A room with Electrikes strapped to machines, which are taking all of their electricity to feed the whole Rocket Base's energy supply! The poor things!

Much like the bulbasaurs/Charmanders, you have to answer a prompt to have a chance at them. At the end of the end of the prompt, please add the safari ball.

POKEBALL GO!!

(Please, prompt response shouldn't be a paragraph or a novel, keep it at a manageable length)

Prompt

You have to help them!
The static is so thick in the room, that everyone's fur has puff up![GET A HAIRDRESSER!]
Your pokemon needs to find a way to save the electrikes. But you can't blow up the machines! The electrikes are too close to them and an explotion might do some real damage to them.
The outer metal of the machines doesn't seemed too strong, but you have to be careful of you will get harshly(but accidentally) shock from the Electrikes! They are frustrated, tired and will snap at anyone getting too near them, even if its to help!

Please post your entries here

Merlin peeked into the door that had suddenly openned. He wished very quickly he hadn't. His ghostly hair stood up on end, giving his head the look of an over sized Koosh-ball with two very annoyed looking glowing spots. Great, just great, Merlin thought, now his hair was ruined. He had to shake his head a bit too see through the mass of spectral follicles, and he immediately saw the cause of his bad hair day. "Oh, for the love of the great Giratina, Electrikes?!" The angered Misdreavus absolutely fumed over his stroke of horrid luck. Well, it didn't seem like they were trying to cause him to become the world's largest floating dust bunny, but the transgression was enough to get the ghost into a rage.

Merlin floated to the machines, his hair occasionally sparking from the build up of static. He had heard about how another ghost had successfully deactivated a machine from the inside, but the internal electricity flow was much more immense in these machines. There was also the Electrikes, who seemed to growl at the sight of the ghost. Merlin decided that a different course of action was needed. First was to disable those pesky furry Vande-graph Generators stuck to the machine. Merlin began to chant slowly, swaying side to side. The little electric pups seemed to be fascinated with the swaying and chanting of the ghostly pom-pom, and slowly, the Hypnosis took effect. The machine still was sucking copious amounts of energy. That, Merlin decided, must be stopped.

Silently, the Misdreavus slipped into the machine, getting several nasty shocks. Well, this was brilliant. Now he was in a machine that was giving him periodical lightning baths and he had no clue on how to stop it. Furious, he let his frustration take a hold of his mental capacities and sent his own Thunder Bolt into the machine.

Pop! Poppidy, pop!

Something happened, but what he didn't know. The electricity was still flowing, but the current was halted. Looking around, he found a box with strange glass tubes, many of which were now broken. What Merlin had found was a now blown fuse box, fried by his electric attack. What ever it was, it was attached to an awful lot of wires. Merlin gripped it with his robe tendrils, they were turning out handy on this trip, and pulled hard at the box.

Several snapping wires and one crispy ghost later, the machine ground to a halt. Merlin popped out of the machine and shook off the build up of ash around him before looking at the still sleeping Electrike. Well, all but one was sleeping. The little spark dog was now growling at Merlin. Uh oh, Merlin thought, and did the only thing he could thing of in his brain fried state. He tossed his safari ball at the awakened pup. A flash of red and click later, the Electrike was his prisoner. Merlin sighed as he saw the other ones stirring, then grinned. What better way to cause chaos than to let the exausted and frustrated pokemon loose? He quickly stripped the straps away and floated over to his pokeball, turning invisible to watch the fun ensue....

User ImageSnap. Crackle-
POP! Went the evil cackle of the electricity.
Enide's feathers were practically standing straight on end from all the electricity in the room. The poor puppies. In between the growling there was heart-retching whining droning through, the sound meshed with the static dancing in the air.
Enide attempted to make herself small in the presence of the dog's snapping jaws. She failed, as her feathers refused to cooperate with all the static keeping them up. Back to her attempting to rescue the puppies, she needed a plan. Thunder Wave could paralyze them. Plus, if she could muster up a powerful enough shock, it could possibly short-circuit the machines. Or better yet, a full blown power overload! That would work.
The murkrow began to gather as much energy from the room as she could, which was a lot considering the amount generated by the electrikes and the generators they were hooked up to. Her feathers were fully standing on-end now, the murkrow looked like she struck her talons in an electric socket, which she might as well have done. Once she couldn't gather anymore of the artificial lighting, she released it in one mighty wave.
Enide didn't even have time to notice all the wounds she obtained from being in a room full of biting electrikes, or the amount of feathers they pulled out in the process. But it was all worth it as the Thunder Wave rippled from her body in one mighty circle. It swept across the electrikes, paralyzing them quickly and making short work of the machines at the same time. The room was now pitch black, only the occasional spark of energy illuminated small spots around the room like dieing embers. Her work here was almost done. A safair ball she picked up somewhere in the midst of it all was clutched in her talon. Enide threw it into the darkness where it hit one of the electrikes.
Boy, was she going to be tired later...

