"So find something to do indoors. Play on the internet, watch TV, learn to draw, I don't care." Sally huffed, turning her head in the direction of the cry. Well, apparently the intruder found himself a meal. That meant he won't go after Nosferatu, hopefully. She looked down at the boy, sighing in defeat.

"At least don't go out alone." It was a compromise, really...but part of her knew that if she was this protective over a brat she just met, and now that she knew there ws a mouthy predator in the area, there was no way she could leave him alone now. Truthfully, she saw herself watching his house at night now, in case he decided to fly the coop again.

"...We should get out of here though, in case he comes back."

Nosferatu, being true to his nature, was about to argue back about one thing or another but then the compromise flew her lips and he snapped his trap shut for a brief moment and then uttered a small sigh and nodded, "Fiiiiiine, I won't go out alone," he muttered softly as clawed toes scuffed lightly at the dirt and grass beneath his odd feet. Nosferatu supposed, despite how she tries to show she doesn't, that is how she showed she cared like when Mama nags him and all that good happy stuff Sally tried to explain to him earlier.

"..Okay Auntie Sally," he relented reluctantly to her with a small huff and turned and began to walk forward again, oblivious as to what the cry could mean though his ears twitched to show that he had heard it.

Zak was contently munching away at his meal for now, but he had plans, oh yes. Plans to catch up to her and apologize. Now that he was eating he was in a 'right' state of mind, right enough to feel guilty about what he did.

Wow, he actually wasn't going to argue? Huh. That was good. The Monster regarded him cautiously; he didn't ask for her to meet him every night, and she wasn't going to offer it, either. Despite the fact she probably would end up doing just that. "Good." ...Auntie Sally? She'd never been an Auntie before...this was new! Her cautious stare became somewhat dumbfounded, and she watched him start to walk away.

"...What do you do for fun?" Sally asked, trailing behind the boy. It was better when she could see him; that predator still unnerved her. Regardless, she shifted her shirt to cover her hands with the material of her sleeves, just in case she had to grab him.

Truthfully Nosferatu, while he wasn't traumatized by his ordeals this night, was unnerved enough to agree to not going out on his own. Though he either assumed that the she-vampire would be there for him or he just figured he'd find a night-buddy elsewhere. Either way he wasn't going to just outright give up on going out at night. That was just wrong and silly.

He tucked his hands into pockets and folded his wings about himself to guard from any chill as he walked along, "I play Guitar Hero and I sing." He replied and then uttered a small sigh, "sometimes I play with my sister, too. She's okay I guess, kind of a sissy girlie-girl though."

"Guitar Hero?" Sally said in a curious manner. She hadn't heard of Guitar Hero! Though it would seem silly to have a hero for guitars...but oh well. He...sang...? After a blink, she squinted as if recalling something, her right hand moving to play with the ring on her left hand that wasn't actually there anymore. "I used to play the piano." And Mark would sing. It brought up painful memories, and she flinched...until he brought up his sister.

"That's no good. Do you scare her a lot?" Sally didn't know why she was suddenly so interested in the boy; perhaps potentially saving his life changed a minor outlook she had for him. Granted, she still found him to be a pain.
PostPosted: Sun Aug 16, 2009 3:54 am

"Yeah! S'a video game about music and playin' guitar," he explained simply, his back was turned to her and he didn't notice the flinch but he had noted an odd sort of quiet coming from his night-time companion but he decided not to question it. Adults were fond of feeling things but not talking about it. "Piano? I guess pianos are okay; my sister plays a lap-harp-thing. Feh."

A fan of culture he was not, at least not at this juncture probably not ever.

Nosferatu shrugged a bit, "Sometimes, I play pranks on her and tease her. I scared her good one day. We played a game called 'Vampire'. She didn't like it though, said it was too scary after a while," he uttered a small sigh and stuck out his tongue, "sissy."

"I see." Sally tilted her head a bit; she knew of video games, but Guitar Hero escaped her. She'd have to look into it! It should be interesting, really. A little smile formed on her lips when he submitted that Pianos were okay, but when the harp was mentioned, she looked thoughtful. "Better watch out, she'll get callouses on her fingers and they'll hurt more." Or, alternatively, she'd get herself hurt when a string snapped. But that part she kept to herself.

"You played a game called Vampire?" She could imagine what that entailed. "Now you can tell her you met two of them." Because maybe if his Mother believed him, she'd be more watchful as to when he went out. Her gaze still looked around the park, weary of that other predator. Sally's scent had covered Nosferatu before, but...she didn't know how keen he was now that the boy was off of her.

"It'd probably scare her really good if you were nice to her one day." Sally mused, looking over her shoulder. She used to be this mean to her husband when they were dating. "And once she's used to it, put a whoopy cushion under her seat."

"I will," he replied in a tone that made no promises. The small child seemed rather doubtful that his sister would possibly imagine hurting him even if she could. Then again she is capable of trickery so who knew? He decided not to dwell on what he felt was a very unlikely prospect.

Nos blinked gazing back at his 'friend' with crimson eyes and then gave a short laugh and nodded, "Only really met one, you. The other kinda walked away, you scared him off," it seemed like a praise coming from the young boy as if he was truly impressed by Sally's posturing. He let out a small 'hmm' at her next set of words.

"Maybe, maybe," Nosferatu said thoughtfully as he walked along seeming to just remember what way to go home without really looking or paying attention. "Do it before she goes blind so that way it doesn't seem too mean..." there was a small note of concern that he'd likely deny if it was pointed out.

