Kae worked his way through the buoyant crowd. Music and light all around him. As he went he spotted huge speakers blasting the music. Smiling broadly an idea cracked in his brain. Quickly he pushed his way through meandering couples and small children. The crowd became more dense as he got closer to the speaker. Kae had to work his way off to the side where there were few people. Making his way behind the stage he turned out and looked over the festival. It was so beautiful, everyone together. Kae couldn't manage a smile he just stared out at these people, this one living thing that all the people made, like a massive organism. His plan only seemed more perfect now. Stepping up behind the speakers he studied them and found what he wanted.

"Visit?" His voice was quiet but it was clear that Shin was deep in thought. "Most likely - no, even more probably so should Konoha officially become an ally of Iwa in time. Kirigakure no Sato is a famous ally of their village after all, well - perhaps second to Suna. And well..." Almost bitterly, his voice trailed off. "What means most to me in that village is already gone. I would try and avoid it, yes - Hyouton Creation could come quite in handy incapacitating later but not killing...but no, I won't regret it."

Shadow grinned at her comment about it being crowded. He looked over all the faces of the villagers that he knew he would never get a chance to know. He wondered briefly about why he felt a connection to each of them, it wasn't as if he had relations with any of them, however after being kept in complete isolation for a few years, he realized that these people were one of the most important things there was in life. He opened his mouth to reply to Sakeme but then found himself listening to Marcus giving the 'ok' to cut loose and party. He grinned as he watched the Tsuchikage himself step off the podium into the crowd, he had actually never gotten a chance to talk to him outside of the Chuunins, and found himself wondering about his eccentric nature. However none of that mattered right now, he turned back to Sakeme and smiled, a little embarrassed that he got distracted. He kept up his usual grin.

Well come on then! Just because they're crowded only means that you have to use a bit more force to get into them! He grabbed her hand to pull her over to the nearby war trophies game. They're really great! Like this one, you try and win stuff and you can give the prizes to people! Now i think i'm in the mood for some candies... So you should try to win some for me! He smiled cheerfully trying to convince her to play the game, wondering if she actually would try and partake in the festivities.

"You said a while back that your village was taken over by this ancient old hag right?" Shizuka crossed her arms as she thought this through, it would take a lot of training but it'll have to be worth it. "And every Shinobi needs a goal in life or else they would be nothing but a killing machine...For being my first friend and to repay you, I'm gonna train hard enough so I could defeat that tyrant in Kirigakure...By doing so would mean that Kirigakure will have to go back to their Mizukage leadership." It made sense to her at least...it was the best thing she could give Shinratsu to be the first to befriend her.

But something was wrong. Shin fell quiet - too quiet even for him. He turned, and took a single step, so that the other could not see his expression. At length, he murmured: "Thank you." But his tone held no feelings...and true enough, away from her view, Shinratsu's pretty, doll-like features were so cold in that frozen expression that it was near terrifying... Shizuka knew not what he truly wanted...they just barely touched the surface with all this war talk. No, what he wanted was something much more different... His hand unconsciously reached to where his locket should have been, but he was not wearing it today - he had lent it to the Senju Lord.

Burn.

Let Kirigakure no Sato burn...

Elruda wandered through the festival - but her mind clearly elsewhere. It was the first day after that and well...she was rather disturbed since Zephyr-jiji was nowhere to be found since last night. Only a note was left to those present here; 'not to worry'. But how could they not, when there had been no explanation given? But strangely, he left this silver locket with the note, asking her mother to keep it safe for the moment...that it belongs to and meant a lot to 'someone she knows well here'. Something else about it cannot be returned for the moment, just in case 'time and place interferes'. She herself didn't understand but judging by the understanding that flickered across her mother's features...she assumed her mother knew and that in the end is all that mattered.

But since besides her only Sakeme-nee and Shin-kun were in this...and judging by Zephyr's strange conversation with the older boy, she assumed that the locket might possibly be Shin's - gulping slightly then, Elruda hoped her mother won't be too angered to discover that she had accidentally taken and wore the locket instead of her own heirloom necklace this morning...! Well, she'll just have to keep it safe then... It was a very pretty thing though - too refulgent too be silver, which would gather dark spots if not polished...but it couldn't be steel either...hand-crafted, it seemed, judging by the carefully gilded wing-shaped hinges and the beautiful phoenix engraved on the locket... There was some sort of flower the bird was hovering over too...a water lily...?

No, a lotus...

Growing curious, she tried to pry it open - but it would not... Finally, realizing that she might damage the locket in her curiosity then the girl finally surrender and kept the locket safe in the folds of her clothing, the silvery chain glittering around her neck.

