Schraeder made a small note on a pad before slipping it into his pocket. "Interesting." He saw that the ladies has drinks and decided to try out his new, awkward social skills. "Would one of you care to accompany me to get another drink?"

Adela gave a small smile to Mike. "I'm sure it is. Can't wait to see it!" Once she heard the reporter's question, she decided to go with him. "You know what, I'll go with you," she grinned. It was a party; you could not NOT have a drink while at a party. More than likely though, I'm gonna end up getting water. I don't want to end up with a huge hangover tomorrow.

Lisha did not say anything. She was stock still, paralyzed by all the people. Normally awkward in a situation with a small amount of people, she felt completely out of place. Music was in the background, beating as fast as her nervous heart. She closed her eyes. Why did I even come here? It's not my place. But I do like fireworks. I'll stay a little longer... Trying to do something, and not be a complete and total weirdo, Lisha asked them, "Do you like fireworks much?" She was still feeling awkward, but decided to come along.

((Good, good. Interact a few more posts and we'll make things... move. Violently.))
Mike smiled broadly and followed after them, apparently going for a drink as well.

Schraeder glanced over his shoulder, surprised that he had such a following. Maybe he could be good at this too. He got to the bar and turned to Adela first. "What would you like?" he said in his soft voice. Over his shoulder, he said, "Scotch, please. On the rocks."

Adela hadn't heard Lisha speak, so she didn't answer Lisha's question. She told Shraeder, "I think I'm just gonna have some water now. I don't want to get drunk here, you know?" She too was surprised that both Mike and Lisha had followed them. Eh. Drinks are drinks.

"Water," over his shoulder. Next was Lisha. "For you? And yes, I am fond of fireworks."

"Water. I'm a bit to young for much else," Lisha replied. Rubbing a shoulder full of stress knots. Maybe sleeping more would help.
((Sorry for shortness. I'm feeling braindead right now....))

"Make that two waters," he said, then took the two glasses and gave one to each girl. "And for you, sir?" Schraeder asked Mike.

"Oh, just grab me a beer," he suggested with a grin. He leaned casually against the bar, checking his watch. "Maybe... oh, we'll do it early, five minutes," he muttered to himself, his grin now more personal.

"You heard the man," Schraeder said to the bartender, who was still managing to keep up. He grabbed an ice cold beer from the cooler and passed it to Schraeder, who forwarded it to Mike. Schraeder grabbed his own Scotch and turned to...oh, Adela. "So, what brings you here?" he asked.

Adela smiled, "Eh. My dad couldn't make it to the party, so I took his place. I thought it'd be a fun event." She took a big gulp of her water before asking him, "Name's Adela. What's yours?"

Schraeder tossed back a sip of Scotch as she spoke. "Stetson Schraeder," he said. "I work at the college newspaper, here to report on the party." He took another sip. "Among other things," he muttered.

Adela looked at Stetson with a raised eyebrow. "Well Stetson, I'm glad to see you're having fun. But really, what else are you here for?" she asked him in a lower voice. It seemed that he didn't want for others to really know. Darn me and my curiosity.

"Hm? Oh."
He took another sip. "Ah, people like honesty. That's right." He didn't seem to realize that he was speaking aloud. "Well, I'm here to learn about social interactions. I'm not really...good at it, you might say."
He smiled softly at her. "And please, call me Schraeder."