Zak had finished his meal with a bit of a hiccup and a burp, he couldn't help it! It wasn't bad manners just good food. He quietly tucked the graffiti artist off into a small hole he dug moments before and then dumped sand on the half eaten corpse. After dusting himself off and checking himself for any stray blood he meandered away from his feeding spot with very little rush. Running from the scene of the crime tended to attract unwanted attention.

His eyes had slid to their customary 'closed' looking position and his lips donned a cheerful smile. This version of Zak was cheerful, happy-go-lucky, with enough optimism to probably choke a pony with a flowing rainbow mane. He went strolling after that woman he still scented her in the air, but there was that other scent as well...

Odd. At least he wasn't hungry anymore. Now that he thought about it, that smell was far too young, it was probably for the best...

"I did what I had to." Sally submitted when the boy said she'd scared the other one off. She didn't really care WHAT made him leave, all she did care about was that he was gone. Listening to Nos prattle on about his sister was almost amusing to her...how very true to his age. "Your sister is going blind? That is unfortunate..." The woman trailed off. That scent was getting closer again. It was faint...but it was there.

She couldn't help the little growl that escaped her lips; despite her general dislike over the nuisance of the boy, she was getting protective of him. "Stay close, Nosferatu." Sally said, her voice low. There was no way of knowing if he was still hungry...

"I guess, but it was still awesome," he replied stubbornly refusing to see her as anything short of godly at the moment. Nosferatu nodded at her question, "Yeah, she's goin' blind or so we think. Her eyesight started goin' bad real sudden," he murmured lightly and shrugged. At the moment it made him feel horrible for his sister to even think about it. When commanded to stay close he blinked a bit, was it back? Apparently the supposed fear was put into the other predator had not been long lasting. "Fine," he murmured as he slowed his pace just a tad so he could stick a bit closer to her.

Izaak was already forming words of an apology as he went from a stroll into a brisk trot. He didn’t like to step all over someone else’s territory but sometimes it happened and the outcome often ended up being a lot messier. Plus there was a child involved and that just racked up the guilt points for the bald man, more than he cared to have to deal with at the moment. Silly humanity.

"I'm sorry to hear that, I hope she makes a turn for the better." Not only that, but she was amazed at the compassion Nosferatu was showing; she was beginning to think he was born faulty. Warning bells started going off in her head, and she looked behind her; she couldn't see anything definite yet, but she thought she could see a bald man in the distance; too far away for human eyes, anyway.

Crap. He was behind her, so she couldn't very well put the boy on her back again...the whole point of her facade earlier was to keep him hidden. But...she didn't want him against her chest. Not that she was a prude or anything, it was just that...if she could see him, she'd have an easier time attempting to chomp on him. That was something she didn't want. Sally grunted in annoyance.

"Get on my back. Hold on Tight. We're going for a run." She said, stopping in her walk to turn her back to him and crouch. The Monster waited for the boy to climb on, impatiently staring ahead at what she thought was the other predator returning. Once Nos was on her back she stood up and turned on her heel, bolting away from the other creature.

Of course, she made a point to stay in the general area of the boy's home; she just wanted to get the other Monster to back off and lose interest.

"She'll be okay," he murmured in a tone that seemed confident, but maybe it was more like reassuring himself more than anything and he walked on aware that his night companion had suddenly become alert again and then, suddenly, wanted him to cling to her back again. Nosferatu blinked and ran a hand through his shaggy hair before he finally relented and clambered on with no argument. Sally had long legs and in the end it'd be stupid to sacrifice himself just because he was being a stubborn brat. Sure he loved his adrenaline highs but getting caught was not high on his list.

Once secure he clung on and let her run, his eyes shut as he felt the wind breeze past him.

Izaak paused in his pursuit for a moment and uttered a thin sigh. Honestly, people running from him, it was always a little annoying especially right now when he was pretty much harmless, for the most part. Granted last she saw him he wanted to snack on whatever it is she had, wherever it was hiding but now he was okay, honest!

The bald man shook his head and sped up his pace after the other running 'creature of the night'. He wasn't going to give up.

Sally ran for a while, darting between things, zig zagging; even going so far as to run out of town once. While she wasn't getting winded or tired, she was certainly getting annoyed. Very annoyed. Eventually she ended up back in the park, near the swings where they had first crossed paths. Her run had soon become a walk, and then stopped completely to stare at the direction she'd come from, knowing he was on her trail. Of course, there had been no permission from her to get down, which became apparent when she didn't kneel to let him off of her. Nope. He was staying where he was until she said so. Even if she had to chomp at him to get him to obey her.

"I said Go Away!" She growled out loud to the strange male. "Leave me alone." Sally hissed out, her stance slowly shifting into the same cautious one as before.

Nos didn't feel the need or desire to get down and even if he had a wild hair up his a** he just decided to stay where he was for now. It was more fun to watch than it was to take part in the chaos. Besides he played part just by being a 'snack' and that was enough chaos for him.

Izaak followed on her tail and soon found that they had gotten back to their original meeting spot. How strange this was, but he supposed it was quite alright, it was fine for him. He held his hands up and his expression lacked hunger or desire to fight for the meal, his eyes were hidden behind heavily lidded eyes and thus unseen. "I will if you let me speak, you won't have to deal with me ever again, hopefully," he couldn't think of a reason or desire to stick around after his apology was made.

His voice lacked the earlier hunger and primal tone it once had.

Sally stared hard at him, her sickly eyes narrowed. He certainly looked different...even the way he carried himself was much more well mannered than his first meeting her. However as they say, first impressions are lasting...and her first impression wasn't the greatest at all. She didn't trust him as far as she could throw him. At least, so far, the brat Nosferatu was safe.

"What. Do. You. Want?" She growled out, her stance and guard not once dropping despite his apparent one eighty in his personality. The faster he told her the faster he'd leave, right?
