Atem felt kinda disappointed when Sam's first reaction was a 'wow' meaning that she was impressed. Atem wasn't bad at sports, but his forte was in games. And Joey was better at sports then him. He looked at Sam and nodded with a smile when she said they had to try harder. He was ready, he was going to show Joey that he could beat him at his own game.

Akiko giggled a little, "Me neither!" She was only about one or two inches taller then Yugi so she two couldn't reach the net. That was ok, she didn't mind her height. It wasn't as bad for females she supposed. Akiko laughed, she was pretty sure Joey was showing as well. "Oh? That must of been scary! They already don't get along that well," she said a little lowly so only Yugi could hear. She peeked over to see Joey's reaction.

Joey scratched his head and flushed a little when Yugi said he was showing off. Yea, he was. Ah he was just teasing him though, everything was ok. Rather than Joey getting mad at the subject of Kaiba, he laughed happily. "Yea me and him competed pretty much everyday! Sorry about that Yug," he said scratching his head some more. When he gets competitive in sports he usually blocks out everything else. This year however, he was more focused on having a good time with his friends. He didn't want to say it out loud, but he really enjoyed gym class last year- sure he had to put up with Kaiba's attitude, but the competition between them was simply amazing! Joey jokingly got angry at Sam, "No he didn't!" He then crossed his arms and paused for a moment. "Ok fine so he beat me in a few more sports then I beat him in," he said then looked at Sam again. "Ok fine he beat me a lot! But your brother is crazy I tell you! I've never been one uped in gym class! I'm shocked he doesn't work out all day instead of running his company like he says he's doing!" he said.

"Oh come on Joey, I thought sports was your thing. You couldn't beat Kaiba?" Atem partially joked and partially insulted. He smirked a little, "I was able to beat Kaiba, Joey you should be able to easily."

"But I'm talking about sports, not games," he said raising an eyebrow.

"You've also have yet to beat him in games as well," he added. He wanted to point out that Joey hasn't beaten one of the best people and Atem himself has. "Then again you have yet to beat me in a game," he added. He couldn't help it, he wanted to reinforce the fact he was better then Joey in games. Perhaps not sports, but in games yes.

"Yea but I can still beat you in sports," he said taking it more seriously.

"We'll just have to see," he added becoming a bit more serious as well but still smirking.

"Oh the final score?" Joey said looking over at Yugi with his normal peaceful face. "He beat me by one point. I was so close!" he answered him.

Atem watched the ball as Sam set it. He smirked, ready to spike it. He couldn't spike it as well as Joey could, but he was able to do so and towards Joey.

Joey was actually pretty shocked he made a clean hit over and at the speed he hit it at. It was near his side but he was too slow to react and missed it. The ball hit the ground. He instantly turned and said, "Akiko!"

"What!?" she exclaimed. "Hey hey don't blame me! I couldn't reach that from here! Besides I thought you had it," she said a bit defensively only because she felt he was blaming her. She rolled her eyes blowing it off. Akiko took the ball and rolled it to the other side, unsure who was going to serve on their team. She then looked at Yugi and smiled, "Yay! I serve next time."

[[welcome back. haha no problem, I won't be near the computer until Wed, or maybe a quick post in the morning. I was away this whole week myself getting a lot of things done and helping my mom with lots and lots of errands. That's not too bad really. Among doing all this other stuff/hanging out with friends, I got a moving sale to do (for my G-ma's house) toward the end of next week. No prob, thanks for letting me know :3 After I take a shower I may jump back on tonight]]

Joey felt his cheeks warm up for no reason when Sam mentioned that Kaiba worked out. He made himself frown at the thought of it. Of course that's why he was so good, why didn't he think of that? "Me especially?" he repeated and asked her. He wasn't sure if he was insulted or flattered. He glared again at Atem, seeing that even Sam was teasing him because of one miss due to Atem. He'd make sure he didn't miss again.

