(( Okay, then... this calls for drastic measures. 3nodding ))
The boy pulled his feet back under him, finally, though nearly lost his footing again as he took a stumbling step back in surprise from the communal roar that was let loose by the other five lizardmen, all at once...
With a cool disposition and a steady hand gripping the quarterstaff, he looked first to the left, then to the right, and then-
"SHABZOT! eek gonk "
-ran like a sissy.
He first started backpedaling for a few steps, but stopped this soon enough, seeing as it wasn't the fastest way to travel when fleeing a bad situation. Instead, he threw his weight around, twisting his whole body and throwing the quarterstaff like a javelin towards the nearest of the creatures; aiming for the lizard-like snout, seeing as it was one of the only areas of exposed flesh on their armored bodies. Without even pausing to see if it connected, however, he turned about on his heels and ran like the wind; not a strategic run, or a tactical jog, or even a battle-ready charge... it was a flat-out coward-run.
However, he was only about sixty feet away from where he had dropped his bag, earlier....

However, he was only about sixty feet away from where he had dropped his bag, earlier.... The staff connected with the nearest lizard's face. He let out a sound similar to a horn of a car, and fell backwards, his nose bleeding. For a few seconds, all he did was convulse in pain, rubbing his nose. He soon stopped and lay there bleeding and breathing heavily. The other four were in hot pursuit of the boy, attempting to run him down. With the dead lizard-man, and one on the ground in pain, there were four after the boy and one attacking eatnukes. Only five and a half left.

The boy had made a b-line straight for his bag of tricks, so to speak... true, a sack full of wooden weapons wouldn't really help him any more than the quarterstaff had, but mixed among the various things sticking out of the bag were a few that were 'real', so to speak. The boy didn't really like those ones, but drastic times called for drastic measures, and a mob of bloodthirsty beastmen tended to qualify under 'drastic times'. So... he went with the 'drastic measures'... The boy started turning even before he reached the bag; dropping down to a crouch on the balls of his feet as he skidded past the bag, pulling out two of the 'sticks' poking out of the top of it and pulling them free, even as he skidded another foot or so, now facing the charging beastmen. The boy held in each hand a shortsword, still in its sheath, but held as if he intended to use them right away. At the ends of the hilts of these, there was a small iron loop, and to this was connected a four foot length of chain which tied the two weapons together. Was it? Could it be? Was it really possible? Yes, it was... the ultimate weapon... "Swordchucks, yo." (( And now I have an art project to get to. xp ))

The weapon still on his right sholder, Nukes bends his knee as his right foot lands on the ground, lowering his height a good seven inches. Now that the lizard man has no back up, a quick end should suffice this one. As his opponent approaches, Nukes lifts the sword up and brings the massive shapened hunk of steel down at the lizard's neck in a slight downwards arc keeping the angle such that simply ducking would still merit a sever case of sword to the cranium syndrome. He would have to move to avoid instant decapitation.

The creature did what it's first reaction was. It used it's shield. True, it was knocked over by the sheer weight of the blade, but it would not allow a Cloud-wanna-be to defeat him so easily. As soon as he fell to the side, he rolled and pushed the large sword towards the ground. He then responded with a swift turn, attempting to smash his tail into the man's eyes. The tail would soon be followed by a sword on the turn.
The boy, however, was proving a problem for the other lizard-men. They reached him, but seeing the alien weapon threw some of them off. The looked at each other for a second, as if saying "you first." None of them wanted to attack, as they had never before fought one who wielded such a thing.
The lizard that was half dead, from being smashed in the face by a staff, coughed a bit from drowning on his own blood, and died. It let out a strange groaning sound as this happened.
The Gold Dragon remained over all, watching and waiting. It needed only five more souls to satiate it's hunger, then it could animate itself in this place.

As the lizard man started to roll, Nukes pulls the sword foward and pushes up, hoping to off-balence the creature and roll him backwards onto, well, his back. As the thing starts to spin at Nukes, he aims a kick to the lizard-man's jaw, at the near same time as the kick would hit, the tail slams into his leg, pushing it out of the way of the thing's own weapon.