User Image Feuille walked into the open doorway, expecting to find some haywire machine. Instead, she was greeted with poofy fur. Luckily, she was mostly leaves, so she didn't look quite as unfortunate as some other pokemon would have. She spent a good few minutes trying to smooth down her fur, but stopped when she spotted four dog-like Pokemon strapped to machines, shooting off electricity into them. Electrikes? Powering the machines? Man, these Rockets will just use anything, won't they... she thought to herself. She looked at their faces - they were grimacing in pain as the electricity was being sapped from their bodies. Man, humans... sometimes they're nice, but other times... She began to think about her early days - born from a breeder's pokemon, only to be sold off for a pretty penny as a luxurious special Leafeon... she commiserated for the poor Electrikes. She had to save them. Surely they would not be all that appreciative of her efforts, though - they looked angry enough to bite through a Golem if interrupted. She needed a different course of action than to go up to them, and figured it would be a much better idea to break the power sources. "I won't let them hurt you anymore!!" she said, as she ran out to tackle the machines...

...which, with a huge jolt of electricity, promptly sent her flying away upon impact, crashing into the wall with a painful whump. "Ughhh... so uhh... I suppose four electrikes... would make a lot of electricity..." she said to herself, sluggishly dragging herself back to her feet. She decided that was a rather stupid move, especially since now she had trouble getting herself up. "Ugghhh... I think they paralyzed me... Wait... That's it!" As she stood rather uncertainly, wobbling on unsteady legs, she had a sudden epiphany. If they can stick her with an annoying status problem, then she can do the same right back at them! "W-Well you little sparky fellows, I may not have quite as vicious an attack, buuut..." Forcing herself to sit down, she painfully turned to her tail. She grabbed it in her mouth and began to hum a sweet lullaby, moving her lips up and down the blade of grass.
The electrikes stopped for a moment, looking up into the air. Where was that beautiful melodic noise coming from? It was soothing... calming... relaxing... Smiling, the electrikes slowly laid their heads down on the ground, followed by their bodies, and closed their eyes to sleep. Not even an electricity-sapping machine could keep them awake after a successful Grasswhistle attack!

Smiling, Feuille released her tail, letting it fall back on the ground. Straining herself, she got back on her feet and ran towards the Electrikes. There was no longer any danger of them ripping her to pieces, so she cut through their straps with her tail, executing a perfect Leaf Blade attack that a contest judge could only dream of seeing. "Y-You're all free now..." she said quietly to the sleeping pokemon. While her attack was successful, the remaining charge in the straps got her good. She was hurt and weary, and didn't feel like sticking around to see if the Electrikes made it out safely. She smiled at her good deed and collapsed to the floor, joining the other sleeping canines in a peaceful slumber.

She didn't seem to notice the safari ball lying on the floor, though, and may have accidentally kicked it towards one of the electric puppies on her way down...

Was there anything these Rocket's wouldn't do? A growl escaped Peanut as she looked at the electrikes. They were her own type and it irritated her no end to see them being used in such a way. It could just as easily be her in their place.

Stepping out of the room to consider the options helped her settle down. They had to disconnect them but they were tired and frustrated and the way they glared at the intruding pokemon did not bode well. Would she be able to get close enough to the machines without getting hurt? A shock wouldn't bother her as much as many of the others but the 'trikes just might resort to physical attacks.

Finally the luxio decided to try reasuring them. She slowly entered purrring loudly hoping it would have a soothing affect. "I'm here to help you. Please let me help you. I'm an electric type too. I just hate seeing you this way. I'm here to help..." she continued to babble as she moved cautiously through the room. There was so much static in the air she felt overcharged, but she continued on, sticking to the perimeter as she made her way to the machines, allowing the most time for her soothing purring and words to get through to the captive pokemon.

When she got close enough to have a clear view of everything, Peanut paused to look at the connections and the machines. The electrikes continued to glare but they made no move to attack the luxio. Peanut took that as a good sign. Though there were straps around the electrikes the connection to the machine was through a single wire for each pokemon.
"Ok the front of these don't look all that strong, if I can break through the part where they connect to the machine..." She came up to the first machine and sat back and reached up to scratch at the weak machinery. Shocks rolled through her but before long the first wire popped out. She peeked behind her; the freed pokemon did not seem to notice what had occurred and all four looked increasingly frustrated now that she was taking action so close to them.
She was faster with the second wire deciding to just take the shock of slashing through it. Peanut heard movement behind her accompanied by growls. "Not a good sign..." she muttered and decided to go all out. "I will get you all free of this..." she growled and leapted forward biting through the remaining two connections and racing out of the room to what she hoped was safety with the other pokemon.
When she turned it was to face four very irritated and confused electrikes. She joined several of the others in claiming one of the handy safari balls and giving it a toss, better caught than attacking their rescuers....

Daybreak felt her hair fluff up when she entered the room. And no wonder. Those Electrikes attached to the machines were churning out a lot of electricity, at the cost of their tempers and sanity. She could see even from a distance that they've been powering the base several days straight and they wouldn't welcome a strange Espeon interrupting their efforts.

Blowing up the machine like last time was out of the question. Not while they were still connected. Cautiously, she approached them and tried to figure out how to disable it without brute force.

"HEY! What are you doing? You aren't allowed here! Get out before you mess everything up!" One Electrike snarled and lashed out at her with a bolt of lightning. She barely managed to dodge it and some electricity burning the pads of her feet.

Daybreak hissed and continued moving forward, being careful not to hurt her paws anymore. "What, you actually care about what you do for those Rockets?"

If they did, she wouldn't mind getting this over with and using a Psychic to destroy the machine on the spot. But the four Electrikes shook their head and the one that shot her with lightning spoke up.

