She sighed. She hated stubborn males, and it appeared she had found yet another one. "Okay, if you really were on the island a long time ago and are some ancient mystical race that I've only just discovered because of a chance encounter due from tardiness from a nap...Prove it. Surely you have something unusual besides your weird appearance."

"Something unusual?" What could that be? He looked around his home, how could it not be proof enough? Just having it appear didn't stun her? He looked at his staff, not unusual...the amber necklace? "This let's the Chieftain of the faun speak to Laisidhiel itself."

Not really. She never ventured out of home much to notice how unusual his home was to begin with. And perhaps it was just her plain personality not to care. "...What?" He was going to speak to the...what? What? Her mind couldn't process further then just 'what'.

He looked at her and a smile broke on his face. He liked that she was stunned by this information. "Well, this place, this tree, is a living breathing thing and I talk to her." He held his arms wide as he looked around. "That's why nothing is truly carved out, more like grown this way."

He was enjoying this! The female almost turned red with anger. Then it suddenly occurred as to the reason why. "Ooooh...thats your power! i see. But that still doesn't prove you're the chieftain of some ancient race." Just a poor, mutated pae'il.

Rais shook his head. "Well, I guess nothing is going to prove it to you?" He didn't really care if she believed him anymore. It was the truth and that was all that really mattered.

"I guess so." She folded her arms, looking determindly at the male. That was what he got for being so mean to her! then again...she hadn't exactly been the nicest either. But that was just her. Just who she was. "So...are you going to take me home now, or what?"

Rais sighed, "I suppose I can." He could be the white knight he normally acted like. He hadn't been himself lately. "Where do you live know?" Rais didn't know much about the isle, but he could try and help find the way.

She nodded, satisfied. "Bout time. I live in the giant lighthouse." She had to tell the truth there. Else she'd never get home again.

"Giant lighthouse?" He looked out the between the branches of the tree and saw a spec that could be a lighthouse. "Far away from home, huh? Ok let's go." He stood up and led her out of his home that he wasn't too happy leaving.

"Only way to be truly alone." The female muttered, almost causing herself to start in surprise. She didn't have to tell him that truth! She mentally kicked herself as she hurried to walk beside him. Her strange clover tail flicked. "I can't believe a met a fuzzy pae today. Who weren't my feline aunt and uncle." She snickered, lacing her fingers behind her head. "I can't wait to tell Dad about this."

He could understand being alone, he grew up in a tree after all as the leader of the fauns, but that was information he was apt to share. He looked at her and nodded, he didn't think he was all that different, but he only really knew fauns.

When he didn't vocally respond, she glanced over at him, green eyes bright. What to talk about...what to talk about. She didn't know much about fauns to really know what to talk about. "So...Rais right? You have a girlfriend faun somewhere back there?"

Rais stopped and looked at the girl. He shook his head, "No, what about you? You got a guy...pae looking for you out there?" He didn't say demon, since she was a demon, but she was also something else. He then went back walking toward the lighthouse.

She stopped when he stopped, suddenly wondering if she had overstepped some odd faun boundary by asking. And for the first time she could ever recall, the green demonic blushed. "Me? Well, I...uh..." Would it look better to say that she did, or didn't? "Well...no." Best go with the truth. She resumed walking. "Most pae are put off by the...antennae..." Now why in the name of Gaia would she tell him that? At least she wouldn't see him ever again.
