Ellandra sighed a little. "One thing that concerns me a bit is, well, Lee and Lauss are both used to a lot more space with very few people. . . I'm wondering how well they'll adjust to the vardo."

"I guess we'll just have to help them adjust as much as we can," Fao sighed. "Lauss might be able to be distracted by Rhian and I suppose I can find something to keep Lee busy with as well. Keagan could use another bookkeeper. I wonder if she's handy with numbers."

"I don't know. . . . I suppose that could work, she needs to get to know Keagan anyway," Ellandra said softly. "She also mentioned facepainting when she visited me last. . . that seemed to catch her interest a bit; I know she lkes painting," she paused, then continued, "Come to think of it, that would get her to be around children a bit, as well. . ." Either one of those jobs would be good for Lee, in their own ways. And, well, Lauss probably would be effectively distracted by Rhian - the flutterby was good at that sort of thing.

"Could do both, maybe? Keagan donnae always need the books worked on. It's more a once a week thing, really. She might be able to even sell some actual paintin's," Fao said, rubbing his chin in thought. He looked out at the carnival--dark now after everything was closed, a few performers and vendors straggling home--and rested a hand on Elle's belly, idly stroking it with his fingers. "I think we'll be okay, love. Whate'er happens, we'll be okay."

Ellandra wrinkled her nose. "Once a week? And yet I was there for houurs every day when I first came?" What in the world - oh, well, it had kept her busy, hadn't it? She sighed softly, placing a hand on top of Faolan's and leaning against him. "I hope so, Faolan. . . . I really, truly hope so."
