Park Meeting With... Lar?!

It was easy to say in the least that Rei's sudden change in behavior appeared almost overnight. Actually ever since his third eye had opened he had spoken in a different pitch, wanted different clothes and been just very demanding. Even to the point where Liam had to wonder if the child was switched int he middle of the night. Only problem with that analogy was that 'Lar' as she called herself now, looked exactly like Rei. It was so confusing.

Lar had demanded they go to the park, her rambling on how her brother went there so she should to.

Liam was lost...brother? What ...brother...?

There was the slight shaking of the ground in the park that came along with the massive form of Ryhdderch as he came by, something that drew a lot giggling from the kids who were playing, a couple of them having lost their footing. The Minotaur gave them all a glance to make sure they were alright before continueing on his way over to where the swings were set up. As he reached them the guy's large hands lifted up to take the ever silent Rong off of his shoulder and lowered the boy down to sit him in a swing, "Here, how about you try this." He said, giving his son a smile before he backed up, settling back into the tall, green grass.

The Minotaur was quietly watching the boy, grazing unconsciously on the grass, as he waited to see him do... well much of anything but it seemed to be one of those fruitless endeavors as the boy wasn't even moving, just gazing off at something in the distance that he couldn't seem to see or fathom.

Lar had been fiddling with a new toy she had gotten Liam to get for her. She was wearing a bright red dress a white bow around her waist as she trotted aimlessly around trying to get the blasted ball to balance in the cup. She was failing at it and her annoyance showed by the thrashing of her tail.

"Daddy! Make it work!" she demanded as she shoved the toy at the androids direction. The bot looked down at it and then gently removed it from her tightfisted hand.

Though she was already distracted as she noticed Rong and Ryhdderch, she clapped her hands together as she then strode towards the pair. Her brother had told her about them. So she should go introduce herself!

Liam watched as she moved, haughty... easily angered... what... a strange change in personality. He followed after slowly.

"you must be Rong." She announced as she then curtsied to them both.

Rong's chocolate brown eyes seemed to focus as suddenly the kirin child appeared before him, he starred as he always starred but there seemed to be a little more going on behind his eyes then normal. There was just something about the Kirin that had always seemed to cause him to act in a manner that was more... with it.

Ryhdderch starred at the kirin who came over to announce herself and bow, if she was here then... he turned to look over at Liam and gave the other a smile, "Hello again, Liam." He greeted him before turning to look at Rei'lar in a curious manner, "I see that your child has grown as well." It was good to see that only Rong wasn't growing in this strange manner.

Liam only looked to the minotaur after a moment and he nodded his head. Growing well was once way to describe ...Rei.

"thank you Mr. cow. I am growing well." Lar stated with a nod and another curtsy she then looked to Rong as if expecting him to answer. "Aren't you going to ask whom I am?" she demanded with a pout tapping her foot in idle annoyance.

Ryhdderch starred at Rei'lar, looking a little surprised at how cheerful and open he seemed now a days, he must have done a lot more growing up then Rong had done, his son seemed only to grow in a physical manner which worried him just a little bit, "Rong, you must remember your friend?" He said to the quiet boy.

Rong merely stared at the girl as she demanded things of him, pouting, tapping her foot, but still gave no answer to her though the gears in his mind seemed to be turning if at least a bit as though he were trying to wrap his mind around this change and something... something told him this wasn't quite right. Something was... off. As to what it was he couldn't quite say since he wasn't able to think quite that deeply.

Lar sighed and then looked to the giant cow man. "why will he not talk? My brother was scared of him...but I don't know why." She rambled off as she then leaned in to peer at Rong as if trying to figure out something. "Is he broken?" she asked reaching a hand out to poke at Rong. That gold eye was staring intently at him though.

"Rong has never talked." The Minotaur told her, glancing at Rong. He could tell that the boy seemed more focused when the Kirin was around but even then he wasn't quite... all there, "Broken? I have wondered that from time to time but he might just be developing slower is all." He assured the girl as she poked at Rong and he made no move to stop her, in fact he was almost hoping that she would be able to draw some sort of reactions from his son.

As Rong got poked at he just seemed to stare at the girl in that same quiet manner before he slowly lifted his hand up to turn it toward her, letting his other eye stare at her and it narrowed at her seeming to hold more emotion then the rest of him.

