Truth or not, Auster was offended. "I live in the same world as you, do I not?" he said, rather snappily. "I personally doubt I myself would have much of a chance at escaping a kalona unscathed, and pardon me for saying so, but I'm far larger and probably more powerful than you, miss." His voice was cold, as were his eyes as he glared at her.

" The same world! Well, yes, and no," she didn't seem to be phased by his sour attitude. "The same earth and sky surely. The same experiences?" she shook her head. "I don't go looking for trouble but it sure sounds as if I've fought more kalona then you have, uhhh... Sir? Sorry, I don't believe we've exchanged names. I'm Mahdi. Pleasure to meet you."

The stallion didn't quite look like he knew what to say. He just stared at her for a long moment before looking away and snorting.
"My name is Auster," he said after a long while.

"Auster? I have to say, it suits you nicely," she caught a glimpse of something ahead of them. From where she was though it was hard to tell if it was a pool or a deep patch of grass. She took a few quick steps before glancing back at Auster, "Common!"

He just grunted in reply, keeping his own pace. She'd been the one who'd wanted to see the lake after all. He didn't even know why he came along.

By the time she'd reached the shore it was obvious they'd found a lake. Without even looking back for Auster she dove in, grateful for the cool water.

He took his sweet time as he walked to the lake's edge, standing there and watching her swim. The glowing stars in her mane and tail reflected in the calm water, reminding him of the night sky. She was truly a beautiful creature, and the only Angeni he could remember meeting. He should be more polite to her...
Unfortunately, Auster didn't know much about polite. He stood at the lake shore, just watching her as she swam, mouth set.

Once she'd had herself a good romp in the water she paddled back to the shore. There she stood, sopping wet and grinning like a fool. She looked up at Auster, her mane nearly flat against her body, "Not much of a swimmer are you?"
She didn't mean it in any sort of negative sense. If he didn't like swimming then that's really all there was to it. He didn't like swimming.

He blinked a bit, trying to decide what to say. "No... I do swim. I just don't particularly wish to right now, I suppose..." He wasn't going to tell her that he'd been distracted watching her swim, oh no. Instead he shifted his weight a bit, looking into the cool water. It did look like it was particularly nice right now.
Snorting a little bit in a sort of dismissive fashion, he took careful steps into the lake, relishing a bit as the water rushed up to meet him. It was nice. Pleased, though he tried hard not to show it, he swam around for a bit, a trail of long dark hair following him around.

She watched him for a few moments admiring the way his pale hair flowed through the water. Sure he was pretty, but before that moment it hadn't really crossed her mind. Even then he gave off the air of a silly, unexperienced foal.
She laughed softly then stepped back into the water, following the other Angeni out into the lake.
