Ellandra hugged Faolan, scowling at the woman and dropping her snowcone in the process. "I've been in their world, Faolan. I like yours - ours - more. Besides, the baby will always know that we love it, and that's what matters anyway."

Faolan just sighed, looking down at his wife. "Elle." He nuzzled her softly, having managed to keep hold of his snowcone. "Our baby ain't gonna know anything but love. Just try and keep the rest of the carnival from showering it with affection." He moved his head to watch the woman dragging her children away, a touch of sadness in his eyes, despite being used to that sort of treatment from outsiders.

Ellandra sighed as well. "Let's go somewhere else?" She half-asked, half-suggested. She'd lost her snowcone anyway; there was nothing more here to do, really. Not that would do anything but make her husband sad. Then a thought crossed her mind, accompanid by a mischevious smile. "You know," she said quietly. "I don't see what it is about these," she continued, reaching up and stroking his horns, "Or these," she added, moving her hands to his ears and repeating the stroking motion on them. "That upsets people so. I think they're striking."

Faolan's ears went straight up when his wife started stroking his horns, then drooped when she touched them, too. A big stupid grin spread across his face and he dropped his snowcone, body going quiet limp against the bench, well . . . mostly limp. He giggled a bit, curling up and fell over, falling off the bench. Laying on the ground, he shivered.

The brunette put her hand to her mouth and giggled, kneling down next to Faolan. "Do we need to go home?" She asked, blushing a bit due to the state she'd inadvertantly put him in. Well now that was interesting to find out!

Faolan gave a soft little moan, staying where he was, still shivering a bit. He reached out and took hold of Elle's hand, giving it a soft squeeze. "N-no more touching like that in public. Worse'n th-the arrhythmia."
Slowly he untucked himself and moved to get on his hands an knees, still shaking a bit. "I'll . . . I'll be alright. Give me a moment, lass." He stayed there a good bit, taking deep breaths to calm down, then sat up on his haunches, and looked up at her.

Ellandra bit her lip. "I'm sorry..." She was worried now, drat it all; this was supposed to be a pleasant outing and now she was feeling horribly guilty.

"Don't be sorry," Faolan laughed. "How're you suppose to know my ears and horns were my . . . hm, good spots?" He stood up languidly, pulling her up with him, and hugged her. "Just promise me when we're home, there will be lots of kisses to my ears, eh?"

Ellandra snuggled up to Faolan and sighed softly. "You think I'm going to forget after that?" She said, smling softly again. So he wasn't upset, then . . . that was good. . . "And of course, I promise," she said, eyes sparkling. "Now where to?"

Faolan shrugged a bit, thinking it over where to take her next--other than the obvious of taking her home for the promised ear-kissing. He grinned, having an idea suddenly. "I know. It's some place you wouldn't expect."
He led her down the streets, a good long walk, till they arrived at an art museum. Faolan looked at her, waiting to see what she thought.

Ellandra gasped softly and squeezed Faolan's hand. "Oh my," she said, her ioce a breathy little whisper. She loved art, but rarely had the chance to go to an actual art museum - or, rather, the courage to go.

"Surprised, wife?" Faolan asked, watching her with half-lidded eyes. Every place they'd gone so far was a part of who he was, an insight to his life. It pleased him that so far, she'd found joy and been impressed with where they'd gone.

"Pleasantly so," Ellandra said, moving so she was nearly touching Faolan as they walked. "I've rarely gotten to go to any of these. . ." She paused and crossed her eyes, just because. "Papa said they were "too scandalous", and by the time hdied I was too afraid to go out much."

"Scandalous? Nonsense. Art is simply beauty that's been recorded through the ages. Sure, there's like to be a few naked statues and paintings, but only because the models were so beautiful, the artists were compelled to capture them so everyone thereafter would be able to bask in their glory," Faolan said softly, opening the door of the museum for her.

Ellandra said nothing -there was nothing to be said. She just stepped inside and took his hand, smiling softly at her at-times deeply insightful husband.
