I completely and totally agree with that post. heart
It sums up everything I've been thinking about HIM. They aren't a band anymore, they're a fashion.

HIM suck now.. Ville's ugley.. Dark Light sucks.. And every second person I see on the street is wearing some form of Heartagram.. I lost all faith when I went to buy my tickets for the Sydney show the other day and the person in line behind me had a plain white singlet, a demin mini skirt, hi heels.. and a Heartagram necklce and a cuff.. SHE WAS BLONDE.. And dressed like a slut.. Oh yeah she so totaly digs the lyrics... I sound like one of those angsty ******** wannabe's but I so don't care it pissed me off...

1. HIM does not suck and you have provided no proof as to why you would say that.

2. Ville's physical appearance is of no consequence to the band as a whole or the music itself, which should be valued first and formost.

3. People wearing the heartagram is merely a sign of HIM's growing popularity. Whosoever feels like sporting it really doesn't matter to the band, and shouldn't affect you.

4. What right is it of yours to make a judgement about a person based solely on appearance? Sluts like music too. And you know? MAYBE she has a cool personality. How she dresses makes no difference in music taste or her disposition. You don't know her, so don't judge her, OR the band, based on her clothing and haircolor.

Well if you're the only one, that's okay, it's YOUR opinion. I don't HATE Dark Light, I love quite a few of the songs, but it's not the best album, yes. (This is all my opinion, I'm just clearing that up.) But after four whole albums that were all written by Ville, (Except for Don't Fear the Reaper and Wicked Game) you really can't blame him for the lack of creation, and the same goes for the music itself, after four other albums of creatvity, can soemone REALLY pull off another near-perfect album without copying their old material, or copying other's music. and as for the Heartagram merchandise, I believe that's due to BAM being so popular and using that symbol, many of the kids at my school at least, love BAM, and they have no idea who HIM are, they are constantly asking, "What does HIM have to do with BAM's symbol?"

I couldn't help but noticing but Solitary Man is also not written by Ville, but Neil Diamond, a country singer. And I hate people saying the heartagram is Bam's symbol but I am truly a Bam fan its just giving credit where credit is not deserved. And personally Dark Light is not my favorite album but like others have said, it would be tough to make some like their older ones.

I'm sorry but I can't stand that. I'm totally free with letting people listen to what they want, but I can't stand gangsters and people who are into rap & all that crap say they like HIM/Bam. It's just wrong. you listen to music thats all about sex/drugs/being arrested(I admit not ALL rap is about it, but most is) and you say you like HIM, who is all about Love/death/ Life expiriences.

I must say I was a tad disappointed by Dark Light. I agree that after making 4 albums that it will wane a little, but I guess I just set my expectations to high...

I hate Posers. I have this one girl in my study hall 8th period everyday, who didn't know who the ******** HIM was until she became friends with one of my friends who I went to the HIM concert with in November. She comes into me one day and says

"OMG Koz! I listened to a HIM song and I'm in LOVE with them now!!"
I looked at her and said "What song?"
"uhh, its called... something with a butterfly..."
"Wings of a butterfly?"
"Yeah thats it!!" *giggle*
*throws up* "hmm...whatever" *gives cold shoulder, turns iPod volume up*

She made me so angry that day. I don't care if you listen to it, If you don't even know the name of the song, don't come talk to me.

I wish HIM wasnt going all mainstream b/c I liked the old days when I could listen to them and no one would know who they were...but those days are disappearing...

Okay first off. HIM doesn't have 100% control over all their merchandising. They do have to have lives you know. I don't think you should really blame them for heartagrams being everywhere. I think alot of people are just disapointed that their little Finnish band that hardly anyone heard of is now going mainstream, and they don't want HIM to be famous. Hey, I'm in the same boat. I don't want HIM to be famous like alot of other bands. I can't afford eighty dollar tickets to their concerts. But it doesn't mean I'm going to stop liking HIM. And as for Dark Light, if you get mad they didn't make a "perfect" breathtaking/whatever album compared to their other albums, and you think they're all about image and whatever, that's a tiny bit unfair. You know bands want to make it big in America. That's usually their goal. But sometimes I think alot of HIM fans just want HIM to be their little secret, but it doesn't work that way. As for the stupid Bam fans, deal with it. I'm a proud Bam fan. I don't like the word "Bamtard" or people just going "oh those Bam fans" and then when I get mad, I hear "Oh I'm a Bam fan too!" Well, make that a TINY bit more clear next time, okay? I happen to like Dark Light. I happen to like everything that HIM's ever done. And yes, I happen to think Ville is a very gorgeous man. (Seeing as how I've seen HIM live in concert twice and my best friend met him, I can say that he is very gorgeous in person.)

Okay I'm not trying to be mean or anything. I understand you guys have your own opinions, I just hate to see HIM fans get mad over things like this! Hey, we're suppose to love/support our band. One not-perfect album and everyone's ready to boycott. Yeah, every band has poser fans. We have to deal and educate people!

Love you guys.
I agree.

i agree partially like the fashion trend part i agree on ....like you'll see these pozer preps at school wearing all this HIM s**t on and then youll ask them to name a few songs by him and theyll go ""Who's HIM""
And there are some crappy songs on darklight but then there are a few good ones...

Uh, no duh stupid. On the inside of the single for "Solitary Man" it credits Neil Diamond as the orginal writer of the song. -_-; Seriously ... ever hear of cover songs, darling?

And for the last time, educate the stupid fans, don't discriminate!

I totally agree. HIM has become that damn trend no hard core fan wants to happen. They are all small, have few people that like them (but they are the true devoted fans), soon WHAM! They get huge. Then guess what? All the peeple jump on the HIM bad wagons and you have all these "OMG GAWD! VILLE IS SO HAWT!" people. They have no idea there are other albums, no idea were they came from, and no idea about them as individuals.

Then, the ones who were with them from the begining are thrown in with these ignorate people who think they know everything about them because "Bam like thems and he's so awsome! That Ville guy is hot!"
I'm actually sad about Dark Light. My little band I have loved and cheerished for 3 years now because of there individuality are sounding more and more like mainstream rockers. Dark Light is the worst album they put out.

No, I still do have that undying devotion for them. Dark Light is okay, Killing Loneliness is awsome as ********, but they are not that special anymore. I hope people understand what I'm saying.
