Ahh, Rou understands. Rou understands that want quite well. Rou is sure Shuuka's master will be very proud of having him as his apprentice.
And Rou does hope he will be able to... though he fears Master Rou-Dai most likely thinks he is dead, due to how much time has passed... But once he is able to go back home, he will look for him anyway.
And Rou would be very grateful for Shuuka's help.

Shuuka pauses as troublesome thoughts begin to dominate his mind. They flit towards Rou as the Sorcerer-to-be shakes his head, his arms folding before his chest.
From what Shuuka's master has said, Master Rou-Dai might be in more danger than Rou-Dai himself. Gan alluded that the Golden World was under attack, that it could not be saved.
... Of course, such words came from someone who was unable to feed himself.
Shuuka sighs and actually falls backwards, landing in the dirt and grime while he looks heavenward. Shuuka worries about the Golden World, about what they are to do to save their people. Shuuka fears that Gan is right, that it all is a lost cause.

Under attack ? From what ? Rou's eyes widen with panic. He hadn't heard anything about that, but granted he... lives quite far from most source of information.
...Does Shuuka thinks that it has anything to do with their presence here ? With the portals ? He'd met quite a few so far that also came from the Golden World...

Shuuka nods slowly from the ground. There is a force operating in the Golden World that is sending them here. It happened with the Dragon Knights and has taken a number of children and adults. Shuuka cannot perceive why this is taking place, but Gan made it understood that the Golden World was in danger if not already lost.
Shuuka's eyes roll towards Rou as he smiles slightly, a tinge of sadness in the expression. While the Golden World might be doomed, however, that does not mean Rou-Dai is. Shuuka is sure that he is able to protect himself far more easily than either of them can.
Rou must have faith in his master while preparing himself to return to the Golden World. Rika, the Imperial princess, will be making an excursion back soon enough. It is then that Rou can hunt for his master and warn him of the danger that lurks in their homeland.

... Rou hopes so. Rou really hopes so. He'd... been preparing himself, waiting on the day where he could go back and life could be normal again, even though he would miss his new friends. But now, knowing all this...
Rou is scared - but Rou-Shou will not leave Rou-Dai behind without at least trying to go for him. He cannot, not after all his master had done for him...

And Shuuka smiles, his hand reaching to pat at Rou's ankle. Rou-Dai has a very good pupil, doesn't he? When the day comes that Rou goes to look for his master, Shuuka will accompany him--if he will allow the Sorcerer-without-training, that is.
... Shuuka doesn't want Rou to be scared, however. The prince of Autumn Cove leans up, his hands settling on his knees as he glances up to his peer. Fear will not help Rou-Dai, and it will only tear Rou apart. Instead, Rou must focus on strengthening himself. A great power is against them and while they might be unable to do anything to it now, they can focus their bodies and hone their minds to at least be a horrible nuisance to that force.
It is their duty as Sorcerers and as Porcelain! Shuuka smacks his hand against the ground to pull the other Sorcerer apprentice's attention to him. Rou must take up that duty for all, including himself!

Rou doesn't think he is actually that great of a pupil. At least not a very talented one. In was always better than him on all fronts...
...But Shuuka is right. They need to do their best, do what they have to do. Rou-Shou needs to go back for Master Rou-Dai. And for his father.
... and maybe even for In, even if he's the reason Rou is here and that Rou is quite certain that he tried to kill him, even if Rou admits he would kind of want to leave him behind for it.

Shuuken snorts, his eyes narrowing. In apparently is a b*****d that should be dealt with. For now, however, Shuuka asks that Rou forget such slime and remember those who are important.
Rou might not be the best Sorcerer, but he was still selected to become one. His skill will grow, his mastery will develop, and he will become far more worthwhile than he imagined. Shuuka pauses for a moment, his mind wandering to another plane.
. . . What if Shuuka told Rou that there was a place where he could gain the experience of years but when he returned to Gaia, only a month would have passed?

A place where years pass in the span of days in this world ? That... seems extremely surprising, though Rou thinks it would make sense if time flowed differently from one world to another, no ?
...Though that also meant it is entierely possible that time flows differently from Gaia to the Golden World, as well... sweatdrop
Rou... is rather curious, he has to admit. What would such a place be ?

The Space Danish, Shuuka informs Rou without cracking the smallest smile. It's a place that imitates the Golden World, calls itself itself the Silver World, and yet is neither. It's some perversion that a figure is twisting and controlling, but one can gain several years quickly if they enter it.
Shuuka meets Rou's eyes as he stands, his hand gripping the other Sorcerer apprentice's shoulder before pulling him forward. If Rou is brave, if Rou is willing to risk himself, then he can enter the Space Danish and gain the knowledge befitting a Sorcerer. He can grow, become strong, and then return to the Golden World in an attempt to save his father, master, and world.
He will spend years away from all those dear to his heart, however, if he chooses such a path; time will pass like an instance for them, and they might not recognize the boy who became a man.
Can Rou do all of this? Can he set aside fear, take up courage, and do what is necessary?

Ah, the portal in Master Boyan's kitchen ? sweatdrop He had promised to explain Rou about it... though he believe Master Boyan might have forgotten, not that he can blame him.
Rou... probably has no other choice, right ? If he wants to make sure everyone he cares for is allright...
But, behind a wall, he cannot help but linger over how scary that concept is - and fear that he might not be able to gather enough courage to do so...

And Shuuka seems to see that fear--if he cannot see it, he probably has at least felt it in a situation similar to Rou's own. The Sorcerer apprentice's fingers squeeze at Rou's shoulder, a gentle smile lining his face.
Rou does not need to go along--Shuuka will be joining him! He only needs to clear up some business with some of those he knows in Gaia and they can return to the Space Danish.
... Entering with Shuuka might be dangerous, though. An important, cruel figure in the Space Danish is already Shuuka's enemy. The smile vanishes as Shuuka looks to Rou, his brows knitting.
Shuuka can not knowingly put a fellow Sorcerer in danger.

Shuuka's presence, words, and the feel of his hand on his shoulder seems to be reassuring - and Rou manages a smile, though worry returns as the other boy mentions danger.
Rou does have a few things to short out first, too - at the very least, warm Master Boyan... But he shall see.

If Shuuka leaves with Rou, he promises to protect him to the best of his ability. There is a long silence before Shuuka does something very odd.
He raises his finger to his mouth, pops open his mouth, and digs his canine into the offered digit. Blood quickly begins to flow from the wound but Shuuka ignores it, showing no pain but instead pointing the finger at Rou and allowing it to drip steadily to the ground.
From this day on, whenever Rou is in danger, Shuuka will come running to his aid. Rou needs only bind his blood to Shuuka's, and Shuuka will be unable to ever separate himself from his ally.

Rou seems to ponder this for a moment, before the initial surprise wore off. He'd never heard of such a... ritual, perhaps ? But he would be glad to have Shuuka as an ally.
To himself, behind the wall of his mind, he cannot help but think that Shukka is indeed very determined... he knows how he wants things to go, which way he wishes to take, and seems to hold no fear about this fact, and yet do not wish to hurt others, unlike In. Rou... wishes he could be more like Shuuka.
Opening his projections to the other boy once more, Rou only nods - taking the knife from it's hidden pouch in his pocket, and slicing a cut on the tip of his finger - though, unlike Shuuka, he cannot help but wince at the twinge of pain that follows the movement.
And Rou will do the same for Shuuka.
