{Thanks for the support Wise. heart Doctor_Whiteface, I would like to point out that your logic is flawed, seeing as hell was created for the purpose of casting out Lucifer from paradise. Quote: this endless Library is the place where all records go in Hell. It is ruled over by Ra'ask, the Librarian. The Library houses all records of demonic lineage, infernal plots, succession of leadership, damned souls, and everything else in Hell that is written down. Within the walls of the Library is a spatial effect that causes the building to get larger the closer you get to the center, with the effect strengthening exponentially. The Librarian is the only being who knows where all the records are in the Library, and the only being other than the previous Librarian who knows the exact layout of the building. Demons who hope to steal a book are doomed to forever wander the bookshelves. Fire, water, and anything else that could be used to harm paper have no power here, and instantly disappear if they are brought inside. The one exception is a small fountain of steam in the front atrium, directly behind the Desk. There is nothing here about reproducing information in the books, nothing about carving on skin. Also, it mentions that the Library contains only 'that which is written down' so there is no way that you would have such incerdible amounts of knowlege Also, the information in the library seems to only protain to demonic persons, seeing as my character is a fallen angel, stranded on Earth, and does not belong to hell or any of its current governing forces...there would not be a detailed book on her life and personality, just minor information that has been collected through encounters. You are criticizing me for breaking the rules, yet you are changing the rules so you can be right and win an argument. Somehow this doesnt seem fair. But....as Wise so kindly pointed out, arguing is not going to solve anything. Neither of us will back down, and we will just continue to argue. Eventually it would involve the owners and probably other members of the role play. Maybe I will be allowed to do what I want, or maybe I will be told to follow your instructions or leave. I have been in plenty of these such situations, often as the person in your position and I can understand how annoying this must be. But I will tell you now that I will not back down and I will continue to do as I feel. That is, unless you wish to compromise? or we could drop this riddiculous conversation and get back to role playing! xp }

Allara tilted her head and said simply, "you are a fool." It was merely three simple words, but she knew they would frustrate him even further. "I would never willingly choose to do battle with you within the walls of the Library, where your advantage is overwhelming. But should you decide to initiate any form of aggression against me, or anyone I call friend..."
She glanced at Luci, illustrating her point, "the ancient powers will protect me, it will not matter which came first, the rites, or the Library... the laws governing our society will rule in my favor. It is the Library's job to store such information and protect it."
Allara closed her eyes and took a deep breath, then she looked about the Library feeling the contant flow of power and knowlege, nuetral, both divine and demonic. "If you do not follow the ancient laws, the laws that this library has been built to uphold and protect, then as the Librarian you have corrupted its purpose."
She flashed a smile, "and this is my purpose...I serve the laws, the Library serves the laws, and the Librarian serves the Library." Allara willingly raised her arm, displaying the carved text on her skin, still wet with blood that refused to heal until she allowed it to. "If you violate these laws, I promise you, your punishment will be severe, immediate, and it will never end..."

Luci yawned, slightly bored.. "I grow tired of this place as I have been here a long time.." She said somewhat boredly. "Shall we take our leave..?" She asked Allara, hoping for a little bit more excitement, though not too much.. no.. that would happen soon enough.. But the Library was full of the past, she experienced enough to grow bored with it. "Farewell Dear Librarian.. Be careful when you sleep there are many ways in a dream that can keep you from awakening.." She warned though it was more her way of jesting..

Allara turned to Luci and nodded, "yes, let us depart." She gave the Librarian no further regard and turned. She raised her hand, and with little effort opened up a portal to Earth. Her hair changed again, becoming its normal shade of pink once more, and then she stepped through the portal with Luci. Leaving the Library, and Ra'ask behind. {exit to Maruk?}

Luci smiled somewhat devilishly, "Farewell, Ra'ask.." as she disappeared into the portal.

((I'll compromise in this case, though I have to say that I believe that Wise's argument was just a *leetle* forcefully worded. And @Asian: While the Library houses the records of Hell and is currently within the boundaries of Hell, it wasn't created there. The dimensional effect isn't the kind of thing that normal beings, or for that matter even minor deities can achieve. And I am quite aware that the Library contains only that which is written down, as I'm the one who wrote that description, but there is nothing in there that states that it has to be that which is written in this reality. To quote Terry Pratchett: Terry Pratchett The theory went that since all pieces of matter influenced all other pieces of matter, all pieces of literature minutely influenced others, and that a sufficiently minute study of extant books would reveal those texts that had not been written yet, were still being written or, possibly, would never be written. this is an approximate quote from The Last continent that nonetheless brings across the basic principle of the Library of Hell. And Thanobiographies exist for every being in every realm, not just Infernals. Ra'ask has his, Aziraphale has his, even the Triune has theirs. I'm not changing the rules. These already exist, to wit: Doctor_Whiteface Within the depths of the Library, at the end of the infinite shelves, lies a single book. While approaching this area there is a persistent scratching sound. This is the sound of hundred of trillions of books writing themselves, the thanobiographies of every individual who has ever lived, the life story of a person as it happens. The book at the center is illuminated by a single shaft of light, and seems to be constantly expanding. All along the lower edges of the podium upon which it stands are other books, each expanding at a constant rate. This podium is the repository of the Thanobiographies of the highest-ranking devils and Seraphim, with the spot of honor occupied by the Thanobiography of the Library itself, a book that contains within it the secrets of the infinite shelves. Only the Librarian is permitted to enter this place, along with his apprentice when his final visit arrives. But for now, I'll let you win.)) Ra'ask watched as the girl left with Luci. As he turned to go back wihin the shelves, his manic grin illuminated the walls. "The Library does not serve the Laws, it merely exists. It is nothing more nor less than the Library. They never learn that the Library isn't the Library unless they know it is already..." He stalked back towards the center of the Library. "But then... Only the Librarians know that..."