Both golden eyes glared at each other, like some sort of silent war but the girl only poked Rong again before she looked at the hand. "OOOOO you have an eye in the palm of your hand!" she squealed half in delight and the other half in disgust. It was weird and neat all at once! She went to stare at it closer whilst her third eye glared at it.

"Why don't you talk Rong?" She asked though it seemed like she was speaking to the eye....and not Rong himself.

The golden, rather reptilian, eye in the palm of his hand turned slowly to look at the girl for a moment, watching her calmly before it seemed to focus in at on the eye in the center of her forehead that was sending a glare this way. Rong's eyes slowly blinked before he lifted a hand up to poke at Rei'lar's ears thinking that they looked different, bigger, and then he caught hold of one of them, feeling the softness of the fluff there that reminded him of Ryhdderch's fur.

Lar gave a blink and a bit of a yelp as her ear was tugged on. Her other ear flicking backwards as she bit at her lower lip and struggled a bit. "Ow ow ow! Stop that Rong! that's mean!" She squealed with a stamp of her foot though she didn't punch him or try to pull away. Merely throw a small tantrum on the spot.

Liam moved quickly to Lar's side to assist her though he waited for the minotaur to react first as it was his child.

Ryhdderch sighed, "Well... that is... more then what he usually does." He said, lifting a large hand up to rest it gently on his son's head, "You have to ease your hold on your friend's ear, Rong." He told him.

It took a moment but Rong finally released the fluffy ear, his arms lowering to his side, and he starred at her once again as though his tugging on her ear had never happened. He obviously seemed not to understand that he had hurt Rei'lar or that she was going to be mad at him for that, he had just noticed the difference in the size of his friend's ear... he just had no way of explaining it.

Lar scooted back a couple steps and cupped her ear like it was in a lot of pain, it didn't really hurt THAT much but she seemed determined to repay him the favor as she strode up to him and placed her hands on her hips. "That was NOT nice Rong. Say your sorry." She demanded with a stomp of her foot. Yes she knew that Rong didn't talk. Apparently she thought if she demanded it, he would simply decide he could talk.

The boy merely stared at her when she came closer to him, watching her put her hands on her hips, and started to demand more things from him. He starred at her before he once more just stood there. He saw no reason that he should say he was sorry he decided, she was obviously unhurt because there was no blood. His eyes blinked slowly before he took a step forward to close the space between them that much more. There was something about her... what was it that had him feeling... interested? He could only vaguely recall a voice from his dreams, one that sounded impressed with him for meeting this girl, one of the other two... two... he blinked and couldn't recall what it was he was trying to remember about his dream... all he knew is that he and Rei'lar were connected... somehow... his eyes blinked again before they seemed to focus on the third eye located in the girl's forehead as though just now realizing that it was open.

The third eye didn't blink but openly stared or ..rather glared at Rong. Much like her other set of eyes was doing. Glaring. How dare he stand up to her! Even if he hadn't done anything...just simple moved to stand closer to her it was like he was defying her rule. She exaggerated her pose so that she seemed to be pushing out her chest to make herself seem taller. "Say your sorry. You hurt my ear! If you don't I will tell my brother how mean you are!"

Rong merely blinked and he seemed to be thinking on that threat, she would tell... her brother...? He found himself picturing the less aggressive side of Rei'lar and he found himself... worrying a little, that part of this person, the one that he felt he did like as much as he could like someone. He recalled their other meetings, the way that they interacted. He didn't want to see that get ruined because the more aggressive part of the kirin was mad at him... but still there was no sound, as though he were lacking a voice completely even though the Minotaur, and half their village, had heard his voice the night he grew.

Lar looked to him glaring still before finally half turning away her dress swirling around her knees. "FINE! I will let you off easy this time, but only if you push me on the swings." She continued with her list of her demands, "If you push me on the swings then I won't tell my brother." She continued looking at him.

Rong starred at the girl for the longest time, as though things were moving at a snails pace in his mind before he turned around and was walking over toward one of the swings slowly and moved to stand in front of it and seemed as though he were waiting for the Kirin to follow him.

Ryhdderch starred, shock clear on his face, as Rong moved to do as he was told. It was a very simple thing to play on the swings with another child but it was something far different from what was normal behavior with Rong. Needless to say along with the shock there was utter delight that Rong might be able to behave in a normal manner even if for a little while.

Lar's expression lit up like the fourth of July fireworks and she skipped towards the swings obviously pleased that he had listened to her advice. She moved to sit on the swing set all posed like a little lady should be as she waited eagerly to be pushed on the swings.