"No, but if they found out that we let you in and screw stuff up, they'll hurt us!" He replied with a hint of whimpering in his voice. He hurled another electric attack at her, which she blocked with a quickly made Light Screen.

Daybreak's patience was wearing thin. More thundershocks bounced off her shield as she got closer to the machine. "I'm not going to let those Rockets hurt you. Not now, not forever. What kind of police Pokemon would I be if I didn't protect the innocent like you?"

The word 'police' seemed to snap them out of their funk. At least for a little bit. The short lightning-free period of time enabled her to dash in and rip the cords that were strapped to the Electrikes. She tried to block the electricity from the cords with the Light Screen but she still got a nasty shock while her teeth were clenched around them.

She was really starting to hate anything electrical. And Rockets. The ends of her fur were charred from all the current but she was done. At least, almost done.

The Electrikes stood there in disbelief. Deciding whether to be grateful or to attack the Espeon anyway since they were really going to get punished now.

"Are you all idiots?" Daybreak whirled around and snapped at them. "If you want freedom, run! There's more friendly Pokemon in the hallway!"

They didn't need to be told twice. When the electric Pokemon were out of the way, she concentrated her psychic power inside the machine, like what she did last time. She didn't put as much energy into it however, so it only shorted it out and left smoking and useless.

That'll stop the Rockets from abusing any Pokemon again. Though what was she going to do with those Electrikes? Maybe one of them wouldn't mind resting in a Pokeball...

Liz shook her head, dazed from her quick attack.
Now she was curious, and she peeked inside, feeling the sudden static charge tickle her face.

Oh dear Arceus.

She had seen machines like this before, when she had been rented by a rocket, and she hated them.
She felt that odd, motherly affection towards these poor, tired electric pokemon as she did towards Penners. And this time, she had a chance to help them. And she COULD help them, unlike that time when she had been a mere rental of the rockets.

She inspected the machines, feeling the electric shocks on her nose, which was only only a centimeter away from the metal. The metal itself was not too stiff or hard. She could probably chew through it easily if…
If the damn electrikes wouldn’t bite her or zap her, like the nearby one seemed to be doing!
“H.. Hey! Stop that, you damn biters! I’m trying to help you here!” she said, chittering angrily.

They all glared at her with that look that said, very plainly, that they were plain damn frustrated, and to get them out already.
Liz grumbled a few uncomplimentary things about lightning dogs and crept towards the nearest machine, staying out of reach of the teeth and claws of the electrikes.
A closer inspection confirmed that the machine’s metal would be a cinch for her teeth- a nice break from the hard walls and the detergent-ridden rocket uniforms.
She bit down, using Hyper Fang to a degree that made her very happy. The metal seemed to peel away. But then, suddenly, she hit something that sent a wave of jangling sensations through her body.
Her fur, already poofed out, began to stand out in spines, as if she were a sandslash or something. She had been shocked by the current in the machine.
She fell off the machine, panting a moment, waiting for the room to stop buzzing and spinning.
Realizing that the buzzing was actually in the room, and not in her head, she got back up on her feet.
She was fairly sure that if she gnawed at the wires she had just exposed, shed be able to make the machine’s stop, and then could try to free the electrikes once they were no longer actually exploited.
She launched herself at the wires and bit down as hard ahs she could.
Liz felt the machine stop humming, though that seemed to be the only thing that did. She felt every nerve SING with electrical charge, and odd shapes seemed to dance before her eyes.
When she was recovered enough to evaluate herself, she noticed that her headache was back, pounding a head now buzzing in time with the other, still working machines.
Great, Just great. she thought, friggin wonderful
She shook her head, though this time it just made her nauseous. She might as well free the one in the machine she had gnawed up.
Maybe thought a shock-silly idealistic part of her mind, with one free, it’ll help me with the others!
Liz shook her head, dispelling the voice that went against her personality so distinctly.
Why the hell should I help them any more?! Look at them! Not even grateful for the trouble I’m going through to help them out of this disgusting hellhole. See, they’re still glaring at me!
Well, they were glaring, though it wasn’t really at her. They were REALLY glaring at the people who put them in the machines in the first place, and she just happened to be there to glare at.
Liz began to walk out of the room to try to get something to eat and possibly to take a nap, since she felt like she had been beaten with crabhammers from the shocks she had received.
Then, one of the Electrikes in one of the still-working machines yelped softy, prompted by the machine with a painful prod to produce more electricity.
And Liz felt like she would melt under the load of maternal pity that washed over her in that moment.
Fine. She couldn’t leave them.
She’d free one and see if she could get its help in freeing the others. Maybe the stupid voice of so-called reason would be right this time.
She walked over to the dead machine and its occupant, who watched her with tired, half-conscious eyes.
“Hey…” Liz said, walking carefully closer, “I’m just gonna gnaw at those things keeping you here, ok? Then you can get out, ok?” she said, trying her best to be soothing
She leapt to one of the restraints and bit down.
The electrike bit down as well.
On her tail.
She yelped and growled. Stupid, ungrateful little zappy-dogs… She thought, as she fell off the restraint and onto one of the wires attached to the electrike.
The current still being produced by the electrike and trapped in the wire found a place to go, and Liz was zapped with a shockingly huge amount of electricity.
She felt as if she world was sinking away, and as if she was teetering on the edge of her conciousness.
Great. Just great.
And to top it all off, the electrike was trying to lunge at her.
She saw something rolling into her vision, and Flung it at the electrike before she could think.
The last thing she noted before her muscles turned to wet noodles and the buzzing noise carried her off into unconsciousness was that she had just thrown a poke ball at the electrike.
Then she collapsed in a faint, looking like a purple hairball rather than a ratatta.

