Valiant shifted uncomfortably and shot up at the sound of Youko’s voice. Her stomach churned and she groaned unpleasantly. The smell of blood clouded all her other senses and made it hard for her to even open her eyes. She sat up hesitantly and tried to hold down her food. With dull eyes she looked over to Youko and back to Kieran before standing up and running towards the store restroom.
Aidan looked at the male with exasperation and tried not to wine. “Why the hell are you here, now of all times?” He ran a hand through his hair and looked over at his brother and the possible sleeping Ishtar. Yeah, the Brady bunch on crack and one too many martini's, if you added their new addiction to the mix.

Hikari looked at the male or at least he sounded like a male stand in the door way. Who the hell was he? She'd never seen him before, but something about him told her he wasn't one to mess with. He was gorgeous she had to give him that much, if she hadn't such strong feelings for Aidan she'd have been fawning over him.
Youko merely grinned. "I have the strangest sense of following my Anbu at occasion on their little side trips. Valiant happened to be my target today." he said with a smile as though it really were nothing special at all. He gave a shrug and winked at Hikari and flashed her a smile. "Looks like there's been some trouble." he said becoming more professional in an instant he walked over and look at the hole in Kieran's neck. "The would should the bandaged and covered in feverfew." he said. He'd seen cat live through much worse wounds, but he could tell Kieran had lost a lot of blood.

Aidan looked at the male, trying to resist the urge to scream. What the hell? That’s all such bullshit. “If you’re so curious about Val why don’t you go and find out what the hell is wrong with her, she’s not the type to swoon at a wound, while I deal with my brother.” Aidan hugged Hikari close and kissed her forehead, obviously marking his territory against this ‘male’ and went to his brother, wondering how the hell it had stopped bleeding. “Hikari could you inspect the boy, I’m worried about him.” Aidan skillfully put disinfectant on the wound and was mighty glad his brother was not awake to feel the stinging, and then he wrapped the bandages, applying just enough pressure. The Siberian had to do it many times to himself over the past year. “I’m going to take him upstairs now, if I remember correctly there are a few pillows and clean sheets left in the upper most bedroom.” He eyed Youko, and then looked back to Hikari. He would have to trust her.
… Meanwhile
Valiant was shaking in the bathroom; her head was resting on her knees as she tried to figure out what the hell was wrong with her. Yes she loved Kieran once, but this was a bit much, usually she looked upon wounds in a cool calculating manner, and yet here she was, freaking out in a bathroom when she could be doing something useful. Her baby boy was laying in the main room in a crumpled ball, what the hell was she doing in a bathroom. She sighed and leaned back against the wall trying not to cry. And of course it had to be Youko, someone she was pretty sure hated her. She lightly banged her head against the wall as she figured out what the hell her next move was. Deep down she knew she should just leave, but now, now she wanted a little word with Percy, and it would not be pleasant.

Youko shrugged. "I'm not worried about her, just curious of where she was going." he said holding up his hands. One look at Ishtar told him the boy was just unconscious, nothing much to be worried about. When Aidan made his actions clear that Hikari was his he laughed. "Oh don't worry yourself, you can keep the girl, I'm not interested in philanthropy tonight when there's mayhem afoot." he laughed. Watching Aidan leave off with his brother.
Hikari blushed under Aidan's apparent mark of territory towards her. But she did as he asked. She turned her attention to the poor boy. Curled up in that tight little ball. She took his shoulder and gave him a small shake. When that didn't work she lifted him up a little and pulled him onto her lap. "Hey, baby..." she called out in a quiet voice into his ear. "Wake up." she asked. She hoped there wasn't anything wrong with him. But she could tell that this was one of Kieran's children, it was easy to see the resemblance.