Atem felt pretty good about what he did. He'll have to keep it up now, surely Joey wants to impress Sam even more. Usually Atem didn't outwardly celebrate his victories, but he couldn't resist a high five from Sam. Not for the touch since a high five was so casual, but for the fact she recognized his achievement. He had her attention and he was impressing her, not Joey. And that's what made him happy. He looked over at Yugi and deep down he knew he shouldn't take it so seriously, but he couldn't help trying to beat Joey in impressing Sam. He had to! If Joey won he would just gloat about how she should have been on his team. It would just lead to more bragging. Atem took one last look at Sam before he turned to face the net. If only he kept his eyes on her longer he would have seen Tea purposly aim the ball at Sam. But he didn't need to see it to know she did it on purpose. Atem's eyes widened at first from shock- worried about Sam. "Are you ok!?" he said kneeing down next to her with his arm on her shoulder. "Does your head still hurt?" he asked immediately afterwards wanting to stroke her head but was lucky enough to have his hand on her shoulder. He glared back at Tea. "If it's going to 'slip' out of your hand then don't serve!" he said strictly and with a hint of irritation. He knew the two girls didn't like each other but Tea didn't have to act like a spoiled child and hurt Sam! He backed away and returned to his spot, keeping an eye on Tea as well.

"Ooo!" Joey said seeing how hard she was hit. "You ok there missy? That was a hard hit!" he said also concerned but not as much as Atem. Obviously he was concerned, that was his friend- but he didn't see through Tea's actions and thought it was a mistake. "Oh chill out Atem, it was an accident," he said foolishly.

Akiko giggled at Sam's teasing towards Joey. She couldn't help it, she certainly wasn't taking the game seriously. She looked back at Yugi and tried to hold back a laugh, "Why so serious?" she joked using a Joker reference. Again, she couldn't help it. She didn't really see the competitive tension between Joey and Atem, even though something felt strange between them. "I'll get that point back, don't you worry!" she said cutely confidently. Though she wasn't really set on winning so she wasn't overly confident or anything. Akiko gasped and jumped when she saw the ball make contact with Sam's head. "Sam!" she said shocked. Tea did that on purpose didn't she! Or at least Akiko thought so. She was still aggitated herself with Tea so she was kind of making assumptions. But it could be true, the two girls didn't like each other. Oh and it sounded like it hurt! Poor Sam. Well, at least they were watching her this time. Akiko certainly didn't think Tea was very strong nor that she could hit the ball hard at all. She was mistaken. She barely had time to react to the ball that was blazing toward her. The only thing she could think of doing was blocking her face from being hit and trying to jump backwards. However, she was so startled from the whole sinerio that after she blocked the ball with her arms she tripped over her own feet and fell right on her rear. Needless to say she was embarassed. The blush on her face was enough to prove that.

It wasn't that Joey didn't care about Akiko, he just had horrible timing in finding humor. He ended up laughing when Akiko tripped up. "You're supposed to hit the ball Akiko, not be scared of it," he joked.

"JOEY THAT'S NOT FUNNY!!!" she said partially comically but still a little mad at him for laughing. "See? This is why I said your like a brother, an annoying little brother," she said throwing the ball at him still mad but still kind of joking. "Gah.... my rear...." Akiko said rubbing her lower back. She peeked up at Yugi, feeling rather stupid. She could take Joey laughing at her but not him.

Atem looked back at Tea after he saw what she did, again. "I suppose your hand slipped again?" he said sarcastically and irritated.

Akiko felt realized that Yugi didn't laugh. In fact, he came to help her up which made her happy. Once up he started to say that he was glad it didn't hit her in the face cause she was...... pretty? She blushed as well too. Was that what he was going to say? It was the only thing that fit. But he stopped and moved away from her. She was confused! Did he simply not mean to say it? Did he want to? She really wanted him to come out and say it! Cause she was way too nervous to tell him how she felt. Not to mention, she's never been called pretty before- not without poor intentions behind it. There were a lot of students here that asked here out- she figured only because she was an exchange student. But nobody really complimented her like that unless they wanted something, and what those other students wanted was to say that they got with the exchange student. Or so that's how Akiko saw it. She still smiled at Yugi none-the-less. He seemed all nervous which was kinda cute, but she didn't want him to be uncomfortable. She smiled, even though she was confused as anything.