She wouldn’t know until she woke up, with a headache twice as painful as the horrible one she had had the day before, whether she had caught the electrike and freed it from its evil machine.

User ImageNookies look in to see four Small little dogs as bright as the sparks themselves. He tilted his head because he was slightly confused of what was going on her. “Shouldn’t these Electrikes like these.” he said to himself wondering why an electric type would be scare of there own element.
“I mean I could see me, I would be a dead teddi if I never mess with one of those machines. “He said again to himself.
He decided the best thing was to go in there and check out what was happening. He tip toe in and his fur began to move and move and move. BOOM! He looked like furby, Leanne showed him one, before and it looked a mess, hair everywhere. How was he going go on like this, the Electrikes who just laugh at him, for just looking like this. “I’m No teddy bear! I’m a Teddiursa! I can do this! My hair is wonderful just how it is. I’m warm, cuddly, and cute!” he said trying to pump himself up.

He walk over to the blue one he was trying to n** at him and he gave and puppy dog face. “Awww Miss Electrike, who could you, hit a little teddy bear like me? I’m a big ball of fluff, who likes to eat food, not you.” He said trying to clam her down. “I came here to save you! I’m a teddi with a lot of extra fat. I eat to much just watch.” he said making himself hungry.

The Electrike started to laugh at the sight of a gaint fluff ball trying to save her and bear her fangs. Nookies ran straight out of the door, knowing that he would get hurt if he didn’t. ”Hmm I bring her some food and give it to her maybe she will like me and go into the pokeball that is in the room. I can eat first to show her that I’m a fatty and then give her some food to make her go asleep. Perfect! It will work! Yes! This little teddybear is nothing to play around with!” he said to himself.

He walked downstairs to the room that had the food. He had found this room before and though it a place for Giratina. “O! Look at all this wonderful food.”he saiod drooling.

He walked over and standed on his high heels. His hair was getting in his way. He sighed and thought. “Man ...If Leanne could see me now. She would laugh her but off and tell that I look silly.” He looked up on the food to try to decide on what to get. “Oh I’ll take this, this. this. OH yeah and this and that. Oh can’t forget about that. Aww man everything looks so good.” he said shaking his head trying to get out of the trace of the food.

He grabbed all his things and ran back to the room as he walked back in BOOM! His hair grew even bigger and he became more like a furby, how nasty. “Great! Just great!” he huff. He madly threw the food the Electrikes, hoping that they would take the bait, which they did. Nookies grin.

“Hahaha! Teddy bears always win!” he said as he grab the pokeball and threw it at the blue one. He knew that if he caught this one he would get a rub down from Leanne little bother, Sam. He love electric type; that all he battle with; and he love the color blue, so that one would be ultimate win.

This day was just too long. Dakota had just about knocked her own brains out in an attempt to open up a door. Flare Blitz was nobody's best friend. The poor puppy Pokemon somewhat stumbled to her feet and trudged along behind the rest of the other Pokemon. Her mood wasn't dampened in any sense, but she just had a huge headache. One paw moved in front of the other. Dakota knew this because her eyes were paying more attention to the floor rather than what was going on in front of her.

Maybe she should have been paying attention to in front of her instead. The group ended up bringing the black Growlithe to a room that literally made Dakota's fur stand on end. It wasn't from anger, but just from the electricity dancing in the air. Only when her hair was on end did the puppy's brown eyes glance up towards the scene.

Perhaps the puppy Pokemon had a one track mind, or maybe she did not recognize the Pokemon cruelty going on in front of her. Instead, she noticed that the Electrikes were puppies. And Dakota liked puppies. Her little stub of a tail wagged from side to side and she trotted in as if nothing was wrong. She attempted to sniff the rear end of the spotted green electric type in greeting. Instead of having another damp puppy nose pushed towards her, she had teeth lunging at her. Dakota did not like this. She backed away with a bit of a yelp and looked at her paws as if to check that she was still okay. Despite the appearance which Dakota could observe, she actually had taken a pretty harsh n** to the shoulder which had broken the skin slightly.

The black puppy let out a bit of a grunt and looked to the other Electrike in the room. Every single one of them looked upset, their backs arched, ears flat against their heads, and their stances seeming quite stiff. She was not in the mood to get hurt twice. She lay down a decent distance away so she could not get attacked again and began to think. How could she get these puppies to play with her?

A few stray thoughts managed to linger through her simple mind, and she came up with a few conclusions.

Conclusion 1: This room was really messing up her fur.
Conclusion 2: The strange harnesses were holding the puppies in place, preventing them from playing.
Conclusion 3: If these Pokemon bit her, she would have to bite back this time.

Tending to the first issue, Dakota used Safeguard, which created a small glow around her body and shielded her from the static in the air. The puppy panted slightly in relief, since her fur being on end like that did bother her slightly more than having a flea on her neck.

