((It's not your fault. I just can't think in the morning.))
"Thanks." Chis called back up the hole. She could hear the powerful claws of a wolf moving the dirt. She stood up again and coughed. Her pale blue eyes looked around but saw nothing. She sighed and scented the air instead. Dirt. Heat. At least three wolves. And... the faintest traces of fire, electricity, and metal. She waited for the wolves to help her humiliated at the fact that she even had to be helped in the first place. Her eyes went back slightly and her tail drooped. She licked her chest and then coughed for a moment. Her once pure white pelt was covered in dust and dirt making her look like a brownish gray wolf. She gave her coat a shake and then sneezed as the dust filled the air.
Chi coughed again and growled, "I hate dust." She aimed another leap out of the hole and crashed back down to the ground. She landed on her feet this time.

Vakia stood on the other side of the swiftly growing hole, peering into the darkness below. She waited until Aethern's digging slowed, then pushed her head into the hole, wiggled her shoulders and squeezed into the hole. She sneezed loudly, there was dust everywhere. She waited for a moment, allowing her eyes to adjust to the dark, her coat gently lighting the area with it's static. She saw a wolf, a light colored female from what she could see, but her eyes were a pale blue. Vakia realized she was blind.
Vakia wagged her tail softly. "Are you alright?" she asked, cautiously approaching. The wolf seemed to have no visible wounds, but being thorough wouldn't hurt. "She looks ok", Vakia called to Aethern above. "How long have you been stuck down here?" she asked, moving closer.

"I'm fine." Chi replied in an irritated voice. She sneezed. "And I've been down here for a week. I think." She shook her coat again, sending dust and dirt up from the hole. "You wouldn't happen to know if there's any water near here, do you?" she asked, forcing her voice to return to it's normal self. She coughed slightly and then muttered to herself, "If I have to breath this any longer..." She turned to the wolf that was in the hole, locating her by scent. Chi was now calm and quiet. "I'm sorry. I'm just losing my patience down here." she said quietly, in her velvet voice. She sat down and scented the air again. This wolf smelled of lightning. The lighning scent made Chi very nervous and jittery. She shook her pelt again and little bits of ice flew from her pelt. Her fur touched the other wolf's in the small space. Chi's was cold and covered with frost, while the other wolf's was warm. "My name is Chi, by the way."

Vakia shivered as tiny ice shards flew through the air. "A week!" she exclaimed. "We'd better find you some water. But first, we have to get out of this hole. And it's a pleasure to meet you Chi, I'm Vakia." She guided Chi by the shoulder to the hole's exit. She called up to Aethern. "Ready for lifting!" She walked to behind Chi and braced herself in the event that she slip backwards.
Snowbell had made her way towards where Aethern waited near a large hole in the dirt. She surveyed the situation, seeing a light-colored wolf in the dark hole below. The dry gorge was slowly cooling as the afternoon progressed, and her strength readily returning. She smelled the air, the scent of pure ice filled her nose. Her tail wagged. "Anything I can do to help?" she asked.
Vakia heard Snowbell's voice coming from the surface. "Snowbell! You made it!" she said, "This wolf needs water!"
Snowbell smiled, glad to be needed. She trotted off with her nose to the ground. She wandered about fifty yards across the riverbed until she scented moisture. She gingerly placed her ear to the ground. Destruction chose the moment to chime in. "So this trapped wolf, we don't know anything about her do we?" "Quiet Destruction", Snowbell replied, trying to listen. "Just like you don't know anything about this fire wolf fellow. If I would've been in charge, he wouldn't have avoided questioning. How do you know he isn't the enemy? Hasn't the calling seemed satisfied since he arrived." Snowbell shook her head. "Quiet!" she demanded. Destruction scoffed once more before going quiet. Snowbell once again put her ear on the ground and heard the soft rumble of water below. She focused until she could feel it moving. She summoned it to the surface, and it bubbled fresh and cool from the cracks in the Earth. "I've got water!" she called to Aethern.

Chi shuddered at the thought of being helped more. She put her paws up until she could feel the top of the hole. She made some calculations in her head and then jumped, in a quick, smooth fasion. Her front half made it up but she could not get up all the way. She had made a miscalculation. Her back paws scrabbled for a hold in the dirt, as she tried to hoist herself up. She was weak from the lack of water. She grunted with the effort and then heaved herself up. "Finally." she panted. She took in a deep breath, happy to have fresh air. She ran in a a circle around the area glad for the space. She flopped down on her side and sighed with contentment.

 || A pyro's heart is not the one to be mishandled. || § His orange eyes widened slightly, a week? A week she had been trapped. He was slightly amazed, but water was waiting for her and he could go off and get a quick kill. Decades of traveling made him an excellent tracker. He heard what Vakia said and nodded, about to lower himself into the hole and lift her, but the femme - now known as Chi - jumped before he could even get closer to the hole. He blinked but watched as she got up herself. He noticed she was already weak so he took several steps back, his large body warmed the area intensely, and he did not want to weaken her anymore. "Water is to the left." He stated, looking at Snowbell and nodding. He then looked around, taking a deep breath. Many scents flooded through his powerful nose, he sorted them out and eventually found what he was looking for, grass and several deer scents. He went back to the hole and peered into it, "She got up, she is now resting... I'll bring back some food.. we are probably all hungry." With that, he passed Chi and then Snowbell, heading towards the scents that he needed.
§ You're being too nice... that's dangerous. He thought to himself, growling softly once he was far enough. He shot a glance backwards, looking at the slowly vanishing femmes before looking forward. He started to debate to just leave without the knowledge and go on his merrily way or stay. The farther he got, the more tempting to leave got. But he kept to his path, slowly advancing towards the deer. He saw a large buck, one that promised delectable meat under his fur. It was quite large too, it would easily feed a starving Chi, and possibly two other hungry wolves. He was not that hungry, for he had hunted earlier this morning. As he came closer the deer noticed him, the two does ran off, and the buck stood his ground and lowered his horns. Aethern growled and started to run towards the buck, once he was close enough, he dodged the powerful horns and easily grabbed a hold of the neck and with slammed weight, it was broken easily.
§ He snorted and dropped the carcass for a moment, looking back towards the way where the three femmes were. Most likely waiting for him to bring back to the food. I already killed it... might as well bring it. He then grabbed the broken neck and easily started to drag the carcass back to the area. It was a several minute walk back with about another good five-hundred pound animal he had to drag. Once he got there, he dropped the carcass beside Snowbell and the water. He then stepped away and sat several yards away, licking his maw clean of the excess blood that had spilled from the neck. The ladies would eat first.