Liam looked to the minotaur a moment after watching the two interact. Both were behaving strangely for them....he was still getting use to Lar as it was.

The Minotaur looked over at Liam before giving a half shrug, not seeming to understand it either but at least things seemed to be going well enough he thought to himself before he turned back to watching quietly so that he could make sure that continued to behave himself.

Rong watched the girl as she sat down on the swing before he moved forward, lifting his hands, and pushed his hands against her back to get the girl to swinging. It was the most involved he'd been, seeming always to be the sort of watch instead of being involved.

The girl gave a small giggling glee as she was pushed. She was really happy to be on the swing set with him pushing her. It could of been anyone...but some how it felt more triumphant with it being Rong doing it.

"hiiiigher Rong...HIIIIGHER!" she squealed pumping her legs to help gain momentum.

Liam watched the two before he moved closer to Ryhdderch, "It seems both our children have grown in some interesting ways.." he murmured.

Rong seemed to be at least trying to do as he was told to do, it wasn't exactly as though he were the best at pushing people in swings but at least he was just sitting on a swing by himself doing nothing. As such it had the minotaur perking up as though he were hoping that this was a good sign, that he was going to be waiting up and doing better after this... though he wondered if the reason he was reacting in such a manner was because of Rei'lar, the times he seemed the most animated, relatively speaking, was around the Kirin.

"That they have." He murmured then looked over at Liam, "How have you been since last we met, Liam?" He asked, deciding since it looked as though the kids were doing alright that he might be able to strike up a conversation with the interesting being at his side.

Lar was ecstatic being on the swings, something about flying in the air made her very happy. She closed her eyes feeling the wind in her hair and the pumping of her legs the feel of Rong's hand on her back as he pushed her. It really was quite peaceful. How...dull. Her attention span was short and her pleasure of being on the swings quickly faded. One last high pump she on a split second decision released the swings and flew forward. It was exciting... until the ground rushed up to meet her. She crashed, her footing slipping under her as she skinned her knees and hands as she prevented herself from face planting into the ground.

She bit back tears. She couldn't cry. Not here...not in front of a boy! But she choked back little sobs as she moved to sit on her butt. Her dress crumbled and she looked like she was trying so hard to not burst into tears as blood welled up from her hands and knees.

Rong seemed a bit surprised when the girl went flying out of her swing and he seemed to only move when she collided with the ground and he could smell... blood? His brown eyes widened slightly before he set to trotting forward looking almost as though he had interest in what was going on with the Kirin child. He paused when he reached her, looking her over before he knelt down in front of Lar and looked her over more closely... then reached out to catch hold of her wrists in his hands, turning her hands over so he could look the wounds over, almost fascinated by them as it was the first time he'd seen such a thing.

Lar was trying very hard to not cry, especially with Rong now touching her and holding her hands. It hurt! Didn't this jerk know how to treat a girl when she was hurt? Sniffling she yanked her hands away from him and pulled her arms close to her body. "That hurts...st..stop it. " she hiccuped giving him a glare and trying to stand but it hurt to still.

Rong watched as she pulled her hands away from him and moved them to hide her wounds against her body. He followed after them a distance but not so move as to try to grab at her again, sure that he would get in trouble if he were to do that again. He seemed to be debating it for a moment before he reached out to pat the girl on the head in a manner that his Father had done to him on many occasions before in the past.

Lar hiccuped again and she paused when having her head patted, she unsteadily turned around to look at him before she chewed on her lower lip and burst out crying and wrapped her arms around him. She didn't want to cry. Really she didn't but it hurt! and he patted her on the head like he cared!

The boy blinked a couple of times when she was suddenly clinging to him like a leech, he looked down at her in a curious manner. It was... odd. She seemed clingy, wasn't she? She was crying as well... his hand that had been patting her on the head wrapped around her awkwardly, hand patting her back as though that would make better whatever the pat to the head had obviously done wrong.

Looking over toward the pair from the chat he was having with Liam the minotaur tilted his head to the side, wondering what they had missed when they looked away from a few moments, eyes a bit wide and worried, "Rong, Rei'lar, are you two alright?" He called out to them.

"I..its..L..laar..." The girl managed to choke out as she sniffled against Rong. His clothes were plain and he was plain and he was kinda boring...but he held her nice. And patted her back.