The growlithe stood there for a moment and looked over the situation again. With a nod of her head, the black puppy then charged into the pile of Electrike. The first one she approached rather quickly was the green spotted companion from earlier. If there was one thing that Dakota could do well, it was Bite onto things. Her own trainer commonly had to buy the black Growlithe new toys for her to chew on, since they tended to get destroyed too quickly. Dakota put the metal between her teeth and started to chew. She felt the sting of teeth upon her hind leg, which she growled out and lashed back at the Electrike with her own set of fangs. She quickly went back to work, and just as she broke the piece of metal, she got a swift zap to her body.

Yelping slightly as she was thrown back a bit, Dakota landed within the range of the first Pokemon she assisted. However, it did not attack. Instead, it huffed a short bark at her and went to the other side of the room and curled up. It was still not in a good mood (but who could blame it?) and did not seem ready to help its savior. The black Growlithe didn't realize that she had been shocked by the machine as she broke through the metal, but instead thought she got shocked by the Electrike. And in this simple puppy's mind, this would not do.

Dakota stood up once more and eyed the other three Electrike. Maybe if she moved around quicker, she could do a better job of not getting hurt? Nodding her head at her new plan, she began to run swiftly, using her Agility to her advantage. Instead of focusing on just one strange harness, Dakota ran in, would Bite onto the machine and snap the metal off, then run around the remaining Electrike until she was ready for the next round. Though this plan was going well, for some reason, the puppy Pokemon was still getting shocked, which caused the Growlithe to grunt out. Maybe it was a mistake and if she did this again she wouldn't get hit. She ran in again, latching onto the metal on the harness and snapping it off again. This time she yelped as she felt the electric energy pulsing through her body rather harshly.

Her injuries from earlier and now were really getting to her. Dakota no longer had the stamina to continue using Agility. Her brown eyes darted towards the corner in which the freed Electrike had been gathering, spying 2 green Pokemon and 1 gray Pokemon. Her eyes danced into the opposite direction and locked onto the blue Electrike. Would this one want to play after losing the strange harness? Dakota edged closer to it, her steps a bit heavier than before. The blue Electrike snarled at the black puppy, warning her to keep away. Would Dakota heed such warnings?

Apparently not, as she literally hoisted her forepaws on this Pokemon's back and began to Bite onto the contraption. Mid-chew, she felt another surge of electricity run through her, though this time it really was from the puppy she was trying to help. Apparently it decided to use Discharge to try and discourage her from doing anything more. Dakota's muscles in her mouth tensed solely due to the electricity surging through her. Her muscles tensed to the point where the sheer force of her gritting her teeth around the contraption broke the harness. The blue Pokemon wriggled out from under Dakota with its own grunt and went to join its companions.

Dakota flopped to the floor, much like a puppy pancake. She didn't really feel like playing much anymore. Her eyes were barely open as she looked to the other puppies. Just before her eyes shut, she managed to catch a glimpse of them beginning to approach her. Based off the aggressive behavior from earlier, she figured that the pack of Electrike puppies were going to attack. Her eyes were now shut, and she tensed her body, mentally wincing and preparing for the attack they were bound to do.

However, this was not Dakota's fate. Rather than attack, the 4 Electrike puppies huddled around Dakota, as if to try and protect their savior. Dakota smiled a small puppy smile, baring her teeth slightly before snuggling into the nearest fluffy-butt to take a well deserved rest. Maybe later they would want to play?

Fang had moved up to the opened door, peering in like everyone else. 'How...heartless...' He had failed last time, but he'd try even harder this time. 'No pain, no gain...' He eyed the pieces strapped down and mentally reviewed what he did know, and with gritted teeth, dashed up to one of the eletrikes.

"So sorry for this..." He spat out before latching onto the rearmost part of the machine keeping the eletrike in, using a Super Fang to start and hanging on, allowing the eletricity to flow through him and start to weaken him. As it lowered his health to about 75%, he went and tried for a directed Endeavor at the rest of whatever was keeping the eletrike in, in an effort to free this one.

Spazzing still, he teetered over to another, repeating the previous process and further reducing his effectiveness. 'Hope....two'z enough...there's enough of us around to finish, right?' He plopped onto the floor, fur on end, and waited for the eletricity in the room to be shut off.

(I tried. *l*)

Wiggling his way though the crowd, Zander investigated the electrical room. It was then, he wished he was back in his desert, curled beneath the safe, warm sand. With a sullen gaze, he witnessed the horrifying scene. Poor pups, he thought. Obviously the elecrikes were being held there against their will, and the sandshrew crawled forward to the rescue.

"'Ey there, mate!" He greeted the electrikes with an outstretched claw. The dogs only reacted with a growl and a snap. Zander pulled his claws away, frowning. "Aw, c'mon sheila, I'm only tryin' to help." The sandshrew's comforting coo's was only met with an electric attack from his opponents. Zander shook off the attack, tsking his dissapointment, "Sorry to say, mate. That won't work on me." he said, knocking on his hard hide, as if it was obvious.

"Well, I'll give you a second chance later. Under more pleasant circumstances, perhaps." He withdrew from the grouchy dogs, and cautiously went to examine the machines. Not too long later, he spotted a crack in the "shell" of the machine. With his Metal Claw move to the aid, Zander ripped the exterior right off, revealing its intricate and vulnerable wires. Without a clue in the world about what he was doing, the sandshrew grabbed a handful of the wires, and yanked. Electrical jolts pulsed through the mouse's body. A little singed, but completely unharmed, Zander whispered, "Take that, Rockets!"

