Ok, let me see. I tried to find good comparison pics. I'm putting one of Jade too because she was going through her photo album and she thinks she used to look like Lacey when she was a chubby baby too!
And I noticed from seeing Jade at this stage that it wasn't until after she was 1 and had more hair that we realized how light it was going to be, and when Lacey's hair is washed and fuzzy and I view it from the side, it looks light, and almost red! We'll see what it looks like when she's bigger!
In order, Lacey, Jason, Jade

fawNie, no word of lie, if someone I didn't know showed me that picture and asked me who it was, I would say Jason right away! It just looks so much like him now and I don't know quite anyone else with the same features!

apricotbaby fawNie, no word of lie, if someone I didn't know showed me that picture and asked me who it was, I would say Jason right away! He does have certain features that look like just him, huh? From about this age on, I can always pick him out of old family photos, compared to some of the other kids. Jason's mom LOVES comparing baby photos and seeing who of the new babies looks like who of her original kids.

I haven't seen many baby pictures of my mom or dad, but when I was little I looked almost identical to my paternal grandmother as she looked as an adult feature-wise. One of these days I'll get some pictures scanned. She died when I was just 5 or 6. I look more like my dad's side of the family but I have hands like my mom's side. Mine and my maternal grandmother (who was also one of my "soulmates", I believe) were practically identical.

That's so cool! It's neat when family members look like each other at various stages of their lives. Everyone thinks that Jason's mom looked like Jason's sister Audra when she was younger. When Jade was a baby, it was weird, I felt like I was holding myself as a baby, from the pictures I'd seen of me. And when I had Amber, she looked so much like Jade, I felt like I'd done all this already. Lacey's so chubby now his family can't believe it. In a way, I'm glad she can get like that off just my milk, because with both Amber and Jade I felt like I was inadequate and couldn't feed them enough myself. But then I worry about how me having gestational diabetes when I was pregnant had a chance of setting her up to be obese in life, or have diabetes herself.
Jade keeps asking me what she inherited from me instead of from dad. I tell her she gets her straight straight hair from me. And recently I've noticed and told her she probably gets her odd freckles here and there from me (I have too many and have to go get checked by a specialist once or twice a year, as my dad's had both kinds of skin cancer), and a deep cleft over her upper lip like me. She has the same color eyes as Jason (brown on the outside and green on the inside) and colorblindness. Amber has crooked toes with the third one pointing down and the second and fourth pointing up, like an M, and my mom thinks mine were like that when I was a baby, and when I flex my toes, I can kind of see the pattern. And Lacey has Jason's one ear that sticks out, although his doesn't anymore.

Awwww... you know I was just thinking about Dr. Oleski's baby when you mentioned the gestational diabetes and how chubby she is now, but she is also half Asian so I don't think she'll be chubby her entire life. I think it all has to do with diet and if a child has a good diet to begin with and never has the chance to become obese early in life that they maintain that throughout the rest. I never had anyone over my shoulder telling me not to eat things so that was my issue. I have been heavy since the 4th grade and it sucks! LOL
I was going to say something about Jason's ears when he was a little baby but I didn't want it to sound mean. I actually think that babies with ears sticking out like that are the most adorable little things ever. smile You have 3 beautiful daughters, fawNie! I can already see Amber's personality coming out a LOT! She's gonna be a little rascal. hehe

Jason keeps reminding me about some of our nieces who started off chubby and are thinning out now around age 3-5. My dad was ultra chubby when he was a baby (born 10lbs 11oz,) and was slightly "thick" looking as a child, but was a normal, if not thin, adult. So we'll see!

Ugh! No kidding. I'm looking forward to getting through the tons of inquiries from girls wanting to be placed into Girl Scout troops--apparently there are a ton of them, and it's part of my new job to find/create troops for them. Lucky me.
Twinnie!! You should come up to Boston sometime during my winter break!

fawN, my brother was super chunky as a kid and thinned out right around middle school. He was super hot by the time high school came around.
