Wow. Our Band Camp days are much longer than some of your peoples.
Ours is free through the school. We have our own practice field behind the band hall so we have it there. There's no shade though so....103 degree Texas weather takes it toll. : D It's funny to see all the freshman show up in pants the first day. My freshman year some kid drank a huge glass of milk and ate a hot pocket before he came and threw up about 30 minutes into the conditioning part since we ran laps and did a bunch of muscle strengthing exercises.
Good times.....

We go for about 3 weeks starting August 3rd. 8am-8pm.
(: It's so fun. We get lunch and dinner breaks. Sometimes the Band Booster provide a meal for us but otherwise we have to bring our own food.

Our band camp is at our school. Thank goodness we have our own practice field: the track, football, tennis, and who-knows-how-many-others attempt to take it over anyway. Band camp starts teh first week of August, 8-6. The 2nd week is in the morning only, the third week is in the evening only. I don't know why you guys have to pay for band camp - ours is free (unless you buy stuff from the band parents), not including food.

I can't wait! The scary part is I'm a senior now and most of my friends have graduated, so band camp will be very interesting this year.