Rather proud of himself, the sandshrew stepped back to admire his work. He grinned, the machine completely silent. "You're welcome, pups." He said, tossing his pokeball at one of them. "You deserve a nice, safe rest."

Shadow's eyes widened as he stepped into the open room. He had expected some grunts or maybe a few machines, but definitely not what he did see. Four poor electrikes were strapped to some devious looking machines that appeared to be feeding off of their electricity. As he took another step into the room his vision suddenly got impaired by something fuzzy and tan colored! "For the love of---! What now?!", he angrily questioned no one in particular. That's when he realized that the static in the room was giving him a bad fur day! Grunting to himself angrily he flattened the hair by his eyes and bound towards the electrikes.

Much to his surprise, and irritation, the electrikes snapped at him everytime he got near making getting them free practically an impossible feat. Normally he would've just ditched them, heck in normal conditions he wouldn't have bothered trying to save them, but he felt sorry for these guys. Shadow eyed the machines they were strapped to with much thought and consideration. If he tried flat out destroying it who knew what would happen to the electrike. The metal covering the machines didn't look to strong so perhaps he could melt it off.

Shadow immediately started to use flamethrower on the machines. He kept the flames in as neat a jet as he could as not to irritate the electrike any further. He had successfully melted off the main parts of the machine, causing only minimal damage to the electrike and himself! The electrike that he had helped looked a little less irritated and more willing to cooperate once the machine had stopped. Shadow helped the electrike chew out of its straps and when they finished the two of them repeated the procedure on the others until everyone was free.

"Erm... Run along now~", Shadow huffed. He wasn't the best at making friends, so he wasn't that graceful with his wording. The three electrike that had been most recently freed ran off with quick words of thanks, but the first one stayed behind. "Let's go together~", it suggested with a toothy grin. Shadow snorted, but agreed nonetheless. Together they bound for the door, but just when Shadow thought his troubles in this room were over he tripped on the safari ball that he'd most likely dropped. To his dismay it flew forward and hit his new electrike friend in the head. Could this day get any worse?

Just one.
One tiny white tipped paw carefully placed itself into the now open room.
A surge of energy seemed to coat the paw, causing it's tiny hair strands to quickly stand at attention.
Next came a petite plum snout, twitching nervously with long titanium white whiskers, detecting all that was insde this eerie room.
Pain and deppression seethed from it, hissing a pathetic sigh as the doors opened.
The little common field mouse known as 'Rattata' wrinkled his nose in distgust and idsbelief.
For what he saw before him was more heart-wrentching abuse.
Four en-slaved electric Pokemon lay before Tank.
His ruby eye's reflected the pain they were so clearly in.
The hissing and snapping of electricitydanced with rage across his glossy eye's.
Simply looking at the Pokemon, his own kin, his family, caused him to have to fight back a tear.
No human or Pokemon deserved this.
This was just wrong.
Another paw dipped into the prison, his head held up high, determination fired in his blood red eye's.
Taking tentitive steps in, Tank began to push through into the room.
The air was thick, and heavy.
It weighed down his already minut, light body.
The humidity was almost unbearable, as it forced his fur to rise uniformly.
He had to tuck his little head down and close his eye's as he tredged through, his ears drooping along with his coiled tail dragging behind him.
His mouth opened in a pant as he felt the electricty lash around him, through him, biting his body to suck his energy and focus.
But he continued to push through, carefully placing his paws, at a steady pace.
The Electrikes were obviously irritated, as would any other if they had been in their living conditions.
Their body's were barely hanging on to the low amount of sanity they still had.
Pain was etched in their eye's and souls.
Tank could hardly take it. His eye's clamped closed for a moment as he gasped for air through his mouth.
Opening his firey eye's once more, he stared at the condition.
His mind raced as to what he could do.
What could he do?
He was a simple Rattata.
He was not gifted with amazing moves as most were.
Just Physical attacks. He had no way of putting the Electrikes to sleep to ease their pain, he had no way to help them regain their strength, he couldn't teleport them.
A feeling of helplessness succumed Tank's mind.
Only one simple idea came to him, as he gazed at the prisoner Pokemon.
They were equiped with inhuman straps on their weak body's.
That's what was causing their pain.
Creeping along to the side of the machine, sparks clawing at him, Tank poised himself so he was facing all the straps connected to the Electrike.
Sheathing those ruby's once again he took a deep breath.
Lifting his tail with quite a struggle, it began to glow.
"This is all I can do..I'm sorry.." he said aloud, trying to show his hurting kin that he was doing the best he could to help them.
They let out low growls, but did not seem to budge as to not waste energy.
His hind lifted as well, as he placed his back paws against the wall behind him.
Peeling open in a flash, his eye's focused on the straps, his tail glowing like the Sun.
Using all his energy, Tank rushed the straps, using a Quick Attack and Iron Tail combination to release the dogs from their shackles.
As he ended up on the other side, the Electrike gave out a sighing howl, as the cords snapped their control from the puppies.
The Electrike collapsed to the ground with a small thud, as they were freed.
Panting excesivly, Tank's tail fell followed by his body.
His eye's blinked warily, looking to the Electrike.
The heaviness seemed to begin to thin, and the crackling of electricity was being shushed.
His eye's fluttered, as he breathed heavily.
It was all he could do.
Maybe he couldn't stop the machine immedeatly, but at least he could free the Electrike from the controlling grip.
Finally another idea rushed to his head.
Tank's trainer at the moment was in need of a companion, and these poor canine's were in need of a caring home.
Who better than his who was currently rented to?
It would give the Electrike a new chance.
Heaving his body up, the little Rattata bounded towards a box of Poke balls and carefully dumped it over, spilling it's contents.
Nudging them along with his muzzle he bumped them against the Electrike
in hopes of giving them a second chance.
For that's all he could do.
Now all he could do was let them rest and wait for what fate held in store.
He did his best to save his kin, it may not have been glamerous as other Pokemon could, but at least he freed them.

