worth every minute of it. Children are something special and wonderful, giving you life when you feel you have none. Loving you no matter what, and always there to help their parents. Do not be afraid of my story dear. Just know that having a child will change your life in a good way."

Azzurra cradled the little one as she listened to Oni, her heart going out to the older fae. She didn't speak right away when the other finished, thinking a little on her words.
"I'm sure you'll find him one day, that he'll come back to you. You love him so much, I can't believe he could love you any less. And I do think I'll have children one day, and hopefully with someone as wonderful as your mate was for you. I just have to find him, first."

A sigh escaped her and those two different eyes closed. Find Kokoro? No she had given up hope about that. Her nephew Waka had tried to search the world for his mate and daughter... and he had come back worse for wear. Almost broken. Hyde had finally found a mate, then she had left and broken his heart. Now Hyde had another one to call love, and Waka was a hermit even as his son lived a wonderful life as an example.
"I'm sure you'll meet someone wonderful dearie. It's bound to happen with a beauty like you."

The young fae blushed. "Thank you..." She glanced down at the baby in her arms. "I just hope it happens soon. I'd never really thought about it before, but now I really do think I want a child."

Oni chuckled, knowing exactly how her new friend felt. She smiled warmly and closed her eyes. Ah, the first time she held little Ashitaka! The older fae just kept smiling. Azzura reminded her of herself so much!
"Well my dear, you are more than welcome to come over and help me with this little one as much as you'd like until we find her parents. And if we don't... well, feel free to come over either way."

"Oh really, could I?" Her excitement was evident in the fae's voice. "I'd love to help out, and to come visit. You're sure you wouldn't mind?"

"I'll be putting fliers up everywhere. Hopefully that will cause a bit of a stir. Maybe if someone is looking, others will know about it!" She sighed, closed her multi-colored eyes once again. It would be hard to give the baby up, but if her parents showed up... well, Oni would cross that bridge when the time came.
"I'm not sure there'll be anything else I can do."
There was a sudden knock on the door, followed promptly by a fae just letting himself in. Aidan was never one for letting Oni open the door when he could just do it himself.
"Auntie O! I swear it's been much too long since I've had a home cooked meal. I thought I'd stop by and con you into making me some!"
He had a big ole grin and there was a tease dancing in his eyes. The baby cried, and he looked on over to the pretty fae who was holding said babe.
"Pretty baby you got there miss! Healthy one too, eh?"
