Why did he want to get her pregnant, though? She failed to see why that would even strike him for a moment as a good idea. Esmée quirked a brow at him, quite clearly baffled by his statements. "WHY?! Haven't I said a million times that I don't want kids?! I don't like kids, and I'm going to make a guardians-awful mother." She was aware of the fact that she was already more willing to make experiments on the kids growing in her belly than shower them with love and affection, which she knew would be a bad sign of her behavior to come.

...Still, she was actually rather unwilling to change her behaviors, but at least she was honest about it. Esmée crossed her arms over her enlarged belly again, no longer eating quite as much. "I mean, come on. You know me, Bneut. I'm the farthest thing from the doting, loving mother since," she scrunched her nose, trying to think of a good analogy. Nothing came. "Well... since anything!"

He let her vent, watching every word that came out of her mouth. "I thought some part of you would enjoy the new experience, or at least the chance for more information and experiments.." Not that he was particularly fond of the idea of experiments on their children. But if it made Esmee happy that was all that mattered.

He wasn't planning on asking her to be a doting, loving mother. That had never been the plan, she wasn't the type. "I didn't ask you to be a loving mother. Just a mother.. And I didn't even ask.. I'm sorry."

"Not particularly, no," Esmée groaned. "On both accounts. But ignoring the first account... why would you do something like that to me without even asking if I had changed my mind or something? Now I have to be a mother to these... things I don't even want." Harsh. Esmée was certainly a bit callous, but to some extent, she always had been. Bneut was one of the few people who could get a softer side out of her, and he was one of the reasons why she didn't act outright snooty towards everyone else.

The angelic heavily sighed, before picking up the fish again and resuming her eating of it. "But it's too late now," mused Esmée, quietly. Whether she liked it or not, there were multiple little things--that would forever be Bneut's fault--growing in her belly and making her all too weak and starved.

He looked almost hopeful at her words. It sounded like she wasn't going to leave him after all. Though he wouldn't say his hope aloud right now, fearing she would leave him just because of that hope. "I should have asked first. I really should have." Bneut shook his head, "I'm sorry." Every few sentences sounded good for an apology. Even more if he could squeeze them into the right spots.

"You don't have to raise them if you really don't want to.." The demonic wanted to make sure that she knew she had the option, as much as it would kill him to let her leave.

Esmée looked over at him. She couldn't stay mad forever. ...Okay, well, she could, but that would hurt her too much. She did still love Bneut somewhere deep down, even if he had made her drink preggo juice. She wasn't certain how she was going to deal with this, though. With a large sigh, she glanced down and placed a hand on her stomach, feeling one of them kick again.

That was annoying as all hell, but maybe she should find some way to give Bneut hope that she wouldn't abandon the children. Attempting to be excited for their movements, she glanced over and said, "Hey, Bneut, put your hands on my stomach." It didn't come out excited, but she certainly at least sounded curious about what was happening inside her. It was a bit of a facade, but it was an attempt at making Bneut feel better. Even if she was angry with him, he seemed pathetic and hopeless.

He had kept his eyes on her face, not sure how to judge her reactions at the moment. He had never made her this mad before. He figured being overly cautious couldn't be a bad thing. Bneut didn't want to make her any angrier than she already was. He knew full well she could be angry for a long time if given the proper fuel.

It was almost a shock when she asked him to put his hands on her stomach, though he wasn't going to complain in the least. Gently he rubbed his love's swollen stomach, unable to stop the smile on his face as the children inside kicked his hand. "Amazing." He murmured, looking up at her. "Almost as amazing as you are."

Well, at least someone enjoyed the feeling, because she certainly wasn't liking it. Nevertheless, he looked so happy... It had been a while since either of them had really smiled. He'd make a good father. Much better than she'd make a mother. Still, he didn't deserve to be left. She would be mad at him for a long time, but leaving him seemed a little too strong of an action.

At least for now. Hopefully, Bneut wouldn't do anything to make her angrier. "Thought you'd like that." She patted the demonic on the head, a little like how one would pat a good dog. While it wasn't all that affectionate nor was it really all that loving, the vague smile she gave him was at least a good sign that she wasn't going to leave him in the dust.

"I'm sorry, that must hurt." He looked up at her, entirely concerned. He didn't want her in pain, that was the last thing he wanted of her. Of course at this point he wouldn't even ask her to visit their children if she left him.