Yet another door had opened. Dream sighed with discontent and wondered what horrors and annoyances would pop out this time. Waiting for some snake, bird, or overactive mind-washed pokemon to come out at him he geared up and rolled his shoulders back until.........nothing. Nothing had happened.....why not? And was that a buzzing he was hearing? It was some strange sound, an amalgam of buzzing, sparking, hissing, the occasional pop, and......whining? No. No he was not getting involved in this one. But as he crept towards the door, the whining insued and even got louder, his keen hearing picking it out among all the other sounds. Walking into the doorway carefully his hair immediately stood on end, making him look like the giant fuzzy lost left slipper from hell and he stood up on his hind haunches to smooth out the fur around his face as best he could to see. Shaking his head and thrashing about a little while the whining persisted, he was finally able to see.

The sight was enough to break a Groudon's heart, it was. As he watched the end of the room, there were young Electrikes hooked up to an ungodly machine. What kind of human would come up with a machine completely powered on pokemon?! He closed his eyes tightly to make the guilt and urge to get involved go away, but as he did his hearing intensified once more and the whining and soft, pitiful howling assaulted him even more so.

'That could be Dakota in there,' he thought. The whining was much like any other puppy, and due to his intense and quick bond with the little black Growlithe he couldn't make himself ignore it any longer. His conscience wouldn't let him, and he was almost glad that he was man enough to know when to take responsibility and DO something for once. All this time he hadn't done anything but make a minor annoyance of himself, and tell others that they shouldn't try to do anything. His trainer wouldn't have stood for that, and he felt ashamed that he'd ever even CONSIDERED leaving these pups to their fate. Attempting to walk forward, one of the pups snapped at him, sending a healthy Thunder Fang his way, and catching his side as he writhed on the floor in fluffy pain. Okay. So they didn't seem to want you to go near them.

Forcing himself up, he tried shaking off the pain and static as the closer he got the poofier he became, but winced and cried out as his side throbbed with static residue and a very unhealthy dose of hurt. Looking to his back left leg, he found it paralyzed. Dammit. Would he be able to move? Dragging himself a little ways away and out of the range of another Thunder Fang from the disgruntled and whimpering pups, he decided he couldn't hold it against them. The poor things were being abused in every way possible here, and he knew he'd be right angry with the world if he were in the situation. Looking around for something, ANYTHING, to make a long-range attack with, he looked over at the machine. The front didn't seem to be made of tough material since that's where the humm was coming from, so it was weak enough to resonate all the electrical energy inside. But it would be too dangerous to slam into it or attack it physically. It could blow up the whole room, and then where would any of them be? Then it hit him. Trying to sit up on his haunches, he winced and fell back to the ground with his idea spinning inside his head, trying to ignore the stabbing, almost numb feeling in his leg and braced himself on the ground. Hopefully his idea would take care of the poof situation too, since he wasn't too fond of looking like an overstuffed, vaguely roughed up feather-duster.

Taking in a breath, he decided to overload the system. If the Electrikes wouldn't work WITH him, but didn't know any better than to work against him, he'd FORCE them to save themselves. He usually wasn't so bossy or manipulative, but he knew this had to be done as a man and as a fellow pokemon, it was the right thing to do. With a deep breath and a shaking hind leg, static filled rainclouds began to gather at the ceiling of the room.

With a sharp crackle and without warning, it started to rain in the room as his Rain Dance move went into effect. It was well known that water conducted electricity, any little pokemon who'd ever been caught in a rainstorm knew that, especially after watching all the Marill and Azurill scurry out of the water before a stray lightning bolt hit their lake or pond. He'd seen it in the daycare too, and knew from a particularly fiesty Squirtle that if you doused an electric type with enough water, they almost shocked themselves silly. The Electrike had no CHOICE but to use electricity and overload like that, and as the water started hitting them they howled an whimpered and thrashed against the machine that was holding them in place as massive amounts of super-conducted electricity poured out of them. Dream tried to hobble out of the way as the machine started rumbling and with a mild CHAK-BANG! the inside was fried and started smoking out the seams of the weak wall that Dream had noticed moments before. The wall was singed in one corner, and Dream hobbled over, sort of hop-walking by using his back right leg to force his weight up and his strong side muscles to spring back and then forward to propel himself ahead, and got to the singed corner. It was vaugely small, but he knew he could squish into a lot of unlikely places. It was what his lean body was made for. Since most of the energy was taken out of him because of the paralyzed leg that was slowly creeping up his back and side to make him immobile, he only managed a feeble tackle on the singed black spot.