Vakia's tail wagged excitedly at Aethern's words, tiny sparks bouncing off the hole's walls. Food. Food was good. She crouched and leapt from the hole. She shook vigorously to remove the pesky dirt once again. Chi lay comfortably on her side, and Snowbell had just trotted over.
Snowbell snorted as dust and dirt flew from Vakia's coat. "I found water!" she said.
Vakia's tail wagged again. She raced to the now bubbling pool, a little too quickly. Her claws connected with the water on the edge of the pool and a jolt shook her body. "Ahaha!" she yelped. Tiny blue spots filled her vision. She took more care the second time, leaning her head forward to drink. The cool water was very refreshing.
Snowbell laughed loudly at Vakia's blunder, then turned to the female laying down. "Sorry we haven't been properly introduced. I'm Snowbell. And you're Chi I hear." she smiled.
Aethern returned quickly, dragging a fine buck behind him. He sat next to his kill waiting. "Don't mind if I do!" Vakia said, as she took a large chunk from the buck's hindquarters. "Thanksh Aefern" she said through her full mouth.
"Vakia!" chided Snowbell. "Excuse her rudeness" she said, mock growling at her friend. Vakia tried to apologize while still swallowing, and Snowbell gave her a look. "Go ahead Chi" she said, "I'll keep Thunderstomach over there away while you eat."
Vakia laughed, spilling meat from her mouth in a very unladylike fashion. "If you can catch me!" Vakia taunted, tackling Snowbell, then trying to run off, but Snowbell caught her tail and Vakia rolled to the ground. The two romped, laughing, eventually collapsing into a giggling heap. "So Chi" asked Vakia from under Snowbell, "where ya from?"

Ryu finally found where Valkia went, he traveled far once when she ran off when the storm happened. " Valkia " His breath was hard and quick. " I have come with you, but i sort of lost my way." He gave a sigh and his tongue rolled over the side of his mouth. His tail was, swishing buack and forth. The black wolf was hot after his run oalone to catch up from the group. he sat down, and licked the side of his pelt. " So what happened when i was away on my own when we got seprated when the storm hit?" He looked at her with a curooius little pup look.

Vakia turned her head to see a black wolf approaching before Chi could answer. She stood, Snowbell rolling off her, and trotted in his direction. The wind shifted and blew his scent towards the waiting wolves. It was Ryu. The female smiled widely.
"Oh the storm!" Vakia replied, after Ryu had spoken. "Snowbell and myself ran here, there was some weird calling, and we met Chi and Aethern!" she said, motioning to the two wolves in attendance. "Sorry I didn't realize we left you behind," she said sheepishly, tucking her tail between her legs "but I almost left Snowbell too....um, there's a nice buck from Aethern, and some water Snowbell called from the ground if you're hungry or thirsty."
((Alright, we're all here except Sero and chapter two is about to start. I'll PM him and tell him to get his wolfy butt up here XD, everyone needs to get up to the plateau and get to sleep, then I'll post the prologue to chapter two!))

Snowbell yawned, "I'm going to go to the plateau and get some sleep." She waved at Ryu."I don't know why we're trusting all of these wolves. Let me out completly and I could kill this monster myself." Destruction said pushing to get out."If I let you out you would kill all of us and then go and kill that monster." Snow mumbled to Destruction.
(I made a rp myself and I would be very happy if you guys would join!! mrgreen )

 || A pyro's heart is not the one to be mishandled. || § Aethern watched the scenes between Snowbell and Vakia and felt a smirk come across his maw. They were amusing, he wondered where they found each other. He saw the other male and ears went against his head. Aethern by nature was territorial, and two males were sometimes not a good thing. He did however promise Vakia that he would be on his best behavior.
§ Pfhht, you are going to keep a promise to a complete stranger? He ignored that thought and stood up, seeing everybody who wanted to eat, ate. He went to the buck and dug his large paws on the shoulder and then the rump and dug in. He took a couple of large bites and chewed them fast, like a blood thirsty monster. It was just how he ate, in the wild by yourself, you had to be fierce to eat and live. Then he stepped away from the buck, having his fill and looked at the thin path that would lead back up to the plateau. He growled softly, "Rest sounds good, who knows what tomorrow holds."
§ He growled once more, starting up the thin path. Rocks falling and the space limited for his large body. The process took ten minutes, where it should have taken only a couple of minutes or so. Aggravated, the large brute finally made it to the top, laying far away from the trees. Flame started to pop around the body, warming the area around him. He watched the path, making sure everybody made it up.
