The voices of the girls around him were dulled out as he looked down at his keyblade. His ears rang loudly, the sound of battle in the background. He could here clashing blades and screaming men, but the sound soon disappeared as he heard the last of Etoile's sentence. He shook his head and looked up at her. "Naomi... She's a friend..." He looked down at his hands, her blood still on them a bit, along with his own. He looked up in the direction the portal had been and lifted his hand as if he could do it himself. Instead of a portal opening, his keyblade disappeared. He looked down at his hand in awe and tried summoning it back. The keyblade refused to do so though. He fell down and sat, staring off into the ocean, wondering just how he was going to go about this.

Etoile nodded as she looked him over with a look of concern. As his keyblade disappeared out of existence she sighed. "They're complicated weapons, keyblades. From what I've read about them in mythology only strong hearts can wield them, they only come to their wielder in times of need or when the heart is strong enough to summon them to 'lock the keyholes of worlds', and they are difficult to master."
She moved and stood next to him, looking out at the blue water as she crossed her arms behind her. As the ocean air blew into her face, it took her pale blonde hair with it. The salty taste was familiar, yet seemed nostalgic for other times, other people...who stood here once before them. "I know what you're planning. I want to help you. Whatever services I may offer, I'd like to help. I've read books on Destiny Island mythology and swordplay. Anything you may need to know on this journey, I may have the answer." She looked down at him and gave a soft smile that slowly disappeared. "As for why he took her, that's a question I can't even begin to fathom the answer to."