Ishtar stirred pressing closer to Hikari, and closing his eyes tight. “Val? I guess I should have picked a less powerful deity to call upon. I’m tired now, and all worn out.” Ishtar buried his face into the other Manx’s arms and sighed contentedly.
Aidan took his time putting Kieran to bed, he wanted it to be comfortable for his still brother, and when he was all situated Aidan kissed his forehead and headed back to the stair way.
Val finally pulled herself from the wall and went back out to join the others, quietly composing herself. When Youko was near however she found herself near another break down. What the hell? She walked to him and buried her face in his chest, mumbling quietly. “I’m so sorry Youko… I don’t… I don’t know what’s wrong with me.” She resisted the urge to run out that door and away from all the pain, but she could not do much else.

Hikari gave a smile as Ishtar pressed himself close to her. "Not quite baby." she said petting her hair. But she understood what he meant. He must have called upon one of the goddesses to help heal his father. The poor thing. "You did the right thing though, more than likely you just saved his life." she said smiling down at him. He was so young...it must have been terrible to have to try and heal ones own father like that.
Youko wrapped an arm around Valiant patting her back. "There, there, it's all right Val." he said. "Everything will be fine." he assured her. He smiled at Hikari with Ishtar, she must do well with children without even meaning to, she was still young, Val's age if he was correct. "Come now, we shall leave them to care for the sick. I'll make you some tea and honey back in the camp, how does that sound and you can relax." He meant it, if any of his number were in distress he always advised them to take some time off to clear their head and relax. There was no point in having an overworked cat trying to do a job when their mind was elsewhere.

“No. I must to talk to Percy.” Val said pulling away from Youko. She set her face in that determined way that most of the Anbu must have gotten used to by that point. “I have to do something… this is my other family, I can’t just let them fall apart.” She was trembling slightly, and her head was light, but she would make it, her determination always overrode anything in her way.
Aidan made it down the stairs and quietly watched Hikari and Ishtar; he knew she would be one that could handle the child. He was snuggled up on her lap almost as though nothing had happened. He raised his eyebrow at the mention of a diety, what the hell was that? But Hikari seemed to understand and that was all that mattered, so he decided he would ask later. Looking around he found he needed to clean, desperately… this place had not been touched in so very long that it was now covered in a thin layer of dust and now thicker stuff as well.

Youko nodded, "Then I shall accompany you. For safety measures..." he said sternly. It was not that he id not trust her, it was just a better idea that he kept his eye on her. Val was one who you almost never knew what she was going to do next. And besides, it wasn't like he had much else to day that night. For now Ishtar would be fine with Aidan and Hikari and it was likely that he would want to stay close to his father for the time being.
Hikari smiled back at Aidan. "Let's get you to bed so you can relax and get some sleep." she said helping him up. "I can get you something to drink as well if you like." she added, supporting the main of Ishtar's weight. The poor boy, calling on the goddess to assist in a healing could really drain one, she knew the feeling, but only to some extent, she had never tried to do anything that could take a lot of energy out of her. With a would like Kieran had, it was amazing that Ishtar was even slightly conscious already.

Ishtar snuggled into her and allowed her to carry him. Aidan stood and accompanied the Manx upstairs having an arm behind her just in case. “I do hope your accompanying me to this rest.”
Valiant stared at Youko with blank eyes, never betraying the nervousness she felt behind them. She nodded and laced her arm into his, not merely for looks either, she felt like her head was going to explode. Her legs were just a bit shaky; nothing she couldn’t say was just from lack of food on something. The night air greeted her with a coolness that calmed some of her nerves but not all. She rested her head on his shoulder and walked forward concentrating on just that.

Hikari lifted up Ishtar into her arms, she was surprised with herself that she could support his full weight. With Aidan behind her she gave a small laugh. "Of course love." she said making her slow ascent up the stars as not to lose her balance with the boy in her arms. They really didn't need another accident tonight, that was for sure. "After all of this I think some rest could really be the best this for us." she said. Mentally she was fatigued and worn, and physically she was starting to wear as well. Curling up with Aidan was the perfect cure to long night of stress.
Youko supported Val, his mind wandered from this and that, questioning missions, possible assassination review that needed to be looked over, as well as the schedule of scouts to be stationed around the territories boundaries and Ikebokuro itself. "No, no....Rikimaru cannot take post on that night, he has a to take care of that trouble out at Hananeko...and Karin is busy staking out the Tanabachi house..." he muttered to himself going down the list of the Anbu..."Guess, I'll have to do it myself then.." he finally concluded with a nod.

