Cody darted into the room, noticing how anxious Pepper was to shut the door. "Ah, I wouldn't either if I lived here," he replied. A quick glance around the room told him very little of what went on usually. It was just simple and plain.

"How in the world do you not get lost here? So many hallways that all look the same," he muttered, fiddling with one of the longer feathers that grew alongside his hair. His mom was complaining about having his hair cut, but he had absolutely refused to let her near him with scissors. The thought of having his precious feathers cut was an absolute disgrace to him, to say the least.

"But what to do... Hm..." Cody continued to look around for inspiration on what to do. Yet, nothing came to mind and frustrated the spawn child even more.

Now that he looked closer, there WAS obvious signs of destruction. Like the chair in the corner and the scratches in the floor. Although, the fact that Pepper slept under a bed was slightly disturbing. "HA! Looking for me? Psh, the only one home doesn' care and mum won' come get me till six," he replied, scowling a bit. If only Ary was a bit more willing to give him a ride home, then he wouldn't be stuck at the facility for another half hour or so.

"Wait, isn't sleeping under a bed uncomfortable? Even if it wasn't cramped?" Cody asked, trying to shift the conversation away from his... rather crazy household. It wasn't like he was embarrassed about it, it was just very difficult to explain for him.

Cody couldn't help, but laugh at how Pepper looked hiding under the bed. He looked like something from a horror film, glittering eyes and all. "That sounds hilarious," he commented, able to picture quite clearly someone getting up and screaming as Pepper grabbed their ankles.

"Wish I could do that. Don' have any siblings so it doesn' have the same effect," he continued with a small pout. But, there wasn't anything he could do to change that as of now so he'd just have to deal with being an only child.

Cody moved closer to the bed and crouched down to get a good look at how much space there was. "Nyeeeeaaahhh, I'd have to pass. Don' think there' enough room with my wings. Might get stuck or somethin'," the child replied as he quickly realized how cramped it was under there. Sure he could pull his wings in fairly close to his body, but it was extremely uncomfortable and tiring.

"Maybe another time," he added with a soft sight and glanced at the clock he had spied earlier. "Mom should be coming by soon... Race to the front door?" the child asked, eager to have something to do again.

Cody quickly followed after him and down the hallway. Once again, he was lost before he had taken the first turn as everything looked far too similar for his tastes. He ran past the signs too quickly for them to be read clearly and direct him a little better towards the entrance.

Pepper, of course, remained several steps ahead of him no matter what Cody did to change that. Hell, the spawn knew the hallways far more than the spawn had hoped for and struggled to keep going the right way.

Cody skidded to a halt, flaring out his wings to help slow the spawn down before he ran into the doors or Pepper. "Hm? Oh! Yeah, that is," he replied, seeing Shadai exit the car and worriedly look around for him. "Next time, we can race and there should be prizes!" he replied, grinning widely at the thought of gaining something upon winning a simple game such as racing.

"Bye Pepper, see again soon?" he asked as he opened the door and took one step out, wondering if he could possibly convince his mother to bring him back so he could run around with Pepper again. He had too much fun to not come back anyways.