It burned a little, but it gave immediately and he looked inside the machine, poking his head through while it continued to rain in the hallway. The rain was quickly tiring the Electrike out even though the machine wasn't sapping them anymore, but he could hear them gnawing and sparking at the tubes that connected them to it to get away. There had to be a locking mechanism for it. Inside, he found a box that was seemingly untouched, protected by the blown breaker box since it was underneath and behind, away from the overload. That had to be it, he was sure. There were wires connecting to the outside, it had to be the thing he was looking for. Wiggling his nose through, he used a feeble Water Pulse for good measure to take out any power left in the machine and the box cracked and sparked a little before the little red L.E.D. light on top of it stopped glowing.

Wiggling out, he heard a howl and a few yips as the pups shook off their devices, and the rain started to subside. Huddling in the corner, wet and quickly becoming incapacitated, Dream hoped they weren't still so angry that they'd attack someone who'd just helped him. He wasn't so lucky, or so he thought. While three of the pups yipped and growled their approval and ran out towards the exit, the one that had bitten him in the first place came growling and murmuring to itself, sniffing all around him and growling softly. "Dammit.....this better work...." he mumbled weakly, flicking his tail one last time at the Safari Ball he'd dropped earlier that had rolled over somehow, and with that the Thunder Fang did its damage and made him completely unable to move or run away. But not before the ball rolled over to tap the Electrike's paw.....

Miu snarled as she walked into the room. Instantly, her fur puffed out, including her crest hair which now looked more like an Afro, and she could feel the crackle of electricity around her. Snorting in disdain, she took note of the large machine, her tails twitching behind her. "Koorie better damn well brush the static out of my fur or so help me Arceus....." Her ranting was cut short as the scent of four canines came to her. Padding around carefully, she found the four Electrikes in the back corner of the room.

"-grumble grumble- stupid humans -grumble grumble- haven't eaten....." A few of the Electrikes continued to mumble under their breaths, their hackles raised as they were forced to continued with their constant electricity feeding for the Rockets.

Miu padded closer and instantly getting attacked by a strong Thunder attack. Yelping a little, she took a small leap back and shook herself a bit. Watching the Electrikes, they did nothing to even acknowledge her, and it dawned on Miu that these poor canines were so exhausted that they wanted nothing near them. Now how, she had to get them out of that state and out of the individual hell that these scum-bag Rockets were putting them through. She could feel rage building up in her, and she had to physically shake her head in order to refocus herself on the task at hand; saving these poor pokemon - She could kill those poor excuses for humanity later.

She had to be careful, the electricity was thick around her, and the Electrikes were too close to the machines to simply just attack the machine itself; if it ended poorly and the machine blew up, the canines wouldn't stand a chance and all hope would be lost for saving them. As she began pacing back and fourth, her mind calculated quickly over all of the options she could do. Most of the fire attacks she knew would be far too powerful to use and would put them all at risk. She could use a confuse ray on the Electrikes, but that could cause them to then attack themselves or the machine, and that would end poorly as well. Now, her only option was to go in and free them herself, which would probably involve her having to knock them out and pull them away.

Using a Protect on herself, she bounded into close range, still feeling the electrical zap through her, but the brunt of the damage was taken away from her Protect. Coming to the first Electrike, she snarled as she was hit in the face by another Thunder attack. She quickly moved, using an Ember on the harness to weaken the metals, then snapping them quickly and efficiently with an Iron Tail attack. Once she had freed the first one, it collapsed in exhaustion. Moving to the second, then the third, she continued methodically to break the harnesses that kept the Electrike to the machine. Once she got to the fourth one, she could feel her muscles slowing as the electricity in the air caused her to come into paralasys. Gritting her teeth, she focused on the task at hand, pushing herself harder than ever to free the last Electrike.

Once all four of them had been freed, she then began to drag them from the room out to the door. Biting onto the scruff of the first one, electricity ran all the way through her, causing her to freeze as her muscles completely paralyzed. Breathing deeply, she slowly regained control over her body and began dragging the electric canine to the door. It took her what felt like hours, but in reality was only 10 minutes, for her to get three out of the four pokemon to the hallway where they could safely be tended to. She looked back into the room in pain, panting heavily as she watched the fourth, praying it would regain consciousness; she had no strength left at all and she had pushed herself far beyond her limits of capability. Seeing the bag of pokeballs near her, she closed her eyes, gathering the little strength she had left. She HAD to rescue that fourth and final pokemon, there was no 'if's 'and's or 'but's about it. Slowly, she forced herself to her paws, her heartbeat pounding heavily in her ears. Focusing on each step, she made her way to the ball bag and gently took one in her mouth, then walked into the room. Her breathing was hard and finally, she collapsed. Paralysis fully set in on her and she couldn't move her legs any more. Gently, she let the ball drop from her mouth and watched it roll to the final canine laying motionless on the floor. In a burst of red light, the pokemon disappeared into the ball and Miu smiled tiredly, the ball just in front of her. Slowly she closed her eyes, letting herself rest; she'd succeeded, she'd helped all four of them, and now she needed to rest in order to gain the strength in order to save her human companion and the other trainers.