Henka Shizuka

"No problem! That's what friends are for right? At least from what I've learned from." But that thank you did sound a bit odd...All though it was Shinratsu who is a boy of mystery to shizuka. "I...I Hope I didn't hurt your feelings by mentioning your home village...I shouldn't have even brought this up in the first place." He was already traumatized about what happen and with her bringing up this conversation, it didn't help at all...not one bit.
PostPosted: Mon Jul 06, 2009 3:45 pm

When he turned, he gave her a smile but as natural as it looked...it seemed a bit...practiced? "But of course. Why don't we go see some of the games...?" As they walked, he too asked her: "You always did tell us a lot about your mother..." His voice trailed off, and he seemed a bit thoughtful. "Is she better? Perhaps Yokou-dono and Zephyr-dono could take a look...Yokou-dono did run the hospital in Konoha after all...and Zephyr-dono - as strange as he is - his family are famous in the medical field." A thoughtful pause. "I doubt they'll mind." After all, Shinratsu had willingly lent his heirloom locket to the Senju king. But then...it was odd. Shizuka always spoke of her ailing mother...but what about her father...?

"I'm not very well-versed with the Henka tragedy." He began, slowly. "...was your father...well...?" Uncomfortable finishing the question, he gestured slightly in the 'well, you know' manner to the air.

Sakeme couldn't help but smile. He was so wierd... but friendly too, it was very hard to say 'no'... or it would have been hard if it hadn't been erased from her vocabulary for that moment. "Alright, alright... I'll try it out... " Laughing lightly she stoof in front of the booth and picked up the three blades she needed to cut the bags from their strings. Oddly enough, her hands shook. She'd never really played anything liek this before. The closest she'd gotten to something like that was target practice out by herself. Now, however, with someone watching... and expecting her to win something.... well, that made her nervous. To make it worse, she missed every single time. Well, this is embarassing... She reached up to scratch behind her head and she took a couple of slow steps backwards. Luckily, to try to distract from how poorly she'd done, she spotted the kid not too far off. "Hey, Elruda! Over here!" She raised her hand to wave at the girl. That should be a good enough distraction.

Shadow looked almost teary eyed as none of the shuriken hit the candy bag. He wasn't sure why he had such a sweet tooth, but he knew it was there. And considering he didn't want to hunt down his little brother Rush and put the beat down on him till he started bleeding caramel, he was set on this game. He didn't even notice Sakeme waving towards her friend, he slapped the table sending the three little carnival safe shuriken into the air. His happy grin turned into a determined smirk, his eyes changed from slightly teary to a solid determination. He quickly snatched one out of the air and hurled it through towards the first bag. Before contact was even made he had already snatched the second, in less then a blink it was flying towards another bag. The third followed suit, and soon all of the contents fell out. Shadow quickly grabbed the candy bar before it even hit the ground. The senbon and pills fell however making a little clanky sound but Shadow didn't care as much. He picked up the senbon deciding he would give them to Rush, and then decided that he would hold onto the pills. He turned towards Sakeme, his series face completely wiped out of existence. He grabbed her hand and slipped the bar into her hand, still smiling.

Here, maybe we can share it? He kept his eyes squinted and his smile big. Really he just wanted to give her a gift of some sorts, however the choices were pills or chocolate, somehow chocolate just seemed less creepy. He looked over towards the girl she was yelling towards. It was a Hyuuga girl which upon looking up and down he noticed a pretty silver chain around her neck. Sadly it was an old habit from the days he was a thief, noticing the most pricey thing on ones body. But those days were over, he simply smiled and asked. Hey, who are you?

But after walking a bit, she began playing with the locket again. She couldn't help it - Elruda knew she shouldn't but the intricate pattern of the phoenix (instead of spring of roses, with lotus flowers) embellishing the locket's surface was just so pretty... Gently, she traced the fine lines of the plumage. Thus, Elruda nearly flew into a panic-attack and spun around when she was called from pretending that she wasn't examining the chain (except in white gold) around her neck...

"Um...oh! Sa-chan!"

Shadow had run into her mother during the concert but near immediately it would be obvious the similarities between the two. It was easy to see that in a few years she would be just as beautiful or perhaps even more than her mother, with the legendary beauty of the Hyuuga clan. But despite porcelain skin that blushed a bit rogue at her cheeks and pale, dragon-pearl eyes Elruda had her hair cut short - shoulder-length and slightly cropped so that it wouldn't be too boyish but all the same surprising to see one of her family with short hair.

She wore a simple white yukata with a red overrobe; no traditional skirts for a child that bustled with energy but white yukata pants. She wore no standard shuriken holster but a black sash for a belt, set high enough to allow the red yukata robe to wrap loosely around her slim frame, forming a short skirt of sorts above the white linen of the pants, held her shuriken pouch in place.

Elruda had definitely not missed the calculating gleam in Shadow's eye when he saw her fingering Shinratsu's locket. Eyes narrowing and with a frown, she took back a step, her eyes never leaving the older shinobi. This person...how rude. It was common courtesy to introduce oneself before asking for another's name. Despite Elruda breaking near every rule in the etiquette book - that one at the least she had kept. She quickly considered her list of choices...and... "Sa-chan!" Gathering a tearful look, she rushed to the older kunoichi's arms. With a sniff, she continued. "It was so scary being alone...especially with them around..."