Liam seemed to wonder what exactly they had missed whilst discussing their children's changes. It was apparent when he spotted blood on her knees. "Oh..you got hurt." he stated as he walked over.

She nodded her head but continued to cling to Rong as if he would make her pain stop.

Ryhdderch pushed up onto his hooves and trotted over toward the children, leaning over to get a look at the wounds before he looked to Liam, "Ahh... its appears that Lar is going to need to get her wounds patched up." He said, figuring that they should likely untangle the pair so that they could be on their way. Lar appeared as though she needed to be fixed up by her father and he felt that once the Kirin was gone that his son would become his normal, overly sedate self once more.

Liam nodded his head, leaning over to gently unwrap the girls arms from around Rong before picked her up. She was quiet...unusually so since when she had first arrived she was very demanding and loud. "Yes...I better go take care of her....perhaps we shall see each other again soon." He stated with a nod to the minotaur. Being a robot he found her fairly light to carry shifting her in his arms as he began to move away. Lar was watching Over Liam's shoulder giving Rong a small wave as her hand still hurt.

Ryhdderch nodded as he reached out to pluck Rong from the ground where he remained after Lar was taken away from him and he lifted him up, looking him over, "Hmm... your going to need rinsed off." He murmured to the boy, his clothing was stained with blood he'd gotten on himself from being so close to the injured Lar. His attention turned to Liam and he nodded, "Yes, let us hope the next visit goes better. It was nice seeing you again, Liam." He said as he sat his son on his shoulder to perch there. He watched the pair as they headed off before turning to head in the direction of home.

Blood for Blood

He was walking down that long hallway again, there was darkness all around him with only that one single point of light at the end. The scent of incense in the air was still as strong as the last time that he had been here but it was a scent that was sweet and somehow dangerous, it made a chill go up the spine of the young boy. In the darkness was the sound of his foot steps as he was drawn forward toward the point of light as though he were being pulled along by a puppeteer's strings and even though he didn't want to move forward, as though he knew something bad was there, he had no choice...

As he stepped into the throne room he could see the floating points of light that were the lanterns that lit up a path from the door way to where the throne was standing and sitting on it was the cloaked, robed figured who wasn't moving but instead just waiting as Rong walked toward him and came to a stop in front of him, "Have you come once more to pay me a visit? I must say that your last visit was a bit of a disappointment, let us hope this time around you will be less so given I did gift you with a touch of my power."

The voice caused a shiver to go through Rong and made the silent boy take on a look to him that made him seem less human and more doll like. He stood there with a somewhat glazed look on his face as though what little personality he'd been developing was brushed aside like a delicate spider's web. The robed figure reached out to him, catching hold of his cheeks, and drew him in close so that he could look him over, "Ahh... even with a touch of my power you still remain just as ugly as ever... I see that you are at least bigger, that is a good sign, a very good sign." The time was fast approaching, wasn't it? He was pleased about at least that, even if the boy were still a bit on the dull side it was something that could yet be fixed.

"I must say that this dull state your body in reminds me a bit of a story I heard once about an ugly duckling... only I can assure you that you won't be becoming a swan." He murmured before he paused, leaning in closer, then sniffed at him, "Mmm, what is that tantalizing scent that is clinging to you?"

The robed figure, who was until this point nothing more then cruel when it came to Rong, was suddenly now curious as he tried to find the source of the wonderful aroma. He knew that... that scent, it was so beautiful... but where was it that he had... his eyes went wide and he gave a gasp as it seemed to finally click, "Blood, your have the other Beast God's blood on you!" He sounded rather impressed and pleased, while he had no idea what had brought about the spilling of the Kirin's blood he was pleased to find that this creature was bathed in it. Even had he know that the blood had gotten onto him by accident it was doubtful that he would have been disappointed since the blood was still there.

"I am most impressed, I would never have thought you capable of spilling his blood, you have done very well... so perhaps you need a nice reward?" He slid a strong hand up to catch hold of Rong by his chin, tilting his head back, then opened up his mouth. After the boy's mouth was open he lifted his free hand to his mouth so that he could use his sharp teeth to p***k on of his fingertips. The hand was lifted to allow a few drops of his blood to drip into the boy's mouth, he waited for him to swallow, and he released Rong from his grasp, "There you are, now... you should wake up and see how this has affected you." He said, making a dismissing motion with his hand.

*****

A moment after he was dismissed Rong's eyes popped open and he found himself sitting up in bed, looking around in confused manner, eyes wide.
