Also, as another note. I am not sure I want to run this contest again. I am wondering if we should have a smaller program?

Does anyone have an idea for a new program? Here's an idea! How about for the votes, instead of letting everyone vote for as many as they want each person may pick ONE person to receive a smallish prize (like maybe a fish drop) and if anyone collects multiple votes they can step up to a bigger prize? Something like this:

1 Ticket - fish drop
2 tickets - Enchanted Golden Trunk
3 Tickets - Brown or Brown Magical Giftbox
4 Tickets - Pink Magical Giftbox

Etc... Anyone have an opinion, think this will work better, or worse?

Also, would anyone like to run such a contest? Or if you like the current one better, would anyone like to run that?

No, I'm not mad. I just feel like this contest is no longer getting the participation to keep it going well and I am a little burned out on running it the way it's set up now.

The month we had the issue with the tie I did NOT ever say that people couldn't vote for anyone specific. I'd hoped this was past us, but all I was doing was stressing a rule that had ALWAYS been there, which stated that votes should be based on people's actions participation within the clan and zOMG. I know that such a rule is vague and open to interpretation. But there is a difference between a group of people all voting for all of each other, irregardless of activity levels, and a bunch of people all voting for someone or several people who they feel are really helping in the clan and or zOMG.

Gothichearts has also, consistently, come in in one of the top places in almost every month this contest has been run! This shows that she's been giving consistent support to the clan and keeps up her activity and continues to earn the votes. My intention in the months that I did not let her win the big prize was NOT to exclude her as much as to exclude myself as well (we'd both won the same month, and if I let her win again, I'd have to let me win again, and the two of us come in near the top pretty much every month.) But I didn't want the contest to recognize the same people over and over, but instead to give to new people each month.

Please continue to express your opinions, but also, if you can help me think of a way to reward people for activity within the clan, that would be great! I have no intention of getting rid of the photo, and avi and writing contests that we're having! But I would like to also recognize and hopefully reward people who may not be as creatively inclined, but who are fulfilling the clan's mission to help others, and to help in the clan!