((Just joshing with you... Though I'd say Cloud.))
The lizard spins and, while the sword was going to be used for offense, blocks the sword. The sheer weight once again sends him to the side. He skids a bit, pushing the sword to the ground again. Then he jumps out of range of the weapon and grins a reptilian-toothed smile. He readies himself for the attack, and gets his footing right. He raises a claw, beckoning the swordsman, and honks a message. Roughly translated, the message means:
"Bring it."

Not having a bag of tricks of his own, and merely this weapon, he readies it, by holding it at his right side, both hads on the handle. Taking his chance this time, he charges at the lizard, bringing the weapon up, and to the left to make another diagonal slash from the side of his opponents weapon. As he is bringing down the sword, Nukes makes another attempt to kick his opponent, but this time in it's equivelent of a shin.

<_< ... >_> ... ^_^
"HA! scream " the boy shouted loudly to see if he could scare the beastmen a bit more than they already seemed to be... he still hadn't quite gotten to this 'least of them' that the shineyness had been talking about, and in the confusion he had forgotten which one it was. Just his luck, eh?
So he took a shuffling step towards the group, brandishing two weapons, still in their sheaths, with a chain tied between them for some ungodly reason. But, hey, if they were lucky, he might just hurt himself a lot worse than he hurt them. Swordchucks were widely praised as the most dangerous weapon of the sword-variety, after all... except that this danger was mostly directed at the weilder.

The lizards stared at the boy with the strange weapon in confusion. They were unsure how to even confront him. Then, the braver of the four that were following the boy ran forward, his shield and sword mostly protecting his reptilian body. Swordchucks? What were those things? He decided to go on an offensive defense.
The scaly monster fighting eatnukes blocked the sword with his own sword, the weapon practically breaking the reptile's wrist. In pain, the creature honked as it relieved the pressure by jumping backwards again, thus also dodging the kick. It's sword hand would not take another attack like that. Therefore it decided to try something else. It ran forward in a sprint, throwing the sword at the man like one would a knife. Then it leaped into the air, to prounce on the man in a fashion typical of a predatory beast.

As swords don't move as fast as knives or arrows, and the thing having to be a good distance from Nukes to start a sprint and effectively chuck a weapon, Nukes is easily able to step right and let the sword slice past him. At the same time, Nukes lifts his own weapon to point directly at his opponent, nearly locking his arms to have the tip over four five from himself, about three feet for his arms and a bit over two for the blade itself. Though he cannot sustain this for more than a minuit, the lizard's most likely inability to stop would cause him to plant himself squarly on the weapon.
((I thought I had a smarter lizard, but.))

((You seem to forget...))
The lizard came down at nukes with great speed. It knew he would hold his sword up high.
The lizard fell, and with good timing, pushed the sword away with his shield.
As it was a heavy weapon, the lizard was also heavy, and the strain was quite high on the wrists, the lizard was free to push past the sword without major injury (just a small incalculation resulting in a slight cut on it's shield arm) down on eatnukes. It landed with a thud, attempting to claw into him with it's sword-hand.

He decided to go on an offensive defense. The boy slashed at the creature with the left sword- ...however, they were too far apart for it to truly be an attack, weren't they? The answer to that question came quickly enough when the sheath of the weapon flew off, at the creature's chest. Immediately after, the boy flicked his wrists, letting go of each of the weapons and, instead, switching his grip to hold them upside-down in his hands; then he charged as well. (( Man... As the Lizardman began to land Takachiro quickly grabbed his pistol from it's holster. He rosed it at the lizardman with his index finger on the trigger. He grinned widely and pulled it. "Forgot about me."
He quickly placed his gun back in it's holster and grabbed his self-customed blade from his side. He gripped the rim of the ring with his right hand. He bent forward and moved his left leg back. Using it as a boost he pushed off running towards the Lizardmen. The light gleamed on his blade. At the lizardmen's side he rose slashing diagonal at his opponent's face. He bent his back slightly backwards to keep his distance.
"You're mine.."(Oh yea the picture of the god is on the rim of the ring.)