Atem could tell Sam was getting fed up with this. He didn't blame her. He watched Tea serve again, glaring at her telling her not to try anything more. When Akiko served back the ball, he knew he couldn't reach it so he let Sam get it. He only caught a glimpse of her hit, but it didn't go foreward. It spun back and hit Tea in the face. He didn't laugh, but he knew she had it coming to her. Almost instantly, Tea accused Sam of hurting her. "How funny you accuse so quickly. Was it not just an accident just like when you hit Sam before?" he said. He was actually proud of Sam, she did not point her finger at Tea when she purposely hit her. Atem didn't care if Sam did it on purpose, because he knew Tea hit her before by purpose previously.

Joey thought it was an accident as well, even though he was close and could see it. He just couldn't see what exactly was going on. "Aw come on Tea, just an accident. Sheesh, you women are full of accidents today," he said jokingly. Since Sam missed, that means they would be serving again. "Ok, our turn to serve now," he said getting the ball back and passing it to Akiko. "Hey guys, I know we should all rotate, but can I stay up here in the front?" he asked, "not that I don't trust you two up in the front, but still. Besides, it's just a friendly match- we don't have to go by all the rules." He gave a look to Atem. He wasn't done with him yet. Oh no. He wanted to make sure that Atem got the point that Sam was more interested in him. Joey was certain that if he made his point clear, Atem would back off.

"Doesn't bother me," she said, "but don't you want to serve next time?" She caught the ball and walked toward Yugi's position so they could switch. She thought about serving it, 'slipping' and hitting Tea in the knee caps, but it would seem like she did it by purpose if she did it now. Oh well, wasn't worth it. She served it regularly toward the front.

Atem looked back at Joey, he knew exactly what he was doing. Whatever, he could deal with him. The ball came toward him so he served it up and back towards Sam. "Sam!" he called out to her so she knew to hit it over.

[[Oh cool! XD My friend has her belly button pierced too. Oh god, just be careful if you get any type of belly ring that is fancy- make sure if doesn't cling to anything. My friend had a dragon one that was pretty and she forgot it was there, we were in the pool and she jumped onto the boogie board (on her stomach) D: she didn't rip it but she said it hurt :<. But otherwise they are easy to care for from what I heard.

hahaha! Sam can have her's pierced already if you want XD Oh goodness, I can see her trying to convince Akiko XD I see Yugi not liking the idea, thinking if she got that one she would get all these other crazy piercings XDXDXD hahahaha. I don't think Akiko even has ear piercings since I don't myself. Well I did, but I got crap earrings that infected my ears and gave me keliods. Now I can't get them pierced again.

Does you parents now? Did they let you? My mom is pretty chill, she wants me to get a tattoo with her XD ]]

[[Just wanted to let you know that now until the 31st of August I won't have internet on my computer. I'm going to temporarily use my Wii with keyboard again for the time being. I hate Verizon, they won't do d**k until the 31st >.>

Also [because I forgot to comment last time] yea, we should have gym class and school end soon. We can finish up the remainder of the scene and possibly skip to the end of the school day. Then Seto could be there waiting for his sister? Then I guess they could all get ready for the sushi/hibatchi?]]

[[oh fun fun, wait until you see how much books are >.> a little ridiculous but you need them. But hey, when your done with them for the semester/year- you can always go on amazon and see if they will give you more for it then your schools buy back. That's what we used to do, and when I go back next year I'll still do it XD You can also try to get your books online (aka amazon) if you like- just as a suggestion.