"Thank you for letting me feel them Esmee." He gave her a soft smile, containing himself at hers. The sheer amount of hope he had for their relationship was enough to overwhelm any pae, yet somehow he managed to keep a straight face. He was still hoping that Esmee would call herself his fiancee still, but there was no guarantee that she would say it once more. He wasn't about to push for that either.

Esmée couldn't help chuckling. If she could call him anything at the moment, it was a little cute. Still pathetic, but cute. Like a dog. Esmée rubbed his back lightly. "I'm fine." That was a lie, but the way he was acting was amusing her immensely, so she would say that for now so he could keep up the amusing puppy-like behavior. Bneut looked like he was about to burst and hope would fly all over the place.

"You'll make a good father." She stated, though she said nothing about how horrible of a mother she would probably end up making. Then, she leaned back, and decided she was done with affection for now. ...Now she was hungry again. Esmée swiped another fish off the cleaned leaf and began to eat it, seeming at least somewhat happy for the first time that Bneut would have seen in a while.

He kept his hand on her stomach, amazed at the kicking from the unborn children still. He knew her statement was a lie, he could tell only because the kicks under his hands were strong. She really must have been in pain when they kicked her.

"You'll make a g-" He stopped himself. Bneut knew better, Esmee wouldn't make a good mother, but she would be MILF. "You'll be the hottest MILF out there." He smiled, laughing just a little over it.

Bneut smiled at her, "I can prepare a better meal for you inside. Fish has got to be getting tiring by now." He would be more concerned about her health than anything. So long as she was happy and healthy that was all that mattered right now.

She watched the puppy dog suddenly stop himself mid-sentence, snickering only because she had an idea of what he might have been trying to say. There was no use attempting to encourage her when she was already deadset in the truth. Still, the next comment he came out with was completely unexpected, and Esmée broke into a snickerfit. A MILF? Was that what he was calling her now?!

Esmée didn't respond very quickly only because she was too busy snickering immensely at the title he had dubbed her with. It sounded like she belonged in a terrible Harlequin novel with a remark like that... Only after she had managed to calm herself slightly did Esmée say, "Okay." Sure, she liked doing everything herself, but the angel had always been not too good with cooking and she was in pain anyway. Might-as-well use the puppy dog.

Since Esmée was going to be eating other things now, Fernand eagerly waddled over to the pregnant angel and her puppy dog of a fiancee, snatching another one of the fish that Bneut had speared earlier for his own appetite. The familiar would no doubt be stuffed later, but for now, he wanted to eat more fish.

He had only meant it in the best manner possible. Bneut didn't mean to call her a MILF as an insult. But really, what mother wouldn't want to be MILF? If he was a female with children he'd want to be MILF. But that was just him apparently.

He waited for her response before moving. Sitting still as a statue didn't seem to bother him right now. He smiled widely as Esmee accepted this offer, though he knew she preferred to let him cook.

The demonic helped Esmee up as much as she let him, holding the door open for both her and her familiar. Bneut followed them to the kitchen, pulling out a chair for Esmee to sit in. Assuring that she was comfortable and wanted nor needed anything, he then proceeded to cook her one of her favorite meals as of late. By as of late he meant since her large appetite increase. t even accounted for how much she was eating at the moment.

Once it was finished he set it in front of Esmee with a fork and knife, and bent over to pet Fernand. His work was done for the day, the sun was even setting. He would escort the female into her bed, and promptly flop on the couch. Bneut knew he wasn't off the bad list yet, and that meant the most obvious of sleeping arrangements. She would always get the bed, and he would take the couch. Not that he'd complain about it.

Well, she had never said she did find it insulting, but she had definitely found it to be some amusing words out of the mouth of her amusing puppy dog. And since the amusing puppy dog insisted on doing things for her, she would let him do as he pleased--mostly so she didn't have to do any cooking, admittedly. She quite eagerly ate the entire meal that Bneut had placed in front of her, stuffing her face until she truly felt full.

Fernand waddled back to her charge's room a long time ago, but Esmée waited a while, reading a little bit before her whole body began to fatigue. It was then she decided to go to bed, snuggling up under the covers and resting with a grin on her face. She didn't bother inviting Bneut to join her as she slept peacefully in what used to be their combined bed, because in truth, he would be in the puppy dog house for at least a little while yet..

But at least there were signs it wouldn't last forever.