By 'them' the child was referring to the High Council.

But in the embrace, her expression grew serious and dropping her voice lowly, she whispered. "Shin-kun kept his part...Zephyr-jiji has already left. Marcus-jiji...I'm not sure, but scouting earlier...I saw at least three ANBUs definitely not his in the area... Yep, those bastards are watching."

She only said 'at least' because she was not as proficient with the Byakugan...and definitely must've missed some, while discounting the ones that she had seen priorly with or around Marcus.

[[Haha while typing his clothing i decided i'm ready for a new costume soon <.< ]]

Shadow kept a cheery smile even after the girl seemed to avoid him completely. Though as his lip twitched a little a fox like growl could be heard if one was sharp of ear. Shadow brushed his spikey black hair, suddenly showing interest in what the girl was saying. His eyes opened to reveal the icey blue color that they actually were. He hung one of his thumbs into the pocket of his black and light blue jacket, while his other hand brushed over the kunai in his half full belt. She knew Zephyr, which interested Shadow greatly. However Shadow was blunt, and wasn't able to put together the fact that she was related the the woman he had met earlier. As she finished he smiled again making it so his eyes were hidden. He noted how this girl seemed to pull away at his staring, and how she seemed to complain about the Kage's of the two village. He wasn't sure what prompted him to be so forward, maybe it was the fact she was avoiding him, but he smiled and squinted his eyes saying

You sure like to complain, huh? Shadow kept a smile up, he wasn't really socially smart, he just said what was on his mind, and plus he was a little ticked at her not answering his question. In the back of his head he heard a deep sigh as a voice chimed in. You really do have a death wish of some sort don't you? Maybe you should stop talking out of your a** and actually try that thing called 'being smart' for a change! Even as the fox continued to insult him Shadow didn't break his grin, in conversation the only thing he knew how to do was be forward, no one had ever really taught him otherwise.

What was more infuriating - that she didn't even look in Shadow's general direction while saying all of this or the condescending tone of her voice. "Oh and Sa-chan, is this hobo bothering you?" It turned a bit scoffing. "He looks like he can't even afford the cheap masks I saw on the way..." Cheap masks? Ouch - poor, unknowing Shinratsu...he may be up for an early heartbreak. "And he looks like the last meal was ages ago, robbed from some unsuspecting kid..." Looks like Shadow was not the only one to speak his mind.

Shadow almost fell on his face at all the shots towards his lively hood. It was true that his funds had been running a little tight ever since... Around that time Kurai adopted him. Blast! In the back of his head he could here the snickering of the fox. Shadow almost yelled out loud but managed to keep it with the telekenetik bond he shared with the fox. Shuttup! You're supposed to be on my side! Shadow was less calm and stoic as his training made him be, and was now resorting to his more child at heart nature. As he stuck out his tongue he wondered for a moment just how many children was he going to end up fighting with today. But that thought was only for a moment.

Its not my fault that carnival trinkets are overpriced! And what do you mean hobo!? I'm an honored ninja of the lead! He reached into his pocket to flash his protector. And i'll have you know that kid started it! Shadow said once again back to his cheerful grin. However at that moment a few kids from the archery range shot him a dirty look. At least try to defend your pride! You know you don't steal anymore! Shadow ignored the creatures statement and continued smiling. Besides, we can't all go around parading our fancy jewelry around just because we were born into a good clan. He was of course referring to the necklace. He found it funny that his run ins with Hyuga's always seemed to end up bad. However it was just the way of things, his clan blood was lowly and somewhat barbaric, while Hyuga's were aristocratic. It made him hate them at first, however he had grown to accept it and now just had fun playing the part.

Shinratsu had a point, why stand in place talk when they could be having the time of their life before having to do another mission? Shizuka would stretch her arms forward and yawned as she began walking with Shinratsu. "She isn't a hundred percent healthy, but she's a lot better than before due to the medication my sister gave her." Zephyr and Yokou hm? She didn't quite trust those Konohagakure shinobi at all...mainly Zephyr, after what he heard from him the last time, misheard or not she didn't trust him at all. "Zephyr...I honestly Don't want him by my mother...All though Yokou could see her, knowing my mom, she'll probably reject the offer of being checked up by them. Shizuka's eyes would show an emotion of saddness and would lower just by the thought of her father. "Honestly...I couldn't really give a s**t about him, honestly. Around the time my mother was sick, which was before the attack on the clan. He left in disgust of what she and the clan was...It's not like we have a real animal as a parent! It's a just a sealing jutsu that fuses the genes of the animals into us!" She calmed down a bit as she noticed she began to get a bit loud. "...All though it's weird...Henka Arufa, the creator of the Henka clans wife left him in disgust of what their daughter became...It's like the whole thing happened all over again..." Back onto the subject on her father, she would sigh at the thought of him maybe killing off her real family she ever could of had. ""I don't remember much from the attack due to being young, but I believe he may have been the one to send the attack on my clan..."
