Amy the Space Kadet My boyfriend is a huge Gundam fan, he was PISSED when the transformers got a movie instead of Gundam, but then Japan made that statue and he decided that he was alright with the transformers getting a movie because Gundam got a life-size statue that lights up and crap. You can tell your boyfriend that he should be so glad Gundam didn't have a live action movie. If you haven't noticed all Anime that got their own live action has nothing but shear crap. In fact all of them have fans ready to burn the directors at the stakes and make sure they stay dead after.

Pumkinn ...Who the hell pays for this slag!? Tax payers if the gov't official was a fanatic. Movie commercials because they can out of the box office lol. As for the giant Gundam I think it was from the artists that created Gundam to start with.

Extreme fans find the time and money to do this sort of thing. That's why they are considered extreme. blaugh If you can't think of it that way, think of it as community service, where they are providing robot awesomeness to fans everywhere.