Ugh, don't remind me about wisdom teeth >.> I was supposed to get two removed this summer and I never did @_@ I'm going to have to do that sooner or later. Plus my b/f wants me to go to the doctor because he thinks I have a pre-ulcer. He thinks that because he had one and now apparently I'm showing signs of it >.>

Akiko also wasn't really keeping score, she was too busy just talking with Yugi. She did want to play a little, but Joey kept hogging the ball! He practically lept from one side of the court to the other. Usually she would complain but how could she? She got to basically hang out with Yugi the whole time. Of course, she felt bad when he got hit in the head with the ball. She kinda felt it was her fault for distracting him.

Joey raised both arms up and cheered, "That was an awesome game! I practically took on your whole team!" he gloated. He then shrugged a little and bragged some more, "I mean, not that you guys weren't any help, but I did most of the work."

Akiko playfully glared and pouted at Joey. "That's cause you wouldn't let either of us hit the ball you ball hog!" she yelled at him. She stuck her tongue out at him and made her way to the dressing room.

Atem couldn't believe how ridiculous both Tea and Joey were acting. Especially Tea. But everytime she 'slipped' so did Sam. And he was glad Sam acted back- she shouldn't have to put up with it. Everytime Atem said something to Tea she would just play it off. He couldn't through to her at all. She was just lucky that she was Yugi and Joey's friend- otherwise he wouldn't be holding back. And if she did have respect for him and Yugi, he would have pulled her off to the side like a friend and explain to her what she was doing. But no, she had no respect for him, Yugi, or Sam. Therefore, he felt like she was a lost cause. No matter how many times he told her to stop she wouldn't listen. He openly celebrated with Sam when they scored, he could get used to it. He returned her high five, chuckling a little bit. The class was over with, he would have to wait to hang out with her again during lunch and then again after school. He really couldn't wait. Especially for after school. As she walked into the girls locker room he walked with Yugi and Joey to the boys locker room. He narrowed his eyes at Joey, hopefully Joey got everything out of his system and would chil out the rest of the day.

Joey stared at the clock like a hawk, running his own count down in his head. He tapped his finger and rocked his leg impatiently. Could the clock go any slower? Then FINALLY! The bell rang and he was free from school! He stood up and raised his arms up again cheering, "YES! No more school! Summer va-k, here I come!" He rushed out of the room as well looking around for his friends. However, the first thing he saw was his buddy being moshed by rampaging students- who were also excited about the end of the year. He pushed through the crowd to help his friend out as well. He met up with Sam as well. "You ok there buddy?" he said to him. He then raised his fist jokingly and shouted, "You people are like animals! Animals you hear me!" He recieved a few laughs from the crowd as well as a few 'shut up Joey's. One girl walked by that was particularly attractive and Joey added, "Phew! And if you were an animal you would be a sexy cheetah!" The girl scowled at him and slapped him in the face. Joey rubbed his cheak and said, "Ow."

The bell rang and practically everybody ran out of the class room. Akiko on the other hand held onto her stuff for dear life. She could easily get trampled on as well. She was the last to get out of her class. "Oh man....." she said grabbing her bag and running to the door way. The halls were swamped! Christ! How was she going to get out? She didn't want to be last to meet up with her friends. She leaned against the doorway and playfully pouted, "Ehhheh! I wanna go too!" But she had to wait for the crowd to end before she even tried.

Atem left with the crowd, trying not to get squished by people. Was it always like this? He wanted to find Sam first but it seemed Joey got to her first, again. Well it wasn't too bad, as he met up with the group Joey was already flirting with some other woman. How could Sam even be remotely interested in someone who went around trying to get in everyone's pants? He cringed a little when Joey was slapped. He smirked a little, but still felt bad. He looked to see Yugi was there too. "You alright there?" he asked as well. Right after asking, he got hit with someone's bag who went to swing it onto their shoulder. He heard a distant 'sorry!' as he rubbed the back of his head.
