Ahab Maundrell Ahab Maundrell death metal with a blues twist. i taught myself how to play and the only thing i knew was twelve bar blues. so after playing around that for about 3 years you get the idea.... hm... blues and death metal are pretty much same basic stuff.... i'm slow. :/ Blues and death metal are not even CLOSE to the same basic anything. Especially once you start getting into Tech Death. Listen to Bo Diddley and then listen to The Faceless or Death. You'll hear a big difference.

this thread has so much fail
I play blues rock with the occasional jazz and metal influences. I'm trying to work my way towards being as versatile as possible. I like to include a lot of different influences and abstract stuff in my music. Being able to improvise is very important to me.

I mostly play 6 string B tuning (Baritone tuning) these days.
I improvise around a mix of doom metal and Blues.

Mainly metal, gave up on playing thrash, now i'm just playing traditional heavy metal. I'm very interested in learning jazz and bluegrass techniques. I love using low, sexy tuning. cool

Metal. Mainly thrash and stoner metal.
I tend to focus more on melody and groove, honestly. Technicality is all well and good, but... if it doesn't fit the song, then it doesn't need to be there.
