Vera wasn't a painter to blush but a strange glow seemed to radiate from her face as she smiled to the remark. "Why thank you, that's quite a compliment," she began to spread the berries in the blender an orderly fashion, "I'm not going to lie, but you seem to have some good energy to you to." She finished preparing the smoothie and held the glass awkwardly by the top with her teeth. She was glad that the painter was starting to loosen up.

"Well, a pretty painter deserves compliments," he replied, loosening up to the conversation. "It may have been an accident, but getting splashed today has turned out to be a good thing." He smiled warmly at her. "I get to try something new," indicating the drink held in her teeth, "and I get to know someone new."

Vera gently sent the glass down beside her guest, "You don't seem to meet new painters often. In all honesty, what do you think of me?" She pulled her head back, making her look more beautiful than one would first see. She pawed the pillow a little. She hoped he was interested in him.
