Does anyone else think it's a little too easy? I'm up to chapter 12 and so far I've only died a few times although I'm playing it on hard...I'm sure uncharted 1 felt alot harder than this when I played it on hard.
Maybe you're just that awesome. Uncharted 2 kicked my a** on Normal.

lol thanks but I'm really not...I'm usually pretty rubbish. My theory is that in the last game you had to keep ducking and rolling and moving about the environment during the big gunfights. Although the AI has been improved in Uncharted 2 somehow the environment doesn't let you make you have to constantly move position to avoid being hit.
Another theory is perhaps that once you've figured out how best to tackle the enemies then you've pretty much aced the game. When I played through Uncharted 1 on normal I died loads of times but when I played it through the second time on Hard it was easier in some respects.

Up to now, and I'm half way through, I'm not enjoying this one as much as the first one. Whether that's because I didn't have any expectations from the first one and thus absolutely loved it, I've had alot of expectations from the second game, especially since lots of people say how brilliant it is...and I'm finding it too easy and a little too...boring? As much as I love the storyline and charcters sometimes I think "ok enough of the video clips, let me play the damn game." The characters are also constantly telling you what to do, like "look at that ladder over there" or "perhaps you should climb that"...and it just spoils it. You're constantly lead all the way through the game and told what to do..

Yea, but like I said, I finished Uncharted 2 on Crushing difficulty... Wait, did you play Uncharted 2 right after playing Uncharted 1? Cause there was a bit of a gap for me, and I might've just gotten rusty.

Personally I found it to be significantly easier than the first.

I couldn't finish Uncharted 1 on crushing lol. It's been quite a fair few months since I last played Uncharted 1. I agree with Martial Spirit though, I also think it's alot easier than the first.

Now, hold on... I wouldn't say A LOT easier. I mean, I thought U2 was more difficult, but it's not like I have a way of measuring exactly. Even if it is easier, I wouldn't say it's a LOT easier.

I didn't find anything difficult about UC2, except perhaps the final boss. On Crushing, of course.

Wheres in the first Uncharted, practically every single firefight was desperate, particlar ones taking me over an hour to complete.

I seriously have no idea why. Like I said, Medium gave me a run for my money in UC2. But I've finished UC1 on Crushing without having too much trouble. I mean, it was challenging, yes, but I got through it with less pain than Uncharted 2.

I don't know if I asked this before, but have you played Uncharted 1 after playing Uncharted 2? Maybe you'll have an easier time with Uncharted 1 now?

I definately agree with you. I think the whole game is considerably easier. I died at leats once in every single gunfight in Uncharted 1. I remember only being a couple of levels into the game and dying quite a fair few times and that was on normal. In Uncharted 2 you can get through a whole gunfight without any problems. I can't see why they've changed the difficulty setting so much...I was happy with them the way they were. In Uncharted 1 I felt like I had to constantly duck and roll and hide in the environment and you had to keep moving otherwise you'd get shot, I don't feel like that so much in Uncharted 2. You can almost stay in one spot and shoot everyone.

Spoiler warning:

There's one gunfight in Chapter 6 (http://uk.guides.ign.com/guides/14225971/page_38.html - this website of a walkthroughshows screenshots) where quite alot of bad guys attack and the gunfight is quite long, but all I did was jump on the back of the truck and duck and you can just shoot everyone from there. Everytime they toss a greande at you just jump off the truck and hang over the side then climb back up. It made it really easy and I thought they might have thought about it a little more and made the gunfight harder. If I hadn't have used the truck as a hiding point that gunfight would have been much more difficult. Next time I play through that chapter I might not use the truck that way and see how difficult it is.

Just as another note, don't you think they made chloe look alot like the actress who voices her?

Actually, you have a point, Claudia Black does look somewhat like Chloe. I remember her back from Farscape...

I recall that firefight you mentioned; I approached it differently, but still found it easily. After I took the guy out who was in the back of the truck (with the RPG) I managed to stealth kill most of the remaining enemies, using the RPG when I was finally caught.

Extreme, no I have not, but I will return to Uncharted 1 soon and see if it does indeed seem easier.

As much as I've been saying I'm a little disappointed with Uncharted 2 because I think it's easier...I've just played the scene with the tank and the scene straight after with the car chase and ABSOLUTELY LOVED IT. I definately think the snow levels are much better than the rest of the game. I loved the temple where Nate had to climb round everywhere and there were those furry things. I'm close to the end now though sad Although I think maybe I will enjoy it more the second time I play it because I can properly spend time in each chapter looking for secrets and looking at the scenery...during the first play I haven't done much of that because the story leads you on from instance to another at a fast pace.

Well, I like dilapidated urban settings, so visually, I think the town was my favorite part.
And as far as action scenes go, the train was by far my favorite. Just how it keeps going and going and going. And yet the backgrounds don't look like it's the same 10 meters of level repeating. I love it.

Visually the train was brilliant but for gameplay I wasn't that impressed with it. I would have liked to have seen alot more things to knock Drake off the train. It even came up in subtitles at the bottom saying "hang off the side to avoid them" and I didn't think it was THAT difficult to figure out, sheesh. But I liked that you could choose to either jump along the top of the train or go inside, and I liked how the bad guys climbed out from inside onto the top.

But I visually love the snow. It's so realistic. I love how he trudges THROUGH the snow rather than just making footprints on it.

Yeah, I agree there were a few too many unneeded hints in the game. But still, the Train was one of the most intense bits in the game, and just the epicness of it, I loved.

The train was indeed a great moment, but I have to say my favourite is when you [spoiler warning] are assisting in the defence of Tenzin's village and desperately trying to fend off that tank.