Val heard his ramblings vaguely, and felt she had to stop. Something had been bugging her, and though Youko may not be the best person to tell gossip to, especially some as good as this, she debated whether or not to. "Youko, im scared." She mumbled quietly trying to take in deep even breaths. This would work out ok she kept telling herself, but somehow found that she didn’t quite believe it. All the signs…. And worst of all she was missing something she never thought she would miss before. A heat creeped up her face as she looked down at her boots; in avoidance of looking anywhere, but especially at the male before her. “So-something is wrong with me.”
Aidan smiled to himself and once they were up the stairs he took the sleeping boy from Hikari, in order to give the poor girls arms a break. He hummed softly to Ishtar as he headed into another bedroom and laid the boy down, for now all was at peace, but eventually he knew Kieran would have to wake up.

Youko looked down at Val, pulling himself away from his thoughts of the Anbu. "There's no reason to worry, the boy should be fine, both of them." he said. His golden eyes looked over Val's body language. "There is nothing wrong with you, only you believe that there is something wrong, you are merely confused about something you do not understand." he said. For once he wasn't the lecherous, pervert that he normally played out, he was a knowledgeable, deep individual. This was Youko's true nature, but he preferred to hide behind the mask that he was a happy-go-lucky man with almost no self-respect.
Hikari sighed as she watched Aidan take Ishtar into the other room. She stretched and yawned. She was tired, but something told her Aidan had questions. Before he could not have asked anything, but now that is was almost completely for sure that Kieran would live he could relax a little and ask what was on his mind. But she could have been wrong, it was not uncommon to be incorrect at guessing hat was on a persons mind.

Aidan Set the boy down upon an old couch and curled up on a cushion far enough away to talk without disturbing the poor boy. When he looked back at Hikari he found he was bubbling with questions, as he knew she must be. “I’ll let you start.” He mumbled and watched her warily.
Valiant was still looking down when he got all serious again, for some reason that scared the hell out of the Manx. “It’s… not them, though it should be. I mean I have seen horrible wounds. But when the smell of the blood hit me I passed out, and then later when I woke up… well you were there.” She secretly felt as though she were rambling but said nothing else, the blush had turned a bright pink and she tried to keep herself from hitting the sidewalk face first. “But it’s not just that….”She felt her face grow hotter… and she let her hair fall in front of her face, concealing her just as she did whenever she was embarrassed. “Forget I said anything… it’s just a silly girl rambling.”

Hikari sat down next to Aidan and shook her head. "I do, but they aren't all that important for the time being. You go ahead." she said snuggling up against him. He was so warm and comfortable. Just a few weeks ago she never would have thought she'd be here like this with him. She though he liked Marshall and found her annoying. Apparently she had been wrong.
Youko looked down at her. "You are not just rambling, it is understandable. You were closed with those boys and have a bond with them that can never truly be broken. It is one thing to see a stranger hurt, but when it is a loved one we react in much different ways." he said with a shrug. It was the truth, he was more than well aware of it. "Now continue on with what you were going to say, you have my word that I will not speak of it to another soul." he said staring straight ahead in an almost bored manner.

“Well what was it he meant by ‘Deity?’ that’s all I’m really curious about.” He played with her hair braiding some small sections of it and massaging her scalp, it was something Kieran used to do for Aidan when he was stressed out or over worked… it was obvious as to why Aidan had been afraid of losing Kieran, he was all the other had.
“God Youko, are you tormenting me or are you just oblivious?” She asked exasperated, she looked up now, searching his face with pain contorting her own features. “It’s not the boys at all, yes I’m pissed at the situation, yes I will more than likely kill her for doing this to Kieran and hurting Aidan in such a way… but Youko it’s so much more important than that.” She took a deep breath and looked down, finding herself dizzy once more. “I’m late.” She whispered, and it felt as though her heart broke with the words.
