King was nearing the entrance to the town, he could see it clearly now, with only a couple yards to go. He didn't see any sign of Saza, and slowed down a little bit, waltzing into what stood as the doorway in.
He had a slightly smug look on his face and was whistling a light tune to Kela.

Saza quickly cleared the trees of the forest and sped out onto the dirt path that King was taking, just as he was about to enter the city. Saza shut her eyes to focus her mind and body on getting through the gateway before King... but it wasn't enough. She opened her eyes and came to halt; King was waiting for her in the entrance.
Despite her lungs' hunger for more oxygen, Saza sat down and laughed. It was more than just a chuckle: a large and appreciative laugh. Inaba came to rest beside her, quickly inhaling and exhaling as much air as he could to slow down his little heart's harsh pumping. "That was so much fun!" Saza said, ending her laugh with a little sigh. "I hadn't planned on going all-out against you King, but that was so great... It's too bad I came to the wall and not the gateway; Inaba would have loved a new friend to cuddle with." Saza smiled brightly since she had really enjoyed herself during the run, and her happiness could be heard in her voice even though she had lost the race.

"That was a great race!" King breathed before bursting into raucous laughter with Saza. King sat there for a few minutes, catching his breathe and resting before they continued into the village.
Once continuing to the village, King headed straight for the center of the town, knowing that was the best place to find humans. As he strutted into the village, one human called King over. "Wait here for a minute," King said to Saza as he walked over to the human.
While over there, the human gave King a slice of bread and something to drink. It wasn't the best tasting liquid, but it was good enough that King downed quite a bit of it. What King didn't know was that this was a younger human that wanted to see the effects of alcohol on a kuniku. King walked back over to Saza and started looking for someone to get directions from.

Saza sat and waited patiently for King to return from the human's side. Once he came closer, she noticed a peculiar smell on his breath; it was a scent that she didn't recognize, however, it wasn't awful so she decided against saying anything about it.
"It'll be hard to get a human to tell us where the palace is since they don't understand us... If we at least knew what it looked like, we might be able to draw it." Saza said, while looking around the area. There were plenty of people around, but the difficult task would be effectively communicating.
